I’d love it, I would just love it, if…..

Yesterday,  Atletico Madrid announced/unveiled Fran Merida as their new player and I have to admit, I am very sad we have not been able to keep him….

Barca born Fran, stolen by our mighty fine manager (well, he used to be) from the Spanish Club, Barcelona a few years ago has finally left us.

Funny enough, he followed in the footsteps of another stolen boy from the Catalan club, his name, go on, you don’t need me to tell you…

Both born and bred in Barcelona, both part of the youth set up at Barca, both left to be guided by Arsenal and to learn from Arsene Wenger…

So now Fran Merida has gone, but that is where it’s strange, he has signed for a club in Madrid and not even Real Madrid!!

Here he is in his new club shirt!!   😦 😦

That would be like a player being born in one of the houses near to Highbury, going off overseas to say Ajax, then on return to England, signing for the Spuds or Chavs – would you do that?? Like heck would you, no more than I would….

Wouldn’t it really be funny though if old Jose Mourinho, who says he still loves Chelsea, decided to kill two birds with one stone? I would laugh my socks off (I know I shouldn’t) if, when he is confirmed as the Real Madrid Manger, he contacts Arsene Wenger and tells him the Madrid will pay 80M for Cesc Fabregas – or 60M and Lassana Diarra or Van Der Vaart, or even Casillas…..

Jose says, ‘Deal or no deal Arsene’, Wenger says ‘Deal’

What Jose has then done is help out the chavs (in his view) by making us weaker, and really pissed off Barcelona for nicking the local rivals player from under their nose. But in reality, all he has done is cheesed off Barca, cheesed off Cesc and along the way, given our mighty fine club lots of money to rebuild with. If we accept either deal we could possibly be better off.

Imagine this scene, but with Cesc in a Real Madrid shirt….

If Cesc has to go and I hope he doesn’t, I really hope Jose Mourinho throws a big fat spanner in the works……

But funny enough, the only winner would be us, surely? We have got the best deal for Arsenal, strengthened our on side either by the swap player and players Wenger will be able to get with the money or by getting the money alone and on top of that we have shown the footballing world that we are no longer a club to be pissed around!!

But what would be really funny is, Fran Merida and Cesc Fabregas, both Barca born, both Arsenal ‘made’, then become rivals in La Liga and both at Madrid rather than their home town……

Call me sad all you want, but in the words of Kevin Keegan, ‘I would just love it’!!!

    Extract from The Daily Telegraph….

To begin this blog, I must profess an interest. I’ve always been a fan of Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood.

He is a complete one-off in the increasingly sanitised and corporate world of football. He is engaging, funny, frank with his opinions, occasionally indiscreet and never one to take himself too seriously. He is the kind of guy who would sit with supporters and entertain them for hours with anecdotes about Arsenal over a cigar and a glass of gin.

In short, he is of the old school; the living embodiment of what gives Arsenal much of its character and identity as the most traditional and decent of clubs. He is also, of course, the third generation from the Hill-Wood family to have been Arsenal chairman.

His critics might say he is too old-fashioned to be chairman of a modern Premier League club, but they should also consider some facts. In his 28 years as chairman, he has appointed two of the greatest managers in the club’s history in George Graham and Arsene Wenger, seen the club win five league titles, helped oversee a successful move to a new stadium and presided over one of the most financially well managed clubs in world football. Not a bad record.

But another facet of Hill-Wood’s chairmanship is the occasional tendency to come out with the sort of honest remark that would not be signed off by any PR department. He did it once over Stan Kroenke and, again it seems over Cesc Fabregas when he suggested recently that the Arsenal captain might not get into the Barcelona team.

According to today’s Daily Mirror, the perceived slight from Hill-Wood was a significant factor in Fabregas’s decision to want to leave Arsenal. If so, it would be one of the worst examples of a thin-skinned footballer I can ever remember.

Just consider what Hill-Wood actually said: “If you want my opinion, I’m not sure he would even get in their team. Do they need him? I’m not sure that they do.” Now if Fabregas has really taken offence at that, he needs a reality check.

For a start, it is true. Fabregas is not assured of getting into a Barcelona midfield that also includes Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Keita and Toure.

And, even if it wasn’t true, it is hardly the end of the world for Hill-Wood to offer a personal football opinion that is not laced with the usual sycophantic nonsense that most club officials display towards their star players.

