New beginnings, or the beginning of the end for Arsene?

Arsene Wenger’s contract is up around this time next year and many fans think this summer transfer window is at a do or die stage for the most successful manager in the history of our club.

Five seasons have gone by though now and not a trophy in sight, apart from the Champions League in 2006 and the Carling Cup 2008, we haven’t even made it into any final of  any competition, which for a club like ours is not good enough and its and not right.

Over those five seasons we have gone from watching players give their all for the team, winning games as if its our devine right to do so, to now watching a few of our players just ‘turn up’ play for how ever many minutes they are asked to and not batting an eyelid when their number comes up to be substituted.

Why don’t we see our players give the boss a filthy look when then come off as if to tell him he was wrong with his decision, wrong because the player wanted to stay on the pitch and fight until the final whistle?  Hell, some even rush to sit down on the bench quicker than they have run around during the game!!

Is it because they don’t care enough deep down about their own performance and just want to collect their pay cheque each week?

Why haven’t we got players anymore like Tony Adams and Martin Keown, just two who would have shed blood for their club and team-mates? Just count how many of this current crop play the same way for the club that pays them a very healthy wage each week, there won’t be too many!!

I don’t know the answers, but I do think the lack of grit and attitude has cost us dearly over the years. Injuries have played their part too, but as Robin van Persie said, maybe it showed that our squad is a little bit short!!. Spot On Robin, we are short in depth and strength.

As much as I dislike the likes of John Terry and Wayne Rooney, you don’t often see them ‘giving up’ before the game is over.

Not for one minute am I suggesting its about having too many overseas players either, afterall you didn’t see Paddy or Petit giving up did you? It’s all about the player, the man and what is important to him. Football and Arsenal must come first, after that the money and that kind of player is hard to find – but find that kind of player is what Arsene Wenger surely has to do now, add experience and winners to this squad making it more durable.

Arsene Wenger has made some wonderful signings for Arsenal, Paddy, Henry, Gilberto, Petit, Overmars, Anelka…. I could go on, but along the way he has made some pretty average ones too, – Diaby, Denilson, Jeffers, Wright, Almunia, Fabianski… Again, I could go on and I am sure someone will mention Walcott πŸ™‚

The old Arsene Wenger, you remember the one, the one none of us had really heard of. That man was one of the best signings for Arsenal, he got us used to winning again, he got us used to seeing the team hold trophies aloft again. I personally want to see that man back again. I  don’t even care if we stop seeing so much of this fancy football either as right now it no longer works. We have to stop all the passing now and again and have the balls to take a shot, Cesc has proved on more than one occasion that if you take a chance, you can score! We have the players who can take a shot, they need to be encouraged to take the risk every once in a while….

He’s done it before and I am sure he can do it again – If Wenger buys 2/3 players with some grit and steel this summer, it could very well be a new beginning, buy some young kid who has great potential and it could spell the beginning of the end for our boss and come the summer of 2011, Arsenal Football Club could well be looking for a new manager.

The club (Ivan Gazidis) have said we have money, don’t be too tight with it Arsene, for your own sake as well as ours…..

Make this a summer to remember, for all the right reasons….

  1. K-TR7 says: seems to me that AW has eyes only for flashy players:we have so many attacking players its unreal.even fergie questioned why we only seem interested in forwards but we don’t have players to make niggly fouls.say what you want about the fletchers, van bommels of this world but they balance out their also has good eyes for shot stoppers only since none of our goalies command their zones;we need one to charge through a crowd of players to claim the ball and not to get bullied like fabianski was at blackburn.

  2. Danish Gooner says:

He could off load a few and create himself a kitty of around 20 mil even before he started spending.

