Club or Country?… Oh Yeah and Today We Play the League Leaders.

Today we play the Chavs, is anyone feeling confident?

I was okay until I heard the news yesterday about our dear striker Robin van Persie who now is out for the rest of the season or as Talk Shite said “ he could even miss the World Cup” who cares about Holland if he plays he will probably not play for us again  until 2011 as he will no doubt get  injured again.

It is a real shame for the lad as his career has been 50/50.  Half the time playing and the other half in the treatment room, I wonder if he regrets playing for his country? He does seem to pick up the majority of his injuries doing so.

In any other business you only work for one employer, in sport it seems there are different rules, a business puts 5 years into a player only to get him to a stage where he is one of the best 11 in his particular country, then that country can say “WE WANT YOU” and there must be a major draw in representing your country because there is only a handful of players I can think of who have ever turned the request down.

Now I know that if you play for your country you can add value to your worth, but that can work both ways for a club.. If they wanted to sell him he would fetch a greater transfer fee, but on the flip side the player can demand higher wages, if he doesn’t get his rise there are plenty more clubs out there who will want an International player, eh Mr Agent!

So is there  an answer to this problem.. Stop the players playing for their country, put a clause in their contract.. What player would do that when the club around the corner will take them on and not put such restrictions on him.

The players are so powerful now, they can command £100k per week, play for their country (for nothing in the case of England) get injured then creep back to the hand that feeds them for their wage packet.
Playing for England and the exposure  for marketing  is a far better way to get rich than anything you can buy off Ebay for a fiver.
Okay what about compensation?  Well I was told only the English FA pay compensation to English clubs, foreign football associations don’t do this for us. Even if they did pay the players wages in January we need another striker now Robin is belly up, so if we sign Chamakh for instance, what do we do with him at the start of the 2010 season? Oh yeah sit him on the bench for 2 ½ years and pay him £70k a week. And what player would want to sign knowing that they will be collecting splinters when our darling is back?

I know it’s down to the player to make the spot his, but we could end up with a situation that Chelsea found themselves in with Wayne Bridge, paying the best two English full backs top dollar.. only one can play in that position.

So if we want the best players to play for us we have to bow down to there needs, there hands are squeezing our proverbial nuts..

We could do a Pay as you Play contract, but Rosicky would have to register as a charity to pay his mortgage. What can you do???

I am hoping that all this RvP news hasn’t done the same for the players moral as it has to some of us fans, I am still going to go with us winning 2-1 as Jonjon said yesterday a draw is okay for pride, but it isn’t going to help us catch the Pensioners at the top.

I have a feeling that we will outplay them like we did in the Carling Cup final all those years ago, only I want us to come away from the game with a different outcome, I am sure there are a few players who have memories of that day and hopefully they will want revenge.

    Morning Roadsters.

    Any team news?
I heard Sagna could move over to left back today…

  2. JonJon says:

    good post ave…top post…

your right at the end of the day its down to the player…and what can you do to stop them…

as i said yesterday in robins case, the lad has been stuck out on the wing for his national team and finally he gets picked as the lead striker…finally he gets a chance to be hollands danger man and follow in the footsteps in some of the greatest players holland and the world has ever seen….friendly or no friendly top players want to be top players for their club and country…robin wasnt going to turn round and say no…nor should we expect him to….

and yes we need to win today…manure won and spurs got a point yesterday to squeeze us back down the table…we need to win to close the gap…we win today and they will be talking about us being title contenders again..anything else and even at this stage of the season i think the title dreams are over for another season…

  3. JonJon says:

    hi ave…

that would be a good move i think..chelsea front line is full of speed and power and silvestre and troare will get turned over at LB

eboue should be ok on the right…put sagna on anelka…

  4. JonJon says:

our away form has been pathetic so far this season…weve already dropped 13 points away from home…which isnt good enough…to counter that we need to keep 100 % at home at turn it into a fortress…which is so far so good…today should be no execption…

  5. JonJon says:

and another reason why we need to win today is that this is the third ‘top 6’ team weve played this season and so far weve won none…

were at home, we need to take the points here…

i said earlier in the season that our title chances depend on us staying strong against the little teams and then picking up some points against the bigger teams…the top teams will all take points off eachother but we cant be the one team who lets them take all the points of us…we will lose games, but at home i expect us to beat them…

  6. Rasputin says:

    Hi Roadsters,

I have friends and family going to the game today. Disturbingly, I am hearing that some season ticket holders may not be going because they are nervous and its crap weather. If ever we need the crowd to get behind the team its today.

We need magic from the little Russian and assertiveness from Almunia. No free kicks near our box. Theo could be key if he gets on the pitch. The first ten minutes and the last ten minutes will be crucial. I take us to win with a late goal – could be 2:1 or 1:0

  7. Freire says:

Hello everyone, good morning. Great post, Ave … the Pay as you Play contract would be perfect, LOL. I know this is impossible in the actual days, but that’s a great idea.

I dont think Chamack would join us knowing that he could sit on the bench for the rest of his life when RVP returns… he’s ambitious, and Bordeaux needs him.

Luck for us today… let’s hope our guys have slept well.

  8. avenell says:

    Thanks guys..

So we are going to win today then?
The crowd should be up for it Rasp, if we can start with some good work ethic that should get the fans on the boys side.

  9. avenell says:

They have only just discovered what the CHANG means on the front of the Everton shirts..
    Nothing to do with beer.
    Can’t Have A New Ground.. 🙂

  10. Rasputin says:

    Hi ave,

Sorry, I forgot to congratulate you on an excellent post 😉

We need the boys to do it for Robin today. Arsene has been an unlucky manager for the last four years – its about time something went our way!

  11. JonJon says:

    lol ave…

i feel a tad sorry for moyes…everton were a club in wilderness and fighting relegation every season before he took over, sort of a sleeping giant…

hes totally turned it round and built a good squad on a shoestring…and now hes been rocked by worse injuries then us and they CHANG and they skint…

he must be thinking he cant take them no further…

  12. avenell says:

I sort of feel sorry for Everton and moyes, but I don’t really understand what they do with there money..

There were as big a club as us in the eighties, if not bigger, there fan base is bigger than Sunderlands, Wigans, Boltons etc
They sell players like Rooney and Leecott and they take revenue out of the Europa Cup , they even had a year in the CL.. yet they keep saying they are skint and hard done by..

  13. JonJon says:

    hi rasp…

your spot on…we need the players to play their best game ever today…for robin for wenger for us for themselves…

lets face it even with injuries we still have a bloody good squad and we have plenty of players who would get into the chelsea squad…

a win would not only improve our chances but also it stops chelsea in their tracks and i think next week they play citeh…

we need to give them smoething to think about going into that game and if they lose that one too we could find ourselves top of the table at xmas…

    we have to win today…

  14. avenell says:

Oh and they get so much more than those smaller clubs for finishing higher in the Prem and they got to a cup final last year..

    Something isn’t right up there..

  15. avenell says:

The Liverpool fans face a dilemma in the new year..

Should they watch there team on a Thursday night on channel 5 and miss there relatives on crimewatch on the other channel?

  16. Rasputin says:

    Hi JonJon,

To quote a range of footballing clichés – its a must win game; its a six pointer; we have to give it 110% – to which I’d like to add … we must spank the arses of those overpaid, knobhead w***kers and shut that pikey scumbag John Terry’s fat mouth

  17. avenell says:

Haha cliche always reminds me of David “kerbcrawler” Pleat commentating..

  18. JonJon says:

it does make you wonder ave doesnt it…whats going on behind the scenes at some clubs…

makes you appreciate having a manager like wenger doesnt it….

even liverpool are in a massive mess and some would argue they are a bigger club than us….

  19. JonJon says:

    lol rasp and ave..

its a ame of two halves…whoever scores the most wins..

  20. avenell says:

Thierry Henry quote… “sometimes in football you have to score goals”

Speaking of which any mention of that cheating scum Dawson and his handball goal yesterday..

As ‘arry says “ask the player”

  21. Rasputin says:

Haha ave – and do you remember that godbotherer Hoddle always over-pronouncing his h’s in an attempt to sound intelligent and referring to Thierry hon-ree

  22. avenell says:

You can take the Spud out of Essex. But you can’t take the Essex out of the Spud.. lol.

He makes me laugh how he prides his managerial skills on wenger because of there time at Monaco..

  23. JonJon says:

speaking of cheats has anyone seen rooneys penalty dive yesterday…

how many times are they gonna let him off…

dudu feels the slightest touch on hi leg hair and goes down and gets persecuted and will probably not win another penaly again this season…

yet shrek goes down over blades of grass time and time again and gets the decision time and agian..

must be a manure thing cos ronaldo was the same

  24. Rasputin says:

Pool winning 1 nil, come on the toffees!!

