Wigan say no, we sign a keeper, Diarra anyone???

This line is from this mornings Daily Telegraph…

“Our financial situation has greatly improved,” said Wenger. “We are finally able to buy the players we think we need.”

We all know we have money but who does Arsene Wenger ‘think we need’, I wonder if he thinks the same as most of us fans?

Goalkeeper, 2 defenders and a ‘Song like’ midfielder. Thats a minimum surely? The same article suggests Wenger has £40M in his pocket and any further funds generated from sales. The way I see it is, unless we sell a player for £50M plus, we won’t being seeing players like Gourcuff signed. Hopefully though £40M will equal  four darn good players who want to come and play for Arsenal and want to play their hearts out everytime they put the clubs shirt on.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has stated that dispite all the speculation surrounding Hugo Rodallega, no club has made contact with him regarding his player. To be fair, this rumour began when the player himself suggested Arsene Wenger had been in touch. Looking back, it was more likely to have been his agent doing all he could to get ‘his man’ a move. Shame really, I wouldn’t have minded the big lump up front with us, especially as Nikk B has been holding hands with Arshavin whilst praising up the Catalan stains!!

When I say we signed a keeper, I mean Sean McDermott has signed his first professional contract at the club. This is all well and good for the future, but we need one who’s hands are big enough to fit size large gloves, not ‘large youth’. Come on Arsene sort this situation out and fast, none of us want to see Almunia in goal next season, nor do we want to see Fabianski. I am sure if Wenger was honest, he doesn’t either….

We commented on here the other day about players at Real Madrid who could be up for grabs but Mahamadou Diarra is not a happy bunny right now. He is rumoured to be in for showdown talks with new boss Jose to sort out his future… At 29 years old, and a valuation of £6.5M, he’s certainly within Wengers budget? Described as a ‘ 6ft power house’, could he be the lump to solve the defensive side of our midfield problems for 2/3 seasons. By the time he is over the hill, Eastmond, Frimpong or Coquelin could be ready to step up…..

What do you reckon?

Psssss, did anyone see the rumours about van de Vaart being one of the players that Jose wants to sell…. 😉

  1. rico says:

Morning all, not a mention of Cesc and Yaya Toure in the post 🙂

  2. Alan says:

    Rodallega….big lump? Hardly. He’s about 1m 80.

  3. rico says:

Alan Did i suggest he was a tall big lump???

  4. Gbenga says:

When last did you watch Diarra? Sincerely on current form, he is nowhere close to what we have.

  5. rico says:

Gbenga – he has got to be better than Denilson and Eastmond isn’t ready just yet….

  6. W.A.T.H says:

Morning Rico……….. I’d take both Diarra’s off Real….! AW should never of got rid of Lassana Diarra huge cock up on his part and the other Diarra has had dodgy knee for ages but def better than what we got thats for sure AND as you say would give us something while the younger players that we like progress more and fulfill their potential.

  7. rico says:

Morning WATH, exactly, aren’t we crying out for experience and strength? Diarra would give us that, as for the Lass Diarra, I personally would have rather he stayed, AW must have know Flamini was going …

  8. rico says:

Going on from that, wenger won’t buy players that will ‘kill the kids’ – those we have who have the defensive side to their game need a couple more seasons to really show how good they are – a 29 year old will give them that time, and what a player to learn from, a 29 year old ex Real Madrid, captain of Mali and a winner….

  9. Red Arse says:

    Morning W, Rico,

Trouble is we have all become brainwashed. Instead of wanting/insisting/expecting a young, shit-hot, brilliant player we are ready to accept a player(s) who was good, maybe towards the end of his career and with dodgy knees/back/hamstrings because he is “cheap”.

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.:-)

We must buy quality and looking in the bargain basement instead of Harrods is driving me bonkers.

  10. rico says:

For a man who said he would do all his transfer business before the WC starts, Arsene Wenger sure is quiet – i’d love to be a fly on the wall in his life right now, surely he must be doing something other than packing in suitcase ready for his journey to South Africa….

