Here come the boys……

At least the young ones showed the big boys how to end the season, a 3-0 away thrashing of Pompey ensure their season ended on a high. They didn’t get top spot like Bouldy’s boys but a great result and a good night for them by the coast.

The goals were special to by all accounts, Nacer Barazite scoring the sides second goal from 35 yards.Β  Since his return from injury Barazite has been scoring goals and getting good write ups, maybe he is one for next season…

The ladies are still going great guns and are looking to secure a league and cup double so all the best of luck to them.

Apparently, Wenger has had this to say about transfers, he says that several transfer deals are already in place –

Marouane Chamakh is a player that has constantly been linked with us, and there are rumours in the blog worldΒ that the Moroccan international has already agreed to join us next season.

And Wenger admits that Chamakh is already one of several transfer deals negotiated, all of which will be announced when the season ends.

Wenger added: “We will announce the deals after the league finishes. Chamakh is one of the players who has a good chance to join us.” Deals that is which suggests there is more than one πŸ˜‰

So I wonder who they will be….. Not long to wait if Arsene is telling us the truth.

Silvestre has suggested that we were lazy and complacent on Sunday, I have to agree but its a bit rich coming from him really having been guilty of being just that himself – anyway, I won’t go over old ground again!

Talking defenders, Big Sol wants to stay another year and I for one hope he does. Maybe he won’t play so much but we could sure as heck do with some of his passion and never say die attitude spread within the squad! Another rumour is that Djourou is injured, that’s re-injured before he even made his return!!

Anyway, short and sweet from me today I have a busyΒ day ahead…..

    Morning all,

sorry for the short rubbish old post, somethings never change eh πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  2. W.A.T.H says:

ur an old post did u say ????

    Mornin πŸ˜‰

  3. rico says:

Morning WATH, how you doing…. old post πŸ˜†

Dogs have gone to vet today, its horrid not having them around 😦 😦

  4. W.A.T.H says:

They getting “seen too”…? how many in total..?

    I am fine ta……… I think…. πŸ˜‰

  5. rico says:

we have two and both in 😦

Who do you reckon AW has sorted deals out with??

    Silvestre and Rosicky πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  6. Jekyll says:

The plural in ‘deals’ could refer to new deals for those already at the club. Just a thought, and history would suggest it.

  7. rico says:

Hi jekyll, i am sure you are right, annoying it will be though, we need more than chamakh….

  8. W.A.T.H says:

For me it’s sounds of the same old shit we get few every year just b4 the season ends…. We know who we want we will sign 3 players before mid June deals will be done early bla bla bla…. Actions speak louder than words and all we had for years is words hot air lies and bullshit…! put ya money where ya mouth is and spend on “Quality Experinced players” until that happens and they in an Arsenal shirt at a press conference I won’t believe a single thing that gets said.

  9. Rinseout says:

He could of course mean deals for players transferring out…

  10. JonJon says:

    hi guys

agree with wath..its probably aload dribble like it is every year..
but i expect him to spend it now hes said hes got it..

he said he can compete with chelsea so lets comepte.if i see denilson and diaby next year in our first team ill kick gunnersaurus in the nuts…..he always uses the excuse that he cant find nobody better that what he has..

if he cant find nobody better than those two hes losing his marbles..

  11. dont worry JD will be like a new signing and having rvp fit for the start of the season will be great. πŸ˜‰

least new kit is looking good shame that silvestre is modeling it does it mean he’s been given a new contract
    “deals” :-0
    http://bit.ly/9lpGUc

  12. Hugo says:

Be interesting to see what these deals are, it’s not unusual for Arsene to do business pre-summer tournament. I’m wondering about Lloris, Arsene said last week that he didn’t think he’d move this summer which suggests that might be one he’s tried/trying? Dunno, we can only speculate but I’d certainly be chuffed with that!

Also, reports last week that N’Zogbia and Rodellega have both already looked round the training ground and signed themselves up…wouldn’t say no to that either. Espescially after Sunday!

  13. rico says:

Hi peeps, i think its aload of old cods wollap to, won’t believe a thing about any new signings until it is confirmed!!

  14. i know i hate transfer windows
i wont bother refreshing f5ing all day and night

but do reakon the transcript of wenger said is wrong maybe it should be dealz and Nick Teale is just getting our hopes up.

  15. rico says:

    hi hugo, rsd…

    don’t get our hopes up i say….

  16. what do you think of the torres rumour or had you not heard

  17. rico says:

    what rumour rsd?

  18. torres gona be a gooner

  19. Sam says:

If Torres became a Gooner I’d eat my shirt!!

Not that I wouldn’t want him, just that it won’t happen. To muhc of an outlay and Wenger would not pay the wages!

Plus isn’t his injury record quite bad…..

  20. rico says:

    where did you hear that?

  21. rico says:

maybe that’s why he’s out for the rest of the season πŸ˜‰

would we pay that much ?

  22. rico says:

Lets hope you get to eat it sam πŸ™‚

  23. just uncomfirmed rumours or collective wishful thinking due to him wanting us to win the prem i guess is where it all stemed from

  24. rico says:

i suspect so rsd, probably rubbish 😦

  25. Sam says:

I’d happily tuck in Rico trust me!!

I really hope that Wenger does bring in some players if nothing else than to give some competition to the kids.

I like that Arsenal give young players a chance but I think that they maybe use it as a bit of an excuse when things don’t go well.

Competition will make them more hungry and out to prove themselves

  26. you see it when you believe it i guess

did you see our #1 have a stormer on sunday?
    http://bit.ly/aVDDzI

  27. Sam says:

Brilliant final save, this boy looks like the bees!!
    (sorry couldn’t resist)
Now all we need is a top quality keeper for now and then….I am afraid Almunia’s days are numbered!!!

  28. rico says:

πŸ˜† Sam, i dont think anyone minds youth, as long as there is the right balance, thats where we go wrong imho..

chesney – tip top keeper πŸ™‚

  29. Sam says:

Agreed experience is the key, now Wenger put your hand in your pocket. We all know you’ve got loads a money!!!

  30. agirlagunner says:

    Hello, everyone!

Did someone say… Torres? Gasps. He would be an inspired signing!

He is injured every other week. RvP is injured every other week. If they alternate being injured, then at any given time we would have a world-class striker to play alongside our captain fantastic.

I could get used to this idea.

  31. rico says:

Sam, he just needs some balls to go with his money πŸ˜‰

Hi agag, cracking funny comment re robin and torres πŸ˜†

  32. Sam says:

It is funny though how all has changed. Remember the days pre project youth when he would buy left right and centre without worry (because mostly they were great signings).

Is there an element that he choses youth becuase if it doesn’t work out there is always a ready made excuse???

    Probably a bit harsh…

  33. agirlagunner says:

Sam, I guess we are all still just smarting from those two back-to-back debacles. Sighs.

Wenger has to splash some cash, if anything is to come out of Project Youth. A few quality signings and not by way of those 15-year old “prodigies”. We already have enough of those.

  34. agirlagunner says:

Oh rico, you know me. Say “Torres” and I say “Me gusta.”

  35. rico says:

Since our move Sam its stopped, they have been saving and paying off the debt at the expense of results and trophies – my theory is that wenger says he believes in youth but is fibbing deep down, he knows the board won’t spend – the debts are now a lot less as far as i can make out and wenger – well, its now or never to spend and we can only hope he makes the right descision or he could be on his way…

  36. rico says:

agag πŸ˜† but if it cam down to Torres or David Villa who would you go for??

    I think I would choose Villa πŸ™‚

Football I am talking about of course πŸ˜‰

  37. Edmond Dantes says:

    Hi

On Sunday I think Nigel Winterburn was commentating on the Wigan v Arsenal match. Im not 100% sure if it was him. He does seem to be over-enthusiastic. Anyway what do you guys think of his commentary style?

  38. rico says:

I gotta go for a couple of hours folks, see you all a bit later…

  39. would say that rico we spent 25 mil last year

  40. agirlagunner says:

Rico, that’s like asking a kid to choose a parent in a custody battle. You’re tough.

  41. Edmond Dantes says:

Wenger has a great eye for striking good deals. All the board need do is back him. Back at Highbury he was making good signings and I think he had more to spend than now. Does anybody really think Wenger is stupid enough to turn down big money from the board? In the past he’s spent big on Reyes etc. so why would he all of a sudden stop? Its simply because his transfer kitty is smaller since the move to the Emirates.

  42. Suhail.TV says:

Hello every one.. After noon.. Wounds are healing, back to normal…

  43. since 04 ed we’ve pocket on average 4 mil a year on transfers alone

  44. Edmond Dantes says:

People down at “Le Emirates” blog would have you believe that Wenger is just too stubborn to spend. Silvestre’s signing was a really strange one. He doesnt even give players over 30 more than a one-year deal. So Wenger’s hands are tied by the board I reckon. Otherwise why would he go for Silvestre? It doesnt make sense at all?

  45. agirlagunner says:

RSD, I like the rumor that you mentioned. Does anyone know how long until we finish paying off the stadium?

  46. think the mortgage is till 2018 but think someone mentioned that we could pay it off by next year

  47. Edmond Dantes says:

Remember Davor Suker. His career was winding down when he came to Arsenal. I still liked him as an experienced player in the squad though. As for Silvestre, he’s a liability.

  48. Suhail.TV says:

Hola gunner girl.. Buenas noches.. But torres is better by both..

  49. agirlagunner says:

Hi, stv. Edmond, the Silvestre purchase still boggles the mind. I do suppose there is money, but I suspect AW doesn’t have as free an access to it as the top brass of Arsenal would have us believe.

  50. Edmond Dantes says:

What will happen if Arsenal gets a sole owner – like Kroenke or Usmanov? Will all the debt amounting from the take-over be piled onto the club? Will Arsenal then become like Pool or Manure?

That would be a major shame. Then the board’s/Wenger’s frugal transfer policy will have all been a waste. Would’nt it?

  51. we have the money but we cant afford the wages

  52. agirlagunner says:

I am, by the littlest bit more inclined to Torres myself, stv. While they both have good control of the ball, shoot from long-range, are skillful with tap-ins (ahem, Nikki B.); quickon their feet; Torres edges out Villa in terms of feistiness. On the other hand, Villa seems to suffer less injuries.

  53. utd debt is due to the buyout using the club as an asset for the loan. you would think stan and his mrs could do it
the russian i dont know but all will be revealed on the 1 st of may when shares drop ~2.5k

  54. Suhail.TV says:

True.. Edmont.. Five trophyless season only to make kroenkes thicker…

  55. Edmond Dantes says:

The fans are not asking for 30, 40 million pound players. Most anyway. But a reasonable level of investment in the squad is necessary. Making a profit on transfer activities does not interest the fans. Trophies do. There are other sources of revenue for Arsenal.

Why dont Arsenal do a lucrative overseas pre-season tour? Going to Austria has not helped us win anything in 5 years.

  56. Suhail.TV says:

AGAG torres seemed to be interested in arsenal.. We all know.. But do wenger?

  57. cos pre season is the a important thing and should not be fucked about with.

look how bad utd and liverpool have started in the past few seasons.

  58. agirlagunner says:

I don’t understand Wenger’s aversion to overseas pre-season tours. The mancs and the scousers had Asian tours last year. Plus it’s a good way to touch base with fans.

  59. we have the emirates cup

and can make packet on gate

  60. Suhail.TV says:

Making profit thru transfers is an ideal idea for wigan.. But should’t be ours. Make profit through trophies like barca do.people love it, players love it, and that’s what a big club does.

  61. agirlagunner says:

Stv, Wenger probably does not bother thinking about Torres since he\ll cost an arm and a leg.

    Fair point, rsd.

  62. Edmond Dantes says:

The EPL is global now. Arsenal better not miss the boat. At least in Africa, I think Arsenal is the #1 supported overseas team. I stand to be corrected on that though. But the money is in the US and Far East markets.

  63. Erick says:

    Hallo all hope its good

  64. Suhail.TV says:

Agag which is best club in plps. Can we request wenger to arrange a match with it.. and also here.. ha.

  65. Sam says:

Sorry been out of the loop for a while.

I agree I think a preseason tour would not hurt that much but I do like the Emirates Cup…however I wasn’t too excited by Rangers, PSG and Athletico….hardly top oposition!!

  66. Erick says:

True Ed am from Africa and on match days the Arsenal shirt with everyone from kids to folks

  67. Suhail.TV says:

Hi erick how do you do..

  68. Edmond Dantes says:

I got to go ppl. Will be back next time to talk all things Arsenal. I leave you with some last words to ponder. Here goes:

Theres only one Arsene Wenger, one Arsene Wenger…

  69. Suhail.TV says:

It’s been 5 season, this pre mature pre season talks..

  70. double double double Arsenal Ladies Reserves have won the double yey…

  71. Erick says:

STV am good how have you been nice to see you recovering from sunday

  72. agirlagunner says:

    Hi, Erick.

STV, There is virtually no football in the Philippines. If you google “Arsenal” “football” and “Philippines”, you’ll find a listing for a shirt or key chain or something on ebay. I tried it before. Pathetic.

Expats complain about it all the time. There is one bar in Makati where football fans congregate. Unfortunately, it’s for mancs. My friend tells me we should watch a game there sometime. But we’ll both be lynched for sure.

  73. agirlagunner says:

Erick, my sister’s at school in NY and says, she sees a lot of people in Arsenal kits too. Fantastic!

  74. but would you really want to watch a game with a supports club it a bit pony pack lunch at half time and all that

  75. Suhail.TV says:

That’s why grey gooses found bath tub for arsenal fans…hi hi.. As far as football here we are proud. We are 128 in fifa ranks. Ha..

  76. agirlagunner says:

The idea of watching the game at that pub has to do with fantasies of being the ones screaming “Goooooaaaaalllll!!!!” while the rest have their hands in their heads, rsd. I’m thinking Nasri. Two Goals. (seems sooooo long ago.)

I do believe we’d be thrown out of the premises.

  77. we have a supports club here but dont think i’ll ever make it down. rather stay with the like minded

  78. Erick says:

Hi AGAG its nice to see the kit am telling you guys here I know are loyal talk abt staying up late and paying tv subscription hope the lads can give them something to smile about

  79. Suhail.TV says:

Erick what you done after the wigan game.. Done as you said ? Canberry flavored things you took?

  80. Erick says:

The Sailor had Vodka for me STV but it couldn’t get past my throat 😦 so went for the milkshake

  81. Erick says:

Rsd have heard of it here but its all ties and suits so am sticking with the blogs

  82. i can believe it plus the price of watered down beer is joke an all

  83. Erick says:

True RSD the drinks go up when the game starts what a joke

  84. Suhail.TV says:

Erick, Agag can help you.. But she went for cappuccino on sunday.. Arsenal is not making you happy since about a month..

  85. agirlagunner says:

Stv, we’re probably ranked 180 or something. The way our team is playing right now, I’d need a pool-sized shot of GG.

It’s hard to be a football fan in basketball country. I know of one other Arsenal supporter.

Erick, I get excited when I see people in Arsenal kits, especially kids. Even at their tender age, it’s good to know they have their priorities right.

  86. Erick says:

Since the Brums loss STV we have not won a game Spuds and Mancs are on our tails we are fighting for the Champions league spot instead of the title AW must rethink his plans we need a better approach STV capuccino sounds great AGAG hook a brother up

  87. Erick says:

    Man citeh I meant

  88. Suhail.TV says:

Am off guys and girl.. Time to study..

  89. Erick says:

AGAG here i know we are ranked better than you guys we have a Kenyan national at Inter called Mariga another in France and majority are in sweden

  90. Erick says:

STV you got exams too am also held up with those when will next week end Cheers mate make sure you catch the CL tonight

  91. agirlagunner says:

Bye, STV. Don’t study too hard.

That’s good to hear Erick. Our sole claim to football fame comes by way of a certain Paulino Alcantara who played for FC Barcelona early in the century. He scored 357 goals in 357 games for the club. Amazing huh?

  92. rico says:

    What have i missed then….

Nite STV, and hello Erick πŸ™‚

  93. Erick says:

Wow amazing AGAG alot of goals Rico pet trouble how you doing?

  94. Erick says:

Any news if Song and AA will be available on saturday

  95. rico says:

Hi Erick, our two spaniels went in to be spayed today, they are now home and out cold 😦 😦

How are you doing, hope you’re not milkshaked out πŸ˜‰

  96. rico says:

i think they are both out for the last three games

  97. agirlagunner says:

They’ll be groggy for a bit, rico and are bound to knock into cabinets, table legs, etc. Had our dogs spayed last year, and it was a bit of an event. Then they’ll be disagreeable.

Still no Song and AA? Argh.

I am off. Nite, Erick and rico.

  98. rico says:

Night night agag, best i go move a few tables 😦 😦

  99. Erick says:

Thanks RSD so we are in trouble my oh my we need to beat Citeh its going to be another nail biting end of the season. Goodnite AGAG do take care

  100. Erick says:

Rico am going easy on the milkshake. Am concerned about going fifth guys the Mancs got to beat the spuds and we must atleast manage a draw against Citeh so irritating us chasing 3rd when we could have got it ages ago sad sad sad 😦

  101. rico says:

πŸ˜† Erick, a draw would be good, but we will beat Citeh – by hook or by crook πŸ˜‰

  102. Erick says:

Am not very sure Rico with the way we have been playing they will be all over us we just need two players back to help us cement 3rd spot the current lot are failing us

  103. rico says:

no Erick i am not, but i keeping everything crossed πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  104. rico says:

Peeps, I’m off for the night

catch you all tommorrow, stay safe and have a good evening

    nighty night πŸ™‚

  105. Erick says:

Rico Inter did what we could have easily done but we played their ball

  106. rico says:
