Would you welcome him back?

Not for one minute am I suggesting that Arsene Wenger is thinking about this, but…….

Yesterday there were a few rumblings about Alex Hleb, the man who flirted with the big clubs to get a move, told the world he hated living in the big fast city of London where the noise was all too much. The same player then got what he wanted, he moved to a small club in the quite little city of Barcelona!!

Well well, forgive me if I am wrong, but isn’t Barcelona a tad busier and more noisy than London?

Of course it is, but he got the move he wanted, that being out the doors of Arsenal in the summer of 2008.

Did anyone know that Hlebs mother was a builder… Good girl I say, didn’t know though, anyway, I digress..

Following his big salary move, it didn’t take long for him to be dumped onto the Barca bench, I think he started only five games for his new club! Whilst he gathered many a splinter he confessed that the worse thing he did was to leave Arsenal.

This is what he said in July last year….

‘I regret my move from London, but unfortunately nothing can be done about it now.’

While Hleb feels he has been poorly treated by Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola, he showered praise on former manager Arsene Wenger.

‘For me, Wenger was like a father. I consider him one of the best managers in the world. For such a boss one wants to die on the pitch. Arsene managed to create a smashing team with a wonderful atmosphere inside of it. I have no doubts that if Arsenal had the same budget as Barcelona, the Gunners would be among the three best clubs on the planet.’

Are you reading Cesc Fabregas, the grass is not very often greener after Arsenal!!

On 29 July 2009, Hleb returned to his former club VfB Stuttgart on loan until June 30, 2010.

So that loan is now up and I wonder what will happen to Alyaksandr Pavlovich Hleb now, sure as heck he won’t go back to Barcelona and oust the likes of Messi & Co will he. He has hinted at a return to the Premier League, both Aston Villa and the money bags Mancs are keeping tabs on his situation so who knows.

Would you fans entertain seeing Hleb back at Arsenal after his antics against Murty, his rumoured whoring around in Milan over an ice-cream or would you rather see him rot on the bench at Barcelona??

Many want Flamini back, what about Hleb, at least he was with a team who beat the Mancs in the Champions League, albeit he was on the bench 🙂

I know my view, whats yours??

Finally and I think this is an interesting one, Ben Foster is due a medical at Birmingham today. (SSN’s) If this is true and Foster passes his medical then surely Birmingham will not require the services of Joe Hart next season. Hart is not going to sit around warming the Citeh bench having had a great season out on loan is he. My guess is he’s on the move, but where to? Is he going to move across Manchester and sign for Red Nose, or could he be moving further down south to us….

The Red Tops report this morning that Barca are due to make an official approach for Cesc Fabregas today. I know none of will be surprised at this, lets just hope that Arsenal have the balls to say ‘NO’..

Oh and did anyone know that we were in talks with Marouane Chamakh last night over a possible transfer? I was stunned when Sky Sports broke the news last night, didn’t see that one happening 🙂

Have a great day all, the sun is shining and we may just see our first summer transfer signed….

    Morning all

  2. Damn_Gallas says:

It would be best if barcelona sees hleb as surplus to their requirements and then include both hleb and yaya toure in a deal that would see fabregas swap arsenal for barcelona and both hleb and toure and 40 million pounds coming to arsenal.

But i doubt that would happen as wenger would have no balls to sell fabregas this summer.

  3. rico says:

Morning DG, If Cesc has to go then I hope its only for money, 60M plus we should be asking imho – then the club must spend that money to try and replace him. Yaya would be great addition but he isn’t cesc 😦

Hleb has made his own bed, may he lay in ….

  4. Yunusa okonkwo says:

I dont want him back he left us when we needed him most

  5. OM says:

Right backs never leave! 🙂 Check out the team that got away (not saying its the best or Wenger/Arsenal’s fault) Just a bit of fun and be nice if we kept a few old boys in the squad…..