  11. rico says:

Morning RA, i have to disagree with you totally, look who we have waiting in the wings – Eastmond, Frimpong, Coquelin – if we go buy a 20M player, where does that leave them? Where would it leave Song??

Song has been a rock for us, look what happened at the end of last season when he was missing through injury??

If we go get a ‘shit hot’ talent in, Song won’t sit on the bench to make way – and why should he??

If we get the right keeper, the right two defenders, our midfield will be fine… Diarra would mean no more Denislon…

  12. rico says:

Looking at the youth/academy, its clear to see imho where wenger priorites are, we have a glut of strikers, left sided midfielders and central midfielders, the one thing we don’t seem to have coming through is a few big strong tall defenders, strange that….

  13. K-TR7 says:

Morning all.diarra is a no to me since he has a dodgy knee and has been poor.with african cup of nations 2012 and 2013 i don’t won’t us having many players away.yaya toure is a mercenary and will also participate in that tournament so he is a no go for me.he changes clubs more often than women buy shoes…

  14. rico says:

Hi ktr7, but his injury has passed, he’s fully fit….

  15. Red Arse says:

Rico, I understand what you mean about Diarra(s) and would not be against such a tfr, but I was speaking more generally.

But as you mention Frimpong, Eastmond and Coquelin, I can give you my opinion on them, not that you will be interested, I suppose. I watched all the Arsenal youth and reserve team games, either on Sentanta or live, over the last 3 years, and in my opinion Frimpong who I really rated seems to have gone backwards, partly because of injury.

Coquelin, another I really liked, has become disillusioned perhaps because he has been moved out of position, and is reportedly on the verge of a loan/permanent move to France.

I cannot believe all the hype over Eastmond. He is without doubt the worst youth player I have ever seen at Arsenal in many years and if he ever makes a career at Arsenal, I will go to the foot of our stairs.

But then, what do I know?

  16. rico says:

I will have to take your word on Frimpong, I haven’t seen him since Setanta went down the drain, but the club have high hopes for him.

Coquelin will no doubt move back into the midfield this coming season with Eastmond being more involved in the first team squad… He is a little terrier, who i think has ruled out moving…

I am not sure I agree re Eastmond, he is still very young to be judged, he was a bit ‘thrown in at the deep end’ …

  17. rico says:

RA, Frimpong has said himself that last season was up and down due to his injury, he also says that this coming season is massive for him and he’s out to get back to his best.

The club say that he is one that has a ‘real chance’ of pushing into the first team.

At 18 years old, I’m not so sure he is ready yet, but he is strong and gets stuck in, i really hope he gets a chance at some stage, shame he has chosen to represent Ghana… Don’t blame him though 😉

  18. Red Arse says:

Like most things in footie, it’s all a matter of opinion, and there are millions of them.

    Time will tell.

I just don’t think I want to hold my breath waiting for them. I am also tired of waiting for the youth players to come thru.

Over the years we have had high hopes for Simpson, Lansbury, Randall etc etc and we are still waiting. You can call me disillusioned or you can call me Veronica but I want quality now, not in some distant future. The current team need just a little bit more quality now in the areas you mentioned, GK, CH(s)and a DMF. That would make all the difference to winning things big time.

You might get the impression I feel passionately about this, and I do, but it’s actually frustration with the make do and mend philosophy Arsene is peddling.

  19. K-TR7 says:

Cr9 has just said he was inches away from signing for us.he visited our ground 3 times…imagine we would’ve had a team of hleb,cr9,rosicky,rvp,fabregas,flamini,…would’ve have won at least 2 cls and 3 premier leagues in the last five seasons.

  20. rico says:

RA, We all want success now, trust me, I do.

  21. rico says:

RA, the other thing we have to remember that we don’t have a big rich sugar daddy, we only have 40M so its told, if we spend 30M on one player we wont get the keeper, two defenders and midfielder we need….

  22. rico says:

ktr7, where does he say that please??

  23. rico says:

Off for an hour, laters 😉

  24. W.A.T.H says:

    Afternoon Veronica, I mean RA… and you K-T… how’s things…..