  3. rico says:

    Morning KTR7 and DG

There are a few kids he needs to offload too, I don’t know what kind of wage they earn, but the ones who have no chance of a future with us should be told and let go, its only fair to them to find themselves a club where they can settle…

  4. rico says:

KTR7, Thankfully AW has said our defence needs looking at, just hope by that he means bolstering it, not watching them on dvd πŸ˜‰

  5. emve says:

yeah, arsenal players don’t fight properly and give up too early, that’s why we never score late goals. oh…

  6. jeremy goldsmith says:

The problem is he believes in attacking soccer. The greater problem when you play this type of game, make sure you have a decent goalie and a defence that is not too obssessed with attack that in the big matches, they go awol allowing Drogba/the ugly bull dog and others to score.
Arsene said Messi was out of this world. However against Inter our spanish friend was shackled in both legs. That shows that tactically Arsene has lost it and needs to play anti soccer to win matches no matter how detestable it is.

  7. rico says:

morning emve and JG – good to see you both

emve, yes we have scored the odd late goal, but defensively we have also conceded a few too when to be honest it should never have happened, just look at the Wigan game?? Great defenders would not let that kind of thing happen…

    Spot on JG, good comment

  8. Steven says:

I’m about to say things that may spoil your day.I don’t mean to do this intentionally but the truth of the averageness of this current Arsenal team, as we have seen in the past, is one thing Wenger has not seen. Now to my ‘bitter truths’:

    (1) Wenger will not buy a new goal keeper and we’ll have to live with Al-comedy and Flapiaski next season;major and minor errors from these shameful duo will continue

    (2) Wenger will only buy an additional CB if Gallas leaves with Campbell and Djourou(who may not play more than half the season before returning to the treatment table;check his records); we’ll still find ourselves in the same conundrum as this season…

(3)The likes of Diaby, Denilson will continue to feature (and rile fans)in our midfield and little will change in their performance;no new personnel will be brought in…

    (4) Gunners, get used to seeing your team being trophyless ‘also-rans’ and ‘nearly-theres’ whose only trophies are seasonal CL qualifications as long as Wenger refuses to sell off the average and replace them with top quality players;as long as he continues to ‘praise’ mediocrity, permit consistent failure and excuse laziness among his ‘stars’!

(5)Wenger will not get his boys physically and tactically ready to withstand the rigours of the EPL teams and the same complaints will continue against Stoke City, Blackburn, Bolton, etc, for dodgy tactics and bullying…he will shout at the 4th officials, blast the opposing teams/players/coaches but go ‘blind’ over the sorry showings of Denilson, Diaby and co.

    (6) The team will again fail and falter when the likes of Fab4, RvP, Arshavin, Vermaelen get injured;which they likely will due to exhaustion from the WC and playing too much matches…

(7)With Wenger in place, little or nothing will change…sorry about it but this is the truth, the bitter truth…

  9. rico says:

Morning Steven, why would your comment spoil our day, we have all shared similar views here…

Do you speak as a Gooner or a follower of football?

  10. Erick says:

Morning all nice one Rico I have to agree with you this summer is a make or break for AW he can do us and certainely himself a favour by getting 4 experienced players and letting go of some especially the non-fighters

  11. rico says:

Morning Erick, that is exactly what is needed, it’s not rocket science is it, just don’t know why the club are fannying around – i don’t even mind if we don’t get a ‘Essien’ kind of player, a few TV kind of players would do πŸ˜‰

  12. forza forza says:

New beginnings, or the beginning of the end for Arsene?
    the latter

  13. W.A.T.H says:

    Mornin u lot…………. What a rubbish post…..!
Your far to polite Rico………….! The end is nigh….! Wenger has lost it…! We won’t buy jack shit we’ll listen to his twaddle about tea/squad getting older and wiser that dont mean better though does it and he’l continue to make money for the board til we get bought. As said all season he rewards losers…! That’s what he’s become…! No ambition happy with mediocrity

  14. rico says:

Morning forza, hope you have voted πŸ˜‰

Ah, The Mighty Sailor appears full of his usual charm πŸ™‚

  15. rico says:

WATH, how can you be so confident he will not make the signings? If he wants to extend his contact next summer, he has to make changes…

  16. W.A.T.H says:

Stop pussy footing around Rico and tell it like it is have you become all rose tinted the last few days with this feeling in ur water that cos you think he gonna buy all will be fine….? Til they on the pitch in red n white shirts we buying noone and Chmuck don’t count os he free so we not bought him we just signing him… typical wenger…!

