Sky Sports miss Gerrard Dive Exclusive!

Well not very exclusive at all really.

The other day we was having a debate on how biased Sky Sports news are on the way they favoured Ireland over France in the run up to the World Cup play offs.
Here is another example of how they are selective in their reporting. After the way Dudu got hung drawn and quartered for going down at the slightest of touches from a keeper, they also whipped up a sea of emotion against Thierry Henry for his handball in the Ireland game. Last weekend England’s Stevie Gerrard does this..

Thanks to the Republik of Mancunia for the clip.

Surely there has to be some sort of a body to ensure that reporting is done fairly, because Sky and others are starting to act as guardians of football and not the FA or Fifa who appear to be bowing down to the pressure of these media sources.
On Sunday morning on Talk Sport the Scouser Quinn made the excuse that he never saw the match and it could not have been too bad as SSN wasn’t showing it.  England supporters would accept it if Stevie G did it to win us the World Cup.. Is that two faced or what?

At least Eduardo kept dignified silence up and only spoke after FIFA cleared his name.unlike the kettle and pot comments of Gerrard.

This is the problem with retrospective punishments, they are selective in who is the chosen one for the witch hunt,

When it was said that a majority of newspapers and a few TV channels being owned by one person was a dangerous thing, I never realized the importance of that, I do now and it makes me wonder what rubbish we have been fed over many years and how that has affected the opinion of the public on many issues.

Perhaps the blog world is the best place to be.

Anyway that’s all getting a bit heavy, It was just a short one today, see you in the comments..

I know we have been over this before, but I didn’t want to just let it go.
I am fed up with our players being the only ones picked on..

  2. rico says:

  3. rico says:

    Bloody Hell

That is a younger squad than our CC squad. No Senderos again….. Adios Big Phil, Adios …..

Diving ave, bloody diving makes me so angry, but unless video footage is introduced then it won’t ever be stopped….. And I am not dragging that up again 😉

  4. rico says:

Henri Lansbury wants to stay at Watford for the rest of the season – that has to be good, we are out the CC, he will get a lot more experience there than coming back…

I so hope he makes it with us…

I wonder where LJ will end up on loan?

  5. avenell says:

    Hi Rico..

There’s video footage there, but nothing is said. that’s the point only our players will be subject to that..

It takes refereeing the game out of the hands of a (hopefully) unbiased ref and puts it into the hands of a biased media to choose which crimes will be investigated.

  6. rico says:

Oh well, I am talking to myself which is not so good, especially having spent the morning chatting with old Raspy 😉

  7. avenell says:

    Second best and invisible.. 😦

  8. rico says:

I mean video reffing etc ave rather than the footage. Until a panel is there in place to judge these incidents either at the time or retrospectively it won’t matter if Sky, BBC, You Tube or whoever show it, nothing will ever happen 😦

Had ‘Not so Fat Sam’ been in charge agaisnt the dippers, things would probably been so different, he would have made that dive know to all and sundry..

  9. rico says:

    Invisible no, but…… 😉

  10. rico says:

What do you make of the squad for tomorrow ave, they a very very very young…

Hope the Pampers are packed 😉 😉

  11. avenell says:

I hope we are not risking our confidence by putting out a weakened team.
4 defeats in the last 5 games going into the Dippers game doesn’t sound good. 😦

  12. rico says:

The game means nothing ave, we have an injury list as long as the channel tunnel and we don’t need any more…

The kids will know that its a ‘nothing game’ and they will have a fantastic game and probably win…

Is it any more difficult than playing a £200M Citeh
or a Dipper squad full of stars?

I bet they will play their little hearts out and I can’t wait to watch it 😛

  13. Amaury says:

    spot on Avnell.

  14. rico says:

Seems I am defiantely alone now, so off to get some chores done, catch you later

  15. avenell says:

Hi Amaury.. Cheers and welcome to Avenell Road mate.. you can blog free now.

I will check that out.. cheers..

Sorry rico I had a phone call to attend to.

  16. rico says:

Well it wasn’t me so it couldn’t have been that important 😉

A phone call, I don’t believe you, you were not gone long enough 😉

    Hi Amaury

  17. Rasputin says:

    Hi ave, rico,

There is a world of difference in terms of ‘confidence boosting’ in sending a team into the lion’s den at citeh when they are fighting to stay in a competition and where there are no weighty reinforcements on the bench compared to tomorrow’s game where we have already qualified. They can enjoy the the experience and play with freedom, and moreover they know they are providing an importtant service to the Arsenal by making it possible for the first team players to be rested.

  18. kelsey says:

A phone call, I don’t believe you, you were not gone long enough 😉

  19. peachesgooner says:

I agree Rasputin – I’m really looking forward to watching that game now that there will be the youngsters playing.

Do Olympiakos need to get anything out of the game – it would be better if they did as they’ll want to come out and play……………..

  20. Rasputin says:

    Hi peaches,

Olympiacos are currently in 2nd place 3 points ahead of SL, but it could be that if they lose and SL win, they may not qualify. They’d certainly be happy with a draw – let’s hope they don’t play with that in mind….

  21. peachesgooner says:

Hmmmmmmm tricky for them then ………. could be interesting if our game is goalless (2 L’s?) and Liege go in front…….

  22. peachesgooner says:

When teams draw in the champs lge they use the head to head rule as a decider….. all gets very complicated 😦

  23. Rasputin says:

Actually I think that Olympiacos will ony go out if they lose and SL win, all other scenarios and they go through. If I was the Olympicos manager, I would be very wary of our young guns and go all-out to try to win the game.

I agree with rico, its going to be great to watch and for once, absolutely no pressure. Also a chance for LJ to show his ineffectual performance against citeh was just a blip. He battled hard against Bellamy, but none of his runs seemed to bear fruit and he was clearly frustrated.

  24. rico says:

    Hi Guys 🙂

kelsey, you have called him too then ;);) 😉 Glad you chuckled…

  25. rico says:

If it wasn’t for x y and z, and if the game tomorrow was at home, and we could get tickets – we would go, I really can’t wait to watch the future become the present 😛

  26. peachesgooner says:

Hi rico – how are you?

  27. rico says:

hi peaches – i will email you 😦

  28. London says:

    Here you go Rasp

I knew I could find something to disagree with you on. Tomorrow night we will put out a reserve team and they will put out a reserve team and they will, no doubt, “play with freedom and enjoy the experience” but apart from a shopping trip to Athens how is that going to be any different to what they get every week in the reserves. What that molly coddled group of over paid youngsters need is to come up against the likes of City to find out what it really takes to play in the big time.

  29. kelsey says:

Senderos is injured and out for tomorrow,a tackle feom Bartley in training. Is that a red herring 🙂

  30. Davi says:

Thanks for that avenell, Id been meaning to see that
They were having a “debate” on talksport about it and adrian durham was claiming that because gerrard didnt appeal, it wasnt a dive! They claimed anything could have caused him to go down there, but seeing it there’s not even the slightest doubt about it.
Basically Gough was arguing against, and the guy just strong-armed him. He even managed to convince some people calling in! He didnt need any “evidence over eduardo. I also distinctly remember him calling wenger an “enemy of football” for not publicly outing his own player!
They went on to say that if gerrard were to dive for a pen in the world cup to win a game, he shouldnt own up to it, and they proclaimed it would delight them if he’d do so (so basically he admitted that gerrard DID dive in this game afterall). After all their moral posturing over arsenal and eduardo.
On top of that they (somehow) blamed wenger in part for henry’s handball
It’s insane. it’s far from just sky sports and Talksport that are biased though. BBC, ITV theyr all the same.
How many times have they seen a blatant dive by one of their favourites (gerrard or rooney) that they just cant defend -leading to an awkward silence and maybe “perhaps he went down a bit easily there…”