Agreed we need proven players RA but also think 2/3 or those kids will come through this yr. Again Coquelin is a typical wenger cock up…. the kid looks greta in central midfield and now all of a sudden they want him playing right back, what the fuck is that all about..? I’d be pissed off as well if I was him…!. round pegs in square holes again… time after time after time… Enough of that shit Arsene play ppl in their right positions and if they not good enough in that position then sell em… Simple.

  25. rico says:

    Afternoon peeps…

Same with eastmond WATH, wasn’t he a RB?? They did a swap for some stupid idiotic reason…..

Senderos is having talks with Fulham as I type….

  26. K-TR7 says:

Aw has again said he wants to splash on defence…

  27. rico says:

Nani is now out of the WC, they are dropping like flies out there…..

  28. rico says:

Good ktr7, thats what we all want him to do too –

what do you make of Senderos to Fulham ??

  29. W.A.T.H says:

Wenger says we need to sepnd and will spend if we need too…. “IF” we need too…? is he demented it should be we desperately need too….! it’s not a fuckin “IF”…! twit…!

  30. rico says:

WATH, he will spend, he knows he has to….

What has Senderos really ever done wrong, other than be bullied by Drogba and saying he wanted to stay at Milan??

    6’3″ 25years old….. watch him learn at Fulham…

  31. rico says:

Goal keeping coach Alex Welsh has left the academy, maybe he should take the first team goal keeping coach with him……

  32. agirlagunner says:

    Hola, all!

rico, I haven’t seen much of M. Diarra, so I can’t make an informed judgment; but I have seen plenty (much too much actually) of Denilson and know that it won’t take much to be better than him.

  33. K-TR7 says:

Sendy will be a rock at fulham rico.afternoon agag.

  34. rico says:

Hi agag, he is a solid midfielder, 29 and has been there, done it and got medals and t-shirt to prove it 🙂

  35. W.A.T.H says:

Him and Essien at Lyon were awesome together AGAG….!

  36. agirlagunner says:

    Hi, KTR7 and Wath.

    I wish we had Essien types… instead…

And rico, congrats on not mentioning you know who. Haha. No mean feat, that.

  37. Red Arse says:

Hi Guys back again to plague you. 🙂

You speak truth mighty W. Wenger has been getting my goat a lot lately, and I would like my goat back.

The “If” he appears to be referring to is; “If Sivestre, Gallas and Campbell leave blah blah”

Does he not understand the word “proactive”? He should get on and lead, use his initiative, not wait until Gallas and Campbell are holding up another club’s shirt, or Silvestre decides he would like to stay and get slower next season and then be reactive on the last day of the transfer window. Oh dear missed it ….. again! He must surely see that Gallas with his silence is simply pulling his plonker.

    Grrr. 😦 (doubled).

  38. rico says:

    That’s my worry ktr7…

I am sick of the story to be honest agag, will he won’t he, will yaya won’t yaya…. boring, i’m getting to the point where i couldn’t care less, as long as you know who is replaced with quality and class….

  39. K-TR7 says:

I believe diaby can be a monster in midfield.he has been one of the better players inthe pre worldcup friendlies.i hope he fulfills his potential especially consistency issues…

  40. agirlagunner says:

RA, I know. It is beyond frustrating. Why do we wait and wait and wait until the last minute to sign players? And why are we never seriously linked to quality signings? I don’t want the next Vieira or Zidane or whoever. I want VDV now!

  41. Red Arse says:

    I agree K-T.

I first saw Diablo playing for the French U 17’s and again later for their U 19’s.

He was massively talented and in fact in his first games for Arsenal he looked real class. That dreadful injury at the end of that first season put him back 2 years in my opinion.

He does sometimes look lethargic and is frustrating because the talent is there. Denilson is another story. Untalented, hard-working, untalented, liked by Arsene, untalented. Nuff said.

  42. rico says:

    RA, spot on….

ktr7, i am unsure on Diaby, i don’t think his brain and feet work together, bit like Theo…

  43. Red Arse says:

I love you Agag. 🙂 (in a decent way) 🙂 That is absolute music to my ears to hear you say that. If enough of us bang on about it maybe even the thickoes holding the purse strings at Arsenal will catch on.