Ultimately, it is also not really believable that Fabregas would allow the biggest decision of his career to be affected by one casual remark from Hill-Wood. The wider suspicion is that it is an attempt by someone in the Fabregas or Barcelona camp to deflect blame for his decision. If so, it hasn’t worked. For if today’s Mirror scoop looks bad on anyone, it is Fabregas and not Hill-Wood.

nah fab will never go madrid as he is a barca boy….dont get me wrong i would love the inflated price we would get from madrid however, he will only go to barca because thats where he is from and if he went to madrid, he will never be able to step foot in barcalona again lol

  3. rico says:

morning mike, yep, you know that as do i, but i’d still love it if jose offered a price we couldn’t turn down….

  4. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

    Hi Rico!

That would surely be a strange twist to this saga, now wouldn’t it? But with regards to Merida joining Atletico, wouldn’t it be more like if it was an Arsenal chap going abroad for a few years, then coming back to England, signing for Everton, Man City or Birmingham? All of them the “second-best” team in their cities?

Then again, I don’t think Cesc would ever pen a deal with Real Madrid to be honest.

But it would be some slap in the face of those “more-than-a-c**t” fu**ers down in Catalunya!

  5. Alan says:

Not sure Wenger would do that to Cesc

  6. JonJon says:

    good post ricoliciuos. 😉

real would pay the money but would cesc go??

he left barca to begin with so i think its more about trophies than anything.. and with jose and ronaldo there it wouldnt be beyond the realms of possiblity for cesc to agree.especially if barca are pissing about

real would be our best option..we would get the higest price and it would send out a huge fuck u to those shitbags..

  7. rico says:

Morning VCC, it would be a funny twist, the comparrison mad is because of the two ‘same city’ clubs’ after all little madrid is like ‘little spuds’ 😉

Hi Alan, if Cesc truly wants to leave, our club should go for whats best for the club not the outgoing player….

  8. JonJon says:

alan if cesc wants out and real offer 80mil while barca are trying to get him for a pair of bootlaces then wenger will do whats best for the club and not for cesc

  9. rico says:

Morning JJ, i know he wouldn’t want to go there, but 🙂

You wait though JJ, Jose will be the one winning the trophies with RM next season, you can just see it can’t you 🙂

  10. rico says:

Anyone see the sad news about Gary Coleman – aka ‘what you talking about Willis’ – he died yesterday, 42yrs old!!

  11. Erick says:

Morning good people Cesc to Madrid would be the greatest slap the Barca stains would get the DNA would turn to Dry Gin 🙂

  12. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

This contracts-thingy is a bit strange I think. What does it really do? It should be the bond between a player and the club for a certain amont of money during a certain amount of time. But it clearly doesn’t work that way. If a player really want to leave, the manager or the club almost never stand in the way of that, because it’s no good having a player that won’t turn up for the games, is it? And if a club wants to sell the player, what should the player do? Sit around for a couple of years untl his contract runs out and then try and find another club and get a decent paycheck allthough he hasn’t played a game for a few years?

So – what is contracts really good for?

  13. JonJon says:

    howdy erick..

i used to love that show rico..

  14. JonJon says:

contracts mean sod all in todays game, loyalty means nothing..

the only thing they do count for is that they dictate the players transfer fee as much as talent and age

a player with 4 years left on a contract if worth a whole lot more than a player with 6 months left..

  15. K-TR7 says:

Morning.laporta has apparently said cesc is not worth more than 30mil…is he mad?well it looks like cesc may have to stay because no way are we letting shot of our best player at that price.

  16. JonJon says:

is worth a whole lot more..

  17. Erick says:

Morning JJ 🙂 VCC thats what is killing modern football the money involved is such that it makes the contract look like a piece of paper and Eufa is trying to correct that

  18. rico says:

    Morning Erick, KTR7

Isn’t ‘Le Porter’ off out the door soon 😉

    Wonder what will happen then…

  19. rico says:

I read yesterday that this new rule about spending what you earn is going to begin being phased in next season – we’ll be hard pushed to spend what we earn with old ebenezer…

  20. Erick says:

K-tr7 howdy Laporta can kiss my dishrag he aint getting Cesc for peanuts he has to pay and pay good Dosh 🙂

  21. Erick says:

Morning Rico yap the club spends only what profit they make not breaking the banks with Loans

  22. JonJon says:

the thing with this new rule rico is that its pretty much worthless..

the sugar daddies will just clear the debts off and put it down on the finances as shirt sales or something along those lines..

roman would just go out and buy a million chelsea shirts evey year instead of writing a blank cheque

also..whats the punishment going to be??? exclusion from europe??

all the big clubs will just turn round and say bollox to uefa and start their own league..uefa will lose all sponserships so it wont happen..

if all these laws come in it means arsenal will be the only club left in existance and we cant play ourselves so this spend what you earn thing is aload of tosh

  23. rico says:

Erick, yep, but wenger never spends as much as we earn anyway 😉

  24. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

Yeah, something definitely has to be done about this. I read somewhere they could get a fine up to $1 million in the NBA for “tapping-up” players. Some coach for Dallas Mavericks (I think?) was talking on national radio about how it would be a boost to have LeBron James in his team, and BAM! 100,000 dollars was taken out of his clubs pocket. It was a mere remark, not a constant stream of bolloks like in the case we have with Cesc-Barca.

We have the tapping-up rules, but they (UEFA) don’t do anything about it. It’s a shame.

  25. K-TR7 says:

Does anyone else find it weird that arsenal fans(including myself) don’t rate walcott?he looks great at full throttle but something still lacks…a few years ago AW said walcott is better than messi in off the ball movement but messi better on the ball.nasri’s 2nd goal vs the mancs showed this aspect where he dragged vidic with a diagonal run.we all know defenders hate raw pace and i hope with beckham’s aid he becomes a finished article.what makes messi great is that he provides ‘anfield moments’ on a weekly basis;i hope theo can build that confidence to do it week in week out because he seems like a good bloke.he should cut all the media interviews, knuckle down and work hard.i really hope he has a massive impact in south africa and he kicks on from there.Good luck theo…

  26. Surrey Gunner says:

Anti Barca rant/Players loving Arsenal and Wenger and then leaving.

The earlier suggestion Cesc to Madrid is a really great idea (I mean it) I so so hate Barca now (understatement – saw a cyclist with a Barca shirt and had words) I want Arsenal to sell Cesc to Madrid.

So the Barca media campaign to get Cesc to Barca has quieten down. I think Arsenal fans should be nervous. I still believe he is worth 80 Million

Secondly if another player says they really respect Arsenal, and Wenger. I will commit GBH I am so so sick of it.

  27. rico says:

platini has siad that the clubs like chavs, mancs and dippers will not be permitted to play in CL/Europe if they over spend, but like you say, who is going to police the rule to stop the suga daddies??

  28. JonJon says:

nobody will want to watch the CL if all the big clubs werent in it..

you ban these clubs and it makes the CL as bad as the europa league..

    it simply wont happen..

  29. Erick says:

Every system has its weakness JJ and people are always looking to work around it so its a fear but may be it will come with its advantage

  30. rico says:

Morning Surrey Gunner, good job it wasn’t me who saw the cyclist in the barca shirt, i wouldn’t have had a clue what was written if it was in spanish 😉 😉

  31. JonJon says:

tapping up only works if the player actually moves to the club..if cesc doesnt move but we still make a complaint both the club (barca) and the player (cesc) will be fined..we are just shooting ourselves in the foot if cesc remains an arsenal player but he gets hit by a massive fine..it just makes an unhappy player more unhappy..we dont want that..

if he moves then we can sting them and my guess is thats why the club has kept quiet on the issue..they are waiting to see what happens

  32. rico says:

It’s funny how platini always refers to the english clubs when talking about the new rule, does he honestly believe that Madrid earn as much as they spent last summer???

I am sure that man is racist to english clubs…

  33. JonJon says:

    theos garbage..

  34. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

I don’t find it that weird. He hasn’t done much good since he began playing in the first team, a few breath-taking moments apart. Liverpool away in the CL a couple of years ago for example. He doesn’t have the technique required on this level. YET. The problem I feel, is that I really can’t see it coming either, he seems far off when it comes to controlling the ball and making the right decisions. Unfortunately.

But then again. This rant comes from a guy who once upon a time literally wanted Alexandre Song to be sent out in space in a small box, never to return again to the surface of Earth. And I used to cry about having to watch Flamini play in a team like Arsenal. I rarely get it right in the long run. So there’s your hope Theo. Christian from Sweden don’t believe in you!

Now go be the top goalscorer in the WC and win it for England so I can shut my mouth.