    ————–Lehmann————-

    —?????—Upson—-Toure—Cole—

    —Hleb—Flamini—Diarra—Pires—

    ———-Henry——–Anelka———

  6. Chevatski says:

Age is not on his side anymore bt he use to av a gud link up play wit van.persie n fabregar. So we might consider re-signing him

  7. OM says:

Only person I would like (and trying to be realistic so no Messi or Kaka included here) if need to replace Cesc would either Gourcouff or Toulalan (sorry of spelling!)

  8. rico says:

    Yun, ditto…

    OM, Lauren??

  9. rico says:

Chev, he was good with link ups and he kept the ball well on his day, but……

I always thought Merida would be the player to eventually ‘replace’ cesc, but seems he’s gone too…

  10. rico says:

Barca have confirmed they are on the brink of signing David Villa….. I hope that’s all their money gone!!

  11. Aash says:

We have such a terribly weak squad i wouldn’t mind taking hleb back. I have a feeling cesc is going, wenger go get us Gorcouf and include yaya and one of their defenders as part of that deal

  12. rico says:

morning aash, i think its due to get going today, barca are going to make an official approach for cesc…

  13. C gander says:

if cesc goes project youth is over, but his the best player project youth has produced ‘the irony’. WENGER WONT SPEND FUCK ALL! I SALUTE THE BANNER BOYS AT FULHAM GAME LONG MAY OUR VOICES BE HEARD “RED ACTION” I HOPE WE CONTINUE IT AT EMIRATES CUP! If cesc goes it shows more than ANYTHING his faith in wenger has gone. ALL WE WANT IS THE ORIGINAL WENGER BACK.

  14. rico says:

Morning C, either that or Cesc knows AW isn’t going to renew his contract next summer…

i actually think its a season or two two early for cesc to go to barca, who is he going to replace??

  15. Udehsam says:

Hleb was class and still is. We need a guy who can pick a striker’s head with his eyes closed, a guy who can waltz past three defenders that you wonder if they were really there, whatz more? I’ll take a half fit A. Hleb anyday to a full fit theo walcot. They are classes apart. Hleb to arsenal will be great, but i can’t see it coming! He’s gone for real!!

  16. Rupe says:

“Barcelona is a tad busier and more noisy than London”.

    Are you serious?!

  17. Padre Pio says:

Barcelona is a village compared to London and Hleb makes a good village idiot.
He made me dizzy running around in circles and refusing to shoot. We dont need Barca rejects and we shouldnt sell Cesc

  18. chippy says:

Yep if we sell Cesc, Gazidis should grow some bollocks and tell Barca its 70mill or no deal lets see how much the wankpots want him then,

That money then has to be re invested into the squad as we are desperatley short none of that Ade and Toure bollocks where did that money go?

Personally id be majorly surprised if he was to be sold this summer as sections of the Fanbase are already fucked of and this will tip another whole bunch over the edge and things could get a little spicy, Wouldnt fancy being Gazidis or Wenger at the AGM !!

  19. rico says:

    morning to those just joined,

Rupe, please get the drift, Barca is not exactly a quiet city is it??

  20. rico says:

chippy, spot on, money or stick it!

Stick it being the most obvious…

  21. rico says:

Have to pop out for an hour, back shortly

  22. chippy says:

    rico,
I said stick it when i first heard about this but with careful consideration i can see certain benefits ie we are desperatley short in Key Areas ie a Goal Keeper, Centre Half, Centre Mid, Wingers and a Forward Now if we did bank 70 mill for his transfer that sort of money if invested would probably go along way to filling all those positions,

Weve also got two candidates that could fill that role in Arshavin and a certain young Englishmen that was on loan last season, Now id bite the bullet for that sort of sum and sell for the benefit of the collective, But it must be for that sort of amount as 30-40mill wouldnt do whats required,

  23. Q8Gooner says:

Morning all, to be honest I would like to see him back. He is an amazing player and would give Arshavin, Theo, and Nasri a reason to fight for a place in the starting XI!
BTW, was Chamakh really in London yesterday?