  44. agirlagunner says:

rico, am sick and tired of it too. But the stained ones do their rounds with you know who’s DNA sample, so on it goes interminably. Pffft.

KTR7, before the Porto 2nd leg match, when was Diaby was last outstanding for us though? December? Seems aeons ago.

  45. rico says:

agag, DVD would seriously be the number 10, sit behind the strikers and ping ping ping the perfect pass – maybe its the dutch connection that truly makes us believe he fill the void left when dennis left…

  46. W.A.T.H says:

Thing is RA diaby does not have a football brain… he has all the talent and skill but lacks basic sense… holds onto the ball far to long never ever lets the ball do the work….! Denilson is AW trying to turn him into flamini and he isnt…! he is limited and not a flamini type player so looks far worse then he is if allowed to simply get the ball and lay it off and in some games thet would work.

When was the last time we were either linked with someone or bought someone that genuinely had you excited…? I would have to go back to that being Overmars for me and b4 that DB10……….. Since then nothing and its piss poor…!

  47. terry says:

diarra and essien are bith injured ….
we must get flamini(7m) or melo(15m)…
and smba(5-7m) and pederson(10m)(left mid or left winger) from blackburn..
    and kjier(12m) …

  48. K-TR7 says:

Boulahrouz has sustained an ankle injury for the dutch.something is seriously wrong…

  49. rico says:

hi terry, i never want to see flamini in an arsenal shirt again….

  50. K-TR7 says:

Did you know no foreign manager has ever won the worldcup?…agag thats what im saying about consistency.he has all the attributes a midfielder would dream of…

  51. Red Arse says:

    Copy that Rico.

Flamini left for money and warmed the bench. serves the s*d right. Never want to see him or any others like that in an Arsenal shirt again.

W I was really excited when Arsenal got Sol. He was young and classy and our last real CH.

I think Diaby does sometimes look clueless (like Theo) but in both cases I suspect they are trying too hard to please and do the “right” thing instead of playing intuitively.

  52. rico says:

all the winning managers have been foreign in my book ktr7 😉 😉 😉

  53. rico says:

re the injuries, you just know that one day soon its going to be an arsenal player………

  54. rico says:

had flamini been honest, diarra would still be with us….

  55. agirlagunner says:

    🙂 RA

No more prodigious youth. Please. Enough already. I want someone who’ll bowl me over and leave me breathless. And not in a hyperventilatingly angry way much like how D&D frequently render me.

rico, Flamini left with the intent to cripple us, and I can’t forgie him for that.

  56. terry says:

what abt veloso…hes really good as def mid seen him play against everton in europa legue….

joa mutinio from sporting… as attacking mid wether cecs leaves or no…

    alves from porto…..

    and samba from blackburn …..

all would add steel to this kiddo arsenal team..

  57. rico says:

WATH, I was quite excited when we signed Reyes…. however, Henry obviously wasn’t 😉

He sure did agag, dont say that to JJ though…. 😉

  58. agirlagunner says:

@rico, let it be a Barcelona player first. I mean Arsenal are hopeless with injuries, and I would be more surprised if everyone goes through the WC unscathed. I hope it’s not Robin though. I want him to be smashing.

  59. rico says:

or manc, chav, spud or citeh player agag, 😉 🙂

  60. Red Arse says:

Agag, re your 3:18 post; I’m surprised W hasn’t been on to offer his services.

Terry I really like what your suggesting. Trouble is we are back to the tired old rubbish about not wanting to stifle the development of the Arsenal kids. Also known in George Graham’s day as “I won’t spend silly money” (in a scottish accent) 🙂

  61. W.A.T.H says:

AGAG, bit I bowl u over and leave you breathless….!

Rico, agreed a little with Reyes but he was hardly worldclass just could of been and yes RA Sol was a blinder just cos we nicked him off the pikey cnuts…!. The rest though… very very unimpressive to make you go wow have we just bought him… brilliant…!.