  35. jack says:

According to Arseblog Merida is an Atletico supporter, so it make a bit of sense him going there, and I didn’t recognise Gary Coleman as a gooner.

  36. K-TR7 says:

Rico the favourite for presidency said they won’t jeopardise their finances to get cesc.it jush shows you they don’t need him but are hoping to get him below market price.if thats the case it looks like they are unsettling cesc for future advances.

  37. JonJon says:

if hes the top scorer in the WC it means we can sell him for 40mil..

    hopefully 😉

  38. Erick says:

K-TR7 theo’s pace + ronaldo’s skill he needs to work on his skills

  39. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

“platini has siad that the clubs like chavs, mancs and dippers will not be permitted to play in CL/Europe if they over spend, but like you say, who is going to police the rule to stop the suga daddies??”

    This guy apparently: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/27/Nl-be_jean-luc_dehaene.ogg

  40. JonJon says:

    barca are just fucking about..

cesc has finally said hes open to a move and they still cant put their money where their mouths are..

i hope this prooves to cesc they are a set of wasters and he tells them after this year to fuck off because if they really loved him as much as we do theyd of spent the money

barca are just making themselves out to be a set of lowlife scummy shitbags and i hope cesc now realises this..

  41. rico says:

That’s why i hope we sell him to be honest (and spend the money) This is the first transfer window of true speculatuion about cesc, trust me it will be the same now during every window until he leaves….

I’m still out on Theo, until he has been played up top …..

  42. K-TR7 says:

Fans from other clubs rate theo highly while we don’t…i find it weird.

  43. rico says:

Another thing about Theo, he just doesn’t suit the way we play right now, if we change our approach next season, which i happen to think we will, i think we have to if we want to win, maybe we will see a better theo….

i would hate to see him at another club scoring for fun….

  44. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

Fans from other clubs hardly know anything about football, do they? Then they wouldn’t be supporting other clubs, right? 😉

  45. JonJon says:

cos we see him play week in week out ktr and we know that other than pace he pretty much has bugger all.

fans and managers love a player with pace but they dont see enough of him to realise hes got nothing else with it..

  46. Erick says:

Theo wont be involved much in the Wc thats if he makes the squad he will mostly be a sub

  47. JonJon says:

theo would suit a team who defend deep and hit the long ball..

he’d do well in italy or somewhere like that but for arsenal we just dont play that way..he doent fit the system and hes not good enough to change the system just to suit him..

  48. rico says:

Hi jack, that was all spin from his agent Diaz, players support all manner of clubs when they are trying to scure their future… Chamakh says he has always supported us…..

I don’t believe the fella for one minute, he just wants to say the right things… 🙂

  49. JonJon says:

theo will be a sub at the WC..capello will rotate him and lennon but lennon will make the spot his own cos hes better than theo and theo will be sat on the bench most of the time..

    thats if he goes

  50. rico says:

    Thanks for the link VCC..

JJ, not suggesting we change just for him, we want to win and wenger needs to change the way we play as all teams have sussed us out, they know we can keep the ball for donkeys years but cant score….

wenger needs to be more like jose and play the style to be the oppo not just play poncy football regardless who we play against. if he does that i think theo and not only theo would benefit…

  51. JonJon says:

im off to take my dog for a run..shes sat crying with her legs crossed she wants to go out and do a few barcas so i’ll be back in a while..

  52. rico says:

Tell you what, i just think that theo will surprise you one day real soon….. and for the good.. 🙂

  53. Erick says:

    VCC 🙂 🙂 other fans don’t know nothing 😉

  54. Erick says:

If theos makes the squad it wont be on merit pure luck Swp and Lennon are far better

  55. K-TR7 says:

We will change our tactics next season:with chamakh arrival expect at least 2 upfront with a midfield diamond behind them.if we play 3 upfront then one forward(AA) will have to be more withdrawn in a free role supported by a midfield triangle.i hope i have not complicated it…

  56. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

I really hope Theo will get a break someday. Not that kinda break that Eduardo and Ramsey had, but the kinda break that happened to Song and Flamini. I’ve said it before and I can say it again. If Alexandre Song became the footballer he is today after being the kinda footballer he was a few years back, then ANYTHING can happen.

