Tottenham Hotspur 0 Arsenal 10!

What a great result for the ladies, sticking ten goals passed their local rivals! The win takes them into their fifth consecutive final of the London FA Women’s Senior Cup. It was at Spurs as well, so no the win was even sweeter.
The goal scorers were: – Lander (3), Littlejohn (3), Bruton (2), Ludlow, Davison.

The Ladies were a bit rusty at the start having not played in over 3 weeks due to International games, but it didn’t take too long before they began to dictate and dominate the game.
Apparently, Tottenham started well and were good for the first twenty minutes (somethings never change then) but after that there was only ever going to be one winner! Arsenal’s class showed, and away they went, right for the jugular!

Arsenal led 3-0 at halftime and 10-0 at the final whistle. A hat trick from Lander & Littlejohn, a couple from Bruton, and goals from Ludlow and Davison finished off the game.

The Gunners will now play either Millwall Lionesses or Charlton Athletic in the final, which is scheduled to take place at Wingate & Finchley FC on Tuesday, March 23, kick-off 7.30 pm; I hope it’s on television to.

The ladies have a ‘Littlejohn, the men have a ‘little jack’

Well done ladies and good luck for the final.

Yesterday I made a school girl error, by thinking Stoke v The Chavs was a league game – thank you to all those who came on to Avenell Road just to point that is was in fact an FA Cup match. Shame you couldn’t stick around to chat about something worthwhile, it must be good to be perfect! To be honest though, we are not in the FA Cup and I don’t have a scooby doo who is, I don’t care either!

On to today, Arsene says we are lucky to have Denilson back!! Arsene, we are lucky when any player comes back from injury!!

We also have Arshavin back and Diaby is a maybe. Gallas, Sol and Vela are all ruled out through injury or fatigue and Song is out due to the yellow card he received against Stoke – not that it was a yellow card offence! I’m glad though, the next two league games we can probably survive without him so better now than later on in the run in.

It could be a mixed old bunch we see in red and white today, very old and the very young.

I read yesterday that this is our squad for today – please feel free to correct me if Arsene Wenger has told you different!

Arsenal from: Almunia, Clichy, Vermaelen, Silvestre, Sagna, Nasri, Denilson, Fabregas, Rosicky, Walcott, Bendtner, Fabianski, Arshavin, Eduardo, Traore, Diaby, Campbell (doubtful), Eboue, Bartley.
I’m surprised that Eastmond, Coquelin and Merida are missing from that list. I would have put Eastmond alongside Cesc for this game.

I think Arsene will go with:-

Eboue Silvestre Vermaelen Clichy
Cesc Denilson Diaby
Walcott Bendtner Arshavin/Nasri

Rosicky played mid week so will be kept for Tuesday, Sol won’t play either because of the same reason.
To be fair, which ever eleven players start from the squad they should be good enough to get all three points today. If we can’t beat a team that sits second from the bottom in the league and on our own green grass, then we don’t deserve to win the league do we?

That isn’t going to happen though, not today. Today we will not only win but we will boost our goals scored tally.

The post started with the ladies scoring ten against the Spuds; today it’s the men’s turn. I don’t think it will be ten, but I bet it’s not far off.

Confident? I know I am….

    Morning KTR7

  11. K-TR7 says:

Long time no see rico.whats new apart from you and your noisy cockrels?

  12. rico says:

Guys, I have to go out for an hour, back in a short while..

  13. rico says:

KTR7, nowt new really but the noisey cockrel is to be caught and returned to where it came from, thats why I have to pop out, wish me luck on catching the big bugger!! 😉

Hope all is good with you

  14. K-TR7 says:

I’ve been ill but now am better.Rooney is a talented lad but some aspects of his game such as close control, dribbling skills and x factor are not par to europe’s band of elite attacking players.but he uses the tools he has such as strength, movement and heading ability to the maximum which makes a case for less is more.Theo needs to learn to do the same and thats why when rvp and cesc play with theo he shines;they don’t play the ball to his feet but ahead of him for him to run onto.Ljunberg used his pace to perfection and i hope theo does learn to use his best weapon too.

  15. catch you guyys up for pre game
    family swim day

  16. rico says:

Sorry to hear that KTR7, but good to hear you are better..

Still wouldn’t mind Rooney up front for us though 😉

  18. rico says:

Its a bit quiet this morning….

  19. JonJon says:

    morning all

  20. K-TR7 says:

No rico i wouldn’t.i was just to make a point that theo does not have to be messi to be a great player.

  21. JonJon says:

so the ladies been showing everyone how its done…??

i think we’ll hit 3 or 4 today..i pray wenger doesnt start with theo though

  22. JonJon says:

a messi he will never be

but a thierry henry he will never be either

jusy cos hes fast and he wears 14 and hes 21 and hes coached by wenger dont mean anything and alot of fans cling to that hope..

    also cos hes english..

but theo needs to learn to do the basics first and if he aint learned that in 4 years how much more time yo wanna give him

  23. avenell says:

    Morning Ladies and Gents..

I just happened to look at the womans league tables last night and I was wondering why some teams have played just nine games and others have played sixteen.

Surely this isn’t good for womans football and they could get it together a bit better, although Arsenal would be miles ahead at least it wouldn’t give a false impression of how the league actually stands.

JJ.. Theo is averaging 2.33 goals a season so far..

  24. JonJon says:

thats a bad return…tells you everything really dont it ave..

we should just sell him this summer..before his price drops below what we paid for him..if it hasnt already

  25. avenell says:

Funnily enough I said that yesterday.. people are sussing him out now..

  26. JonJon says:

i think ppl sussed him out ages ago..

i seem to remember certain bloggers on here saying it over a year ago but nobody would listen to them.. 😉

thing is that if plays for england like he does for us whos going to want him???

which is why i dont want him to go south africa..he’ll just make a prat out of himslf like he did on wednesday..

  27. JonJon says:

did anyone also realise that one man utd go to wolves today without rooney?

could be interesing…if mcarthy dont field his youth team again

  28. avenell says:

I can remember getting a canning 2 years ago on another blog when I dared to say that Eboue was better on the right and fits in better with our wengerball system when Hleb and you know who was with us.

  29. avenell says:

Yeah the Wembley pitch has injured more players than Shawcross..

  30. JonJon says:

eboue is better on the right..its true

and thats says everything..when you’d rather see a wing back play instead of theo..

  31. digger says:

Have you been copying and pasting your squad from another source you naughty boy? Or is your homework lacking? As you have Bartley available for selection and I’m pretty sure that he’s with Sheff Utd at the moment.

  32. avenell says:

And this development buisness.. you can either play football or you can’t.
You have to have something there in the first place to develop.

  33. JonJon says:

    thats what annoys me most..

when we hear the hes only young stuff

hes been young 4 years..he was a do you go from being a wonderkid to needing 8 years to develop???????????????

and all this injury stuff?? whats all that injury doesnt make you forget how to pass a ball does it..

  34. JonJon says:

if hes young and he needs more gametime and he needs time to develop then whats he doing in the first team..???

the youth team is where he needs to be..

  35. avenell says:

He can’t pass because of his shoulder. 😉

I would rather we kept Francis Jeffers.. he never got the chances Theo did.. he was developing (still is)

  36. JonJon says:

id of rather we kept flamini..

dont know how theo earned 60k and flam didnt

same goes for cashley as well..

  37. K-TR7 says:

Theo will start today.I think eboue will start too.AA should begin to play like the EURO08 player.Bendy should continue his impressive tally, denilson and silvestre should have blinders, they are due anyway.Nasri is long overdue a goal.

  38. rico says:

Ah, the terrible twosome are one then 😉

Back to your earlier ave, I think its the cups fixtures and bad weather prevented some of the games, Also, Arsenal are in every competition still so often miss out on the league. Looks like they will romp ahead with the league once again..

  39. avenell says:

I have just had a look at Jeffers stats for England..

    16 games for the U21’s 13 goals..

one game one goal for the full squad, perhaps wenger wasn’t as mad as I thought when he paid £8 million for him.

  40. avenell says:

Did the Ladies have worse weather than the men then? 😉

It happens every year, I just think it would be taken more seriously if the WFA or whoever run it tightened this up.

Oh and rico, get on with your homework you naughty boy.. 😉 Bartley plays for Sheff UTD, just because he is named in the squad today doesn’t mean he is back at Arsenal lol..

  41. JonJon says:

jeffers was the dogs at everton..

but look at the strikers we had at the time when we signed him..he didnt stand a chance..then he got injured and became a lost soul..

  42. rico says:

welcome digger – read the post again it will answer your question, it also says feel free to correct me, it is simple, read it all before making such a sarky comment please…

  43. rico says:

ha ha ave, its not the weather, its the ground staff 😉

  44. avenell says:

Exactly, JJ. so why has the club decided that we had better than Jeffers, yet we persist with Theo. Surely it is obvious that the other players carry him.

What with all the injuries we have we could do without a passenger.

  45. rico says:

Same for Richard Wright, he was pretty darn good before we bought him, then look what happened…

  46. avenell says:

Goalkeepers are a funny breed though.. one mistake and the confidence seems to drain out of them. especially at a big club.

  47. JonJon says:

    well done digger..

dont know what we’d have done without you..i’ll sleep easy tonight

  48. Tsokan says:

I dont agree wit what u guys ar saying here, about Theo.his form is diabolical at d moment,no doubt bt he’s a good player dat we’ll need to win d league this year.his pace is 2nd to none in d squard & there ar day where we’ll hav to play long balls behind defences & he’ll be very useful there.
    NB-i’m nt English but Nigerian.
    Come on gunners.

  49. JonJon says:

wengers made some shocking signings over the years..

thats why it makes me laugh when certain fans think every single player arsene develops will become great..

yes hes developed some scuds but theres been plenty of duds along the way..and they’ll be more before wengers done..

  50. rico says:

😆 JJ, its good to sleep ….

    who’s good at setting up poll’s?? 😉

  51. avenell says:

He has a great record. but if you ask questions along the way you are a doomer.

They think that Pat Rice, Arsene and Primorac have a conversation like..

“he’s good he wears and Arsenal shirt”..
“yeah he’s great we can’t ever do better”
“he will come good one day, don’t matter if we win jack in the meantime”

  52. rico says:

Hi Tsokan – welcome to AR, I tend to lean in favour of Theo, but I don’t for how much longer, he needs to step up several gears yet to relly make an impact.

  53. avenell says:

    Welcome Tsokan..

Can you remember all the way back to 1998 when when we used to play long balls behind defences?
We need players who can wengerball, otherwise they are passengers.
Theo would be good for Bolton. They play counter attacking football.

  54. JonJon says:

    hi mate..

thing is long balls over defences dont work cos they opposition never play a high line against us..we always press so defences sit back…so theos pace is pretty much usless..

its pretty much useless anyway cos he cant do nothing with the ball when he got it..

pace aint enough on its own…its a game of football not a 100 metre sprint..

  55. Tsokan says:

I agree wit u,bt Theo is nt d only player who needs to improve.Nt many of us hav talked about Arshavin who has been abysmal to say the least, recently.if he had passed 2 theo when Theo ws free some time ago,who knows what dat would hav done to his confidence?if Arshavin had decided to pass d ball to his team mates, who knows where Arsenal will b at d moment?I hope Arshavin starts frm d bench today. At least Theo tries to play with his team mates.

  56. gnarleygeorge9 says:

This is a must win. Then again they are all must wins, chamoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

  57. avenell says:

AA has been playing with injuies and out of position.
Theo needs to earn the right to be passed to, if I was AA I would be selfish too, I don’t agree Theo tries to play with his team mates, he passes back to Sagna, then spins and runs to the touchline directly behind the full back.
This leaves Sagna with one option but to pass inside. Theo needs to find better positions where he can receive the ball, watch today if Theo plays, he does the same thing over and over.
AA has done more in one game than Theo has in three years.

  58. avenell says:

Alright Gnarley, How you doing mate?

  59. rico says:

    Hi george..

I think too many of our players have been played out of position, Theo, Nikki B, Eboue, Arshavin…

But that is because AW doesn’t seem to buy players to play in their rightful position..

Look at what is going on with Coquelin and Eastmond, both have been played at RB and both as DM… Whats that all about..

  60. JonJon says:

thing with arshavin is no matter how bad he plays defences still scared cos they know hes capable of ripping the back of the net to bits from 35 yards…

he can be having the wost game of his life and still win you the game with one touch

plus he has been playing with an injury and being played as a 5 foot 3 lone striker…

even when theo on form he still wont win you a match..

theos best game for arsenal was against sunderland the other week and he was still crap

but thats the best hes got to offer..use his pace but do nothing with it..defences arent scared of theo anymore…

nothing pretty about a play who can beat you in a footrace only to blast the ball into row z..or fall over.. or run it out of play..

  61. avenell says:

Theo is being played is out of position.. he should have stayed 75 miles due south..

  62. rico says:

What is Arshavin’s ‘true’ position, I have forgotten 😉

  63. K-TR7 says:

Tsokan-spot on mate.AA needs to earn his wages.AA at euros was the best player,he still lives off his reputation of the 4 goal haul at anfield. He refused to pass to theo against bolton,he was selfish on various occasions against the mancs,he really needs to start performing,if he wasn’t selfish against mancs who knows?we’d be top maybe.90%AA can rival anyone for best player and i hope he starts today and prove it.he whines alot and its annoying considering he doesn’t perform.i love the guy but if he performs from now till the end of the season i have no doubt we will win major honours.i wish he had rooney’s hunger and desire for success.

  64. rico says:

    Now now ave – 75 miles = Portsmouth 😉

  65. JonJon says:

ppl but theo in the same bracket as owen

but owen at 21 was tearing teams to bits and was PL top scorer..

whats theo done?? apart from the fact he cant play football on a shoulder injury??

  66. rico says:

KTR7, add to that the failings to pass to Nasri against Manure, taking three shots in the first twenty minutes and missing them all – I love the player too, but he does bug me sometimes..

  67. rico says:

Owen tearing defences to bits = Theo tearing his muscles to bits 😉

  68. rico says:

sky are just going to go over last weeks horror tackle, could be interesting…

  69. JonJon says:

AA’s played with an injury since before xmas but wenger hasnt rested him cos of the other injuries weve had

that shows all the hunger and desire you need from him..

he only got a rest cos nikki and dudu came back

this aint an injury he just got he had it most of season..

but unlike theo he can play through it and not spend 6 months off writing childrens books..

AA might be selfish bit thats what we want isnt it.. a player who likes to shoot and not pass in the 6 yad box

and why would you pass to theo anyway..

  70. rico says:

AW really rates Theo, so we have him for a long time

  71. JonJon says:

    lol ave

  72. rico says:

Anyone think SWP will be available in the summer? Things aren’t so rosey for him at Citeh…

  73. JonJon says:

AW rates theo cos he spent 12mil on him..he has to play him…

how do you justify paying 12mil for a player who needs to learn to play in the reserves for a bit first??

you keep playing him and hope that one day he turns into thierry…

  74. JonJon says:

id tke SWP all day long..

  75. rico says:

would you stick him back in the reserves or loan him out – selling is not an option 😉

  76. avenell says:

We would have been better buying Alonso or giving the extra wages to Flamini..

Where do you think Theo will be in 3 years time? I’d say doing the rounds oop norf like Bentley and Pennant before him..

  77. K-TR7 says:

AA is the most talented player in the league but let me ask you a question, imagine shrek having AA’s ability?his dip in form didn’t start when he was being played out of position,he has been pretty poor the whole season. At arsenal,he has a free role to hover anywhere across the final third.last season he played lmf which required more discipline and defending.A second striker role requires alot of stamina which AA lacks to play in the epl and thats why AW will NEVER play him there.Messi and cr9 prefer central roles but as AW said, good players can play anywhere,if AA is as good as his reputation he needs to prove it on the pitch starting today.

  78. rico says:

The sky panel are knocking him a bit, i’m surprised, they even think Theo and Beckham will go to the WC before him ??? Lennon is out, SWP would be my second choice..

  79. avenell says:

AA has been far better value for money than Nasri or Rosicky (although I like both) AA provides Arsenal with what they lacked last season a cutting edge.

  80. rico says:

I don’t agree ave, I think it will click for him before the end of the season as long as he stays fit. Then he will go to the WC and get crocked!!

three years time, he’ll still be with us…

  81. avenell says:

Why is Lennon out? I thought he was back in a few weeks..

  82. rico says:

We should go back to 4-4-2

Play Nik up top with Theo, or if he is on the bench, Arshavin – Little and large show..

  83. rico says:

Hasn’t he got to have an operation ave?

Seems like Joe Cole won’t be going to the WC either..

  84. JonJon says:

you can say the same for theo

class players can play anywhere so why does it make a difference whether he plays on the wing or up front?

why does he need 20 games to get going if hes so good?

why did wenger choose to play AA as a lone striker and rosicky and nasri as the widemen and bench theo when theo was perfectly fit is supposed to be more of a striker than AA??

  85. rico says:

KTR7, I think AA is over rated, sulky and selfish..

    I love him though…

  86. rico says:

JJ, I thought Theo was injured during that period too..

  87. JonJon says:

AA has been poor by his own standards but he still offers the team something that alot of the others dont..

he scares the living shit out of defenders…

expect the unexpected from AA…no other player offers that…

  88. K-TR7 says:

AA has been poor by his standards.Last season he was scoring and assisting left, right and centre,he showed us how talented he really is but jj you have to accept he has been poor.Nasri broke his leg in preseason and gives 100% everygame.Morzart had not played for 18 months prior to this season so its unfair to compare them to AA.Furthermore,a fully fit TR7 is magical and thats why AW is easing him in because he is vital to our pl and cl chances.

  89. JonJon says:

no rico theos been fit for ages…

this is the mistake ppl make when they say he needs fitness..hes been in the squad whether on the first 11 or on the bench for about 2 months..

    hes fully fit

  90. rico says:

Bless old Henry, he still call us, US 🙂

    Trophy drought

“I know it’s coming up to five years since we won a trophy,” Henry told The Times. “But don’t rule us out for the Premier League title this year.

“You can’t – when a team have proved they can get up off the floor after not one heavy blow to the chin but two, you have to take their chances seriously.

“Arsene Wenger’s players took two beatings in big matches – from Manchester United and then Chelsea – and still kept pace with those clubs at the top of the league.

“Now you look at our remaining programme, starting with Burnley at the Emirates, and you can see that the other members of the so-called big four are safely out of the way.

“With no disrespect to the rest, that has to be an advantage. So we’re very much in there fighting for the big prize. And there can be no doubt now that Arsene’s latest generation have the stomach for the fight.

“They have survived a lot this season, including injuries to Cesc Fabregas and, still, Robin van Persie. In fact, you could say that if Van Persie had stayed in the side, we might even be top now.”

  91. avenell says:

Lennon needs to rest for 6 weeks.. gives him a month nearly to prove himself.

I’d take SWP all day long.. then in this order, Cole, then Lennon, then Theo. then the entire popuation of England, then beckham.

  92. Tsokan says:

Against man u,we could hav been 2 goals up had AA passed 2 team mates.he doesnt defense & stands wen he losses d ball. Some people here in Nigeria thinks he’s been one of our best players dis season & i think they ar watching a different league.Look at van Persie,Fab,Verm .etc. See how commited they ar wen they play.Arshavin?no.Anyway,i dont hate him,i just want him 2 play wit his team & nt spend d whole time talking about how Chavs &mancs ar better.Theo has a lot to learn,bt he’s a useful player.

  93. rico says:

    I didn’t realise that JJ..

You watching Sky?? Tommo supporting AW ..

  94. avenell says:

If AA hadn’t scored 4 goals against Liverpool we would have lost 4-0.. it’s all if’s and buts.

When Henry says us he means the club that he robbed £10 million pounds from in his last season where he was fit for 10 games.

  95. JonJon says:

    i dont agree about nasri

he hasnt been great this season either and AA still offers more danger

    imagine your AA…

your 2 foot and a tab end, your being asked to play as a lone striker against 6 foot plus defenders in a 451 formation and your carrying an injury..

AA hasnt been on top form but hes basically been taken one for the team while injuries were taken there toll

its like asking cesc to play lone striker..cesc one of the best players in the league but you ask him to play on the wing or as a DM and you see if its the cesc we all know and love

  96. K-TR7 says:

Rico-AA is not overrated,he is magic. What good is it for AA to scare the crap out of defenders only?he should make them shit in their pants and take that advantage, but he really doesn’t take advantage of it.messi and cr9 take advantage, why doesn’t he?he has cutting edge i agree but it has been non-existent this season.he may win the game by one touch but the period we are in every touch is vital.he needs as many touches since he is likely to score or create a chance with every touch. We need to execute teams invincible style,in the first half hour the game should be over.

  97. JonJon says:

so are you blaming the man u defeat on AA???

i thought its cos we played crap and manure tore our defence to bits…

yeah we had chances..but if manure would have taken theres it would have finished 7-2

  98. avenell says:

Playing AA as striker has worked we have scored as many goals as the Chavs and Roonchester United.

Just because AA hasn’t scored he has worked tirelessly pulling defences out of position.

  99. rico says:

I think there are a few players who have lacked the cutting edge – Sagna, Clichy, AA, Nasri, Diaby (has improved) Nikki B….. Not even mentioning the keepers!!

But then look where we are still..

It seems when a ‘big player’ gets injured we lose focus, before RvP’s injury we would have beaten most sides..

  100. rico says:

So we all disgaree about Theo, Nasri, Arshavin – good

    ave, that’s harsh on Henry…

  101. avenell says:

But if we win 4-0 today we go top.. If some the players are under performing others must be over performing to make up for it.. TV Fab etc..

People are too critical of our players.. 😉

  102. JonJon says:

    put it this way…

if its 0-0 and we have a one on one with the gk in a cl final in the 93rd minute id rather it be AA than theo..

id rather it be AA than anyone if im honest

  103. rico says:

    Seen this??

Marouane Chamakh last night admitted he will face the biggest test of his career when he moves to England to join Arsenal.

Bordeaux striker Chamakh has agreed a five-year £50,000-a-week contract with Arsenal and will move to the Emirates this summer, as first revealed in Mirror Sport.

But Chamakh says it will not be easy for him to adapt to the Premier League and refused to talk specifically about Arsenal because he is focused on Bordeaux’s Champions League campaign.

Moroccan centre forward Chamakh said: “I have always wanted to play in the Premier League and any striker wants to meet that challenge and play in the league.

“I am prepared for a move even though I am completely focused on helping my current club. That is more important than my personal situation.

“It is not easy in England but the challenge in my career has always been to learn every day, keep improving and always help my club to success.”

  104. rico says:

JJ, I wouldn’t, I would rather it be Vermaelen 🙂

  105. JonJon says:

i have to agree with ave on henry

the mans a legend and i love him to bits but a pulled a fast one on us…

worse than flamini and adebayor put together

but you can live with it cos without him we wouldnt have won what we won

  106. rico says:

Yes ave, stop critising, leave Theo alone!!

  107. avenell says:

If we sign Chamakh.. where is the great Theo going to play???

  108. rico says:

You two are just ganging up on all of us 😉

  109. rico says:

Alongside him, sell Nik and Eduardo….

    Bring it on 😉

  110. avenell says:

    Europa league here we come..

  111. rico says:

Tommo reckons we weren’t silky football in the Paddy and Petit era, what a knob!!

  112. K-TR7 says:

RVP is a prime example of what AA should play.rvp is no cf but he worked hard and made the position his own,you can see it in his eyes that he would do anything for us to succeed, his celebration against mancity showed it.he doesn’t whinge in the press about chavs winning the league, who we should buy;he focuses on his own performances and is a very harsh critic of himself,he said he will never consider his tenure with us successful till he is named the world’s best player, thats the fire we want from AA.RVP,clichy,vermy,gallas,fab4,sagna and sol are the only players who give 100% on the pitch regardless of form, they don’t blame their failings on others but learn from them.clichy said hansen’s criticism motivated him,how would AA taken it?All players need to bleed red and white on the pitch!

  113. rico says:

Tiss is a knob too, he reckons Gallas’s tackle was worse than Shawcross’s…

  114. avenell says:

RvP would do anything except head a ball.. 😉

  115. rico says:

I knew you would bite ave, we need to keep them all…

  116. rico says:

KTR7, you won’t get any arguement from me about RvP, one of my favs..

  117. avenell says:

Nikki, Dudu, RvP, and Chammakh is plenty.. How will Theo get a game?
In fact is Chamakh going to replace Theo.. mmmm.

    Arthur Wenger may be dealing..

  118. chamkakakka is a squad player he wont even get in to the first team

  119. rico says:

Can’t say that ave, AW is playing Theo as a winger, also, no way will RvP and Eduardo go through a season without being crocked…

  120. avenell says:

    £50k a week isn’t squad players wages.

Theo long term is a striker, everyone says it even Arsene.. perhaps not for Arsenal though..

  121. rico says:

rsd, he wouldn’t bother coming to a team to be on the bench..

  122. rico says:

wish he would bloomin well play him there too, that is when we will see how good or bad he really is..

  123. rico says:

Theo i mean in my last..

  124. avenell says:

Vermaelen would be a better no 9.. scores more goals than Theo..

  125. they only reason he’s getting 50k a week is cos we didn’t have to pay for him so he does get any percentage of the transfer

  126. rico says:

you are like a dog with a bone ave, thats just your view, not all of us feel the same… 😉

  127. rico says:

Is it definate that he has signed?

  128. avenell says:

I got that wrong Vermaelen doesn’t score more than Theo.. they both have seven..
Vermaelen got to his total quicker though..

  129. rico says:

Stuff to get done before the game, so off for a bit..

ave, whats that link you use please, it went with my old laptop!

  130. rico says:

lol ave, you should be on that footie show… Its called..

    The Last Word!! 😉

  131. avenell says:

We will dig one out of here when the game starts..
I normally use a veetle (but you need to downlaod the software)

  132. Tsokan says:

@Avenell i luv this blog.keep d good work up.Rico,KTR7 and all ar such cool people 2 hav arround.Much luv.

  133. so what the odds you give me for theo to score today Dave

  134. I am i wrong to laugh at this?

  135. avenell says:

Tsokan.. cheers mate it’s good having you around too..

    RSD that’s a classic..

  138. i thought so too some one told me to get over it!

  139. avenell says:

Walcott is going to have the game of his life, I have been bigging him up all morning.

  140. i’ve seen

    * 21 Fabianski,
    * 03 Sagna,

  141. avenell says:

If the bench played the first team.. I think the bench would edge it.. 😉

  142. is sum squad we’ve got
shame it always the walking wounded

  143. JonJon says:

if theo cant turn it on today
    at home
    v burnley

then there really is no hope

  144. avenell says:

He’s a sly old fox is our Arsene.. he has assembled the squad before our very eyes.. When everyone is fit it is the best in the Prem.. and for a total cost of nothing..
    Sack Wenger!!

  145. avenell says:

He’s not fit, he’s developing, he’s played out of position, no one passes to him, he can’t play with Eboue, he has the wrong colour pants on.. Chubby the helicopter has crashed, the famous five have run out of ginger beer, I’m getting the excuses ready..

  146. rico says:

I’m back and can’t download the software 😦 Can’t believe that on a new laptop!!!

  147. rico says:

Why ave, Arshavin is on the bench 😉

  148. avenell says:

Find a media player one rico.. they work.. not as well sometimes..

Time I fired up the lappy and shoot the rapids..

  149. avenell says:

Saving AA for tuesday.. 20 minute run out..

  150. AW is being very careful with come backs

  151. copy and paste hey ave

  152. rico says:

ave, is veetle tv a safe one?

  153. avenell says:

    Iv’e had no problem rico..

  154. turn off your firewall rico
and then all i need is your creditcard number 😉

  155. rico says:

I can’t even get the media player channel, some silly message comes up saying cant find the file 😦

Guess its ATV commentary for me …

  156. unlucky couldn’t get it down

  157. theo’s been practicing

  158. they do like to play dont they

  159. rico says:

Nah, I dont really know what I am doing if i’m honest rsd…

  160. not enough strikers on the pitch theo keeps cutting it back but no one is making the runs

  161. JonJon says:

    jet scored
    simpson scored
    jack scored

  162. cesc 1-2 with eboue goes wide

  163. shame there all on loan

  164. rico says:

    get them all back JJ;)

  165. rico says:

All gone a bit tame now then…. Burnley coming into the game…

  166. avenell says:

What an atmosphere.. the supporters are really getting behind the team…. not.

  167. more chardonnay ave?

  168. has cesc got a twing

  169. avenell says:

I hope Cesc is not going off injured.. 😦

  170. JonJon says:

    my internets being a cowbag

cant get a stream so im patiently waiting for tommo to fillme in…

dont seem to be goin to plan though

  171. rico says:

NASTY COLLISION between Nasri and Jensen as the Arsenal man ran through onto Fabregas’ pass. Both men are still down and the physios are on

  172. rico says:

    Text from ATV online 😉

  173. he’s walking but looks inpain

  174. rico says:

JENSEN AND NASRI ARE BACK UP and we’re underway again

  175. sopcast you cant beat it uninterruptible HD

  176. rico says:

    Who has scored for us????

  177. cesc and nasri link goal

  178. avenell says:

Get in.. Theo.. er Fabbie.. lol

  179. nik just cant score today

  180. rico says:

    Cesc scored..

  181. avenell says:

You didn’t think Theo did really did you?.. 😉

  182. theo a man go on do him

  183. avenell says:

Nothing wrong with that tackle.. oh no cesc off. 😦

  184. the whirl wind is starting
interesting to see how nasro does now hes in the postion he wants

  185. avenell says:

Samir has been as good as anyone..

  186. proper defending by tv using his whole body to save the corner
    was that a hand?

  187. rico says:

Not for one minute ave 😉

  188. ht pretty average

  189. avenell says:

Your getting the hang of it.. lol..

Watch Theo later on footie first. ineffective. especially in tight situations he makes all the wrong runs..

  190. this drum of your is taking a beating today ave

he could have a few assists today if two strikers where on

  191. he really does lack confidence to take a shot tho
could have had a go a couple of times

  192. avenell says:

I just want him to prove me wrong.. but he doesn’t.

  193. must be all that positive energy your sending him

  194. avenell says:

Should have loaned him out and kept lil jack..

  195. Erick says:

JJ Walcot will never come good he has had a poooooooor B52 2 I cant believe we are 1 up million of chances

  196. we never play good in the first half

  197. rico says:

    From ATV

The general view in the press box is that Fabregas might have tweaked his hamstring making a run down the right, just before that overhit pass for Walcott. He was walking OK when he left the pitch so, whatever it is, it doesn’t seem too serious

  198. big jack really wasn’t get in in front of diaby & denilson nasri and sicky. he still has alot to learn going backwards thats why he’s at bolton to learn how to defend

  199. avenell says:

Was that the same injury Cesc had the other week?

  200. he really has been practicing walcott
poor nik is having one of those days

  201. rico says:

UNBELIEVABLE MISS FROM BENDTNER: Walcott curled in a pin-point cross and the Dane headed wide from six yards. He holds his head in his hands – that would have pretty much secured the points

How come Nikki B doesn’t get the stick 😉

  202. rico says:

i reckon he has done his bit and now resting for the porto game.

  203. should see the next one 3 yards out and get all the technique wrong over the bar
great work by theo too keep it in

  204. avenell says:

    Bollox.. Nugent..

  205. rico says:

    bollox 1-1,

  206. rico says:

    nikki could have sealed this!!

  207. yey aa warming up and he’s got a new chernobyl hair cut

  208. rico says:

    2-1 i think

  209. theoooooooooooooooooooooooo

  210. avenell says:

    THEOOOOOOO!!! I knew it.. 😉

  211. rico says:

    you teasing rsd 😉

  212. rico says:

    What a boy,

WONDERFUL STRIKE FROM WALCOTT! Theo is back! He cuts inside from the right and drills a left-footed shot into the bottom corner. Arsenal back in front!

Where is that old man ave 🙂

  213. super, super theo super….

  214. avenell says:

Another 0.33 goals and Theo is up to his season average..

  215. rico says:

    AA misses a sitter!!

  216. why aint he wearing those pink boots

  217. rico says:

    JET gets a second

  218. avenell says:

Nikki is helping keep Theo’s assists down.

  219. Erick says:

    B52 Jesus

  220. rico says:

BENDTNER MISSES AGAIN! Another flowing move, another fine Walcott cross and Bendtner side-foots wide from six yards. Dear oh dear. It just isn’t happening for him. Walcott would have two assists as well as a goal if Nicklas had his shooting boots on

  221. rico says:

MOTM could be Theo today then 😉

  222. has he moved bendtner to the right and theo in the middle?

  223. avenell says:

It’s not Burnleys left back he’s crap.

  224. fox is in me fantasy team

  225. rico says:

    we need a third!!

  226. sorry correction he’s rb

  227. rico says:

    4 yellow cards for burley!!

    none for us yet!

  228. rico says:

    Nik off Dudu on

  229. rico says:

Hopefully Dudu might nab a goal or two, he needs it

  230. rico says:

Another miss then, maybe Chamakh would get in our first team, the finishing today has been dreadful…

  231. rico says:

I have to book off now, got to go out straight after the final whistle, back a bit later…

  232. i would have dont better today
and we’re talking a full back with two left feet

  233. dont= done

clichy is haing another quality game

  234. why isn’t theo playing up front

  235. avenell says:

AA should have passed.. but instead..GGOOOAAAALL!!

  236. avenell says:

    Right.. come on the Wanderers..

  237. come on the super gold

  238. avenell says:

I loved Dooghan and Bull.. always have done.. 😉

  239. now your showing your age

  240. JonJon says:

i was tearing my hair out listening to tommo…

nikki so frustrating sometimes..gets him self in good positions but cant finish his dinner

if only we had a proper goalscorer..

nikki needs to go back to wearing his kinky boots again so he can dazzle defences penelope pitstop style..

we always do it the hard way..

  241. still a we won
and you have to love the standing ovation he got when he came off
    saving them all for tues

  242. penelope pitstop lol

  243. JonJon says:

    hes a good player..

good movement, very clever at reading the play…if only he good finish

id be more worried if he werent getting the chances to begin with but still wish he could hit the net sometimes..

so how did theo do besides the goal??

did he tear the mighty burnly apart??

  244. avenell says:

Nonroonhester Utd 0 Wolves 0.. so far so good..

The commentators are blaming the remember the state of OT when we played them in the cup a couple of years ago..

  245. avenell says:

He did well JJ, but the Burnley left back kept drifting inside.. he left theo to roam..

  246. JonJon says:

i hope rooneys fucked and out for season..

shut the lot of em sick of everyone going on about rooneywatch…

who gives a shit..hope he breaks his leg and then we’ll see how reckless the challenge was then and if the player who did it dont get vilified to shit..

  247. avenell says:

Wolves have had the two best chances.. and missed. 😦

  248. JonJon says:

i’ll settle for a draw here ave..

  249. avenell says:

The best bet would be a late WW goal.. don’t score too early.

  250. am only half watching it but wolves giving them a game

  251. jet was amazing today 2 an assist apparently
Big jacks goal was well taken but you would have to be bendtner to miss from there

  252. avenell says:

How the f*** has ferdinand made such a miraculous recovery?? I thought he was a WC doubtful.

  253. right im off down pub see you guys in the morning
oh good gary neville is coming

  254. avenell says:

    See ya later RSJ..

  255. rico says:

    Evening All

    Come on the Woolf’s

  256. rico says:

I hope Doyle scores the winner 🙂

  257. avenell says:

Fergies blood pressure is getting dangerously high.. lol..

  258. rico says:

Football First is showing the whole game tonight, what a lovely 94 minutes viewing on television 🙂

    Where you old gits gone…

  259. rico says:

Yo ave, sorry I didn’t see you there..

BOLLOX, jammy bastards, Woolfs should have scored earlier…

  260. avenell says:

    Bollox Scholes has just scored..

  261. avenell says:

It wasn’t a very good game rico.. frustrating misses from Bendtner. We might not have beat any other PL team today..

  262. rico says:

But I want to see how bad he was and see how good Theo was.

Being serious for one moment about Nikki and Theo, I understand why Theo gets so much slating, but so many fans rate Nik and I cant see why..

    Maybe it’s just Burnley thing..

  263. rico says:

    From Arsene :-

    On Cesc Fabregas’ injury…

“He has a hamstring problem and we don’t know how big the damage is yet because it is too early. We’ll see tomorrow or Monday. We have to make a late decision over whether he plays on Tuesday, certainly. It is the same hamstring [he hurt against Aston Villa earlier in the season].”

  264. avenell says:

Nikki has scored 2 goals in three games.. okay he missed some sitters today, but his head never drops and he carries on trying and creates chances.
    Theo just goes missing.

  265. rico says:

    More from the boss…

    On Walcott’s display…
“I think he does what a player has to do – not talk in the newspapers and let your performance talk on the pitch. He didn’t answer any critics other than with a good performance today and that’s what you want from a player. That shows he is mentally strong. I was interested to see how he would respond today. I was quite sure he would respond with a good performance but you never know, it affects you when you get criticised. The way he answered that at his age is remarkable

  266. rico says:

But he always takes such a bashing and I know that age is no defence, but Nik is older 😉

  267. avenell says:

You was giving Nikki stick when he was Theo’s age..

  268. avenell says:

Vokes has just done a worse miss than any of Bendtners today.. I hate Man U.. why do they get the luck?

  269. rico says:

i still am ave, i dont rate nikki…

  270. avenell says:

I would find it hard to argue judging on todays performance rico.. Let’s hope he gets better on tuesday.

  271. rico says:

I hope so too and may Theo grow from todays performance, we all win then – fingers crossed for Cesc too…

Catch you guys tomorrow, look forward to the match report, especially as you or JJ have to give Theo a good write up 😉 😉

    Nighty night

  272. JonJon says:

    anyone about?

ave you done a write up?

  273. avenell says:

I haven’t done anything JJ.. do you fancy it?

  274. JonJon says:

    yeah i’ll do it

  275. avenell says:

Rock and Roll JJ.. I can’t wait!..

  276. Evo in Oz says:

great result today lads and ladies

  277. rico says:

    Morning all…

    There’s only one Nikki Bendtner…

Thank the Lord for that 😆

  278. rico says:

Morning rsd, watched the whole game last night, can’t believ how many chances we spurned – Best game Theo has played for us I think, his crosses were better his control better and a well taken goal.

I really hope this is the beginning of what he is really about and not just a flash in the pan. He wasn’t up against the best left back, but he will have gained confidence in bundles..

  279. just shows what he can do given space
    least his crossing getting better
and runs are going the right places
still not perfect but he is progressing
would have thought he’d start tues
it what we missed last time we played them
    with them playing s

  280. such a high line
have to go sunday school for girls
nb to give ave some stick

  281. JonJon says:

take a peek in drafts rico.. 😉

  282. rico says:

Morning JJ, it shows you as still editing so I will hang fire 😉

  283. JonJon says:

ive logged out now rico..had connection problems so i saved it in word and pasted it into drafts at first chance…might need a once over my dear 😉

  284. rico says:

    new post looms 😉

  285. rico says:

i’ll take a peep, i am sure its just mighty fine JJ