  17. rico says:

Of cousre Chamakh counts, we still have to pay him, whats the difference with him and when we got Sol on a free, bet you didn’t moan then! ??

  18. rico says:

Rose tinted!! I don’t think so!!

  19. W.A.T.H says:

I did moan cos we needed Sol AND 3 others………! Lets see if he BUYS 3 others… Under 20 don’t count nor does over 30…. PROPER players men with experience not kiddies..! Rose tinted AW lover… your holiday in the fresh air has fuzzed your brain…..!.

  20. rico says:

So WATH, if you think things will stay the same in the summer, what do you want to happen, sack wenger, sack the board, have a takeover and plough money into buying players….

    Become like the chavs???

  21. rico says:

Read the post wath, is that not what I wrote!! Buy a kid and its the end….

I’m on about when we first got Sol, not the Sol we have now!

I’m far from an AW lover, I just want him to go get Paddy, Petit, Seaman and Chamakh, that would do me!!

  22. W.A.T.H says:

No way will the board sack Wenger Rico he makes them far to much money…!.

When we bought Sol first time we also bought that summer too or cant u remember that far back πŸ˜›

We won’t get anyone like Abramovich and I don’t want that we dont need that what we need is transparency from the board and honesty and why do we pay highest prices to watch our team on the planet then bollox about buying no big signings and staying within budget… Total crap…!

  23. W.A.T.H says:

What you need 2b saying is 5 years of bullshit lies and sub standard signings and we are going backwards…!

Wenger might have known before but he has sure as shit forgotten what it was he knew…!

  24. rico says:

Why, that is how you feel, not me, why don’t you write it πŸ˜‰

Why should the board tell us anything ??

  25. Q8Gooner says:

    Morning all, good post Rico.
Few questions regularly come to my mind, what would make this summer different than the previous ones? We are having the same problems for 5 years now and Wenger hasn’t done shit about it (injuries “and injury prone players”, inexperienced players, physically weak squad, etc).
Even a kid can tell what problems we have in our team, why can’t AW?
Why are the players not punished when they play like shit? Why don’t they get fined? Why are they still allowed to play lazy?
Why do we always have to see our team play the same tactics no matter what team we’re playing? Hasn’t AW heard of defense before?
Too many questions, and the only answer one can think of is that AW has lost it!

I hope he proves us wrong and do us a fav this summer!

  26. rico says:

    Morning Q8, thanks…

Thats just the point, we all see what is in front of us, why cant he.. Why does he persist with the two ‘D’s when they are sub standard week in week out…..

maybe you are right, he has lost it!

  27. W.A.T.H says:

The board should tell us cos we pay their bloody wages…. All they have done since we left Highbury is tell us lies………. We could of stayed there and watched Denilson Diaby the waiter and Flappy and paid half what we have to pay now..!

  28. rico says:

I think that if the board told us the truth they would have said, there is little/no money, we want to pay off our debt asap and in the meantime the football may suffer…

wenger has been on board by talking up the youth project which i dont believe he believes in for one minute, he has just taken all the crap away from the board!!

  29. rico says:

Got to pop off for an hour, catch up later

  30. W.A.T.H says:

The board said we moving to grow and compete with the biggest clubs in the world and to be able to buy the best players in the world, the debt was set for 25yrs and manageable and yet they are trying to pay it off in 5 yrs and the team has suffered badly why pay off the debt when it was easy to manage and would of left funds for the team OR has Mr stuborn used the stadium as an excuse NOT to buy players and NOT to spend money to try prove him project youth will work…? someone is still telling lies…!

  31. K-TR7 says:

@rico Arrigo sacchi a great student of footy and former milan coach said no matter which defenders you have if there is no prove it he played his first choice back four players and gk against 10 milan forwards with the likes of ancelotti, rijkaard… In a game for 15 minutes and the scoreline was nil nil.the defence needs to be in control of its zones for it to be tight and thats why i think gallas should leave no matter how good he is.we need a commanding cb like terry along vermy and you’ll see massive prove this we played a backline of flamini-kolo-sendy-eboue in our run to the final;individually our current backline is ahead but due to leadership of sendy we went till the final without conceding a single no aw but i would look at our defensive organisation first…

  32. W.A.T.H says:

We need a Keown or Bouldy or Adams to come be defensive coach K-TR7 but no way AW will allow that…!