Veloso has a really bad attitude problem so the portugese say but who knows, he also has a very large rear which looks like he been stuffing to many mars bars…!

  62. agirlagunner says:

lol, rico. Of course, you’re right. 🙂

  63. W.A.T.H says:

    RA…………re:AGAG… lol………. I was already there mate 🙂

  64. W.A.T.H says:

It’s amazing RA I leave AGAG breathless and wanting more but she’s always the one who finishes the bottle….!

  65. Red Arse says:

Ah W, but did you bowl her over first.

If not, obtain a ball and three stumps and away you go. Serendipity!!

  66. rico says:

RA, its not about killing the youth for me, its about spending the little money we have wisely…

One world class player and its all gone! Dirra is just an example of what is out there to strengthen our squad without paying silly money…

  67. agirlagunner says:

Crazy, WATH and RA. I’m now having a wonder at whether or not you are indeed the same person…

And here I was thinking WATH, that you’d be behaving for a change 🙂

  68. Red Arse says:

Rico, I have said I would happily vote for W as negotiator in chief (Barca Division), and I would like to nominate you as Chief of the Purse. 😉

When you get behind Arsenal’s parsimonious claptrap, that £40m looks v. suspect.

Sold Kolo/Barndoor £35m alone. That means this year’s budget for buying is only £5m? Yeah, Right! 🙂

  69. Red Arse says:

Terry is on the right lines regarding Samba. I’m not sure he is available but physically he fits my idea of what we need.

Trouble is, again, Arsene seems to think someone 3 inches shorter would fit the bill. Does he pay by the inch do you think?

  70. agirlagunner says:

rico and RA, we have every reason to be all up in arms over transfers this summer because we know that proceeds from the citeh transfers are intact, arguably our best player wants away– to the stains of all clubs, our most expensive signing is falling all over himself for the stains, our most conceited player is likewise a fan of the stains, the stains are apparently targeting our first choice CB, and so far all we’ve done is conclude the hush hush affair that was Chamakh.

We are an unsettled club at the moment. On the other hand RvP and Song love us. 🙂

  71. agirlagunner says:

    CB = LB

  72. terry says:

red arse.. we are thinkin alike coz waht we need is physical presence in this team .. see what song and diaby bring to this team…

  73. Red Arse says:

I agree Terry. Thomas V is a brilliant addition to Arsenal as a Centre back (a great surprise to me as I only saw him playing left back) but we really need a Big Un to go with him.

When you think back to the Invincibles most of our players were wonderfully skilled but also over 6 foot.

e.g. Henry, Viera, Pires, etc. I don’t know why Arsene then changed course and went for skilled diddymen! 🙂

Both physically and skill wise Song and Diaby go some way to reshaping that, although some fans are not too convinced by Diaby. But then Song had a torrid couple of seasons before he was accepted and I think Diablo will win them over. I hope so anyway.

The saying “a good big one will always beat a good little one” is generally true, if you don’y count the Messi’s of this world.

  74. Red Arse says:

Agag you are right as usual.

If we get Shwarzer (and I’m not really happy with that) I understand he will cost about £3m. Logically we will then sell Almunia for £6m? Presumably we can add that to Rico’s £40m kitty. 🙂

  75. rico says:

RA, I’m not sure that the money from the sale of Lardy and Toure is still around, me thinks its help pay a few debts 😉

Sadly we need too many players for the funds we have, no doubt we will get four unknown/hardly known players. I do’t mind that as long as they up to the job and prepared to work hard, oh, and they have a footballing brain!! 😉

agag, if we build a stronger squad and start winning, the stains, who will be second best in spain next season, will be less attractive…

  76. terry says:

at 42m at our disposal we can afford veloso…(is very similar to yaya and has proved he can play well against the premier league sides e.g:europa league)

    samba from blackburn and kjier

we can get all the 3 players for a maximum of 35m and if we want can sell eddy and sign kuyt from liverpool….they guy plays his heart out in every game and can play as a striker and a right winger.