  57. rico says:

Erick, for once i disagree with you 😉 Theo is better than SWP and fitter than The Lemon, he will be on the plane 😉

  58. K-TR7 says:

Erick there is a reason Capello called theo englands best talent.hate him or love him when he is on the ball fans anticipate something special and am sure capello and aw must see something we don’t.i hope he surprises us rico…

  59. Erick says:

K-tr7 you lost me but am covered i got a map 🙂

  60. Victoria Concordia Crescit says:

Lo and behold! The allmighty monster created and brought to life by the magic of the Arseblogger…

I present to you the EBOUESAURUS REX:

  61. K-TR7 says:

SWP is a good footballer but he is to an extent overrated.for a 29 year old he should be more consistent.

  62. Erick says:

Rico Theo may be cute but his game is ugly Swp and the Lemon are mature have a great cross and good finishing while Theo is Theo

  63. Erick says:

    Vcc 🙂 🙂 nice pic

  64. K-TR7 says:

Erick i hope let me try to explain:with 2 upfront,a no.10 like AA plays just behind them.this system requires a pure dm (song) with two wide players(wingers) to form a diamond.if we play 3 upfront,aw said chamakh will not play as a winger and neither will rvp so i expect them to be a bit central with AA taking a more withdrawn role towards the left but behind the front two.behind the front 3 is an AM slightly to the right.due to the attacking nature this system requires two holding midfielders forming a triangle.i’ll be able to predict better according to how we act in the window but i hope that helps…

  65. rico says:

😆 Erick, i don’t think he’s cute, i just think there is a footballer inside his brain and legs desperate to come out – he just needs to stay fit and stop talking….

  66. rico says:

KTR7, we are of course hoping that Robin stays fit, i fully anticipate him getting crocked at the WC, maybe that why wenger is looking at this fella from wigan, albeit he isn’t good enough imho…

  67. Erick says:

Rico I will Confirm that from AGAG 😉 K-tr7 yap I understand but will the Double D boys be able to play with song they aint looking good but AA must work more in this free role but he is lazy but I like Chamaka he is a fighter thats what we need in this squad

  68. K-TR7 says:

Rico the main reason we have bought chamakh is to ease the physical battles for robin.i believe chamakh will play the lardy role of shielding the ball for robin.the less robin tussles with cbs the more likely he is to remain fit.robin and AA will have a focal point for our attacks in chamakh…

  69. K-TR7 says:

Ah same old rico…cute footballers drive her opinion on how they play their stuff.id bet you rico if i hadn’t seen villa id bet he was shit based on your opinion…what does ‘cute’ even mean?

  70. rico says:

You buggers, i am saying Theo is NOT cute (nice on the eye ktr7) – and i can’t believe what you have said about my view on footballers ktr7, i am deeply offended 😉 😉

  71. rico says:

So where does that leave Eduardo, Vela and Nikki KTR7 …?

  72. K-TR7 says:

Don’t worry rico…i value your opinion on footballers highly…

  73. K-TR7 says:

With two upfront rico vela, bendtner and eddy will play in their favourite positions more…

  74. rico says:

Just teasing KTR7, just teasing 😉

I can’t wait for Tuesday to be here, i am anticipating three/four players signed before the week is out and three/five players out during the same period

  75. K-TR7 says:

Good luck with that rico…or is there something you know that we don’t?

  76. rico says:

Pape Malickou Diakhaté – 6′ 1″ centre back who can also play on the left…..

And guess what, he has also played in goal for Senegal on many occassion – Wengers new Mr Utility player 🙂

  77. agirlagunner says:

Hello, all. Ganging up on rico, I see. 🙂

Catching up on the comments… Back in a bit.

  78. rico says:

    1 GK
    2 CH
    1 HM

    Simples KTR7 🙂

    Sol Campbell

    All to leave 🙂

  79. rico says:

Morning AGAG, they have been ganging up on me, all i am doing is defending Theo 😦 😉

  80. agirlagunner says:

I wish we played Merida more. I mean, he couldn’t have done worse than Denilson, and before his series of injuries, we played Denilson a lot.

rico, Theo is not the easiest person to defend is why! Haha. He just has to work on his close control, crossing and awareness. (I don’t require much of him, do I?)

Erick, what do I need to confirm?

  81. rico says:

Ha ha AGAG, i just know its in him somewhere, i’m hoping Capello and Becks can get it out of him in the summer 🙂

I am real sad about Merida too AGAG, all we had to do is play the fella, why when Diaby is having an off day didn’t wenger bring him on? or move dibay more central and take off denilson when he was shocking which to be fair was quite often….