  24. JonJon says:

    Morning

I would like Hleb back, but one of the reasons he left was becuase he used to get kicked up in the air most games IMO, although his trickery was vital to the way we play and we do miss him he was a bit of a pansy

The only way I would accept Cescs departure is if
A-Wenger admits project youth is dead
    and
B- wenger gets as much as he can for him and puts it with the rest of the kitty and buys 4 or 5 world class players

If we sell cesc and replace him with Denilson and use the cash on another building then god help wenger

  25. helb is a poor mans sami

seems cesc deal is all bull with yaya agent saying 1/1000 with yaya and now it will be zlatan.

as for cesc flying back to london wenger isnt even in london so how he can have showdown talks with him

but the big news of the day has to be andrey is on his holiday in miami…

  26. rico says:

I see the logic there chippy, but will wenger spend the money, if he does then it may just turn out to be a good deal for all…

  27. rico says:

    Hi JJ, RSD

JJ, wenger will never admit he has been wrong, he too stubborn

i still honestly believe all this off to barca has been known for a while and thats why cesc has been coming back from injury too soon – i know you all think i am mad saying that…. 😉

  28. rico says:

    walkies time, laters

  29. kc says:

Turns out project youth shouldve been rightly named project nursery for other clubs. Or perhaps project cash fits better. Does Arsene even want to win trophies anymore, or just run a money making venture?

  30. rico says:

    anyone about?

  31. agirlagunner says:

Hola, Rico! I’m ambivalent on Hleb. On the one hand he plays really well with the strikers and Cesc. On the other hand, we may not even have Cesc next season.

    I could cry.

  32. rico says:

Afternoon AGAG, kind of trying to get my head round the cesc stuff, i just hope and pray doesn’t go yet
😦 there has been no cesc/club denial to the latest stories so ifear the worst…

as for Hleb, as much as we need experience surely there is better out there…

  33. rico says:

What a slow old day today…. What a long summer ahead.. 😦

  34. agirlagunner says:

I know, rico. Sniff. I have been expecting a strongly worded denial from the club myself. And it hasn’t come! I am bothered that Cesc needs to be “convinced” to stay though. He’s tied to us for the next four years. No sort of “persuasion” even needs to come into play!

As for Hleb, I was really put off by the way he exited, so I am not to chuffed about his return. I felt somewhat sorry for him when he started saying that he wished he never left. But I don’t feel sufficiently magnanimous to declare that I want him back.

  35. rico says:

agag – this makes me laugh…..

‘cesc fly’s to uk to tell wenger he wants to leave’

another headline – ‘cesc to head back to london when ash clears to hold talks with wenger’….

    another…
Arsene Wenger is on holiday and not in the UK…

could this all just be rubbish yet again….

Hleb, may he get splinters wherever he goes 😉

  36. agirlagunner says:

And this from The Guardian “…Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has told manager Arsene Wenger he wants to leave the club this summer and re-join Barcelona, according to reports…”

Part of the report says that apparently, Cesc PHONED AW 🙂 Haha. Sure. I hope AW quotes an unaffordable price for Cesc or names their starting eleven as part of an exchange package or simply tells Barcelona to bugger off.

How much more, rico, how much more of this garbage is to be foisted off on us??

lol re: Hleb. The Barcelona bench is not a fun place, Cesc, just ask your best friend. 🙂

  37. rico says:

Its going to be longer than a soap story agag 😦

  38. K-TR7 says:

Booom!cesc is worldclass but not irreplacable!infact he is part of the problem…

  39. the Balagué article http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/cesc-le-dice-wenger-va/dasftb/20100518dasdasftb_21/Tes

think there just getting excited about cesc saying “if i was going to leave arse it would be for barca” dont you hate barca election years.

  40. Coadsi says:

Hi guys, the off season is becoming just as painful. ah well if we sell Cesc (which i hope we don’t)
    1) we give Barca Denilson, Almunia and one other with him ( i would say Walcott but with the homegrown rules for next season + already losing Cesc)
    2) Ibrah CANNOT be a part of this deal.
    3) Wenger use ALL the money from this sale as well funds already there to to purchase new players

Le Boss would not admit it but like i said earlier project youth cannot be successful as in order to do this you have to keep all your players together. This is not possible today as gone are the days when a contract meant something.

  41. Coadsi says:

i just saw an error in my post in brackets regarding the sale of Cesc it should have read (which i hope we do NOT)
    apologies

  42. K-TR7 says:

A.hleb was my favourite player;i was devastated when he left…id welcome him back though…

  43. rico says:

    afternoon all

coadsi, i have changed your comment 🙂

a lot of this cesc stuff is old news, however, he usually comes out with a denial, he hasn’t yet 😦

  44. Erick says:

Howdy all Cesc aint god after all he will dissapoint us sooner or later Rico you got a headline for tomorrow 🙂

  45. JonJon says:

i think cesc does actually want to go this time…this story is gathering pace more than any other time cesc has been linked to them..its upto wenger what he does..

i dont see any reason for selling..wenger and the board have both said the financial restraints have been lifted so we dont need the cash

cesc is under a very good contract for the next 4 years if he does go its cos wenger has chickened out..

  46. rico says:

Hi Erick, i haven’t – have you got one 🙂

But you are right, we ‘coped’ after Paddy, we ‘coped’ after Henry and we won stuff with them….. if we sell and replace with experience it will take the edge of a very very sad day when cesc goes….

  47. he usually does when he’s with arsenal but seeing as he just about to join up with spain we might not here a direct response from him.

but i would have thought the club would deny the meeting but do they really have to as aw is on holiday

  48. rico says:

JJ, wenger has never stopped a player from moving i think, if cesc is honest, he will go….

spain is his home, do we really have a right to deprive him of his family and his boyhood club??

    yes i say 😉

  49. rico says:

Also, do we want a player to be at our club knowing he really doesn’t want to be here…..??

  50. Coadsi says:

    Thanx Rico,
Helb……….he can rot at Barca but yes would have him over the likes of Theo.

  51. Coadsi says:

i agree with that point Rico if he does not want to stay then all the best to him. makes no sense give these players more money as they will still be off the next season. get someone like Ozil plus 4 other world class player and we are in business

  52. rico says:

Smudger says aw has a tough job trying to get to stay now – but he says he is surprised a player with four years left on a contract is possibly moving on, but at least it will be sorted out soon and quickly…

  53. Erick says:

Aw is on holiday in spain 😉 i have a bad feeling about this Cesc stories. He (cesc) started them this time Rsd Laporta has just taken it from where he startedt

  54. JonJon says:

    anyone watching sky sports??

smudger is on he says the deal looks on and wenger is livid because he wants to know why cescs agent has been talking to barca when cesc is under contract for another 100 years..

its tapping up at its best and we should screw them for millions

grow somw balls wenger and tell them 60-70 mil or piss off

  55. rico says:

But Coadsi, if wenger wants him to stay, he has all the cards, just name the price for cesc – 100M and barca would back off…

  56. JonJon says:

cescs agent is DD son..he did the deal when henry stung us too..

    hes a 1st class c**tbag..

  57. Erick says:

The quicker this is over and done with the better 😦

  58. Erick says:

We are the Arsenal Come on

  59. K-TR7 says:

Cesc if its true should just leave;barca have plenty of mfs and i don’t think they need him but he will never be adored as he has been by our fans.song said he promised to stay but it seems thats not the case.his badge kissing was all but a fallacy.ibra was inters best player but when he was sold they REINVESTED and are on track for the treble.if cesc’s proceed are reinvested to go back to our initial policy of strong, athletic players with less tiki taka the adios cesc!…just know you’ll rip the heart out of many fans, players and AW…Mourinho said we need to go back to our winning formula and i agree.we changed our style to accomodate him and if he’s not there it flops.goodbye because i know you are leaving but it might turn out to be the turning point our club needs…

  60. Erick says:

Milk Barca as much as you can then get top class player in return anything is possible

  61. rico says:

just seen that one jj, doesn’t sound good does it 😦

cesc is worth as much as ronaldo, if not more…

jj, but then look at the chamakh fiasco, the bordox president is fuming about arsene…

  62. rico says:

KTR7, where is cesc going to fit in, who will he replace – my view is he will replace Hleb, and thats on the bench for a couple of seasons (or am i just trying to convince myself) give it a season, he’ll want to return ….. they always do!

  63. rico says:

jj, i have tweaked a comment as you went into spam, don’t know why as you were only telling the truth 😉

David Dein probably has something to do with it too then, and i thought he loved arsenal??

  64. JonJon says:

    fuck bordueax..

they got 13mil for an over rated wiltord and if they had any brains they would have tied chamakh down to a long term deal instead of letting him any where near his last year..

it happens in football..it happened to us with flamini and we cried about it but it was our fault in the first place.

the difference with cesc is that its 4 years…and theyve chased him for the last three…

    big difference

  65. Coadsi says:

Rico i dont know if wenger will ever have the cards due to how he operates. all he needs to do is tell Cesc i need u so ur staying put (and if he gives him attitude stick him the the reserves) & tell baca to take denilson in exchange for yaya.
But thats my point Rico wenger operates as if he is holding the blade.

  66. JonJon says:

    sorry rico..

of course i totally forgot but im upset right now..

why hasnt arse.com said anything yet???

  67. Coadsi says:

    * …. wenger will NEVER

  68. Erick says:

Just read this from a blog no my original work ‘Cesc has been good for Arsenal but the club has been great for him’ We believed in him and gave him the chance thats how we are repaid the best paid player at Arsenal my oh my okay life goes on but thank you Cesc

  69. JonJon says:

barca will push iniesta forward and cesc will fit right in

they wont fork out millions for the golden boy of barcalona and stick him on the bench

    cesc will play

  70. JonJon says:

    35mil??????????/

    are sky on smack????????

  71. JonJon says:

35 mil plus xavi and yaya then maybe..

but 35 mil wouldnt buy his right leg

  72. agirlagunner says:

Hello, all. I will be devastated if he leaves. I reckon most of us would be.

Off to the liquor cabinet. I really, really need some GG.

  73. K-TR7 says:

@jj evening.iniesta is no forward;he plays better in the middle.he is better than cesc so why would he make way for an inferior player?if iniesta, xavi and silva are fit at the wc he’ll be back to the bench in no time!

  74. Erick says:

    Whatever will be will be

  75. JonJon says:

    hi ktr7

i just cant see him being sat on the bench..they’ll fit him in somewhere

i suggested iniesta because on the few times ive watched barca ive seen iniesta in the wide forward role a couple of times..

  76. K-TR7 says:

RVP will be our new club captain soon enough.at least we are his dream club;guardiola tried to get him but chose to stay.if cesc is in no hurry to leave then make it easier and kick him out!he isn’t a legend for us anyway.just leave!…

  77. rico says:

JJ, I understand your feelings, you don’t need to be sorry 🙂

Coadsi, the trouble is with the board i think, if they just see pounds shillings and pence as they have over the last five years, they will take the money offered…

Anyone else starting to believe that the youth project has been forced and arsene has taken all the flack…. I wondered that a few seasons ago and now i am believing it more and more….

Ivan, if you want trophies, you don’t sell your best player who is under contact for another four years, grow some balls fella and tell them to stick it….

  78. K-TR7 says:

@jj iniesta is very poor there!he doesn’t even score/assist goals;if they make that move they’ll be toothless and will be much easier to defend against.if they buy villa and keep ibra then you’ll never see him there.

  79. rico says:

See you soon agag, it hasn’t happened yet, fingers crossed….

  80. JonJon says:

rvp is the typ of player who will stay at arsenal for life..

im not saying he wont ever leave but hes the type of guy who doesnt really have the same aspirations to play out of the PL..

  81. rico says:

KTR7, so why on earth would he want to move now, i wonder if its for personal reasons, his family maybe…

  82. rico says:

JJ, 35M is a piss take, 60M minimum, but price barca out i say… they cant afford Villa and Cesc, surely..

