The last weekend in Feb strike’s again!
When is this crap that Arsenal don’t like it up’em going to end?
That’s 3 times in five years that we have been the victims of similar incidents.
I think I speak for everyone when I say all our thoughts go out to our Rambo at least when we win the league he will get a medal. He has 7 starts and 11 subs.
On to the game.. The only surprise in the line up was the inclusion of Ramsey tho he did play very well v the makems.
So we started badly and then Song who didn’t put his brain in till half time saved a corner and put his clearance out for a throw on.

Surely this must be the first thing you say to the team, don’t give away throws in your half v Stoke. The curse of the ACN strikes another player
So the shiner threw it in and for some reason we set up as if it was a not Delap throw in, no one on the back post, what would you know Song goes to sleep.
1-0 down, plenty of time left I thought. We started to get going a little but not a lot.
Clichy “The Hurricane” was quality.
‘Here comes the story of the hurricane….” – he just read play beautifully and won the ball of some potter, this lead to an attack but not much came from it.

We looked like we’re getting more control, as Stoke sat back, they made it hard for us by pressing and not giving us anything, the ref thought this was ok and there were quite a few “pressings” that were debatable.
Delap then thought he’d won a throw near the box and was just shining up the ball with that fucking towel of his when Clichy ran over ripped the towel and the ball out of his hand.
I hadn’t seen the ref give the throw the other way so I thought Clichy had had enough of the shiner and was gonna nut him and burn his towel too. thankfully he’s got less of a hot head than me and took the quick throw.
We were saying the script was written about how history repeats itself, but always brings a new twist.
It looked like one of those games where we’re gonna do everything pretty but still not score.
The team was pushing for the goal and pushing up the pitch. Sol was so solid and kept Fuller in check, there was some crunching tackles and no nonsense defending.
We looked a little slow and couldn’t really turn Stoke, the one time we did and Faye snuffed out a Bendtner chance, another chance fell to Cesc and he worked Sorensen from outside the box.
I was thinking, we just aren’t at the races today and then bang Cesc sends a beautiful ball in to the box (forget all those pretty triangles) Bendtner still had a lot to do with the header but he cushions it across the goal, into the top corner..

What a HEADER!

1-1 game on
Marmaduke duke, marmaduke duke

We got into it a little, Eboue made a nice run to the edge of the box, but was fouled Cesc took the freekick but into the wall.
Stoke then found themselves in our box and I thought we we are doing everything to keep them there, finally Sol stepped in and hoofed it away
Another Song moment.

HT 1-1

I missed the opening minutes of the first half I know I missed a penalty shout, but all I can tell you is it was a 50/50, sometimes you do sometime you don’t, it was ramsey who went down .
We started hot and really look like we could score at will, Ramsey especially he must of been wound up by Wenger.
Eboue was finding the most space with the ball, but running into cul de sacs and then falling over like Stevie-G, and not passing, he needs a run of games.

Then Eboue showed me why Wenger plays him in midfield “he can shoot”. This lead to Cesc having a pop shot from range too.

Anything you can do….

The Hurricane was picking up speed and turning in to a proper Katrina, I pity any fool on the opposite right flank for the rest of the season..

Song then got the softest yellow I’ve ever seen in me life, if anything Delap fouled him, so that’s his tenth yellow so he’ll miss Burnley and Hull. The good news is it means he’ll be fresh for Porto.
Then it happened, it is still a bit too sore to recall and you don’t need me to explain it,the faces of Cesc, Bendtner and TV were as white as ghosts.

I think most people would have turned colour if you had been that close You know Shawcross didn’t mean it and was horrified at what he did. Apparently Pulis said Shawcross’s mum came to pick him up from the ground..
Credit goes to Glenn Whelan he sat there and shouted at the bench and stayed with Rambo till the medics came and rushed him to hospital.
Really you have to blame the ref for not clamping down on loose tackles. It is strange that 2 years ago in the last game in Feb that Dudu’s injury happened.
Yet back then we dropped two goals and lost our five point lead and the title now this season we have cut the lead from five to three points.
(standing at the time of 1-1 five points)
And we’re gonna win the league.

They drew first blood, so on came THE ARSENAL, Rosicky on for Rambo it obviously it took a while for us to get going again and stoke got some joy down the left, a cross along six yard box was well left by TV.

Dudu then came on for Sami and he almost had instant impact, but he was in on his right and went with his left he missed wide.
Then what would you know a pen, Bendtner has a shot and blocked by Pughs hand and ref pointed to the spot. Maybe what I said about us getting a pen in every game untll then end of the season is coming true.
Cesc steps up, this guys got cojones! and not quite bang, but much like his last pen he placed it in the corner.

Capitán Fábregas

7 mins injury time came up on the board, I was hoping we could play nice triangles in our own half with lots of lovely percussion, but oh no we push for more.
Bendtner get tumbled over in the box, it would have been a soft penalty.
Then Rosicky takes a shot that works Sorensen, he palms it wide, Cesc is there to pick up the pieces, he uses his head as always, slides the ball across to TV and he can’t miss from there.

That was for Rambo, you know it you could see it in TV’s face

The group huddle was telling. This no longer a 3 horse race for the title
It’s our Destiny

We’re gonna win the league,
And now you’re gonna believe us…

Morning Roadsters – RSD, I have copied your last comment on the old post..

just saw this on aclf by G4E
    quality post

Everyone is talking about “malice” and “Intent”…You don’t need malice or intent to hurt someone badly.

When you get behind the wheel drunk and drive, there is no intent or malice to hurt anyone….but you still can kill someone.

You don’t even have to be drunk, there is something called “Reckless” driving…Showcase and the stupid giant, plus the one who hurt Diaby share the same feature…recklessness, and for some reason they are all English players in mediocre teams with mediocre talent for football?

The funny thing is when poor Fabio Cabello can’t find any decent player but the reckless to select for his national squad.

The FA will do nothing because this is Arsenal
The aggressor will find a million pundit to say he’s nothing but a “docile lamb”.
And forgive me for saying this, but it will happen to us again and again…it already did 3 times in 6 years…because this type of aggression and recklessness is allowed against Arsenal.

The only one that can stop this aggression towards us, and get the FA’s attention, is US and only US….but that’s another post for another time.

I’m proud how the whole team reacted after this horrible incident, and specifically some players starting with: Vermaelen, Clichy, Campbell, and Fabregas.

Every time the mugs, hacks, and not so bright pundits spread the doubt about us competing for the title, we put the doubt right back into their empty thick skulls…take that you f8ckers.

  2. rico says:

RSD, thank you for this mornings post, its good to have another view on the game – hope you are around today to share your views further..

  3. rico says:

Every time I watch that header of Nik’s I smile, it was just perfect. That may just be the start of a run of goals..

  4. nishanth says:

Good post. The foul on ramsey inside the box was a clear penalty.Faye just tackled him behind and wasn’t even close to the ball

  5. steve says:

guess what, England are based at the arsenal training ground tomorrow and tuesday, how will showcross cope with that

  6. rico says:

What seriously worries me is, this could be enough for cesc and arsene to leave.

do we hear of this type of tackle/injury abroad?

Arsene said he cannot live with this type of game…

  7. morning rico
    edit in 3rd paragraph
“We looked a little slow and could really turn Stoke”
    should read “couldn’t”
and above “anything you can do..”
    it was cesc not ramsey

trigg has slaughtered my piece 😉

  8. rico says:

morning nishanth and steve, welcome to avenell road, your comments will go straight up now

  9. JonJon says:

    good peice..

i think the players should use this now to push on…believe its rambos last game and win the league so he gets a medal…

i blame pulis more than shawcross…pulis tactics are same every year…remember when delap put theo on his arse last year and he did his shoulder in for ages???

go out and kick arsenal..hit them with set pieces…

thing is now its happened to a young ‘british talent’ not a foreigner…so will everyone wake up and will the refs start protecting us a little more like they protect the mancs??

  10. K-TR7 says:

I have been so sad since the game,it was to some stoke fans who clapped for aaron, but some were twats chanting ‘he only has one leg’which was was a leg break unlike abou’s and eddy’s which were ankle injuries which are difficult to heal since they are joints, aaron is a fighter and he will bounce back.

  11. rico says:

    Morning JJ

whats all the fall out about Almunia? or did i dream that

  12. Mustang says:

    Morning folks!!

I am absolutely sick to death of these spineless so called pundits and media who keep yacking on about “….the only way to stop Arsenal is to get in amongst them, in their faces and rough them up because they don’t fancy it….”
They encourage teams to foul Arsenal players and this is what happens, we are the most fouled team in the league because of that. And the refs let these thugs get away with murder time and time again…
You can almost taste the anti Arsenal bias from these so called pundits.

  13. JonJon says:

shawcross should be made examples of..

he shouldnt play until rambo plays again…

and the thing is that the red card he got was stokes 3rd red card in a row!!!!!!

    no malice???

    its part of their tactics

  14. just jj read in to stuff to much the was lots of high fives with cesc and the waiter

  15. rico says:

You are spot on JJ, but isn’t it sad it comes to this, three in five years, who else gets injuries of this kind?

Look at us v Porto, how many time did Cesc get battered
How many clear cut penalties do we not get

Add to the leg breaks, the dreadful tackle on Theo last year…

    Makes me f-in angry..

  16. am says:

All my wishes go out to Ramsay, get well soon.

On another note, is there any chance of recalling eithr Lansbury or Jay Emmanuanl Thomas?

As I believe they are better than Denilson.

  17. JonJon says:

    morning all 😉

rico manny never joined the huddle..dunno why but they were all shouting him over cesc theo and sol especially but in the end they gave up and sol just threw his arms in the air and they got on with it without him…

then you seen manny just wandering around in the back ground not even trying to get there…

  18. JonJon says:

i seen him hugging cesc though so i dunno

  19. rico says:

    Morning Mustang – good comment

Fat Sam, Phil Brown are just two who set up against us that way, I am sure I could think of a few others!

  20. JonJon says:

i think the yellow wont turn out to be a bad thing for song..

his forms dipped he looks he gets a rest and refresh for the title run in..

  21. Mustang says:

“thing is now its happened to a young ‘british talent’ not a foreigner…so will everyone wake up”

Unfortunately they will not wake up….. They will only wake up if it was Wayne Rooney!

  22. rico says:

strange one indeed jj, maybe the Ramsey injury – he just wanted to get off

  23. rico says:

i think songs yellow was on purpose..

  24. if we had to lose song for two games you couldn’t have picked a better two burnley at home and hull away
thing is we’ve lost two midfields in one game.
lets hope diaby back for burnely
and denilson pulls his socks up

  25. K-TR7 says:

The injury has happened to british boy and i’m sure the FA will be forced to look at it.shawcross did the same to ade and cr9 last season and a lengthy ban is in order.anytime the media spout cesc to barca stories should remember cesc’s leadership last night which was unbelievable:scored one, assisted twice, tackled stoke players, telling pulis to shush it and calling the team to centre circle to celebrate.Sol was so passionate after vermy’s goal it was unreal,he looked like a caged animal, bendy scored a classic cf goal and i was chuffed for him.when ramsey lay on the ground, clichy showed maturity by comforting his shellshocked teammates and put in his best performance of the season,i salute you Gael!

  26. rico says:

morning am, welcome to avenell road. i am unsure if we can call a player back from loan, if we could i would have thought simpson would have been called back when we had no strikers

  27. JonJon says:

ive never paid much atention to the anti arsenal bias in the media..i think ppl focus on it much too much at times and it becomes an excuse to poor performances on the pitch..

but even i have to admit that the media have been the cause of this..them and the refs not protecting us enough..

but after yesterday i think that will change..the media was licking our balls..even MOTD were licking our balls…

  28. Mustang says:

    Morning Rico,

Tony Cascarino, Mikey Quinn, le tissier, Alan Hansen, even David Platt, the list goes on…

  29. JonJon says:

    i agree…i love jet..

  30. JonJon says:

    or gerrard..or terrry

    all the wankers in football

  31. rico says:

I was talking managers Mustang, the pundits make my blood boil, especially when its from ex gooners too

  32. rico says:

I hope we shove this right back up their orifices and win the league and CL, that might just shut the idiots up..

  33. JonJon says:

    yeah sols passion impressed me..

gael was my joint man of the match with cesc…and i think gael has learned from the dudu inncident..he was one of the players that fell to bits that day so hats off to staying strong and galvanising the boys this time

  34. rico says:

RSD, re your earlier, AW has said Diaby, Gallas and AA should all be back for the Burnley game, Song only misses one game doesn’t he?

  35. The hurricane is back JJ
    Reap the Whirlwind…

  36. JonJon says:

to be honest im not really bothered about the CL now…

obviously it would be nice but my hearts set the the PL

piss the lot of em off that would…

  37. it two according to KC on

  38. JonJon says:

    song misses 2 rico

    10th yellow 2 games

  39. rico says:

Sol’s all round performance has been incredible, wish he had gone to pompey on loan for a season after the wh walk about and then came back the following year. Him and TV together are a pretty solid pair… even at his old age 😉

  40. JonJon says:

    yeah he was everywhere RSD

    clichy of old…

  41. K-TR7 says:

When ramsey lay injured,i thought birmingham all over again but no,the lads knew how much we needed this and they gave it to us in the most emotional game of the season;the injury at birmingham ended our title challenge but i believe this will spur us on,and if we win it boy have we paid a steep price.the experiences of rvp, eddy and diaby will be crucial to how ramsey recovers.Never have i been prouder of Arsenal this season and yesterday typified our maturity.stoke were surprised that they wouldn’t bully us and we made them look poor without their to whelan who showed alot of concern when ramsey was injured.

  42. JonJon says:

yeah i was wrong about sol..

thought he was washed up but he’s turning out to be the shit…better than silvestre…

and i’ll never forget what sol did to us but i can forgive as long as he keeps he performances coming

  43. rico says:

KTR7, I thought the same, in fact I thought we would go on to lose, that thought didn’t last long though. The players went hell for leather to get a result, wish Eduardo had taken his chance…

  44. JonJon says:

yeah was really proud of the lads yesterday…

when you see hardman TV sat almost crying you know times are hard..but we pulled through this time..showed massive character..

lets win this for aaron..get the lad a medal

  45. rico says:

I have to go out, back around lunctime..

JJ, will you be around to check any pending’s please? ave’s probably still snoring 😉

  46. yeah time for church people
    see you later
    have fun

  47. JonJon says:

i’ll keep an eye out rico

  48. K-TR7 says:

Morning jj,rico&RSD-Sol signing was a masterclass by Aw and yesterday fuller was bullied by big sol.clichy’whirlwind’is back boys,he seems to have improved since his catipulation on MOTD and his downfall began at birmingham, his rise has began at stoke, gael made cr9 look poor so don’t doubt the guy,he bleeds Arsenal and he will be a legend.i think nature wants us to win the epl, several times in the season we have looked out of it only to come back again.we should use that anger and turn it into passion, all our players will be fired up you can bet on it.Cesc showed real passion and desire yesterday;the media give the illusion that a captain should be 6feet tall, thug and screamer but i wouldn’t change cesc for anyone.

  49. rico says:

thanks jj, goota re-home our chickens, they are bullying eachother and need a cockrel 😉

  50. JonJon says:

    morning mate

yeah i think the amount of times weve been 1000 points behind and come back says something…

the leagues ours…our run in is easy and although we shouldnt take it for granted we should look at it as the chance to take this game at a time..3 points every time and before we know it we’ll be top of the pile

  51. Erick says:

Mornin all RSD nice post the player of the season out for two games thats harsh but hope we can cope without him the league is wide open lads

  52. K-TR7 says:

It would have been a fairytale if eddy had scored the winner.Bendtner’s presence upfront enabled us hold up the ball in the final third making our midfield comfortable.Eboue did well despite his indecision some times.Nasri is really improving,he took stoke players on yesterday with some surreal dribbles and wasn’t easily bullied.his celebration after cesc scored typified his passion and how his winning mentality is developing.his linkup play with cesc was sublime at times.Morzart looked class too and it was clear for all to see the calming influence he has on gael and the rest of the team,he also linked up with cesc so well.his shot culminated into the third goal which ended the contest, more of the same lads!

  53. JonJon says:

    morning erick

i think song needed the rest anyway…diabys back next week anyway but even with denilson i think we’ll have enough for hull and burnley

  54. Goonio says:

That was a sickening incident, and all my thoughts go to Aaron. I wish him a speedy and full recovery.
Now, regarding the challenge, whether there is intent or malice, the question is not there. These guys are professionals, the best in the field, and nobody should find excuses for these kind of challenges. Regardless to the fact that the culprit is in the English squad, he should be out as long as Ramsey is not back playing. If the FA (and the clowns at the Fifa) cleaned up the game by setting strict rules, there will be more incidents like that.
But I won’t hold my breath. If one looks at what the officials did regarding racism in football, or even putting in place modern ways to control the game and help referees, we are hundreds years behind Rugby and making football a game rather than a constant rant.

  55. JonJon says:

    welcome goonio

can u imagine the uproar if manutd or chelsea would have had three of their players suffer the same injury??

  56. Erick says:

JJ I have not confidence in Denilson i would prefer a tired Song any day but rules are rules so Denilson plays he exposed the back four during the Porto game he need to up his game

  57. JonJon says:

denilsons useless against the big teams but hes good enough for the likes of hull and burnley

i dont really rate denilson either but i dont see us having problems against the tiny teams with him in the team..

    their both relegation fodder

  58. JonJon says:

does anyone have an update on ramsey yet?? i been looking everywhere but everyone seems more interested in how shacross is feeling

  59. Erick says:

The problem mate is that every game to us is a final we cant afford to loose let alone draw any of the remaining games but if Billy, AA and Abou can make this games we can play TV in defensive midfield wat you think JJ

  60. Erick says:

  61. JonJon says:

    i dont rate denilson..

but if you remember last year we went 21 games unbeaten with him in the team and we still finished in the top 4 and he played almost every game

against the big teams he does struggle theres no doubt about that but against the likes of the relegation fodder he does do a job

personally id go for cesc diaby and rosicky as the midfield three and id keep TV at the back…we need him at the back more i think although he would be excellent in the midfield

    cesc diaby rosicky or

    cesc denilson diaby

good enough to beat hull and burnley..

    then songs back

  62. JonJon says:

theres 30 points left to get..

i think 25 will be enough to win the league so we can afford a loss and a draw

manu will stumble..they have tough fixtures and chelseas back line is cech, no cole no essien and terrys game has gone to pot…there game is based on strong defence and its gone to shit..yesterdays result could send them into spiral

    chelsea could finish third..

weve got this erick…and we aint throwing it away this time…

  63. Erick says:

Sol’s physical presence is massive we need him AW claims we cant use him two games in a row but he seems full of energy he made Fuller look like a dwarf impressive stuff

  64. maturks says:

I think Sol has done well to keep his place for a while.Gallas shouldn’t come in straight away. The injury to Ramsey and the suspension of Song might bring back the Brazilian non-performer in but this is the time for Arsene to blood in Eastmond. He should offer same opportunities he offered to Denilson to Eastmond now and see who’s better to deputise for Song.

  65. JonJon says:

sol was immence yesterday…big pesence and a big character..

loved it when he lost his rag when the stoke lads were pleading with the ref not to send shawcross off..sol went off on one..fuller shat himself

then when TV scored and sol was going nuts…

we need to see more of that…

  66. Meneurdejeu10 says:

This one was for the Welsh Wonder. Get well brother.
We dug deep and showed incredible bottle.

Fabregas will get the plaudits after being at the heart of the three goals. But Nik did well and put in a classic CF header. Eboue solid, if unspectacular.

But my MOTM was none other than Sol Campbell. He rolled up his sleeves and went into 2004 invincible mode on Stoke. Gallas would not have been able to do that. Sol earned himself a contract next year on merit. Sol will go to the World Cup on this form. Terry was struggling for form before his circus show.

It was significant for me that when Welsh Wonder Rambo went off, Le Prof turned to TommyGun and not Denilson. Hopefully he is realising that Denilson is not good enough at this level. Diaby, Gallas and Arshavin need to return.

After what Capello said for Walcott and JCole, looks like Theo will struggle to go to South Africa. WE WERE MORE COMPACT THAN USUAL AND THIS IS WHAT I WAS MOST PROUD OF. Theo is a luxury player at the moment, in the sense that he is occupying a position where defense is not expected. Just decisiveness and Match winning performances every four days now. He is not capable of this right now. I feel Arshavin, with a few weeks rest and no summer football, will return to being a Matchwinner for the next ten games.

He will dominate like the two footed genius that he is.

GUNNERS FOR THE LEAGUE…..It’s for u our Welsh Wonder

  67. Erick says:

I have to disagree with you JJ we can not afford to draw or loose Chelsea and Manure have wat i call killer finishers Drogba and Rooney what i think we lack Torres who has played a handful of games is way above of our top scorer but if the league is tied on goal difference we have to look at our head to head record (correct me if am wrong) which we were beaten hands down

  68. JonJon says:

    welcome maturks…

i dont think now is the time to blood eastmond…although denilson isnt everyones cup of tea he has much more experience in the PL and its what we need right now…eastmonds still learning and we dont have time for blooding players in the middle of a title charge…

diabys back next week anyway so denilson might not get called upon..its only two games im sure denilson can cope if he is

    its only hull and burnley

  69. JonJon says:

    well said mate

  70. maturks says:

We went 21 unbeaten not wins. If we had had a better midfielder that 21 unbeaten with several draws against weak teams at the Emirates, could have been a lot of wins and a challenge for the title. Denilson has good stats. but he’s no DM, just a squad member. Ramsey’s lost is a blow because he was keeping the Brazilian crap out.

  71. K-TR7 says:

Imagine if shrek suffered ramsey’s fate?the media would scream their lungs out crying foul, they would even plead that worldcup shouldn’t go on due to injury to ‘world’s best player’.we really don’t need pics of his leg since the faces of vermy and cesc told it all, however they both showed immense character to win us the game.God knows we are due some silverware and soon.Sol almost broke the advert boards due to raw passion, you are a legend.he and vermy ruffled fuller to submission a point which even the biased sky commentary pointed out.Stoke are so poo…r without throwins. On another note i’m glad that arrogant ballack was finally red carded after years of dirty play.

  72. JonJon says:

dont matter about the head to head erick..

weve played all the big teams now and were only three points off..

    thats without rvp since october…

weve lost 6 games all season and 4 of them to the top teams….we beat the little teams and thats where chelsea and manure drop there points

chelsea and manure are not unbeatable and they still have some tough fixtures left..a single injury to rooney or drogba and its curtains..

  73. Erick says:

Maturks i totally agree with you nobody would say Sol’s 35 wat a game he is been having and the celebration against Porto and Stoke yesterday says it all I was wrong Wenger was right on resigning Sol

  74. PDT says:

    Good morning!

Terrible day for AFC! To have to watch one of our brightest young kids have his leg snapped in two by a challenge which would never have been attempted in any other league in the world is terrible.

This is not the first time it has happened. It isn’t even the second time it has happened. Its the THIRD time!!

And it always happens to us! Not to the Mancs, not to the chavs, not to anyone else but us!

You know why? Because all the damn pundits and all the damn papers are saying “Arsenal are easy game away. All you gotta do is kick them”. This has been repeated ad nauseaum and now, every team which knows they cant beat us play to injure us.

It’s time for us fans to get up and do something. We have to write to the papers, we have to write to the FA and we have to get the banners out at the Grove that this has to stop. The bindippers had their Hillsborough disaster, the mancs have their air crash. This is our tragedy and we must get up and demonstrate that this is our tragedy!

We have all these “armies” of “fans” who get up and support Le Boss when he screws up. I want to see these fans get up and denounce these tactics, take the battle to the papers and to away games and show that we will not be quiet and let the damn media tell everyone to kick us.

Ramsey is one of the most promising kids in the UK. The EPL took him in and may have killed his career through slack and liberal officiating. This could never happen in any other league in the world!!

If we fans don’t do anything, no one will and we will have our kids butchered by the Taylors and the Shawcrosses every year!

  75. JonJon says:

yeah i agree it was a boring 21 but dont forget we had cesc out so we had no playmaker..and dont get me wrong i dont rate denilson at all..he doesnt get into the 1st team when they all fit…

but the fact still remains we only have to play two shit teams while songs out and denilson should be able to do a job…

asking eastmond to come into a pressure cooker and blood him in a title charge is abit much..

wenger might go with diaby anyway…

but if denilson plays i wont lose no sleep over it

  76. Erick says:

M10 what do we do about Theo am worried seriously he can get pass one player puzzled 😦

  77. JonJon says:

    morning PDT

    top comment mate…

  78. Erick says:

PDT true very true we are tired of them injuries something has to be done abt it

  79. PDT says:

We have the Supporters’ Trust doing banners and marches to show solidarity with Arsene.

How about some soilidarity for the young lad in hospital?

BTW, any news of what exactly has happened? There is complete silence on the extent of his injury.

  80. PDT says:

The last time I saw such a news blackout was during when Senna hit the wall.

  81. PDT says:

*during the race after Senna hit the wall…

  82. PDT says:

    Morning, JJ!

  83. JonJon says:

ive been looking PDT but everyone seems more interested on the terry handshake and how shawcross is feeling

im sure wenger will let us know soon though

  84. Erick says:

PDT am afraid no news yet 😦 its a wait and see game

  85. Erick says:

PDT &JJ what do we do abt Theo am worried 🙂

  86. JonJon says:

    dont worry about theo, erick…

wengers been using him as a sub recently and when AA comes back and with dudu back it just gives us more options…

if he plays he plays if he dont he dont…we’ll still win the league

  87. Erick says:

For 60000 a week we get a Cameo apperance bad JJ rely bad

  88. Meneurdejeu10 says:

    Mornin Erick

Theo should be relegated to a bit part for the rest of the season. 20 to 30 minute cameos. You can treat the first 28 league and seven UCL matches as the first part of the season. March, April and May is the business end of the season where legends are born and reputations are cemented. This is the time where Drogba traditionally comes out of hibernation and produces clutch performances. He hurts us, but he is decisive in key moments. I digress.

Theo is in poor form. We are startin to improve. We have no margin for error now. Denilson and Silvestre should play no part if we want to win. We have to play a small squad and churn out victories. We are not a charity and our job is to whats best for Arsenal and not for England. Theo for 90mins will hurt us.

    1st choice then replacements
    Clichy, Vermaelen,Silvestre
    Eboue, Rosicky,Walcott

  89. Erick says:

Has AW already confirmed that AA, Diaby and Gallas will be back for Burnely

  90. JonJon says:

yeah but im not really bothered about what certain players can do and cant do at the minute…

im immensly proud to be a gooner this morning and my thoughts are with aaron…

i understand your concerns but im more concerned about how long ramsey will be out for and getting three points from next game..

the boys did us proud yesterday..dont feel right getting on their backs

  91. avenell says:

    Morning Roadsters..

Great post RSD.. better than watching a stream. well done.

The only news on Ramsey is he was moved to London and they are deciding on the best way to operate.

I hope that is good news in a way, when Dudu had his injury they had to operate straight away to save his leg.
There was serious tendon damage with his.

On another note on Talk Sport a Everton fan has just phoned in and couldn’t understand why Shawcross didn’t just get a booking..

  92. Erick says:

M10 so we have to wait until Theo is 21 to come good 😦 saddening but we have no margin for error left every game we have to field the best eleven

  93. Erick says:

True JJ pardon me, the boys did us proud they fought from the first to last minute even when emotions were high they worked around that big up

  94. Erick says:

Ave no news is good news, Aaron is a fighter am more than sure he will bounce back in a big way

  95. Meneurdejeu10 says:

Erick best thing for him is not to go to the World Cup and work all summer. A chip on his shoulder would be good.

He can fool players like McCartney who have no pace. He has no left foot so if you push him to the outside and you got pace, he cant get past you because he has no close control. Cole and Evra are both top quality and shut him down easy. Lennon when healthy and even Ashley Young are two footed.

Walcott should take in Fab4 delicious cross to Nik today. Eboue is so good sometimes he can do it on the run. Just not often enough sadly.

  96. Erick says:

M10 has Theo been named in the 24man squad to face Egypt

  97. avenell says:

Walcott is a one trick pony, he does a stupid lay off and goes running to the corner flag.
Always straight behind a defender, he then leaves Sagna with no option but to pass inside.

  98. JonJon says:

    morning ave…

it looked a bad break..if its a fracture its worse…

a clean break with no complications and he could be back quick like nasri

but if is legs shattered we looking at another dudu

  99. avenell says:

I hope so Erick, but I don’t think Aaron will ever be the same mentally.
Like someone said the reason Eduardo missed his best chance yesterday was because he was waiting for a crunching tackle, just a little seed planted in the back of his mind by his history.

  100. Meneurdejeu10 says:

Egypt have a teriffic flying fullbacks in Mouawwad and Al Mohammadi. Theo will get a cameo. But Egypt can play. Their CBs are slow but their manager Shehata makes that team go. Absolutely top class.

Looking forward to seeing Carlton Cole play with the Roon.

  101. avenell says:

Jonjon.. I am sure it is Fibula and tibia broke.. but with Dudu it was ligament damage that has caused the problems.
We are all going to be guessing for a while, lets hope we get some good news out of in the morning.

  102. Erick says:

Ave Theo’s too predictable M10 i hate Egypt they like time wasting and exagerating injuries Kenya one’s played them and the Ref got into their act the game was full of stopage time especially if they score first Crap

  103. JonJon says:

the FA have to clamp down on these challenges now…

the players who do it are let off too easily..3-6 game ban while the other player spends a year on crutches and 3-6 months learning how to walk again…

look what happened to dudu…your right he would of finished that chance two years ago…..

  104. Meneurdejeu10 says:

loool @Erick. Egypt are masters of the dark arts. Try to get an advantage. They roughed up Drogba many times in a fashion similar to that of Lucio and Samuel this past Wednesday.

  105. Erick says:

Ave if the same happens to Ramsey it will be too sad the misses that Dudu has had are just too many he was the best finisher in EPL woudn’t want the same to happen to Ramsey “the greatest obstacles are in the mind” 🙂

  106. avenell says:

and how the media crucified Eduardo for diving on top after his injury is beyond belief.
If any player in the world should want to protect himself it would be Dudu..

  107. Erick says:

M10 I just hate them but they can also play good football especially Zidan from Hamburg but most of their players play in their local league and are unknown beaware England

  108. JonJon says:

thing is if an arsenal player did it to anyone they’ll be uproar..

  109. Erick says:

The media is an a** ave thats what they are paid to be a pain in the A** they blew the dudu incident out of propotion and Rooney Gerrard and the likes dive every game

  110. avenell says:

They are still talking about the dirty Gallas challenge on the radio..

  111. avenell says:

I’ve got to go out for a few hours.. I will be around this evening if anyone is about..

  112. Meneurdejeu10 says:

The media have in for us. Just imagine if Stevie G, Rooney or Lampard was massacred like Ramsey.

We got a French Gaffer,French players, players who are not English. But we support the Gunners from Los Angeles to London from Shanghai to Chicago.

Itz gonna feel good when Cesc and Sol lift that trophy and Hansen,Lawrenson, Collymore and JRedknapp continue to praise ManUtd and Chelsea

  113. JonJon says:

i find it infuriating when tossers like camara say wenger feels sorry for himself about the refs not protecting us

but at the end of the day teams go out to kick us…programmes like MOTD tell people we dont like being kicked

then we have 3 players with smashed legs in 5 years plus countless other inuries and the pricks still bleat the same shit..

  114. JonJon says:

no other team have had the injuries weve had

if manure had 3 broken legs fergie would be declaring war and everyone would be saying how appalling the utd players get treated

  115. Erick says:

Cheers Ave 🙂 M10 what a feeling it would be we got a real shot at it come on 🙂 🙂

  116. Meneurdejeu10 says:

Camara is tosser. Does he still have the Lionel Richie jhericurls LMAO?

  117. JonJon says:

    yeah m10 lol

  118. Erick says:

JJ I reckon Ferguson would cry in the press conference

  119. Erick says:

Ireland of Manciteh wants to be an Arsenal player what do you think?

  120. JonJon says:

fergie just wouldnt do press conferences full stop…

he sulks and doesnt allow the press to the ground..but they wont critisise him cos he has rooney and rio in his team

i just hope that cos ramsey is british the fa take a different approach and the refs start doing there job..

  121. JonJon says:

i think we have too many players like ireland

i like him and i rate him but i dont think hes better than what we have in his position

  122. Meneurdejeu10 says:

I dont think we need his type. A left footed defensivemid would be nice.

We got Chamakh. Anybody think we’ll buy a Defensive Midfielder?

Also, since Chamakh is coming which attacker will go?
    Vela, Walcott or Eduardo?

  123. Erick says:

Am not sure Chamaka is a done deal M10 and i was thinking in the same line as you guyz Cesc,Rambo,Rosicky,Song and Crap can do a better job M10 must we let someone go 😦

  124. JonJon says:

i dont know if any will go..

i just think that cos wengers had to play nasri and rosicky as strikers all season he wants more options…

the 433 means we should be playing with 3 strikers… but because of injury its become more of a 451 with midgets leading the line..

can never have too many strikers..especially when you need 3 in your formation

agree with the midfielder..think we need more of a song type than a ireland type…

and a new GK while we there wont go amiss either

  125. Erick says:

JJ 3 additions and we are good to go GK,Striker and Chamakah

  126. JonJon says:

alot of ppl reckon we need a new defender but im not so sure

    gallas if he signs
Campbell got another year in him

    should do

  127. Meneurdejeu10 says:

    Somebody’s gotta go though
7 for 3? Vela looks like the odd man out unfortunately. If it was me it would be Theo.

If we play with three strikers we need two MF who track back. So we prolly need Three DM – denilson= success

    Song,New Guy,Eastmond

If a new DM comes, I believe Nasri will be sold or Eastmond will go on loan.

Judging by the numbers Wenger wont buy for MF.

For GK I want Hugo Lloris of Lyon and France. France will beat some teams in the WC b/c of this kid.

  128. JonJon says:

wenger will try keep them all..vela’s theo’s dudu’s and rvp’sinjury record speaks for itself

cesc, nasri, rosicky, diaby all track back and song likes to hold

denilsons the odd one out for me cos he dont do neither really that like to see another flamini type player come in to challenge song but i cant see wenger selling nasri..i wouldnt want him to..denilson seems the obvious choice..unless cesc quits for barca

the midfield is too top heavy with a more defensive midfielder should be a priority

as well as a GK..alot of ppl bang lloris drum but ive nver seen him play tbh..

  129. Erick says:

M10 we need a defender for sure has Sol has one year left 19 year old defender will be a good addition

  130. JonJon says:

dont think wenger will want to spend money on a young defender though erick

kyle bartleys been getting rave reviews so hes bound to get promoted rather than spend money on another player…

  131. Meneurdejeu10 says:

Djourou is like a new signing. Famous word.

    Vermaelen, Campbell, Djourou

    Gallas going or staying?

Gojko Kacar MF from Serbia is a terrific player. Good technique, strong and tactically aware. I bet ManUtd are looking at him. 23yrs old plays for Hertha Berlin

  132. JonJon says:

manu can look at who they want they wont be signing anyone this summer..

i think gallas has been offered two years mate it looks like hes stayin

  133. rico says:

Afternoon peeps, have i missed anything…

  134. JonJon says:

    hi rico not much..

    still no news on ramsey

  135. rico says:

Official statement – Aaron Ramsey’s injury

On Sunday, Arsenal Football Club released the following statement:

“During yesterday’s match against Stoke City, Aaron Ramsey sustained fractures to the tibia and fibula in his right leg. Yesterday evening he underwent surgery.

“The operation successfully reduced the fractures and whilst it is too soon to state an exact timescale for recovery, Aaron will certainly miss the remainder of this season. Our thoughts are with Aaron at this time and everyone at the Club wishes him all the best in making as speedy a return to action as possible.”

  136. rico says:

Spooky JJ, guess what just popped up on

  137. JonJon says:

    well done rico

ahhh fractures…ouch..was hoping for clean breaks but in all honesty it didnt look like it was at all

    poor kid

fingers crossed for no complications and a quick return

  138. rico says:

😉 JJ, breaks heal quicker dont they? good to hear the op went really well and without any complications – hopefully he may be free from pain now as well.

I watched MOTD this morning, seeing the incident again made me feel sick and sad all over again…

    Horrid, just horrid..

  139. JonJon says:

yeah clean breaks heal what nasri had

they just re align the bone and let nature take its corse

fractures are horrible cos the bone takes longer to heal..sometimes involves several ops..

i watched MOTD last night..they sick..had it freezeframed and slow motion and diferent angles…

  140. Meneurdejeu10 says:

Is it possible for the Welsh Wonder to be back in September?

  141. rico says:

I thought the same, Sky are better at that, they just didn’t replay at all, well, until today!!

All the paps have it, NOTW even had a video, amazing what they will do to break news…

At least Hanson and Shearer said it was a dreadful tackle albeit with no intent, Hanson even said he was becoming an Arsenal fan – yeah right, what a prat he is, slag us off all the time and only an injury makes him talk us up…. Knobber!!

  142. hyperbole and revisionism
from wapping as usual have to go to party see you guy tonight

  143. JonJon says:

all the pundits where the same rico

i purposely watched MOTD cos i knew what they were gonna say..wanted to watch em squirm

id say september was abit early..we’ll know more when wenger releases a statement..but id of said xmas at earliest…

  144. rico says:

JJ, Nice one, I love the lad, even more now than I did before – I reckon he will be back for the start of the new season.

He’s only young, his bones will heal quickly..

  145. rico says:

You can send your messages to Aaron on the web site..

  146. rico says:

    Where you all gone then….

  147. rico says:

    No-one around so I’m off for a bit…

  148. W.A.T.H says:

    Is anybody there…………………………?

  149. avenell says:

    Yeah I am now..

Everyone is on a bit of a downer I guess, the anger has subsided..

  150. rico says:

Hi wath, hope you had a good break..

Hi ave, short but sweet visit just to say nighty night, hope to catch you tomorrow…

    stay safe..

  151. rico says:

    Morning all, new post up