  25. JonJon says:

everton have been the better team..

    liverpool look a mess..

  26. Rasputin says:

Pool having all their customary luck – should be losing by 2 or 3 by all accounts…..

  27. JonJon says:

    yes rasp..

liverpool have had 10 good minutes so far in the whole match..everton have been by far the superior side and have had the best chances..they are very unlucky..

  28. Rasputin says:

If there’s anyone about, can you put up the team when it is announced … ta 😉

  29. JonJon says:

are you nt watchng the game rasp??

  30. Rasputin says:

No JJ – I’m at work …. naughty boy 😳

  31. Rasputin says:

Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Traore, Fabregas, Song Billong, Denilson, Nasri, Eduardo, Arshavin. Subs: Fabianski, Rosicky, Vela, Walcott, Ramsey, Silvestre, Eboue.

  32. JonJon says:

    lol…i’ll keep u informed buddy

  33. JonJon says:

ashley tweedy starts…i wonder if wenger will play theo

  34. Rasputin says:

The cahvs have put out their strongesrt possible side – what a shame we can never do the same… 😦

  35. Rasputin says:

I keep trying to put up the team but it won’t let me paste…. Traore playing, Theo on the bench…

  36. JonJon says:

    sag gall tv traore
    song cesc den
    nasri dudu aa

  37. JonJon says:

traore is the week link..we need a massive performance today from him

  38. JonJon says:

hes obviously been pickd for his speed

  39. Rasputin says:

The effing bad luck has started….. The spuds and chavs have easy home draws in the FA cup – we’re away to Wham

  40. Irishgunner says:

Anyone else think our Russian is trying to prove something?

  41. Rasputin says:

I’m not watching Irish – is he playing well? – he’s a big game player….

  42. Irishgunner says:

LOL he was when I wrote it looked all fired up giving orders, drifting a bit now. Chelsea on top last few mins.

  43. JonJon says:

    game over…

  44. Irishgunner says:

same old crap defending – Drogba gets in between Gallas and Vermaelen

  45. Rasputin says:

    Game over 😦

  46. Irishgunner says:

    game over now

  47. JonJon says:

    fucking hell

get fucking denilson and troare off and get rocisky and theo on…

    this is bollox….

    no tosser wants to shoot…

  48. Rasputin says:

The chavs know how to win games — we don’t ….

  49. JonJon says:

    that was bolox…

    we dont deserve the title…..

i hope we get fucked 6-0…

  50. JonJon says:

the chavs no where the goal is and not to piss about in the final third..we dont…

  51. JonJon says:

crab football again..i knew this would happen with denilosn and song and troares garbage..absolute garbage..

  52. JonJon says:

    self destrusted again…

  53. JonJon says:

we’ll go on a losing streak now…weve got liverpool coming up we’ll lose that too…

momentums gone…titles over and we are fighting for fourth…

  54. Irishgunner says:

No-one cuts out Cole TWICE, Drogba unmarked for the first and Almunia just standing like a muppet for the second, why not shout and collect????

  55. kelsey says:

i thought we played really well but as usual without the cutting edge.goals change games, and eduardo has lost at least a can’t walk the ball in especially against chelsea.then the inevitavle goal we would have a hanmce but two is a real mountain to climb.

  56. kelsey says:

    have a chance

  57. JonJon says:

coles shagged us on the right…hes running past our midfield like they arent there and sagna keeps letting him cross….

should have played theo from the start and pegged cole back…

dudu cant hold the ball up…

    SONG OFF?????? eh???

  58. Irishgunner says:

NO ARSENE…. bloody take off Denilson not Song muppet muppet

  59. Rasputin says:

Who ever gets 2 goals back against the chavs – playing for pride now. Don’t let AW say this squad has belief – when put under pressure, even the big players crumble….. we’ve forgotten how to win the big games ….

  60. JonJon says:

sagnas been shite as well..cant defend and cant cross…
    been like that all season
    one season wonder…

  61. JonJon says:

now we have a midfield of pygmys

this is going to hurt watching this…

  62. JonJon says:

AA should have it that first time…

    chance gone…

  63. JonJon says:

    and that wasnt a foul..

  64. Irishgunner says:

feck sake Vermaelen is virtually playing CF, its too gung ho they’ll make a meal of us

  65. JonJon says:

we dont really have much choice we need 3 goals..probably 4 cos i see chelsea scoring again…

  66. JonJon says:

i dont even no why we bother to tell sagna to push forward…

  67. JonJon says:

why does it take us to go two down before we start being direct..