I am sure he wanted to stay initially, he said so after the cup game against the dippers, but he obvioulsy wants to play games….. and now he will be with Jose Reyes 😦 😦

  82. agirlagunner says:

Hello, KTR7, if we buy VDV, where will you stick him in that formation?

  83. rico says:

You need to confirm that Theo is not cute ….

  84. K-TR7 says:

AGAG i have pinpointed two formations.in the diamond he would’ve to compete with AA or play him wide(typical aw).in the mf triangle he can play in tandem with AA at the tip of the triangle…what does ‘cute’ even mean?

  85. K-TR7 says:

Most modern formations are just modifications jj’s 4-4-2.i hope its clear…

  86. JonJon says:

    442 modified to 4231.

  87. JonJon says:

    or 424

  88. K-TR7 says:

It seems we are on the same wavelength jj…

  89. rico says:

For me, what is most important is playing the right players in their right position, Diaby is not a right sided midfield player, Denilson is not a HM/DM – AA is not a CF…… Theo is not a winger…. etc etc.

Where we go wrong is having a squad full of footballers rather than a squad full of players to cover every position (if that makes sense)

  90. rico says:

Got to pop off for an hour, back shortly…

  91. JonJon says:

    its simple..

the team lines up as a 442

the 2 central midfielders protect the defence and get box to box when they can

the widemen and the forwards all interchange and reak havoc

its how the invicibles played…no set formation but lined up 442

  92. JonJon says:

but our current CM’s arent good enough so our defence is exposed and we conceeed too many goals to win anything..no matter how many we score

  93. agirlagunner says:

    I like 442 or 4231.

Theo is cute. Cesc is cute. Merida is cute. Rambo is cute. Little Jack is cute. Cute is when you want to give them a hug! 🙂 Which means the Flapper and D twins are not cute.

  94. Erick says:

AGAG thanks Rico reckons Theo is ugly and his game is cute 🙂 K-tr7 and JJ am poor with formations hope I can learn from all you Mourinho’s 😉

  95. K-TR7 says:

Agag so thats what it means when ladies tell me that…

  96. JonJon says:

barca are cute..in a shitbag, piss stain, burst absess kind of way..

  97. K-TR7 says:

Don’t worry erick if only we could be aw’s assistants…

  98. Erick says:

K-tr7 ha ha ha ha ha funny I know you dazzle them ladies with formations and club histories 🙂 🙂

  99. agirlagunner says:

Another ladies’ man. 🙂 Now, you know KTR7.

I’m poor with formations, myself Erick. 😦 But the experts are here, we’ll learn yet. 🙂

jj, there’s one in Barca who remains cute and not in shit bag, piss stain, burst abscess kind of way. you, know, the one rico loves. (I never imagined I’d ever type shit bag, piss stain, burst abscess ever. But they’re apt enough references for Barca.)

  100. Erick says:

Agag anything with any kind of Math 🙂 🙂 am in trouble

  101. JonJon says:

    lol AGAG..

i think rico will see david villa in a different light now..hes slept with the enemy..hes damaged goods..

  102. K-TR7 says:

Erick am quite good at maths and alot of other stuff, infact my course involves alot of maths.if you think am all about formations, the ladies tend to disagree…

  103. K-TR7 says:

JJ rico is stubborn, she’ll do anything to get her man…

  104. Erick says:

What you studying K-tr7 Rocket science 😉 JJ anything associated with barca is infected

  105. Erick says:

Barca aint robbing a bank for Cesc 🙂 hope it means he is staying

  106. Erick says:

Come to think about it K-tr7 may be a formular 🙂 just a thought

  107. K-TR7 says:

Actually erick it engineering…it looks as if barca are skint, poor bastards!the spanish economy is crumbling while the stain are borrowing loans to buy players they don’t need…UNICEF should be ashamed of barca…

  108. JonJon says:

it was all a game erick

barca hoped they could unsettle him and get him on the cheap..they dont want him all that much they just doing it because of th presidential erections oops i mean elections and they have no intention of paying what hes worth cos they dont need him..

i feel for cesc in a way cos hes been lead down the path of nothingness and he’ll be feeling rather stupid right now

as long as he puts the performance in next season i’ll forgive him and the one good thing about it all is he may decide that barca arent worth the hassle..

theyve made him look stupid and he wont be happy about it..he might tell them to fuck off and he’ll finish his career where he is really loved and not used as a pawn to get votes

  109. JonJon says:

    lol ktr7

    barca are skint poor bastards..

  110. agirlagunner says:

Good for you, KTR7. I haaate Math too, Erick. Back at uni, I got 30/100 in my calculus midterms. Had to get a tutor after.

JJ, I don’t see AW sanctioning a transfer if Barca insist upon their peanuts valuation of Cesc. I hope Cesc can see now that they’re just toying with him.

  111. K-TR7 says:

Calculus is easy…i wish you had me as your tutor.it would’ve been fun.

  112. JonJon says:

i dont want to lose cesc..but no player is worth 80mil if that offer came in we’d be foolish to turn it down..

but 30mil is an insult not only to the club but to cesc..

    ibra cost about 60mil
    villa cost over 30

real gave manu 80mil for ronaldo cos they knew thats what it would take to get him..and they wanted him badly enough

if barca want cesc badly enough they will do the same.if not they are on a wind up..

  113. Erick says:

Election JJ ha ha ha ha 🙂 Engineer K-tr7 nice mate all the best on that front. AGAG you got yourself a tutor please stick to the Math no Social science 🙂 JJ Barca are broke and they can’t afford Cesc without sacrficing a good player

  114. K-TR7 says:

Ibra was closer to 70mil.they bought 28 year old villa for more than 30mil.cesc is our captain and talisman,he is a worldclass player, full spanish international and 23 years old.he has been a nominee for PFA player of the year twice and has won pfa young player.30mil is enough for milner in the current market not cesc…

  115. Erick says:

JJ ‘red nose’ said he would only play 60mil to get Ronaldo back so it aint worth it

  116. agirlagunner says:

You would have had no fun, KTR7,I assure you. None. Tutor threatened to quit if I didn’t stop daydreaming. Numbers are but circles and squiggles and lines to me.

Plus they bought Chygrynski (who he?) for 25 mil. 30 mil for Cesc is a slap in the face.

  117. Erick says:

Funnily Agag that Chygrynsk has not played a single game for Barca 25 mil yet 10 mil TV played almost all league game. Am sorry Agag i have to quote Jose they are just obsessed yet us keeping Cesc is a dream 😉

  118. K-TR7 says:

Agag we would’ve made it work…somehow…for laporta to imply cesc is worth 5mil more than chygrinski/ade is in itself a crime!

  119. rico says:

you guys talking studies makes me feel old 😦

whats all this about Villa being damaged…

  120. JonJon says:

    villas dirty rico..

a dirty piece of abcess dribble

  121. rico says:

he hasn’t done anything wrong though jj, i wish we could have nabbed him, cesc would have been very happy…

  122. rico says:

talking of dirty tho jj, have you seen the comment in spam, how sick is he/she….

  123. JonJon says:

hes joined the scummy shitpots rico..

    he qualifies by default

  124. rico says:

Footy rumour from a french guy….

Eduardo + 7m going to Lyon with Toulalan coming to Arsenal……

  125. JonJon says:

    that post was sick rico..

i read it and was about to do my geoff impression and shout at someone who wasnt even there 🙂

but then i read the bloggers name and felt utterly disgusted..

    what a prick

  126. rico says:

that’s what made me feel sick too jj, i spammed him the little sad git – makes me cringe, he cant be a gooner and he should be locked up!

i love the way geoff deals with the idiots 🙂 mind you, you and wath aren’t far behind these days 🙂

  127. JonJon says:

i wouldnt mind losing eddy but if we are moving back to a 442 with two main strikers then i think we should keep him..

  128. rico says:

i love reading the rumours, that guy in france says he know the lyon coach – mme, i bet he does (not)

martin o’neil is on his way back to celtic supposedly, he is angry over the ‘sale’ of milner so he’s off…

  129. JonJon says:

are you talking about the other night by any chance rico??

lol that bloke walked into the wrong room at the wrong time..

ktr didnt do bad either 😉

  130. rico says:

if eduardo asks to leave i would totally understand his reasons, it wouldn’t be because of anything other than self preservation, but i just want the old eduardo back – mind you, was the old eduardo ‘that’ good???

  131. JonJon says:

we have lots of players we could use as makeweights rico…

theres only about 4 -5 players in the 1st team id be bothered about losing..the rest arent good enough.

if it were up to me id use a few of them as makeweights and bring in some real dynamite players..

  132. rico says:

ah yes, ktr was darn good with alex and you and wath – i was also thinking of one day when the spud came on and commented…. he didn’t anticipate the response he got from wath… 🙂

the spud didn’t hang around for long 🙂

  133. rico says:

i understand where you are coming from, but you are forgetting one thing – the clubs that would want them wouldn’t have players we want – Bolton’s Cahill yes
Schwarzer from Fulham and thats about it…….

Imagine saying to Citeh, we’ll give you Denilson, Diaby and 10M for Steven Ireland, they would be laughing for the rest of the season 😉

  134. JonJon says:

lol wath doesnt seem the type to shirk a challenge..especially from a spud

i think if we move back to a 442 with 2 main strikers eddy will hit form again..

we have about 50 strikers but in the 433 apart from rvp and to some extent nikki..the rest struggle..

eddys a finisher but needs game time and needs to play in a central position with a partner..hes no good alone and hes no good out wide..

  135. JonJon says:

    lol rico..

yeah but if we said to bordeaux we’ll give you 10mil plus diaby they could settle for that..

or if we said to bayern we’ll give you 10mil plus eboue for lahm they could take that

  136. rico says:

good point, forgot about the overseas clubs/players… Diaby and Denilson would be much better off abroad, i wonder how we could get in touch with them and convince them….

  137. JonJon says:

denilson would do good in spain..doesnt like the physical battle has no pace but is technically very good..

hes not good enough for barca or real but somebody like valencia or sevilla might be interested..

we could offer 15mil plus denilson for david silva.. 😉

  138. rico says:

I wouldn’t mind At Madrid, £2M and Denilson for Reyes 🙂

  139. K-TR7 says:

Howdy again.don’t worry rico we the alphamales couldn’t allow alex the spud utter rubbish on our blog.he’ll never be back…

  140. rico says:

    bless ya ktr7 🙂

  141. K-TR7 says:

    What happened to mannone…

  142. agirlagunner says:

    No one about?

  143. K-TR7 says:

    Whats up agag…

  144. agirlagunner says:

KTR7, Mannone had a feature in our dotcom yesterday.

  145. rico says:

AGAG, its just a feature all the players are doing on their country at the WC, yesterday was Mannone’s Italy…

  146. rico says:

    Mannone on Italy
My Country – Mannone on Italy

You can keep tabs on all the Arsenal-related action when the 2010 World Cup kicks off on June 11.

And we’re warming up for this summer’s tournament with a brand-new series on Arsenal TV Online.

My Country gives you the chance to learn more about the nations represented by Arsenal stars – whether they will be taking part in South Africa or not.

Next up in this series is Italian goalkeeper Vito Mannone. He discusses:

    his country’s hero
    his country’s capital
the best sport – apart from football
    the best music
    his childhood
    his country’s most famous footballer
    its most successful football club
what he loves the most about Italy

  147. K-TR7 says:

Mannone looked fantastic when he played…

  148. rico says:

Just popped on to say night night to all, i’m off to catch up on the weeks soaps 🙂

See you all tomorrow, stay safe….

Two days to go and the window opens 🙂

  149. K-TR7 says:

Spain have just squeezed past saudi arabia 3-2…rico villa scored and looked fantastic…its a shame he has joined the enemy and is part of the stain…

  150. agirlagunner says:

rico, he answers Dante Alighieri as Italy’s hero. He cites a medieval poet. Awww…

  151. K-TR7 says:

Doesn’t the window open on july 1…

  152. agirlagunner says:

    Nite, rico.

    KTR7, how did Cesc do?

  153. rico says:

June 1st KTR7, and yes, shame about Villa 😦

Bless him indeed, he seems a nice chap, hope he makes it with us, i’d give him another go rather than flappy and the clown…

    Definately off now, nighty night….

  154. K-TR7 says:

Cesc didn’t play agag…kaka and melo were involved in a brawl in training.melo made a rash tackle on kaka who wasn’t impressed.melo had 15 yellows and 3 red cards last seasom by the way…

  155. agirlagunner says:

I hope Cesc’s ‘heavy legs’ get better.

Melo is a handful, isn’t he? I wonder how Wenger would’ve dealt with him if he were ours. A tense locker room does not a good World Cup make…

  156. K-TR7 says:

Melo is a fiery character agag.he doesn’t allow his teams to be bullied…id say vieraesque…