This is what allows refs to be harsh on us against certain teams. Because these biased idiots in the media wont call them out on it! Rooney dived against us (he dived last week as well!), Carlton cole dived against us, the ref got it horribly wrong for the free-kick they scored against us, but they say nothing.
Still, although unrelated to arsenal, to me, the greatest injustice this season is that jonny evans got away with a kung fu kick on drogba that might have broken his rib. It just shows though how media-driven this whole thing is. It begs the question: would the FA have punished adebayor for the kick on rvp if there had been no media attention?
They’re spineless and completely run by the media as they just dont want to be called out on anything

  31. Davi says:

Avenell – Sorry your title got me going so i had to rant before i really read your article. Your comments are spot on. The whole thing is media-driven.
This is why arsenal fans need to stop concentrating so much on the perceived faults in the arsenal side and start pointing out all the deficiencies in the system.
We get the short end of it in almost every big match we play in now. Its cos these media people are all biased against us and the refs can get away with treating us like crap. Theyr as spineless as the FA, its easier to give stuff to Man utd, chelsea or liverpool than it is to us, because if they get it wrong in favour of those teams, who cares? If they get it wrong in favour of arsenal, it will be a big deal (or at least that’s what they think).
In so many big games now its noticable our players get booked so much more easily than the opposition. THats a massive handicap LET ALONE all the crucial decisions (sometimes 50-50) that are ruled in favour of our opponents almost every time.

  32. avenell says:

    Great comment Davi..

The thing is we never comment on this problem unless it affects us and we lose a big game like a semi final..
We are mild mannered Arsenal fans who don’t seem to care, we should be in arms over this bombarding Sky and talk sport .

I wrote this before your last comment..

  33. Davi says:

The arsenal fans I know aren’t so mild mannered towards our own players though. It’s frustrating.
Im glad you’ve picked up on this though. Hopefully you can inspire others 🙂

  34. rico says:

So why do we all not bombard the likes of Sky, BBC, the papers and any other body that covers the football and its cheating – we can all whinge as we do, but blogs won’t change anything…

How many of us have contacted any of those mentioned??

    I know I have 😉 😉

  35. avenell says:

Where do we start though Davi?
Take Saturday for example. As Wenger said last year Delap takes over a minute to take a throw on.. He has to come from the other side of the pitch, dry the ball, walk back 10 feet then throws it.
This needs reporting to the FA, but it doesn’t matter because we beat Stoke this time.

Goalkeepers should only move across there line Sorenson was nearly out of his six yard area when he saved Cesc’s penalty..

The rules are already in place but the referees do not adhere to them.

  36. avenell says:

If you phone or text Sky or Talk Shite it costs 50p minimum , that is why they do it.. Perhaps we should go straight to the FA..

One or two voices won’t be heard. With respect to the people on this site only one of our regulars which was you commented on my post.. that is why it doesn’t work no one cares…

  37. avenell says:

Or we have got used to it and it has worn us all down..

  38. rico says:

Email ave, email doesn’t cost anything…

Also, a letter, but do you have a postman/woman where you live 😉 😉

  39. London says:

    I think it’s a red and white herring 😉

  40. rico says:

I am not sure on that though ave about the comments, i just think it’s part of life in general – we all just feel like we are banging our heads against a brick wall, so we think what is the point?

Look at the conversation the other day about the ‘3rd umpire’ – you didnt want that introduced, but in all honesty, that is the only way that incidents like your post today will be resolved..

We either say NO to 3rd umpire and put up with the Gerrard dives each week…

Move on and let technology help to stamp out the cheats……..

  41. avenell says:

Do they collect from yours.. we have to find a letter box..

They get thousands of emails that never get read out it’s a waste of time.. If the Eduardo leg break never sorted it nothing will. They made it out to be Eduardo’s fault.. I don’t think that’s the direction to go down. Perhaps direct to the FA is the solution.

What I would like to see is a program with some refs and players discussing the incidents of week and the referee’s performances.
Like how did we get 6 yellows last week?
    Name and shame them..

  42. rico says:

There you go ave, send your suggestion to the Beeb or Sky??

We cant all give up, its like us all trying to get on Newsnow – they say no, but one day they will allow AR on….