  77. agirlagunner says:

RA, I can’t find it in me to be all agog over Schwarzer either. But I guess, he would be perfect to have on board while Chesney gets experience.

The thing about Diaby is that each amazing game he has is succeeded by seven godawful ones. Song, on the other hand, has figured out his place and role in the team.

rico should get that 40 mil kitty, and buy me Torres. 🙂 With RvP on current form, we’d breach the 100 goal mark by December.

  78. agirlagunner says:

terry, let’s not sell Dudu (one more season!). We can give away Denilson for free though. 🙂

  79. W.A.T.H says:

    If I behaved AGAG u wouldn’t love me anymore….!
Enough players mentioned that would give us lots of balance and depth and quality thing is we aint wenger…!

  80. terry says:

torres would be loved at arsenal but we need a trf budget of 80m in that case

  81. K-TR7 says:

Diaby collapsed right towards the end as did the whole team.he was playing a dm role which isn’t the best for him.before that he was brilliant for most games and i like RA hope he continues improving.

  82. rico says:

Fulham have signed Senderos, three year deal !!!!

  83. Red Arse says:

    Spot on W.

We need some lateral thinking here. This what I propose!

    W for Negotiator. Fact
Rico for Chief of Purse. Fact
    Terry for Chief Scout. Fact
    Agag for Manager. Fact

With you 4 in charge we can say sod off to the Gunners management and we will win everything. Fact!

  84. rico says:

agag, i’d rather go get you Reina 😉 😉

  85. terry says:

if liverpool accept bid of 40m for torres and we extend gallas’s contract and sign samba/taylor for 5m we would definately win the league…
    sell denielson 5m , eddy 8-10m, all the reserves(5-7m)
do u think this is possible…

  86. agirlagunner says:

We like you just fine when you’re being silly, WATH. 🙂 But no Joe90-ing, please. Heebie jeebies. Ahem, RA.

terry, I already love Torres and he isn’t even at Arsenal. And would probably never be. With our budget constraints, we can get half of him; that would be better than a lot of our players.

KTR7, Diaby had best sort out his game; he can’t keep teasing us with terrific performance and hope we’d be satisfie.

  87. terry says:

diaby is a box to box mid and nota def mid …he is not versitile but pretty good at his role…if we play him def mid he is not that good…
u never know we might buy torres….agirlagunner why the hell did u speak abt toress… now im only thinkin how to adjust him in that budget that we have.

  88. agirlagunner says:

RA, I can’t manage. JJ can do it. I’d like the refreshments and catering job though. Access to GG and all that.

rico, okay, I suppose Reina would do… for now. That means, you’re readying the way for Tores’ transfer next year. Reina’s Villa’s best bud, I read somewhere. Maybe Reina can tap Villa up for us. Three birds, one stone. You’re one smart cookie, rico.

  89. Red Arse says:

Agag, for you, I will give up my favourite disguise.

Although it is with great reluctance, after all if it was good enough for Superman and ex-Prime Minister John Major I would never have been detected! 😉

  90. K-TR7 says:

Robin is 6th favourite to win wc golden boot according to titanbet.he is behind villa, messi, rooney, fabiano and torres in that order.go rvp!!RA that management would get us relegated by December…imagine wath distributing GG instead of energy drinks to the players…imagine a drunk diaby!

  91. Red Arse says:

O.K. agag, you are in charge of Social Activities. Oh my God. Wath you will be in clover.

JJ for Manager, and K-T for Sooth-Sayer. Done!

Now go and get us Torres, Samba, Reina etc and someone who can sing on the coach onnthe way home, Agag.

  92. terry says:

which country r u guys supporting for the world cup

  93. Red Arse says:

You see K-T you are the perfect appointment as Sooth Sayer!! 😉

Everything you say about W and GG, and a drunk Diablo makes me salivate. In a cultured sort of way, of course. 🙂

  94. K-TR7 says:

Agag why wouldn’t you manage?i think you’d be pretty good at it…i’m not sure about rico with all he puppy and cocks business…

  95. Red Arse says:

Terry, as England chucked out their only Arsenal player I am going for Holland and RVP.

  96. Red Arse says:

K-T, what is all this about Agag and “cocks business”?

Are you trying to frighten the horses and me? 😉

  97. agirlagunner says:

RA, KTR7 can manage. He’s excellent with formations, and plays, and what have you. How could I forget?

  98. rico says:

agag, did you mention david villa 🙂 🙂 😳 swoon swoon

  99. K-TR7 says:

With cesc’s beard, diaby’s afro and goatee and song’s dreadlocks our midfield looks like a fashion advert…cesc looks quite different in his beard.i hope the weedlord has nothing to do with this…

  100. terry says:

me too for Holland, i love each player in their squad…
we should sign attacking mids from holland in case rocisky leaves….dont even think cecs will leave us…

  101. K-TR7 says:

RA rico breeds cocks in her backyard.i think she even has a dog…she’s a pandoras box i tell you!

  102. agirlagunner says:

KTR7, I can’t manage because I’m the type to take out a second mortgage on the stadium… to buy Torres and Villa and VDV. And I’ll shop us out of house and home justlikethat.

Oh but… we’ll have Torres and Villa and VDV. 🙂

  103. terry says:

ya and senderos has signed for fulham … i just seen it on arsenal.com

  104. Erick says:

Weedlord who is that 😉 Howdy all whats new

  105. Red Arse says:

Damn, now K-T has given away my alternative disguise.

That description of Cesc, Diablo and Song has ruined it for me. How did he know? What will Wath say?

  106. K-TR7 says:

Terry dutch all the way.i want to see rvp in his false nine role ripping teams a new one.denmark will be torn apart since one of their cbs(kjaer/agger) pushes up and rvp will pull him out of position giving the dutch ams acres of space to operate against 1cb..i also love chile for tactical reasons…

  107. Erick says:

The dutch obsession is spreading thanks to Agag and Rico

  108. agirlagunner says:

RA, thank you. To be fair, I am only depriving you of two props. And I’m sure you’d find another disguise that’s less… drafty…

rico, sounds like a plan! Oh if only, we had the funds!!

terry, I like 2/3 of team Spain (1/3 = barca stains = barf; Villa still rocks though) and all but three in Holland (I have yet to change my mind about the divers Robben and Babel; and I think Sneijder’s full of himself.)

  109. agirlagunner says:

Hey, Erick. How are you? What’s not to like about the Dutch attack?

  110. Red Arse says:

Hi Erick, In a nutshell, we have been fantasising about what players we think Arsene should buy.

The trouble is as Wath has said we know that Wenger won’t do it.

We therefore elected a Board of Management to run the club instead of him and now Agag has changed her mind about the Manager at least 3 times.

If you would like to volunteer, see the post at 5:03 and have a word with Agag. 🙂

  111. agirlagunner says:

terry, I promise you, you imagine Torres in a red shirt with white sleeves, even just once, and you’re ruined for life. Take it from me. 🙂

  112. K-TR7 says:

It looks as if two of our finest in agag and rico have had their hearts stolen by the spanish strike duo…no wonder wath has to use GG to even out the playing field…

  113. Red Arse says:

Well Rico/Agag, it’s time for a little Cabernet Sauvignon, so I must bid you a fond farewell.

See all the rest of you guys tomorrow and hopefully you will have sorted out the tfrs for a proper team for the Gunners by then.

  114. agirlagunner says:

I am off too. Good night, kids. Be good (looking at you Weedlord and WATH, esp.) and be safe.

LOL, KTR7. You don’t get much better than Torres and Villa, methinks. Sigh. Swoon.

Go get me, Reina, rico. Let’s get our grand plan rolling.

  115. rico says:

Gosh, you all gone, night night agag and RA, enjoy your evening…..

    Evening Erick 🙂

  116. rico says:

    Talking of going…..

I’m off for the day folks and not around tomorrow at all…..

Maybe me missing will bring good news in transfers, see you all sometime Thursday 🙂

Stay safe and be good 🙂

  117. rico says:

    Yesterday was quiet then 😦
