Sol’s in with a shout and Song ‘should’ be ok…

While talking about our little match tomorrow night, Arsene Wenger has hinted that Sol Campbell may start alongside Thomas Vemaelen in defence if he is fit able to get through ninety minutes, I say ninety minutes as I can’t see this game going into extra time, not the way we score in the dying sconds.

Sol playing could be good for us, his experience could be the key factor in keeping the defence focused and on their toes, especially Almunia who I hope has another great display in goal.

Just think though if we repeat our ‘late show’ tomorrow night, 0-0 with one minute to go in added time and Nikki pops up with a header – game set and match to us!

Right now I would happily take that, I bet most of us would.

Song tweaked his groin against Wolves on Saturday, but Wenger has said he should be ok for tomorrow. Arsene, I hope he’s more than ‘ok’, if he isn’t fully fit, he can’t start, we need 100% fit players to face Barca, look at what happened to Gallas, we cannot afford something like that to happen to Song.

Song has been one of our best players this season and to lose him for the next three or four weeks would be catastrophic!

Old favourite Petit has spoken about us, he says that Nasri will fill the hole left by Cesc and with ease, he  is one of few who thinks we could go through – good man Manu!

“Arsenal have nothing to lose,” Petit told BBC Sport ahead of Tuesday’s game. “If I was Arsene Wenger I’d tell them that they’re on the verge of history.

“Barca are champions and favourites and have everything to lose.”

That’s just it, we should play without fear tomorrow, we know we can score against them, we showed that. Barca have their own problems at the back, and that was before Puyol’s red card and further injuries. Barca also have a few injury problems in midfield and up front so hopefully their goal threat will be dented somewhat.

Hopefully KTR7 will give us more information tomorrow morning about how Barca could line up and where their threat will come from. Other than Messi of course 😉

We can do this, we can go to Spain and get one of the best results an English team as ever achieved and I just reckon we might…

Have a good day all, tomorrow will be stressful 🙂

Morning Erick, come on man, get a grip 🙂 😉

By STEVEN HOWARD – Chief sports writer for The Sun

ALL those who booked hotels in Madrid in the belief there would be an English club contesting the Champions League final are advised to cancel now.
In fact, it seems increasingly likely the Premier League will not even have a representative in the semi-finals for the first time since 2002-2003.

The English dominance in Europe is such there have been three semi-finalists in each of the last three seasons. And we have been involved in the final in each of the last five.

But with Arsenal requiring a miracle in Barcelona and Bayern Munich heavily favoured to dispose of a Manchester United side minus Wayne Rooney, the cupboard should be bare come Wednesday night.

That will confirm what we have known for some time.

While the title race may be one of the most exciting for years, the standard at the top is the poorest for as long as we can remember.

Should Chelsea become champions, as they ought to, they will do so with a team that has blown hot and cold all season and which compares unfavourably with the Jose Mourinho side that won back-to-back titles.

In 2004-2005, the Londoners were beaten only once. And though they suffered five defeats in the following campaign – the same as this season – two of those came in their final two games when the title was already won.

The club’s 2-1 victory over United on Saturday was thoroughly merited, despite their second goal by Didier Drogba being offside.

Then, again, it was clear Federico Macheda used either one or both of his hands to claim United’s lone response.

It was United’s seventh defeat of the season, more than any since they suffered nine in 2003-2004.

It is evident United are not the same side without Rooney. It should have been the day when Dimitar Berbatov stepped into the breach. Instead, all you could hear were the dispirited sighs of fans at Old Trafford and the sound of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy congratulating himself once again on winkling £31million out of United for the Bulgarian.

He lacks the mental toughness of both Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yes, he has a wonderful touch but he spends too much time lurking – or hiding – in the shadows and never makes the sort of punishing runs that damage defences.

Then there was that missed volley late on. Hands up those who believe it would have been converted by Rooney or Ronaldo.

Alex Ferguson has serious problems going into Wednesday’s return with a Bayern side who won 2-1 at leaders Schalke on Saturday to regain top spot. A side who will be reinforced by the return of Bastian Schweinsteiger and, maybe, even Arjen Robben.

And who does Ferguson turn to? In Rooney’s continued absence, there is no one to galvanise the side.

Should United opt to go for broke by playing both Antonio Valencia and Nani, they could be opened up like a can of sardines by Franck Ribery and Robben if the Dutchman is fit after a calf injury.

But if it is an uphill battle for United, Arsenal will be attempting to scale a glass wall in Barcelona without the experience of Cesc Fabregas, William Gallas and Andrey Arshavin.

Yes, Barca have lost both first-choice central defenders and are also minus injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But any repeat of the sort of irresistible football we all saw in the first half at the Emirates and you really fear for a patched-up Arsenal side.

  7. Suhail.TV says:

Hi Erick, good morning.. Relax boy., as long as Wenger is there we belive. He is a great motivator but a good human as well.

  8. Suhail.TV says:

Rico, what happened to alex song.

  9. would believe a thing he writes rico

morning all just a quick hi

    have to catch me flight

alves and yaya are a doubt

song had a possible groin put he’s had that for a while he on the plane

  10. rico says:

Mornin rsd, I don’t, just makes me laugh at the dross these papers print..

Suhail, he tweaked his groin on Saturday, but AW says he ok – the squad will be announced later today so we will know more..

  11. W.A.T.H says:

Morning, I take it your getting a little nervous Rico…relax it’s just a kick around in the park 2moro nite 😉

  12. rico says:

Morning wath, a little nervous, but i think we will win, barca had their chance and fluffed it 🙂

kick around with an old bit of leather, no big deal really 😉

  13. Suhail.TV says:

    lol..W.A.T.H good morning.

  14. Suhail.TV says:

If we can overcome barca, that mental boost’d be enough to win rest of pl matches.

  15. W.A.T.H says:

S.TV……….. We need to think of it as a kick around because they are there to be beat simple as that…! If we try and defend we will lose. Attack best form of defence and we need to defend from the front and put them on the back foot. Play the players that will cause them problems… Pace….!

  16. did you read that wazza might make wed

  17. Erick says:

I believe Suhail but the weight is too much am always an addict of Keeping the Faith. Morning RSD and Wath…

  18. W.A.T.H says:

Mornin Erick…………. no need to pray Erick what will be will be….! I just hope we don’t go in to defend and lay tight as that will play into thier hands…AW has to show intent and get stuck into them… if he doesnt it will show he scared and not the balls to beat em…!

  19. Erick says:

40% RSD but another setback would mean out for the season

  20. rico says:

wath, defend, does AW know what the word means 😉

  21. Suhail.TV says:

All arsenal fans in this world acquired with good mental strength Erick, wenger continues teaching lesson.

  22. rico says:

Red nose won’t risk Shrek, Robben has travelled, mancs are in for a tough time…

  23. Suhail.TV says:

No rico,.. Along with goal keeping.

  24. Erick says:

True Wath but am religious and a prayer always does wonder 🙂 🙂 RSD are we expecting any photos from camp nou

  25. Suhail.TV says:

The squeaky bum time not gonna good as usual. It’s take back time

  26. W.A.T.H says:

Ur right Rico AW doesnt kno how to defend BUT he does put on extra midfielders and defenders when trying to defend a lead and that just encourages the opposition to push onto us… Instead you put on a fresh striker and keep them occupied at the back then they can’t score can they…! It’s one of his negatives that he does alot…!

  27. Erick says:

When do the Mancs play Citeh?

  28. W.A.T.H says:

Ok Erick if thats your thing pray away my friend…!

  29. Erick says:

WATH it seems you have a possible starting line up 😉 do you mind sharing

  30. W.A.T.H says:

Erick I have a team I think AW will start with and i don’t like it one little bit cos I dont think its the way 2 beat them but we’ll see and no not sharing cos if u agree it will piss e off even more 😉

  31. Suhail.TV says:

After the blackburn game. Two tough away games sans rooney. Concerned more abt pensioners form.

  32. K-TR7 says:

Morning.Barca players are so overconfident;alves saying we have no chance while pique said we copied their style.they think every team that plays well had to have copied them.some barca fans are so arrogant its infuriating!as much as they outplayed us in the first leg they couldn’t match our stamina in 90 minutes.we have been to the sansiro, delle alpi, san siro, bernabeu…

  33. rico says:

Your right there wath, trouble is they all get in eachothers way and it has the opposite affect. Song in there with Nasri, leave Denilson on the bench, sat right by Diaby 😉

Morning KTR7, they are bordering on arrogant, they could be in for a bit of a shock. Alves words should be enough to get the motivation going!

  34. rico says:

Off for a little while, back after lunch..

  35. Erick says:

Suhail agree with you we should be more worried abt the pensioners. True Wath we should go for it if we can get an early goal that would rattle them defending is the Worse idea AW cld have hope he goes for it

  36. Suhail.TV says:

Morning KTR7. I think that’s a cheap trick to hide their pressure. We were playing the beautiful game times even when they were just creeping with thugs like nadal pep marques motta oleguer.. Its them in fact trying to imitate arsenal. They achieve success because they are lucky to have players like dinho messi… They are lucky not to handle pressure situation as often as arsenal, and when they do so they found arsenal superior.

  37. Erick says:

K-TR7 we have not only been written off but Rubbed off its all good 90min plus additional time will tell the story believe it

  38. Suhail.TV says:

    Any body there..

  39. Erick says:

    Yes I am Suhail

  40. Suhail.TV says:

    Erick

  41. W.A.T.H says:

Squad off to Barca….. No Song…..! Erick… best u pray extra hard..!

    Manuel Almunia
    Lukasz Fabianski
    Nicklas Bendtner
    Eduardo
    Abou Diaby
    Samir Nasri
    Denilson
    Fran Merida
    Theo Walcott
    Craig Eastmond
    Tomas Rosicky
    Armand Traore
    Emmanuel Eboue
    Gael Clichy
    Bacary Sagna
    Thomas Vermaelen
    Sol Campbell
    Mikael Silvestre

  42. rico says:

bloody heck, no song, we are in doo doo 😦

  43. Suhail.TV says:

Eastmount Traore silvertse fabianski merida… Basically a 13 man squad.

  44. rico says:

    My team would be

Play all of them together and see if anyone notices…. 🙂

  45. K-TR7 says:

What did we do to deserve injuries!…

  46. Suhail.TV says:

    Over patience

  47. W.A.T.H says:

Nor Vela… does that boy ever make 2 consecutive games…??/

  48. Suhail.TV says:

Is clichy fit, can not imagine silvertre or traore facing messi.

  49. W.A.T.H says:

S.TV………… Traore is my wild card I’d play him in front of Clichy think his pace will scare barca shitless…! Same with Theo or Ebooie on the right and then 70mins u bring on one for the other when the one that startd is knackered…!

  50. rico says:

wath, I would play Traore at some stage in the game too, like you say he has great pace. We saw what happened last week when Theo came on, it frightened barca and put them a little bit on the back foot, their defence is weak, get their arses out of the traps early and do to barca what they did to us in the first half…

  51. Suhail.TV says:

Can diaby play a defensive cm role if so traore diaby nasri could be a decent mid field.

  52. rico says:

    What is wrong with Vela??

  53. K-TR7 says:

    WOW…just WOW!that squad list doesn’t inspire confidence.

  54. W.A.T.H says:

Fuck……… Vela is such a petal……….! just when we needed a few to stand up n be counted he cant stand at all.

  55. rico says:

STV, Diaby was shocking against them last week, and imho he is too attacking, Denilson will be Songs replacement i suspect and Nasri Cesc’s.

Just know that AW will start with Diaby on the LM though, but i am hoping he doesn’t.

  56. Suhail.TV says:

Latin americans traditionally struggling on epl. Time is with him though.

  57. rico says:

    Is he injured?? again…

  58. rico says:

Everything seems against us with injuries this season KTR7, so when we win tomorrow and nick the league we can be very proud 🙂

Sadly though Wenger won’t buy any players if that were to happen as all our players who regain fitness will be ‘like new signings’ 😦

  59. Suhail.TV says:

Frankly, this team looks bit like a carling cup team an year ago. It’ll be a great moment if we over powered barca. It’ll be a land mark for the boys.

  60. W.A.T.H says:

If Vela was fit Rico why he not in the squad…? I just picked a team to win………. Not sure its what AW gonna pick though…!

  61. W.A.T.H says:

Thing is I aint AW and if I am so clever why aint i doing his job………… lol

  62. rico says:

I don’t get it, there is nothing on afc.com to suggest he is injured, wtf has he not travelled??

  63. rico says:

What would your team be then peeps…

  64. rico says:

wtf = ‘why the flip’ by the way 😉

  65. Suhail.TV says:

May be because of his similar style of play as eduardo’s. Eboue really becomes significant now.

  66. rico says:

Arsène Wenger had a “bad surprise” on Monday morning – Alex Song has been ruled out of the Champions League trip to Barcelona.

The Cameroon midfielder was substituted with 19 minutes remaining against Wolves on Saturday with a groin problem but his manager expected him to be OK for the Quarter-Final second leg at the Nou Camp. But Song’s injury is worse than first feared.

“It was a bad surprise this morning because he had a scan yesterday afternoon on his knee and he has an inflamed cartilage,” said Wenger before leaving for Spain. “We have to wait and see how bad it is but he is completely out for the squad for tomorrow’s game.”

Sol Campbell was Arsenal’s other doubt ahead of the second leg. The 35-year-old completed 90 minutes against Wolves but fatigue was always going to be a factor with two high-intensity games in just three days. Wenger will wait until matchday before deciding whether to pick Campbell.

“That is a decision I have to make after speaking to him tomorrow,” said the manager. “Today he was still not completely available although he managed to get a warm-up. To go into such a game you must be completely fit or not play at all.”

  67. rico says:

Looks likely that Sol won’t play either….

What a crap heading I used today, both parts are coming back to haunt…

  68. Suhail.TV says:

    What abt clichy rico

  69. K-TR7 says:

Song,rvp,cesc,AA,gallas,djorou,gibbs,ramsey,vela…5 players in the starting 11.whyyyy…

  70. rico says:

Can you imagine, Silvestre and TV at the back..!!!

I would seriously think about putting Sagna as CH and have Eboue at RB

    Almunia

    Eboue Sagna TV Clichy
    Rosicky Nasri Denilson Traore/Diaby
    Theo Nik

Sadly though I am beginning to think we may just see a 4-5-1 played tomorrow

  71. W.A.T.H says:

    Ah Rico………………….. it’s all YOUR fault….! 😛 😛 😛

  72. Suhail.TV says:

Rico i still hope you can make a cheerful headline wednesday.

  73. rico says:

    Clichy is fit STV

  74. rico says:

    You bad buggers 😉

STV, ‘Arsenal Rain In Spain’ 🙂

  75. rico says:

and the spelling is deliberate 😉

  76. Suhail.TV says:

    Which spelling ?

  77. rico says:

Rain STV, it should read ‘Reign’ 🙂

  78. rico says:

KTR7, i wish i knew the answer to that, something is a miss somewhere – i personally think that AW doesn’t rotate enough, and that takes us onto the fact that we don’t have a squad FULL of great to very good players..

If we were to list the first team squad, I wonder how many we would say are not good enough to face most epl sides??

  79. Suhail.TV says:

    A goal rain 3 3

  80. rico says:

That’ll do me STV, rather a 2-0 away win though 🙂

  81. rico says:

I take that back actually, the squad is good enough apart from Tweety – but most of them are injured and one of our best young players is at Bolton!!

Why didnt we call him back, he shone against the mancs and even in a 4-0 defeat… ggrrr

  82. Suhail.TV says:

Is alves and toore yaaayaa fit hope they’re not

  83. rico says:

KTR7, did you get my email the other day about wordpress??

  84. rico says:

    Barça and Arsenal injury woes

FC Barcelona and Arsenal have been preparing for the biggest game of their respective seasons with both knowing that they will kick off with a number of key players missing.

After the dramatic 2-2 draw last week in the Emirates the two clubs have played league matches before looking to their second encounter in Camp Nou on Tuesday evening. But there will be a number of stars unavailable as both the Blaugrana and the Gunners will not be able to call upon the services of several of their first-choice squad members.

    Injury list

For the home team striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be unable to add to his two goals in London after he suffered an injury in the warm-up before Barça’s match with Athletic Club de Bilbao on Saturday. Andrés Iniesta is still out of action, having already missing the first leg, while Carles Puyol and Gerard Piqué are both suspended. Piqué would not be able to play anyway because he suffered a knock in the game against Athletic.

    Defensive options

Pep Guardiola will have to shuffle his pack in order to cope with the absences of Piqué and Puyol in the centre of defence. Dmytro Chygrynskiy is ineligible to play in the Champions League. Gabriel Milito and Rafael Márquez are the first-choice replacements while Touré Yaya can also drop back from midfield to marshall the defence.

  85. rico says:

Looks like both are fit STV

  86. Suhail.TV says:

Am off rico, it’s been a short day. Will try to join later.

  87. rico says:

See you later STV, have a good day…

  88. Erick says:

STV am on my knees no Song ohhhhh noooooo

  89. W.A.T.H says:

I’ve just spoken to AW i tol him Rico put the mockers on the team so he suggested a headlin 2moro of Barca think it’s easy……… It prob will be…!

  90. agirlagunner says:

Hello, everyone. Just found out about Song. Oh god. We look to be fielding a side that’s half-Cup material. I need a stiff drink.

  91. W.A.T.H says:

Only one AGAG………….. Bottle needed more like…!

  92. agirlagunner says:

Hello, W.A.T.H. You’re right. I need a bathtub of vodka. Whhhhhhyy? And we’ve only got one Song too!

  93. rico says:

Afternoon agag, good to see you back here 🙂

    wath 😆

  94. W.A.T.H says:

Now we got no Song and will be quieter than ever….!.

A bathtub of vodka…… Now there’s an idea, that could prove rather attractive over getting pissed off watching the game…! wamr vodka gonna stink tho….!.

If Sol don’t play as well we’re really in the shit…! We don’t play 4 a week surely he can play and then rest a week……. Big tart…! 🙂

  95. agirlagunner says:

Hey, Rico. Good evening from my side of the planet! It’s almost midnight where I am, but I’m sure I’ll fret over this for a couple hours more. Argh. Which other Arsenal player wants to jump into this nightmare? The water’s still warm. Sniffs.

  96. W.A.T.H says:

Oh yippee now got 2 ladies to keep me occupied 😉

  97. W.A.T.H says:

    Where u AGAG..? Oz…?

  98. agirlagunner says:

Hey, W.A.T.H. Manila, Philippines. It’s sweltering here now. 35 degrees C. How’s the weather where you are? I still can’t get over losing Song. Sigh.

  99. rico says:

That’s my gripe about Sol, love him to bits but he can’t play two games in four days?? Silvestre is worse than him so we are doomed… What did you think about moving Sagna??

  100. W.A.T.H says:

    Rico……….. You can’t sing a Song with no Sol….!

    😉

  101. rico says:

What time will ko be for you agag, 3am??? 😦 😦

wath – is two enough for you ? 😆

  102. K-TR7 says:

    Rico-have you got my mail?

  103. rico says:

😆 wath, we won’t be, we have neither 😦

  104. W.A.T.H says:

Sol will play Rico it’s cock on the block time and we need players to put body n Sol, on the line pardon the pun….! We need his spirit……. He can rest tid yids away…! 8 whole days….!

Weather is rotten where I am AGAG… mind you 35 at night sounds pretty bad too…. unless ur in a bar that’s air-conned of course… ah….. heavenly..!

  105. W.A.T.H says:

2 should be ok for now Rico least I wont get bored…… 😉 well hopefully 😛

  106. rico says:

I have KTR7, just seen it thank you, looking forward to reading it too…

  107. rico says:

    ‘Cock on the block’ LMAO

If i was Sol I would want to play to, I would run and run until i could no longer – he wont get the chance to play this kind of game again in his life, i bloomin hope he plays – he is massive for us in more ways than one (so i’ve heard 😉 )

  108. W.A.T.H says:

I knew u would appreciate cock on the block cos I knew u had heard 😉 supposedly……….. so they say…. hearsay………. assumption….! etc etc 😛

If they warm him up proper a good pre-match massage he should last 90mins surely…. then he can go relax for 5 days….!

  109. agirlagunner says:

Rico, kick-off’s 3:30 am, if I’m not mistaken. Hahaha. Then an early meeting Wednesday. I’ll be in some mood if results are bad!!! (My optimism is such that, it’s always “if”)

wath, you’ll die without a/c here. Seriously. But the 35 was this afternoon, it’s maybe 31 outside now.

  110. rico says:

That is too hot for me to take agag, i would toast 😦

    Oi Oi wath 🙂 🙂

  111. W.A.T.H says:

Only 31 AGAG………. Hmmmm best we hit that air-con’d bar then….! Fancy watching at half 3 in the morning thats mad…. imagine winning and getting on the vodka…. hmmmm worst one I did was when in Dubai that was mad game ended 2am… very strange..!

  112. W.A.T.H says:

    It’s humid Rico you won’t toast………. u’ll just turn into a puddle 🙂

  113. rico says:

Air-con’d bar, count me in please 😛

    No Vodka though 😦

  114. agirlagunner says:

Haha, Rico. Have you been over? Beaches down South are fantastic.

Btw, I like your line-up. Although I am iffy about Traore. But now’s not the time to choosy I guess. We have nobody else to choose from.

The only bright thing about this day is F. Torres rooting for us. Sounds to me like he’s in the mood to lend us a helping hand/foot/head v. the Chavs. I quite like the idea.

  115. rico says:

I haven’t been over agag, but i bet its beautiful – i’m not good with flying and i think it would be a very long flight 😦 😦

wath, it would be a good way to lose a few pounds, then I could drink more 🙂 🙂 Water i mean…

  116. W.A.T.H says:

U on the wine the beer or the cider……… forgot u woz a country bumbkin 😛

I think Torres is saying I like Arsenal I hope they come buy me thats what he saying….!

  117. W.A.T.H says:

Funny how noone fancies Traore left midfield……. I think it’s the most logical option and keep balance in the side..!

  118. W.A.T.H says:

    Waiter
    Sagna Sol TV Clichy

    Diaby Denilson

    Ebooooie Traore
    Nasri

    Bendtner

Walcott and Rosicky to come on after 70 mins for Diaby, Ebooie or Traore who ever looks the most knackered…!

  119. rico says:

Snakebite WATH, come on now 😉 😉 Only jesting 😉

I like that idea about Torres, very much 🙂

  120. K-TR7 says:

Song is our best dm,his presence will be missed.to aid the defence we need to keep the ball better hence rosicky, nasri and denilson must play.

  121. rico says:

I do, i think he is a proper winger, he is too attack minded to be a LB – AW trys to fit square pegs into round holes too many times, play Traore in his proper position – we have nowt to lose tomorrow,

i say attack attack attack and at great pace, shake the barca boys up and put them off their stride…

    Not sure on Diaby wath….

  122. agirlagunner says:

Rico, I don’t really like flying either, but I’m an escapist so I keep at it. Ha. And airfare in SE Asia is unbelievably cheap.

Rico, it would be an excellent time for Eduardo to get a goal, right? Imagine the drama of that comeback. And it would be vey much in keeping with our Lazarus season.

wath, if that’s what he’s saying, then AW should listen. But he’s too expensive for us, I think.

  123. rico says:

😆 agag, i’m too old to get over it now, I’ll stick to the south coast in the UK 🙂

I would love dudu to score, he just needs one then i am sure his confidence will grow, what a time it would be, then he can go get a few more to help us win the league…

  124. rico says:

Re Torres, its looking very much like L’pool won’t be playing CL footie next season, Torres won’t be happy, rafa will get the sack and watch a few players leave. We should get Torres, Babel and Reina 🙂 🙂

  125. W.A.T.H says:

Torres would do me Rico and yes AGAG am sure we can afford him just go get him and stop being tight like we normally are…!. You from UK originally AGAG…!.

Diaby does offer us the height that Tomas doesnt so unless you play Tomas and Denilson as the 2 loding midfielders Nas if front of them and Ebooie and Tra sitting wide left n right bombing up n down…!

  126. rico says:

Diaby does give us height, he loves to score past Almunia 😉 😉

Suggested yesterday why not stick Diaby up top with Nik?? Could be interesting …

  127. W.A.T.H says:

I think that wastes Nas putting him in the more defensive role…?!?! Height is good 4 own goals and its a matter of weighing up who better in the tackle.. Diaby or Rosicky… in all honesty prob Tomas…! hard one 2 call…!

  128. agirlagunner says:

Dudu to score then. I think, I’ll cry if he does get that all-important first goal in god knows how long…

It’s nice to dream about getting Torres. 18 goals despite being injured probably half the season! Players really don’t get much better than that. I haven’t forgiven Babel for THAT dive.

Almunia, had better give the performance of his life… Do you tink by next year, we’d be seeing anything of Szcz… Czsz… err.. Chesney?

  129. rico says:

Denny will be the defensive man wath, nasri will be free to roam where he likes having such a big strong quality player by his side….. 😉

I thought Tomas had his best game this season on Saturday, he looks fit and mean, i would be tempted to start him. We do have a few options which is surprising considering how many we have out…

  130. W.A.T.H says:

AGAG…………. I dont think Dudu could score in a brothel at the moment….! He def won’t start IMO and its the bench at most for him…! I really like him but can’t play him on sentiment at the moment cos he just not producing..!

  131. W.A.T.H says:

Two holding in midfield Rico and Nas the link…. Tomas N Denilson…. Hmmm scary midfield hard men them 2 lol…….! 🙂

  132. rico says:

I know, its so sad isn’t it, especially when you look at who Barca have 😦

  133. agirlagunner says:

WATH, hahahahaha. Harsh. Indulge us our dreams for Dudu’s redemption. I don’t think he’ll start, but if we need to sub, and throw in some strikers (not that we have any other striker on board), he has to come in.

Rico, I am banking on Sami to orchestrate this concerto!

WATH, TR7 and Sami can be mean! Heck, even Cesc at Stoke had it in him to make a statement tackle on Pugh! I hope Clichy has a good game v. Messi. He was fantastic for us last time.

  134. rico says:

Needs more than Sami to orchestrate tomorrow agag, not quite sure its going to be a concerto, more like a sing song alaong with The Wurzels 😉 😉

  135. W.A.T.H says:

It could be a bit like the flying pickets having a sing along me thinks…………..!!

Nas does get stuck in AGAG but think we need him is a free roll to open barca up..! Tomas does get stuck ina nd if Clichy and Sagna got Eboooie and Tra in front giving them decent cover and getting forward it’ll give us a chance 4 sure…! Time 4 AW to really wind that team up… tell em we got no chance everyone writing us off noone think we good enough,, nothing to lose etc etc…………. mind games get em frothing…! 🙂

  136. rico says:

Ba da da da…… Ba da da da… I hated The Flying Pickets, my father (rip) loved them, I had to listen to a cd of theirs when i was a tad younger…. 😦

I tell you guys and gals (its great to have to write that now) we are going to shock the world of football tomorrow night….

  137. agirlagunner says:

    WATH, Manila born and bred.

Fair enough, Rico. Everyone has to step up. Eboue shouldn’t choke.

I take back what I said yesterday. After this Song tragedy, I’m all for a shootout now.

    Goodnight, everyone!

  138. rico says:

agag, eboue will star, he loves games like this…

get a good nights sleep, tomorrow you won’t…

see you back here before the game i hope? stay safe..

  139. agirlagunner says:

Be back tomorrow! Night. I have a 6:30 am appointment. Totally my idea, unfortunately.

I had to wiki The Flying Pickets. Hehe.

  140. rico says:

😆 agag, thats funny, see you tomorrow

  141. rico says:

I’m off too guys and gals, dinner to cook and stuff to do – may pop back later, if not see you all tomorrow for a ‘kick around in the park’

    Stay safe all….

  142. W.A.T.H says:

Ooops sorry I vanished and you 2 ladies now gone…. I’d of stuck the flying pickets in the bin let alone looked em up lol…! Sleep tite you 2, bad planning 6.30am meeting AGAG…!