I have to go now sadly – the little ones have woken up and I am off outside with a torch 😦

    Catch you in a while…

  43. avenell says:

I even agree with that Tit from Tring sometimes, like when he says English players get preferential treatment..

  44. Davi says:

Avenell – I think sites like this are the best start. Hopefully others will follow suit, and it will be tough to ignore.
I know what you mean about sky and talksport.
I dont want to pay either so I send emails or comments (I let them get to me too much really in truth) but they never read my comments or post them on the sky sports website.

  45. avenell says:

    See you later rico..

  46. avenell says:

Davi.. At least it is somewhere to vent your anger.

I do like Talk Sport compared to 5 live.. but I don’t listen to Durham and Quinn.

  47. rico says:

ave, i am suddenly getting an email telling me when every comment has been left on here – any idea why please?????

  48. avenell says:

Do you listen to the Brazil show when Steve Stanners is on at 7 some mornings.. Brazil and that other idiot shut up because he talks loads of sense.. Then as soon as he leaves the studio they ignore what he had to say because it doesn’t suit there provocation against us Gooners.

  49. avenell says:

You may have accidently clicked the little box under where we write the comments..

  50. avenell says:

You cannot ignore me.. I am coming into your email box.. NOW!!!

  51. avenell says:

“Let’s clog up rico’s emails” “Let’s clog up rico’s emails la la la la” 😉

  52. Davi says:

I have noticed that recently actually. I dont know if it was Steve Stanners but I know they do shut up on occasion when theres someone they just cant argue with and then immediately switch back to their “talking points”
I think the provocation is what keeps me listening sometimes. Some of the stuff that durham comes out with in particular is just insane – Its obviously intentional because there are occasions when he shows he is a logical human being, he just doesnt mind being the bad guy on the radio I guess.

  53. avenell says:

He certainly got Jamie Carragher going last year, when he refused to play for England.

  54. avenell says:

Have you sorted it out rico?

  55. rico says:

No ave, ane I haven’t got any ‘box’ 😦 😦

  56. rico says:

Oh well, guess I will have to sort it tomorrow 😦 😦

    Night all

  57. avenell says:

If not it is in your discussion settings it’s in the bottom one of those boxes on the left hand side in your dashboard.

  58. Rasputin says:

    Hi London, re your 6:12…..

What makes you think that Olympiacos will put out a reserve team? They could go out if they lose. They will put out a team to win and it will be a stiff challenge for our kids.

Have you actually ever been to a reserve game at Underhill? They’re pretty physical and competitive…..

What the players at all levels need is to get into a winning mentality and the citeh game won’t have done much to engender that in them.

Any way, as usual I made a much more interesting comment left languishing in the last post relating facets of players ability to their value, which might have stimulated more comment I feel.

  59. kelsey says:

    Good morning all.

Rasp has a good point about Olympiacos, they can’t afford to lose as they could go out.

Red and white herring London, I swear that thought was in my mind London.

What is strange is that the report said Senderos had been injured by Bartley Tuesday morning.Surely as Senderos is not in the squad, together with the fact that the squad must have travelled yesterday, tells me Senderos is definitely on his way out.

    New avatar for peaches.

  60. rico says:

    Morning Roadsters 🙂

  61. Irishgunner says:

    Morning Kelsey.

Senderos is gone so AW will have to bring in a defender at least.

  62. rico says:

    Morning kelsey

Olympiacos will not want to lose against a young side either, they will definately be up for the game tonight, I think it will be a fantastic experience for our young side.

Senderos I think has already gone, deal done with Atletico Madrid…

  63. rico says:

    Morning Irish..

Let’s just hope he doesn’t think that Silvestre is up to the job… And he can’t move Song back as he won’t be around 😦

  64. Irishgunner says:

    Morning Rico

  65. London says:

    Morning Rasp

I stand corrected, I made the mistake of assuming Olympiakos had nothing to play for. That being the case the youngsters will have played two meaningful games after tonight, the other, of course, being against City.