  68. JonJon says:

that was a pen..if rooneys was yest that fucking was..

  69. JonJon says:

    you fucking wankers…

  70. Irishgunner says:

  71. Irishgunner says:

    not good enough…..

Chelsea ruin us at home last season so do the mancs in the EPL and happening all over again… tap, tap, tap give the ball away and can’t defend.

  72. JonJon says:

every time we play a big team we get destroyed..

    FFs wigan beat these bastards…

chelsea embarras us at home again…

  73. JonJon says:

our CBs struggle cos our FBs ar outta their depth…
weve got a keeper who cant keep a clean sheet if he was the only player on the pitch and we have no hitman…

AA should fuck off if he dont want to play for us…

  74. Irishgunner says:

    Now for the excuses….

  75. Rasputin says:

Thats it …. I’ve had enough

    Our training staff are shit.

We can’t stop a player being consistently offside
We can’t train a goalkeeper to communicate with the defence
We can’t train any of them to take a decent corner
We can’t train our wingers to put in a decent cross
We train players to pass when they should shoot

Compare the Invincibles with this team and you will see a huge difference. Then, the spine of the team was strong and powerful… now it is weak.

Almunia is simply not good enough.

We overcomplicate the game and have no end product witghout RVP.

At this moment in time, if Arsene resigned tomorrow I wouldn’t be upset.

Gus Hiddink would be able to get these players playing effective football ….Arsene’s a dreamer, he needs to get real and concentrate on the defence and stop being so one dimensional in attack.

  76. JonJon says:

    thats a shocking result..truly shocking….

i bet we go into free fall after this result..heads dropped, our best players seemed uninterested, 11 points behind the leaders already and its not even xmas…
weve lost allour games against our rivals so far…not good enough…

  77. Irishgunner says:

I’m going back to bed that was bitterly disappointing

  78. JonJon says:

    gibbs is our best fullback….

    the rest are shit…

  79. London says:

You just know what the papers will say tomorrow: Two horse race; Cesc off to Spain, Arshavin cannot settle. La la la.

I would like to come out fighting but I just don’t have the strength. I wouldn’t disagree with a single word that Rasputin wrote in his 6:09; well, maybe I would be disappointed if Wenger left but I agree with all the observations about the team; if fact, I think they are insightful…..that is tomorrows post.

  80. London says:

The two goals came down the right side….Traore didn’t have a bad game. That’s not to say I disagree with your Gibbs comment.

  81. JonJon says:

traore wasnt in the game..he was constantly losing his marker and in the build up to the first goal his inexperience showed when he was out by the coener flag and he kicked the ball out under pressure from anelka..if he was aware of TV on the inside the pass would have been the better option, but it looks like he doesnt have a right foot…

and the only time he looked quick was against cavalho..

he was totall out of his depth, saying that, he was much better than sagna…that blokes really doing my head in now..cant cross cant tackle and leaves his CBs exposed to constant cross after cross…

clichy is exactley the same on the left when he plays…

our FBs are supposed to be our outlet on the wings but only one of the has a final ball and thats gibbs….none of them can defend…

gallas and Tv must be pissed off…if they played with proper FBs they would be the best two CBs in the world…they cant defend everything…i pin no blame on either of our Cbs…

our problems are FB and GK… and we need a bloody hitman in january cos none of them can step into rvps shoes….

    dudu had a stinker

  82. JonJon says:

oh and i wanted theo to play the full 90minutes cos his pace would have pegged cole back, which it did..but the boy is shit…for an arsenal player he has absolutley no control..ive seen pub players who play pissed on sundays with better control than him…

  83. kelsey says:

I don’t want to take away your glory, but I have been saying most of what you have written all season.

Do not kid yourself folks even with RVP we would have been hard to get a point.

it’s not the physical side that is wrong,it’s our inability to defend properly.

arshavin is going down in my estimation and the phrase one season wonder applying to Sagna, appears to be coming true.

Will eduardo really ever make it.

    Did theo improve

    Did rosicky change the game

    Does almunia control his area.

We have no plan B and Chelsea have set the benchmark and with a little bit of a run we could be out of everything by January.

One really has to challenge Wenger’s tactics. We are a really good side, but don’t look like making up the gap between us and the top two, purely through lack of quality not quantity in depth.

Disturbing to see Cesc more or less give up nearing the end.

The first goal was always going to be crucial, and we had countless opportunities in the first 30 minutes but without really creating a real chance, or more to the point eduardo being a yard to slow.

    Very disappointing but not unexpected.

  84. JonJon says:

    almunias lost his mojo…

he never has had any comand of his defence and this season its got worse, hes a wimp… its come to the point where he looks like the 5th rate keeper his country knows he is…

  85. JonJon says:

    yep kelsey…cesc gave up…

people moan about our fans leaving 5 minutes towards the end but can you blame them when the club captain looks like he wants to be the first out of the stadium…

    we were spanked today…hard….again…

and when the club captain couldnt give a toss why should the fans..

  86. Rasputin says:

I have no glory I assure you. I too have been saying Almunia is not good enough all season, and if you look back, you will see that I have said repeatedly that we will only stand a realistic chance of winning anything if we are lucky with injuries – the opposite of what has transpired (again!!) I also said about the spine of the team and the need for a balanced side built upon a solid defence.

Any way, we are all suffering equally at the moment, I have no desire to be seen as the principal ‘doom monger’. It would be nice to think that this result would drive our manager/board to consider buying a striker and maybe defender in January – there are some pretty good players up for sale in the RM ‘clearout’ I don’t know what has happened to Dudu, but at the moment he is only half the player he was.

  87. kelsey says:

wrong terminology, we are all gutted.7 goals conceded to chelsea at home in 2 successive matches, speaks volumes.

  88. JonJon says:

dudu lacks confidence…seems the whole divegate issue has screwed with his head and hes also not a lone stiker…

dudu and vela are too similar and niether of them play well when they have to lead the line and without nikki…

  89. Rasputin says:

I said before the game that Drogbreath is the best target man in the business and he proved that today, he has more control with his chest than Theo with both feet – how would we love a player like that in ur side? Huntelaar is having a nighmare of a season so far, but I’d love to know how he’d have fared playing for us…..

  90. peachesgooner says:

Andy Gray has just torn our defending to shreds in the Final Word on sky and hes absolutely right. We don’t defend as a team. He shows that Nasri is at fault for one goal and Arshavin at fault for the other.

Rasps rant at 6.09 is all so true. Arsene is too reliant on the ‘intelligence’ of his players and mostly hes bigged them up to be something that they aren’t. Yes they can play pretty football and yes I love it when they do but the point is to score goals and win games.

Leaving Denilson on in only his second game and taking of Song was a strange decision. I didn’t want to see Song and Denilson playing together anyway.

I’m gutted that neither Theo nor Vela have anything that will change a game. We miss Robin’s contribution all over the pitch.

We must beg borrow or buy a striker in January even if Nikki fills his pink boots when he returns.

Apart from the football I got drenched walking to the game, frozen sat watching and have only just thawed out with a lovely glass of red. Thanks Arsene

  91. peachesgooner says:

    Hello guys

A lot of comments since I started writing about half an hour ago – gonnna have a read

  92. Rasputin says:

Hi peaches, I was lucky being at work today, I feel for you having to suffer that – I know you (like most of the rest of us) secretly feared this would be the outcome, but like most real supporters, you couldn’t bring yourself to say it…… I would stake my house that you stayed right to the bitter end too 😉

  93. JonJon says:

    im off to get pissed..

    ive had a shit week…

  94. David says:

    So Goons.

Is it time for Wenger to move on then?

    Me thinks so.

The Blind man Cannot continue to follow the blind.

    GK —> Gutter Shite

    CF ===> None existent

    Denilson —-> shyte

Eduardo was offsides so many times i thought Ade was playing.

  95. David says:

The Blind man Cannot continue to **lead** the blind.

  96. avenell says:

Evening all.. 😦 what else can you say?

  97. peachesgooner says:

Whats really depressing is that I want to believe that this team is good enough and maybe they would be if the chavs and the mancs weren’t stronger…..too mnay players not able to hack it if the games not going our way.

Chelsea let us play in the first 30 minutes – they weren’t bothered, pretty football that lead to nothing…….

  98. peachesgooner says:

Hi ave – very sad too 😦

  99. Rasputin says:

Hi David – you shouldn’t confuse what we say in the heat of the moment after a defeat that really hurts with a ‘theme’ for the site 😉

  100. peachesgooner says:

Rasp – your house is safe 😉

  101. Rasputin says:

My son said that we did exactly what I was dreading – played about between the centre spot and their box with clever passes going nowhere and eventually one player thought we can’t go on like this and crossed it straight to one of thier defenders. We didn’t hit them at pace (Theo was useless).