  33. Tsokan says:

    Morning all.
First,i think its a new beginning.Arsene seem to be very unhappy with many of his players & is ready to add where needed.
    Second point.Its a question,why do u guys talk about Denilson,Diaby,Al & Fabianski without talking about Walcott?Cus he’s English?Den & Abou did far better than Walcott this season.Pls,stop being sentimental,all of u.

  34. W.A.T.H says:

You have a point Tsokan but Abou is shit end of…. He has no balls no nothing and when he needs to step up to the plate he is left wanting everytime. I also agree walcott has been very poor but i still think he needs to be played trough the middle as a striker if he is and then still crap I’ll be the fist one to hold up my hands and slag him off like the others…!

  35. rico says:

Hi Tsokan, I think if you check, Walcott name is up the re in the post too πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Big Tony has gone abroad somewhere to coach I read this morning 😦

  36. DelBoyEssex says:

Wenger has lost the plot just as Maggie Thatcher did! Absolute power has made him a legend in his own mind! I for one have gone through the Wenger years amazed at what he has achieved for Arsenal BUT now he should go! He is here as manager to win football matches, win trophies and put bums on seats, NOT manage our bank balance! Or pander to his favourites! He dumped Gilberto ages ago but he’s still good enough to captain Brazil but not good enough to be chosen ahead of Denilson for Arsenal. He gave Jens just a couple of mistakes before uncermoniously dumping him but the two twats we now have can fuck up all they like and he comes out with his usual propaganda in defence of the indefensible! Fuck me what a spin doctor Wenger is. It’s OUR club Wenger and it’s OUR money so respect that, best fuck off eh!

  37. W.A.T.H says:

    Rose tint…………. ur back πŸ˜›

  38. rico says:

I think Theo is a striker too, not a winger, said it for months, stop the poncy passing, play the ball a few times over the defence and let the whippet run onto the ball, as said, if he fluffs up then, show him the door, but its like judging Eboue as a LW, he isn’t so why did wenger play him there…. Its all beyond me sometimes…

  39. rico says:

πŸ˜† WATH, sun glasses off now πŸ™‚

Hi Del Boy, welcome to AR

  40. W.A.T.H says:

Nice 1 delboy well said and spot on….!

  41. K-TR7 says:

Sacchi also said that a team should not have specialists like dms when he was the madrid director of madrid in 04.he said that all 10 outfield players should be creative and all should DEFEND!to him it was all about organization and hardwork and he was successful…@rico i hope you caught my earlier post re:defense.Gazidis said the arsenal staff read our blogs, who knows rico maybe AW visits this site…they must know how the fans are feeling right now.

  42. DelBoyEssex says:

You had a dig at the crowd (PAYING FANS!) for only finding their voice when Adebayor came on but hey Wenger they didn’t have a great deal to be chuffed with after the previous ‘performances’ of your team, did they? And another thing, stop blaming your mediocrity on everything/body other than yourself Wenger! It’s your fault we have so many injuries we can’t cover with quality, it’s your fault if the team aren’t strong enough out there against the so called bully boys, it’s your fault the boys are a bunch of lazy cissy’s cos YOU keep on and on about their mental strength and their quality. Listen Wenger, if I had kept telling my sons how fucking good they were, even if they were not, they would have grown up to be twats like most of your β€˜kids’! You have your favourites and your methods and your beliefs but they are all badly flawed now! Manage the team not the bank or fuck off! I see the obvious months ago scenario that Gallas is giving you the run around now, you go to Paris to grovel to him, Sol can come back (thank fuck) but others would NEVER be allowed back in any role e.g. Martin Keown coached our makeshift defence into the real deal in the 2006 CL run-in but you soon fucked him off, why! Because you don’t want anyone else at the club achieving! You got rid of TH14 cos he was getting ‘dominant’. The likeable and legendary Pat Rice can stay for life cos he keeps his gob shut! But we need some inspiration – not YES MEN! Fuck me, someone needs to spell out to you the reality! You may be brilliant Wenger but you are also very stupid!