  83. Erick says:

If we sell Cesc the project youth will be total failure believe that Aw must be fuming where he is, he likes Cesc and wouldn’t want him to go

  84. JonJon says:

rico if cesc leaves then its upto wenger..

cesc is wengers biggest talent hes the only proof that project youth has worked..

if the board tell wenger he needs to sell after 5 years off paying off loans wenger should and will walk..

  85. rico says:

would you make rvp skipper if cesc goes jj, or tv?

  86. Erick says:

K-tr7 i saw iniesta play on the wings he is poor very poor he kept going down the middle

  87. JonJon says:

    the answer is trophies rico..

but your right price the fuckers out..and if they pay it then we can rebuild properly..

who the fuck are we gonna buy for 30mil who can do what cesc does..

thats if we dont pay for a few windows and door frames with it

  88. rico says:

i’m not sure i believe that though jj, isn’t ivan the man that sorts the final yes/no – as Erick says, if wenger says no that should be it, but i bet your bottom dollar the club will take the money –

wenger is just the poor bastard who has to feed the media the crap imho…

how does aman go from buying paddy to buying denilson…. because the tight fisted board told him to i think!

  89. JonJon says:

i dont really like forwards as skippers rico..

i prefer defenders or centre mids..

tv hasnt been here long enough though i feel but hes certainly a candidate..but wenger will prob choose robin

  90. rico says:

JJ, that is easy to answer, there isn’t anyone!

  91. rico says:

i prefer defenders myself, but tv doesn’t need the pressure, a gk is ok too, but looking at ours i would rather denilson!!

    bloody hell!!

  92. Coadsi says:

my only fear with RvP being captain is if history continue to repeat itself, that might signal him being off soon as well.

  93. JonJon says:

that would mean wenger was in on it and rewarded for it rico..

theres no manager in the world who would let the board have final say over the sales of his best players..unless he was comissioned..

which makes him just as much as a wanker as them..

  94. JonJon says:

    lol coadsi

yeah the captains curse of arsenal..usually means they are sold next season

  95. rico says:

hey jj, wa that you talking to wrighty :), so was i 🙂

someone there made a good point, Balague said the same thing last year…

  96. K-TR7 says:

RVP dreams of pushing us to glory.he is our BEST PLAYER no matter the opposition.he hasn’t ever flirted with those spanish/italian teams and said he wants to be the best in the world at arsenal!not anywhere else.rvp appreciates how we helped mould him to a man and nourished him into a wclass player.when we let henry go aw gave him the chance and you can see how much it means to him.we let VIERA the legend go for a fresh faced pup;we demoted the french vice-captain and gave a youngster the band,we changed our transfer policy for him,we changed the formation for him but he will always flirt with barca.we have made him a full spanish international but even if we won all trophies he’d want out.he is a fantastic talent but if he isn’t planning to spend his peak years with us then good riddance before the eventual loss becomes too much to bear…

  97. JonJon says:

    yeah twas me rico..

balagues a bit of a muppet and paid well to take advantage of these situations..

but theres no smoke without fire

  98. rico says:

F**k me, Sky are reporting the cesc story like he’s already gone!!

  99. JonJon says:

its really pissing me off now..

we all know cesc will go back so we might as well sell him now for mega bucks and rebuild the squad and end all this nonesense every window..

then we can let jacky have a chance and develop him..and jacky wont be using us as a stepping stone unlike cesc..we might as well develop someone who will stay at arsenal..

  100. rico says:

    spot on jj…..

  101. rico says:

    and we have ramsey 🙂

  102. JonJon says:

and something else we have in our favour is that barca proved last year money is no object

FFS they gave inter 40mil PLUS etoo..

    unbelievable..

cesc is worth double what ibra is so we sould say yeah of course but we want 60mil plus yaya..

if barca want cesc as much as they say they do then they’ll do it..if they dont then wenger can say to cesc they dont want you as much as they wanted ibra so forget about them..its just for publicity

  103. JonJon says:

How the hell can one club have villa, iniesta, xavi, fabregas(soon),alves, puyol, abidal, messi?…to be honest i don’t adore cesc as many of you do so it won’t hurt me as much.pires departure broke me down more than any ever(i wasn’t broken when henry left).he was a legend and i still have nightmares of the substitution board lighting up “7” infront of his whole family and friends.pires will be remembered as a legend but fabregas as a fantastic player.we may not win trophies but stevie G has never won a pl;he has been in numerous fifpro/uefa teams of the year but has never walked out on them.he has resisted offers from top clubs and he is the one of the finest mfs on earth.we may hate him but thats what a captain should be in a team;an inspiration and someone who shows love and commitment to the club irregardles of trophies.i sometimes envy the likes of utd who no matter what happens the likes of rio, terry, rooney, lamps…will never leave and can be relied on as foundations and in case of a transition it is easier for the clubs to adapt.we build our teams around goners who have dreams of joining real/barca hence why we always seem in transition.we have become a farm for talent where barca can always come for players and if we don’t stand firm they will always come for more ensuring that we don’t compete with them.barca know we are as close as anyone to matching them in terms of style of play and what do they do?they steal the centrepiece knocking us back a few years:henry, cesc…its sad…

if we get a decent price ktr and buy a few world class players it wont be much of a set back

but if wenger continues with this youth bollox and the money is spent on a few unknowns for 3 mil and the bulk of the transfer is pocketed by the board its back at square one..

  106. JonJon says:

one negative effect though is that cescs departure could lead to an exodus..

AA has wanted new signings the whole time hes been here and losing cesc isnt exactly what he would have wanted..he could hand in a request if cesc goes

good comment ktr7, it is sad 😦

  108. K-TR7 says:

@jj we need to stand firm about transfers!henry set a bad precedent if we keep losing our best players to teams we aspire to compete against.we should be like bayern who don’t allow themselves to be bullied since they are also a big club…

  109. rico says:

jj, i think wenger will go hell for leather with spending if the club let ces go, he will be mega cheesed off, cesc is like his son, something is going on that we clearly do not know about…

  110. rico says:

look on the flip side jj, AA likes to be top dog, he isn’t at arsenal, cesc is…. well, for most 😉

  111. K-TR7 says:

@rico aw’s ego will be crushed!cesc is like a son to him.if the board agree aw will be pissed off since cesc is the shining light in the dark tunnel…

  112. rico says:

and then wenger will be gone ktr7……

talking of which, so must i…..

catch you sometime tomorrow, up and out early for me tomorrow so will be a very late post 😦

Be good, stay safe, night all…..

  113. K-TR7 says:

@rico i preach about sacchi because he evolved footy alot but i know most of you know nothing about him.his philosophy was a 4-4-2 with everyone defending and attacking as a unit.he said makelele may a good defensive shield but he isn’t creative at all and hence a complement for him in form of zidane was needed for balance.when makelele left madrid have never gone past the last 16 in the cl.why?players who are specialists know too much about so little such that when they’re absent it is difficult to replace them.for proof look no further than utd:fletcher, carrick, park, hargreaves, gibson, scholes… can play in mf in many different combinations without upsetting the balance since they are comfortable in defence as in attack resulting in them dominating pl and them being in two successive cl finals.sacchi dominated europe.he said on the ball his team had 10 creators and 10 defenders off the ball.the introduction of specialists has had an adverse effect in footy especially developing of egos in star attacking players like dinho/cr9 who don’t bother tracking back costing their teams on various occasions…

  114. raif says:

i dont blame Cesc wanting to go,, sad news to hear but what do you expect when he has to watch his team get beaten buy the whiping boys of the league and having to hear his manger say 3rd place is greater then winning a cup,

  115. raif says:

JonJon, i was thinking the same thing. with Cesc leaving others will want to leave aswell..

and i know i read on AA’s website that Cesc told him (AA)that he would stay another year Bcos he wanted to play with him, so to me that says Cesc was thinking about leaving from end of last season,