I think it is quite simple when you analyse it … we beat most lesser teams because our attacking play is superior and we lose to the better teams because our defensive play is inferior and our attack has no ‘bollox’

  102. London says:

Exactly, Prior to the Sunderland game and RVP’s injury we were not only going to win the league but the CL as well, and even with RVP’s injury many said that the attack is the one area where we had all the cover we were likely to need……Yes, I know it hasn’t turned out that way but it is not as if there was a majority forecasting destruction. So, jump on the bandwagon of doom by all means but don’t say you warned us.

  103. avenell says:

Are you doing a post tomorrow London my old mucker?

  104. avenell says:

Hi Peaches .. How’s your foot?

  105. London says:

Not really Ave, I have to work in the morning and I am not in the mood to criticise the players and everyone of them deserves some stick in one way or another.

  106. avenell says:

    Okay ..

I thought Cesc did pretty well, maybe I am biased what did he do wrong?

  107. London says:

He was the captain, his head went down badly….very badly

  108. London says:

I’m not saying I blame him but I want more, that said if I were him I would be in Wenger’s office on Monday and lay down the fucking law: if you don’t get me someone who is capable of making runs that I can pass to, I am fucking off quicker than you can say Barcelona…the attack was pitiful today.

  109. avenell says:

Thanks.. that’s what I saw.. He tried his heart out and in the end just got frustrated, with himself as much as anything.

  110. London says:

That’s a better way of putting it.

  111. London says:

    And accurate at that.

He just had no one to pass to, no one was making a run for him to thread it to. Eduadro was as potent as a wet sheep.

  112. London says:

I don’t think that Wenger is decided between Eduardo or Vela and I doubt that he cares: the first one that works out how to play with Cesc gets the job.

  113. London says:

Ok, I’m talking to myself, see you all tomorrow.

  114. avenell says:

Nah you wasn’t, I am printing a few shirts in between blogging..

    Goodnight anyway..

  115. peachesgooner says:

Hi London – sorry to see you were talking to yourself.

What you said about Arsene being undecided between Dudu and Vela makes a lot of sense. I don’t understand why he doesn’t use the experience of Arshavin more in the middle of the three ………

  116. peachesgooner says:

Thanks for asking about my foot ave, its very sore now 😦

  117. avenell says:

Oh no.. when is betterness going to come?

  118. London says:

Peaces, I think he will, Arshavin moved into the middle at the end and was better; this stone also kills a second bird in as much that Arshavin has been moaning about being out on the left….well, now he can play where ever he wants.

  119. London says:

By the way, my 8:52 was in response to David.

I just read a couple of season ticket holders couldn’t be bothered to turn up……..tossers.

Ok, now I am really going before I start.

  120. Rasputin says:

Thanks London, I assumed that was the case … AR provides a wonderful vehicle for me (and others) to let off steam (protecs the cat 😉 ) but those who know me realise that I am proud of our club and its achievements – but one can’t help but be frustrrated on occassion!

  121. peachesgooner says:

Betterness – who knows when it will come? The physio doesn’t thats for sure – so now I can see the problem with expecting the physio to know when something is going to get better 🙂

I think we really need to keep Arshavin happy – I don’t approve of him shooting his mouth off to the press – but he is a bundle of talent and hes not getting the chance to shine for us.

  122. peachesgooner says:

What did Arsene say about the performance? I’m almost afraid to ask…..

  123. avenell says:

I like that London.. Nasri to the right.. Rosicky to the left.
Song and Fab in the centre and still room for a Wenger lovechild somewhere.

  124. avenell says:

Peaches.. he sort of blamed the ref..

I hope that was for the press only..

  125. peachesgooner says:

Well I have to say I thought the ref must’ve had a nice fat russian envelope in his back pocket……

  126. avenell says:

It wasn’t his fault Peaches.. he could have shared out the cards a bit more fairly, but he got most decisions right.. In fact they could have had a penalty when Sagna dragged down Anelka..

  127. peachesgooner says:

Can’t find my glasses – be back in a minute

  128. Rasputin says:

I’m off to bed to try to forget Roadsters – nite all 😉

  129. avenell says:

Yeah me too night.. I started a post but it was a bit too aggressive.. I need to think about it..

    So goodnight all..

  130. London says:

    Change of Post.