  43. DelBoyEssex says:

    Thanks W.A.T.H

  44. DelBoyEssex says:

    Hi Rico

  45. W.A.T.H says:

Think u’ll see delboy we have all agreed with the AW tes men he surrounds himself with and his stubborn attitude that has now gone beyond repair that meaning no way can he sell the dead wood or its proves he’s been wrong al along…! He was 3 players short of a truly awesome team now its prob 5…!

  46. K-TR7 says:

Gazidis said we have sought outside help regarding injuries;we are going to use a GPS system to monitor distance covered on the ground and it takes into account how long players are on their toes and when they are on their feet which shows fatigue and likelihood of muscular injuries.hope it works…

  47. rico says:

ktr7, i dont believe for one minute that gazidis reads any blogs, its just more bull coming out of the club…

Del boy, i was about to say, i haven’t said any of the sort, but then realised you were talking about wenger πŸ˜‰

  48. rico says:

wenger needs to stop sulking when we lose too, shake the opps gaffer by the hand, not huff off down the tunnel…!

  49. DelBoyEssex says:

You are right, it doesn’t bode well WATH, looks like we are stuck with Dr Evil paying his kids in the ‘reserves’ massive wages to buy McClaren Mercedes’.

It’s not that I don’t see the good he has done for Arsenal (that’s an understatement) but things have changed in the PL and we just keep treading water. It’s not even not winning trophies its just getting to hear the bullshit, like wer’e stupid!

  50. rico says:

    Make –

    Bould No2

Sol – player/defensive coach now as wenger has pissed off everyone else

Bergkamp – get him in ready to take over from wenger…..

  51. rico says:

If this Yaya Toure stuff has any substance and he is to be used as bait in a deal for Cesc Fabregas and 20M how would you guys feel???

  52. rico says:

Walcott is on the plane to the WC!!

I rate Capello as a manager, he has made England look good – Theo is in as a striker, at last a manager will play him in his rightful position, should be interesting!

  53. rico says:

    Zola has been sacked!!

  54. K-TR7 says:

    @rico NO DEAL!!!

  55. rico says:

    KTR7 – whats no deal ?? 😦

  56. rico says:

sorry KTR7, the Cesc swap 😳

  57. W.A.T.H says:

That’s the thing delboy its all the bullshit and the spin and not having the balls to tell us whats what…! mega deals 4 players who have failed how does that actually motivate anyone to get stuck in and win..? We so need 3/4 players with a bit of fight and ones who would spill blood 4 the shirt…!

  58. W.A.T.H says:

Rico…. Β£60million and throw in Messi and they can have Cesc…!

  59. Tsokan says:

@rico i dont know if i’m wrong,bt d last time Theo played in d middle for England U20s,he was sh*t.
Hey,i luv Theo.I’v spent some time defending him in some sites bt i dont think playing down d middle would change anytin. He can be sucessful in d wings if he just mix in up.Nt always going outside d defender. His pace is still very useful though.

  60. rico says:

WATH, so we do sing from the same sheet then πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

    As for Cesc… mmme….

  61. rico says:

Tsokan… I love Theo too, sometimes i think it gets in the way of the neutral view i should have as we went to the same school πŸ˜‰ But i think playing for us in the middle would be very different to playing in the England u21’s, i just think we should try him there before totally writing him off…

  62. rico says:

Wonder if AGAG is ok, haven’t seen her for a while..

  63. W.A.T.H says:

    AGAG went on hols……………

  64. rico says:

    Ah, i didn’t realise… lucky lady..

  65. W.A.T.H says:

Says the lady who just come back from a hol……. πŸ˜›

  66. avenell says:

    Afternoon all.

    Nice post rico el-positivo.. πŸ˜‰

What happened in the Q&A last night.. anyone know?

  67. rico says:

Three days in the cold wind…. hardly a holiday WATH, unlike some who are off to the sun…..! πŸ˜‰

Hi ave, we have money but we are not going to spend it πŸ™‚

  68. avenell says:

That’s why I said it may have been better if we lost the last game.. make Arsene a bit angry and make a few changes..

I still think we will see a bit more close season action than we did last year.

  69. rico says:

I don’t think it would have made a scrap of difference ave, as for losing a game, I never want the boys to lose 😦

  70. avenell says:

It was the diference between finishing third or third..

It would have just heaped a little bit of pressure on Arsene to buy in the Q&A season..

Just to prepare for next season.
I think we will see a keeper now, Fabianski is a broken man.

Chaka Khan will be the only attacking signing, I think Arsene is happy with RvP and Bendtner.

The midfield could see the most changes (I hope)

  71. rico says:

Stuff to get on with for a bit, catch up in a while….

  72. W.A.T.H says:

Afternoon Av, A hol it was Rico stop moanin πŸ™‚

    It’s winter where I am going…! So no sun…!

  73. avenell says:

    Where you going? Oz!

  74. W.A.T.H says:

Now why would I wanna go there Av..???? full of convicts.. lol πŸ™‚

  75. avenell says:

    and Kylie.. πŸ˜‰

  76. W.A.T.H says:

She ain’t there half the time mate………..

  77. K-TR7 says:

Wath the ladies are taking turns to go on holiday while we are drunk in frustration…and they say we have it easy!on theo,he sometimes looks like a worldbeater on the ball i hope he fulfills what aw sees in him since i have NEVER rated him…

  78. avenell says:

I’ll have to settle for Mrs Mangle then WATH..

Hi KTR7… I have had many a row trying to tell fans the way it is..

  79. JonJon says:

    evening all

i cant share the optomism rico..changes wont happen and i’ll tell you why

arsenes theory of including the wages in the transfer funds hamper him

in theory chamkakakakaka should be free…but in practice he aint..if we include his signing on fee and wages thats at least 10 mil off the transfer fee already…

add that to the fact weve given contract extentions to 17 players this season and you might as well say thats the whole transfer war chest gone…

the only way we will sign a few players is if wenger sells a few of the deadwood but he will not do this as it goes against his policy of project youth..hes practically admitting hes wrong which he never will..

to conclude..we might have a war chest of around 40mil…but its probably already gone…

weve probably got about 10mil left but he wont use it because whos he gonna get for that price including wages that will strengthen the team…hence arsenes famous expression ‘we couldnt find anybody better then what we have’ ..

  80. W.A.T.H says:

JJ welcome to the world of Arsene……………. excuses and spin….!

  81. JonJon says:

    hey wath

like i said yesterday..theres been nothing over the last 5 years to suggest wenger will pull out all the stops this summer..

we have no ambition..qualifying for cl is our main goal every year and wenger achieves it..

its not about the fans and hasnt been for years its about money now and wenger makes them maximum profits with minimum risk..

theres no point building my hopes up cos it wont happen..

like u say its all spin..i’ll believe it when i see it..

  82. Erick says:

Howdy Lads Sailor like your comment Rico being polite JJ how are things

  83. K-TR7 says:

Hi jj,whats up?i know you aren’t…its depressing to be an arsenal fan right now but our love for this club makes us have to bear it…luckily i have a worldcup to anticipate and analyze for our bloggers so jj & co don’t worry ive got your backs…

  84. JonJon says:

    howdy erick..things are good

does anyone know what gazidis said??

  85. Erick says:

Am fine JJ am also frustrated hope Aw can do something special for us we have waited 5 long years. K-TR7 the world cup will be a great distruction but when I see an Arsenal player I will go back to my sorry state

  86. avenell says:

He said we are putting GPS on the players so we know if they are on there heels or toes… and could you help him stick the clock back up..

  87. W.A.T.H says:

What gazidis said is all free to view on dot com JJ….!

  88. he said we wont be spending but made the talk all about wenger resigning

    evening all

  89. K-TR7 says:

@erick hopefully one of our players lifts it…it would boost the egos of our stars when they come back, hopefully not injured…

  90. JonJon says:

    hey ave/ktr/rsd..

ive tried to watch it wath but my laptop doesnt have the required something our other..

so basically it was the normal dribble???