As for have I ever been to Underhill? I went to school four hundred yards away from it, I played football behind it for five years and the wall at the end of one of my brother’s garden is the corrigated iron of one of the stands; so, I am very familiar with the ground but must admit I go less than I used to; although, I watch many of the games on

  66. Irishgunner says:

Exactly – he will only have Vermaelen, Gallas, Silvestre and at a push Ayling and Bartley (way too young) so he has to buy a CB.

  67. rico says:

    Morning London

  68. rico says:

I bet he gets Nordveit back from loan, he will just like a new signing 😉

  69. London says:

    Morning Rico and Irish

If we sell Senderos we will buy another CB and there is little doubt in my mind that one has already been lined up.

  70. rico says:

Bloomin heck, manure are reportedly going to sign Big Sol – if he is training with us and fit he would be a good stop gap if Ebenezer won’t spend…

  71. Irishgunner says:

Or maybe Vermaelen has a twin …. but taller

  72. rico says:

Wolfsberg are out of CL, Dzeko must be up for grabs now 😉

  73. London says:

Did you watch the Wolfsberg game Rico? And do you still want us to sign him?

  74. Irishgunner says:

    Morning London.

Sol won’t be back. Think he’ll get someone from Europe or what about Upson if West Ham are in money trouble?

  75. rico says:

London, I am sure you are right, if not we are in dire straight in defence 😦

  76. rico says:

I didn’t London, was he awful?

He just needs a bit of coaching from the master 😉 😉

Upson and Cole would do just nicely Irish..

  77. London says:

I cannot see Wenger signing Dzeco in a hundred years. The mancs put out a makeshift defence last night, our present attack would have made monkeys out of them but he couldn’t which says alot. I don’t think he has the speed or the control to play Wengerball so, yet again, I cannot see this one happening.

  78. Rasputin says:

    Morning Roadsters,

rico, kelsey, London, Irish et al…….

London, seems you know Underhill like the back of your hand 😛

rico, Irish, – I still think its only 50/50 that we’ll sign anyone at all. The more I think about it, the more I’d prefer C Cole to Dzeko although Dzeko is currently scoring at the rate of about 1 goal every 1.3 games!! – he’s untried in the premiership and has expressed a desire to play for one of the ‘Spanish giants’

  79. rico says:

Take your point London, but we need something different up top and he would be a good option, but like rasp, I would prefer a ‘ready made’ premiership player like Cole..

Morning Rasp, will today be verse 2 ? 😉

  80. Irishgunner says:

Carlton Cole is injured till March though or something isn’t he??

Surely Wenger will have to bring in a CB???

  81. rico says:

Just a few weeks Irish, and that was a few weeks ago 😉 😉

  82. London says:

As I said yesterday, I like the logic you guys put forward for signing Cole…..but I still reckon that Wenger is more likely to sign Bojan than someone that is not that much better or not better at all than Bendtner.

  83. London says:

In fact I would say that Bendtner is already better than Dzeko.

  84. Rasputin says:

    Hi Irish,

CC was expected to be out for a month and that is as of a week ago. He could be fit to play from the new year. So far, his career has not been blighted by injury. He is very aggressive in the air, fast and his work rate is phenomenal.

  85. Irishgunner says:

I don’t see Wenger signing someone “long term” because when RvP and Bendtner come back where will they go??

We’ll have RvP, Bendtner, Eduardo, Vela plus new guy and he sees Walcott as a centre forward eventually.

He just needs someone for half a season who is willing to play for a few bob. An Van Nistlerooy, Adriano, Trezeguet etc

  86. Irishgunner says:

Rasp – yep, I never really took much notice of Cole till lately. I think it was last season for WH against Wigan where he finished off a cracking move with a cool as a cucumber finish.

  87. London says:

    Exactly Irish

    I vote for Horse Face

  88. Irishgunner says:

    That’d be odd wouldn’t London?

Emirates next year, Horse face lining out for us and Owen for the Mancs…

  89. London says:

The more I think about it the more it starts to scare me.

  90. rico says:

    James Beatie???? 😉 😉

  91. Rasputin says:

But surely Cesc summed it up yesterday when he said we need a different option up front. None of the players you list are that good at holding the ball up or in the air. To field a side where none of the midfield or strikers can head the ball is like boxing with one hand tied behind your back.

  92. Irishgunner says:

Might as well go for Barton while we’re at it ha ha

  93. rico says:

    As I suggested before

Horsey can take a run and jump!! 😉 😉

  94. London says:

As you say Irish, we just need a stop gap until the end of the season and Horse face would be perfect but I wouldn’t want him here next season, we would have to sell him to City in the summer or something.

  95. Irishgunner says:

What I meant Rasp was someone in that mould – i.e. age and experience, not so much their style of play if you get me.

If we do buy someone different and for keeps then we will have to sell a forward – Eduardo and Bendtner will not be content with the bench or a wing role.

  96. Irishgunner says:

Horse face aside who else would be a good stop gap?

  97. rico says:

    Dean Windass 😉

  98. Irishgunner says:

I was wondering what happened to Barazite – dislocated shoulder, back in the new year.

    Rico – we’ll aim for sub 20 stone 😆

  99. London says:

I agree again Irish, Bendtner and Eduardo would not be happy with a wing role so we either but a Villa and say goodbye to one of them or we buy someone like a Bojan that fits in with them, I am not saying I completely agree with it but I know where my money would go if I had to bet on what Wenger is going to do.

  100. Rasputin says:

I think that is a harsh reality we will have to accept. We have 3 quality left backs, too many ‘clever’ midfielders who prefer to play centrally and none of our strikers are good in the air etc etc. As supporters we have to get used to players coming and going. The next generation on view tonight are only 2-3 years behind their first team counterparts.

Ideally, we’d have a concrete core of about 15 players and then another 10 or so that are good enough to play in the first team.

It seems that I am the only one who thinks we need different options up front (oh and maybe Cesc too 😉 )

  101. peachesgooner says:

    Morning all

    Diaby? 😦

  102. Irishgunner says:

See what you are saying London.

Bojan is a Wenger player but to me he is just like Vela. Too samey for me.

  103. Irishgunner says:

What about Jay Simpson Rasp? Do you think its QPR for him or will he be back?

On Eduardo and Bendtner – they just signed long term contracts so aren’t going anywhere I think. I also think Bendtner will be a smashing forward.

    Morning Peaches, what about Diaby?

  104. peachesgooner says:

Hi rasp – I agree we need a different option up front – we’ll never have a plan B with just the fit players we have at the moment. But IMO Arsene won’t want to pay money for another striker when he has Nikki and Robin to return.

  105. Rasputin says:

Like I said yesterday, contracts are meaningless untill they reach the last 18 months when the power is with the player if they are young/in their prime or the club if they are nearing the end of their career. No club can keep a player these days if he wants to leave irrespective of how long a contract he has.

I think JS would offer us an option perhaps but is not good enough at the moment – he could come through. He’s not that much of a physical presence but he is quick and works hard.

  106. peachesgooner says:

Hi Irish – how are you, been basking on the beach I suppose ….. 🙂

  107. Irishgunner says:

Hi Peaches – if I said yes would you be jealous?

  108. Irishgunner says:

Bellamy has swine flu – so many jokes about Citeh

  109. peachesgooner says:

    Oh so oh jealous 😦 😦 😦

  110. Irishgunner says:

Then yes I have been basking on the beach 👿

Went to a Koala hospital yesterday, poor little yet vicious creatures.

You can always come visit Peaches 🙂

  111. Irishgunner says:

That was meant to be a happy, evil smiley, I’m not mad at you ha ha

  112. peachesgooner says:

Irish – do you think Diaby could be utilised up front in a 4-4-2?

  113. peachesgooner says:

    Its ok I get your drift…. 😛

  114. Irishgunner says:

4-3-1-2 Peaches with him as the “one” behind two strikers.

Or like Eboue was employed behind Arshavin at the weekend – I would try it out in a very unimportant match though. But last season against Fenerbache he played well in behind the strikers.

Diaby would be fine if he stopped trying to think, he should work on instinct.

  115. Irishgunner says:

We had bad thunder and lightening yesterday Peaches if it makes you feel better. Our whole house shook and got it by lightening and it was sheeting down rain – dried up after 30mins though.

  116. Irishgunner says:

Right since there is no-one about I’m off to bed, talk to ye at match time.

  117. rico says:

Essien is out for six weeks, hamstring 😉

  118. Rasputin says:

I’ve heard that Olympiacos are quaking in their boots at the strength and power of the team we’re fielding….. Tom Cruise, Clint Eastmond, Sylvestre Stallone, Vito Corleone… (Kyle Minogue and Susan Wilshere 😉 )

  119. rico says:

    😛 😛 Rasp

  120. rico says:

Blimey its quiet here today 😦

  121. avenell says:

    Hi Roadsters..

Why do we let tossers like this train at our place.. To keep him fit to join our nearest rivals?

The 35-year-old added: “Of course I would love to play for Manchester United , but I am not counting any chickens, just waiting to see what happens. I am training as usual at Arsenal, and would go to train at Manchester United if I was asked.” Said Sol..

  122. Rasputin says:

Bloody right ave, we should send him a bill for £500 per day for using the facilities and tell him to clear his locker 👿

  123. avenell says:

and charge him for a years worth of transfer fee.

  124. Rasputin says:

Unless…… Sol is part of Arsene’s master plan and is there as insurance in case we have injuries to our CB’s and he can be a Sylvestre-type stop-gap ….. how am I doing London? 😉

  125. avenell says:

You don’t drive a split screen Moggie Minor or live in a windmill by any chance?

  126. Rasputin says:

Hold on ave, I’m just shuffling my tarot cards 😛

Bloomin heck, manure are reportedly going to sign Big Sol – if he is training with us and fit he would be a good stop gap if Ebenezer won’t spend…

    😦 😦

  128. avenell says:

The good thing is if Man U want Sol.. It shows they are desperate and skint. 🙂

    Even more than us. 😉

  129. Rasputin says:

Sorry rico 😳 ……. sometimes posts slip under my radar when I’m not around – clearly you are way ahead of ave and myself 😕

  130. avenell says:

I did read that .. but I was responding to Sol’s comments..

    How’s that for a disclaimer?

  131. Rasputin says:

    Slippery ave …..

It is being reported that Song is going to play tonight? I can’t belive we would risk him with pool coming up unless AW has decided that peaches is right and he can’t play Song and Denilson together and Den is the better option.

  132. avenell says:

I heard it first on the radio this morning.. along with a dick head newsreader trying to make Tom Cruise jokes.

I get the feeling he will wish that his parents called him something else.

  133. avenell says:

I think Wenger prefers Denilson.. otherwise he would have left Song on against Chelsea.

I try to understand it, but I can’t.

  134. rico says:

What a smooth couple of dudes you are 😉 😉

  135. rico says:

Good job his name isn’t Duncan Hurt, then he would have a fight on 😉 😉

  136. avenell says:

You could be talking about our heads.. 😦

  137. Rasputin says:

My head’s a solar panel for a sex machine 😉

  138. London says:

I have just read your 3:50, your starting to get the hang of this 😉

  139. Rasputin says:

Ha ha … thanks London … you taught me everything I know 😆

  140. London says:

One small injury to Song and Angola is off the cards. I trust that Essien injury as far as I can throw it.

  141. rico says:

I am very dissapointed that no-one has noticed our snow, I stumbled across it whilst looking at how to cancel all my emails….

London – re Essien, I thought the exact same as you when I heard he was injured, but surely if the chavs played him after a sudden recovery, he could be called to the ACON in any case, couldn’t he??

  142. avenell says:

Yeah it’s snowing again, better than poxy rain I suppose..
Anyway I am off to drop the leading actress off at the school play.. 🙂

  143. rico says:

I meant on AR ave you ungrateful old tinker you 😦