  91. JonJon says:

i wonder if denilsons in the brazilian squad??

  92. haven’t been bothered to watch it but i scanned the transcript and it was dribble.

but we live in hope tho aint holding me breath aug 31st is along way away.

but if we dont sign anyone before the world cup i would have though it would be the lot.

  93. JonJon says:

i like transfer an arsenal fan its a good source of comedy..

im reading that italian sky sports are saying buffon is on is way to us..

that wins the award for giggle of the day..

  94. sendros made the swiss squad so anything possible

would be nice but i doubt it did you listen to the podcast?

counting up the keeping mistakes this year we could be have been champions.

  95. avenell says:

Denilson is still captain of the U11’s You would think they would have sussed him out by now..

Diaby was 24 today… I guess he’s not that young anymore.. (bruce)

  96. JonJon says:

thats my arguement with diaby ave..

hes too old to develop the basics of the game and a good team spirit..

hes the dogs bollox with the ball at his feet but hes too old to learn anything else..if he hasnt got it now he never will

    cheers for the link..

  97. avenell says:

We should have tried him as a striker when RvP and Pinkie were out… He just might have made it up there.

  98. JonJon says:

yeah hes more of a striker…he looks way out of his depth in the midfield..

  99. JonJon says:

    like most of our midfielders..

  100. Erick says:

Panther said you bloggers that talk about Denilson ruin his chance for A WC place πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ am beggining to believe him πŸ˜‰

  101. JonJon says:

theres alot of that interview that i agree with but some of it just makes me shake my head…

that part about the gk situation makes me cringe…i can believe it too cos it was only t’other day that bob wilson admitted he questioned arsenes gk techniques cos he made them train with the outfield and very little time was given to gk and gk coach one on one sessions..

wilson said he didnt agree with this method and practically admitted their was friction over it which is why he jacked it in..

  102. JonJon says:

the bloggers get blamed for everything erick..

but we cant be blamed for denilsons shitness..

im sure dunga knows a great midfielder when he sees one so i doubt very much he has to listen to our advice..

  103. avenell says:

Bob Wilson’s shit…. he got beat at his near post by Steve Heighway.. πŸ˜‰

  104. denilson got plenty of time to become average.

but didnt know dunga read this blog whats his ip address?

  105. JonJon says:

he did say though that the current gk’s are talented but have no presence..

without that you dont get respect and without respect you get targetted..

  106. JonJon says:

    lol rsd..

gazidis says he and his team reads the blogs..

i wonder if hes got a blog name and comments..who would he be???

  107. JonJon says:

    bbk πŸ˜‰

  108. avenell says:

    That would be a classic!

  109. rico says:

Evening peoples, why do folks think that i believe things could change??

I live in hope, but deep down i know that it will be the same old same old Arsenal show… Right until we are bought out and owned by an Arab or Russian….

Oh, and get a manager who is willing to spend….

Popped on to say nighty night… so nighty night all…

  110. JonJon says:

    hi rico

    bye rico.. πŸ˜‰

  111. Erick says:

I doubt if Dunga can read English πŸ™‚ I also looked at the Q and A Aw is teaching everyone how to avoid questions nyt all

  112. Erick says:

Rsd hope Mr spanner or Panther can elaborate on what he ment but he did make us laugh our belly’s off

  113. rico says:

JJ, I am engrossed in the Gordon Brown stuff, at least one man knows when he’s beaten, unlike our leader πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  114. rico says:

    Frank ave, πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

  116. avenell says:

I wish I had the cheque that heads through the letter box every month..

    09.. is that us?? cripes..

Sell 2 average and buy 1 proper if your reading Ivan.. Sell Senderous and Silvestre and buy Bramble.

  117. JonJon says:

    sendervestrebramble.. πŸ˜‰

brown pretty much had no option rico..

he was never voted in power in the first place and then he lost the election..

it would take an extreme amount of cheeky bastardness for him to even consider trying to stay in charge..

  118. avenell says:

Blair stitched him up like a kipper..

  119. JonJon says:
