i think it would be a nice thing for such a person to catch… and we can all laugh… well i will any way…

  7. JonJon says:

    LMAO kelsey….

  8. London says:

    Just trying to help Jonjon

  9. kelsey says:

The Adebayor story, is a bit like Looking Through The Keyhole.

At the end of last season he was dropped,no doubt about that, and I believe Wenger was either told or said to tell him and his agent that if the right offer came along,it would be better for both paries if he left.

I am not sure, but at the time City were still owned by the Thai guy, so even though they seem to have a lot of attacking options,I am somewhat surprised they came for him now, even with endless amount of cash behind them..

Now we revert to our most successful period, without a so called target man, based on the way we play best and so do the CL champions Barcelona.

I don’t envisage seeing us buying another attacker with a fit eduardo and Rosicky as well, but I still have a hunch we will go for Hageland.

  10. Irishgunner says:

I think Jon Jon secretly misses him πŸ˜‰

  11. JonJon says:

    terribly irish terribly…

    sorry london…

  12. JonJon says:

peaches do you want it taking down???

london do you want the last bit removed???

  13. JonJon says:

    there….everyone happy??? πŸ˜‰

i dont really like it…doesnt have the same ring to it.. πŸ˜‰

  14. Irishgunner says:

Its a bit short, I’m not happy πŸ˜†

  15. peachesgooner says:

Oh I meant to tell you that there was a guy wearing a Huntelaar 25 shirt at the game today hehehehehehe

  16. JonJon says:

    peaches was it huntelaar???

  17. peachesgooner says:

Once I’m in the comments I forget about the head-line post – don’t all nod sagely like that πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  18. peachesgooner says:

I hope not – he was about 40 with a beer gut πŸ™‚

  19. Irishgunner says:

This better be Daily Mail twisting.

He’s not your player any more Arsene, stop making excuses for him.

Does AW not realise he was disrespecting him too?

  20. JonJon says:

    what does sagely mean??

  21. peachesgooner says:

… did make us laugh though………

  22. peachesgooner says:

Like you agree with what I’m saying and you know its really true cos you’re all much cleverer than me – in the nicest possible way πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  23. JonJon says:

i dont care what they write about him irish..hes a citeh player…it dont matter now.. πŸ˜‰

  24. Irishgunner says:

I think Huntelaar’s price would have to come down (which it won’t) for us to have a chance.

  25. JonJon says:

    ohhhhh.. πŸ™‚

sagely…that should go in the terminology…

  26. Irishgunner says:

I wanna got to the Arsenal vs Citeh match next season, I wanna go and cheer when he’s offside – if he plays that is.

  27. JonJon says:

i dont think we need another striker..nikkis gonna step up and eddies gonna get the goals…

    25mil… sounds good…i hope he spends it…

  28. Irishgunner says:

A tackling midfielder and if he wants another defender and ship out one or two that don’t look like making it and we are sorted.

Although David Villa would be nice πŸ˜†

  29. JonJon says:

the next few weeks are gonna be interesting…

  30. Irishgunner says:

“I am very happy, very pleased to be here. I signed for Manchester City because I think they are a team that needs players like this.

“We are here to achieve, we will take it from here and see what we can do. I have to fight for this club now, show that I want to bring trophies to this club.

“(The manager and the chairman said) that maybe in one or two years Man City could be one of the best teams in the world.

“This season I would love for us to be in the top four. We know it is not going to be easy.”

Ade – you WERE in a TOP FOUR side and never bothered your arse fighting to win trophies last season, plum!!

  31. raif says:

his gone his finally fucking gone.

  32. JonJon says:

hiya raif….yes dont you feel relieved???

  33. raif says:

i feel so great its un-real.

to me it feels just as Great as signing a new player πŸ™‚

  34. JonJon says:

thats exactly how i feel raif….

it feels like when you have been feeling like shite for months…and you wake up early one morning and have a massive tidy up of the house….

you throw out all the rubbish and the house is clean and you feel better….

ades the rubbish and the house is the team and it all feels so much better….

  35. JonJon says:

oh yeah…and rosickys back from stacking shelves in asda…..he says elvis and jacko said hi…

  36. raif says:

  37. JonJon says:

who would you like to see come in raif???

  38. raif says:

Alonso, Klass Hunter, Akinfeev, Hangeland, Flamini or Cana, or maybe Veloso if the last 2 is not a option aswell

  39. JonJon says:

well weve got 25mil raify boy…id have either flamini or veloso..whoevers cheaper…and id take hangeland for a swap deal with senderbramble and silvestrecrap…..then id buy the hunt…..

i dont think we need a keeper..unless wenger can get that thieve bloke on the cheap..delboy style..

  40. raif says:

Hmm ill only get a Keeper if a really good one came on the market. as there is other parts of the team id rather add to..

  41. JonJon says:

    like midfield…..

i reckon wenger should take that 25mil to the madrid jumble sale and bring back a couple of players like the hunt and the sneijd….

then use a few fringe players to broker a deal for veloso and hanglider….

  42. raif says:

hmmm i agree.. as our Midfield needs some brain surgery lol

  43. JonJon says:

or some good furniture players… πŸ˜‰

  44. raif says:

good furniture players indeed JonJ.. πŸ˜‰ LMAO

  45. raif says:

we need the reliable tools that come with Battries

not the tools that require you to make the Battries before use

  46. JonJon says:

    hahaah raif

like having the remote control car in the world but you havent got the remote control……

  47. raif says:

    HAHAHA.. to right

  48. raif says:

Hmmmm after listening to that This is what i think will happen..

Wenger Wont Buy a Striker.. as he Mentions AK47 could play as a striker,

he “May” look to strengthen else were in the team.

thats if he actully does decide to buy, which if he does it will be After a few weeks or So after Monday when all the boys come back for to pre season

  49. JonJon says:

    a cm at least raif…

we need a cm…maybe wenger will surprise us and sign a few

  50. raif says:

i hope so Jon.. i cant see us doing anything by just buy one CB

  51. JonJon says:

    i know….

i think it makes it abit better that we have tomas and dudu back but i wont be happy if we start the new season making a 17mil profit on transfers….

when your trying to close an 18point gap on the season before it just deifes logic…

  52. raif says:

    Hmmmm i agree..

tho i can see maybe 1 or 2 more players going out
and probably 2 more comming in.

    so we Hope..

if we do get another CB. that would give us

Vermin, Toure, Gallas, Senderos, JD, Silvest, Song, i dont see them all Staying..

  53. JonJon says:

cos of the ACN we’ll lose song eboue and kolo from the defence so if a defender leaves another defender will come in i think….

i dont think he’ll let anyone from the midfield go….but i reckong he’ll buy another…..

    so whats that…one more out…two in….???

  54. raif says:

yeah that sounds about right… i think maybe Wengers trying to Haggle a Deal for Henger, give Sender on top with a little bit of money.

i dont want that Striker we are ment to be after as he will be going to the ACN aswell. not that we will miss him as we have alot of strikers already but its just not logical to buy a African in ACN year time

  55. JonJon says:

i dont want him cos i think hes shit raif….

hes 25 and only scored 40 something goals in 7 years and 200 games…thats shite….

and 15 goals for morroco in 50 games…thats shite too

    thats not a goalscorer…

if we want a goalscorer we want someone like the hunt…

  56. raif says:

totally agree 100% i was going to carry on saying he seemd shit to me aswell LOL..

the guy is a (1 in 4) kind of striker..

the Hunter is a (1 in 2) thats what we need

  57. JonJon says:

    Years Club Apps2 (Gls)2
    2002–2004 PSV 1 (0)
    2003 β†’ De Graafschap (loan) 9 (0)
    2003–2004 β†’ AGOVV (loan) 35 (26)
    2004–2005 Heerenveen 46 (33)
    2005–2008 Ajax 92 (76)

    National team3
    2004–2006 Netherlands U-21 22 (18)
    2006– Netherlands 23 (13

just looked the hunt up raif….

i reckon hes even better than a 1 in 2

  58. JonJon says:

hes like a hunter, raif in front of goal…

  59. raif says:

yeah i was checking his stats out few weeks back.. his goals record is awsome to the number of games plaid..

it even beats Rud Van Horse face’s when he was playing for PSV.

  60. JonJon says:

thats it then ive decided i want Le Hunter!!!!

put him in front of rosick, AA and cesc and weve got our lethalness….

  61. raif says:

His a KLASS HUNTER JonJ my Man!!!

  62. raif says:

if we did get him i may even get that on the back of my shirt

  63. JonJon says:

    what have stutgart offered 17mil???

    we could match that….

enough left over for a cm

  64. JonJon says:

    Le Hunter Du Klass.

  65. raif says:

i thought it was 18 to 29 mil???

either way im sure Real would sell him for at least 15mil

  66. JonJon says:

well i know he doesnt really want to go to stutgart cos hes stalling…

so if we move quick we can nabb him and all his goals….

  67. raif says:

yeah i hope so.. as i dont want the Yids to buy him.. Fuck that for a Laugh

  68. raif says:

Right JonJ mate im off to bed.. Night fella

  69. London says:

    Morning all

I can’t take this Huntelaar to Stutgart deal seriously, I mean Stutgart? Huntelaar is better than that. I have just read the late night chat and I can understand why you like him Jonjon. I certainly agree that he seems to be the best goal scorer available.

  70. kelsey says:

    Morning London,

Having seen and read the various quotes from Wenger last night,he is being as diplomatic as ever, when he says he is not entertaining the thought of bringing anyone else in.

I believe for around 10million we will buy Chamakh if any striker, though a CD or CM would be my preference.

Final word on Adebayor,he had many faults on the pitch, but nevertheless his scoring ratio was above average.he believed he was better than he was,and all the negativity about him has been gaining momentum for a year now due to live interviews he gave which contradicted themselves, together with a drive by his agent for Ade to get a so called better deal, and as far as I know,it is better for both parties that he is gone.

He will have to justify his wages and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a reasonable seaso, providing he learns from this experience.

I believe if the 25million is correct, that is the most we have ever got for a player.

Regardless,he is now gone, and my belief is that it will make for better team bonding, though that doesn’t neccessarily mean better results.

No word about gallas,Toure,Eboue,Silvestre and Senderos, so one can only presume they will all be staying.

I am not worried about the attacking options, especially with a fit Rosicky and Eduardo, but I am still concerned about our inability to defend set pieces, and that could be the key to our season/it has to improve, and hopefully with fewer injuries,we will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

  71. London says:

    Morning Kelsey

I find it difficult to guess what is going to happen in the tranfer window. I know that the Madrid summer sale hasn’t started yet but will do soon and there will be some good bargins to be had there.
I am so relieved that the Ade saga is finally over, it had all got so disruptive and I agree as you say it will make for better team bonding.
I also agree that the lack of defensive height is a concern although the lack of attacking height will force the team to play Wengerball…it will be our only option, which is no bad thing as we got an exciting glimpse yesterday of what we have to come with the super fast inter play between Rosicky and Arshavin and of course when we add Fabregas to that the prospect becomes mouth watering.

  72. kelsey says:

The two most successful teams in the last year have been Spain and Barcelona,(remembering Torres was used sparingly). We are at our best playing wengerball, which is not too disimilar to the above mentioned teams.just maybe one Viera type player is what we need,to complete the picture, but where is that person ?

  73. JonJon says:

    morning guys..

yeah london..i agree i cant take Le Hunt Du Klass move to stutgart serious either…and i dont think he can himself….

stutgart made the bid about a week ago and madrid accepted but hes not moved…

he knows his times up at madrid but he knows hes better than stutgart….hes holding out….

and rvp wanted the club to show ambition before he signed…he signed for a reason….maybe its cos Le Hunt Du Klass is on his way…

  74. raif says:

    Morning Blag Fans..

The Hunter And RVP i hear are really good mates,, also take into account the Vermin was his Captin at Ajax.

so im sure he would jump at the chance to come to us.
its all down to wenger and if he wants to put the cash up for him.

which i kind of feel you dosnt want you. Come on we all know he loves rading the french Teams for his players. that some times seems its his only source of transfers.

  75. JonJon says:

    hi raif….

yeah he’ll be trawling france for a bargian…but i think LE Hunts a bargain at that price…

  76. raif says:

i mean Blog…. sorry im still tired i just got up

  77. raif says:

well there was talk of some DM who plays in face but nothing has been said of him for ages,, and ofcourse we got that striker from Bordeaux we are ment to be looking at,

what i dont get is if they want Silvest in the deal i would throw him in.. but just try to lower the amount of cash given

  78. JonJon says:

i wouldnt even lower the cash raif….id just throw silvestre in the deal without them knowing….

abit like when you go to footlocker and you buy some new treads and they throw a magazine in the bag….

you dont really want the mag….but its free so you dont bother stopping them….

we should by someone..and just throw silvestre in the bag…

  79. raif says:

i would give Silvest and Senderos in a deal for Henger

  80. JonJon says:

sky are saying we are bidding 7mil for martins…

  81. raif says:

Nooooooooooooooooooooo Not that Sack of shit

  82. JonJon says:

get this raif….ade said he turned down the offers of both barca and milan…it was never about the money he always wanted to play for citeh and he wants to win trophies????????

    what the Carling cup????

  83. JonJon says:

hes turned down an offer from the best team in europe who win trophies for fun to go to a club that hasnt won a trophy in decades….

and he left to win trophies??????

  84. JonJon says:

    your the dumbest person

    football ever saw….

    we gave you a payrise

    but you wanted more…..

  85. raif says:

HAHAHAHAH thats cracked me right up.. More like they gave him shity deals and City was silly enough to give him what he wanted..

or even better Milan and Barca never even tried to buy him. lol

  86. JonJon says:

you couldnt make it up could you raif…

im glad hes stayed in the PL… gotta admit he makes you laugh…just that it wasnt funny when he was wearing the red and white….

im guna piss myself watching him in the sky blue…

  87. JonJon says:

i’l tell you what mate, i like the look of that eden hazard kid

  88. raif says:

let me guess he plays in france right? lol

    he looks tasty indeed tho.

  89. JonJon says:

hahaha…yeah he plays for lille i think

    belgian though….

  90. raif says:

so Man city are now looking to sort out there back line.. whats the chances of them comming in Toure again..

im asuming thats if they dont get Lescot & Terry

  91. JonJon says:

they wont get terry and everton have told them they give them 30mil for lescott….

lescott said he’ll only leave if everton get an offer they cant refuse….

kolos out of contract next summer too raif so it wouldnt surprise me if kolo was moved on….i cant seee wenger letting someone kolos age leave on a free….

  92. raif says:

its a touchy one aint it.. we either give him a 3 year deal of somthing or we shift him on other wise we will lose him on a free.

if we do get another center back then expect Gallas or Toure to be moved on, even if Senderos goes or stays.

  93. JonJon says:

gallas and senderos contracts are up as well next summer….

    its a bit of a tricky one…

  94. raif says:

Sign them up now or move them along soon as possible. we need to get as much cash for them i say..

as over the many years we have let alot of players leave on a free.

  95. JonJon says:

i can see gallas just letting his contract run down….

but i cant see phil signing a new one either so fuck knows what wenger will do….

  96. raif says:

    Sol Campbell,
    Robert Pires,

all them and maybe more went on a free. how much do you think we could have got if we sold them a year earlier

  97. JonJon says:

    not much for the oldies….

but we could of got a bit for edu and flamini….

we wouldnt of even let them go if we’d of signed them up…..they were good players..

  98. raif says:

i agree, i really Liked Edu, and Flamini, they were both good work horses.

tho i see what you mean about the oldies, but my point as at least we would have got somthing for them in the end. Β£1mil at the very least for some of them.

  99. JonJon says:

yeah its always better to get at least something….

but i think in rays, pires and sols case they deserved a free move to get as much as they could from the next deal….

after all they did for us for the sake of a mil it was only fair to give them a free and make it easier to find a new club….

  100. avenell says:

    Morning Raif/Jonjon..

Ah but would you have rather had Bobby Pires for a year, or a million pounds?

Flamini would have only fetched Β£3 mill if we had sold him to Brum.. but he nearly won us the title..

  101. JonJon says:

    morning sleepy head… πŸ˜‰

yeah id rather have kept pires for another year than sell him early….

in fact id rather have give him 2 years instead of one…

  102. raif says:

mm ur right JonJ when u put it like that,

Hey Ave,, i would have liked to have Bobby for one more season

  103. avenell says:

If it was good enough for DB10 it should have been good enough for Bobby..

he would have got a second or a third year anyway..

  104. avenell says:

Raif … but you cannot cash in on players and keep them..

Arsenal have a wage budget of about 43% of turnover that is about Β£100 million.. and we have to spend it the best way possible..

If a player signs for Β£10 million on a 4 year deal.. we have to accept we will lose Β£2.5 million a year.. it’s in the budget.. So after the 4th year he can walk..

  105. raif says:

oh yeah i know about cashing in and keeping them

the rest about the budget tho was a bit over my head there lol..

  106. raif says:

but i get what u mean

  107. JonJon says:

i would of loved to have seen pires finish his career with us….

  108. avenell says:

Raif .. for instance.. Flamini was out of contract..

If we gave him a five year deal on Β£100,000 a week that is Β£5 million a year for 5 years…. Β£25 million in wages..

Or we could have signed a player for Β£15 million..

that would only leave Β£10 million to pay his wages..

Β£40,000 a week…. if we pay more than that we would be losing out..

That is why Flamini got stiched up by Arsenal and not the other way around..

  109. JonJon says:

    well put ave…

  110. avenell says:

And we wouldn’t have disrupted the team.. or have to have waited 6 months for a new player to bed in..

    Flamini was a win,win,win..

  111. JonJon says:

see we wouldnt give flamini what he deserved….but now its going to take 15 mil plus the wage flamini wanted to replace him….

so really by letting flamini go we did oursleves out of 15mil

  112. raif says:

ahhh yes im with you now.. Makes Perfect sense..

  113. JonJon says:

flamini was a slag who went back on his word that he publicly came out and told all arsenal fans he was staying that time, remember??? it was that time when he came on tv and said he was staying….he told us he promised…..that time you must remember he told us…

yet ade was a true gent and a class act and good luck to him…. πŸ˜‰

  114. Rasputin says:

    Afternoon Roadsters,

What’s happening? has Ade left yet?…

    Only joking πŸ˜› πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

AW’s being his usual cautious self over possible replacements

  115. avenell says:

    Afternoon Rasp.. working today mate?

  116. JonJon says:

hi rasp…the crickets going to plan.. πŸ™‚

    ade makes me laugh…

he turned down barca to play for city and win trophies… LMAO

im so glad hes still in the PL…this is going to be funny…

  117. raif says:

right guys im off for a bit.. i feel like a bit of boxing on Fight Night Round 4

  118. JonJon says:

    seeya raify boy

  119. Rasputin says:

    Hi ave,

Yes I’m at work. Sorry I’ve not contributed much lately … been doing stuf for my kids …..

    I see London’s back – that’s good for debate..

  120. avenell says:

    Haha yeah sometimes.. πŸ˜‰

  121. Rasputin says:

Does anyone know what it would cost to get Flamini back? – not that Monsiuer Le Stubborn would entertain the deal 😦

  122. JonJon says:

i reckon we could nab him for less than 10mil…

we should give milan diaby and 5 mil

give fulham senderos and 5 mil for hanglider and use the rest on LE HUNTER DU KLASS…

  123. avenell says:

The problem with getting Flamini back I sort of went over earlier..

We would have to pay him the wages now as if he was on a free.. (To match Milan) plus we would have to pay a transfer fee..

Perhaps the solution is to get him on loan..

The problem with that one good season and Milan could sell him where ever..

Where does Song and Denilson fit in then??

I’m having my own row now, I don’t need London.. lol

  124. Rasputin says:

Yes JonJon, I’d like to let Diaby go, I think his game is better suited to the pace of european football, I’d take both those deals although I’m surprised you think Flamini would be valued so highly – its matching his wages that would be the stumbling block again.

  125. JonJon says:

its like ave said maybe we can get him on a loan…???

  126. Rasputin says:

Who you rowing with ave? – ‘er indoors πŸ˜‰

You’re both right… getting on loan WITH an option to buy after a year would be a great plan….

  127. avenell says:

Are you Gazidis in disguise?.. that’s a plan..

  128. avenell says:

I was just trying to work out if you would need to be in disguise as I don’t know what you look like anyway.. where am I??

  129. JonJon says:

    so thats sorted…

    flamini back on loan…

    senderos for hanglider…

big money move fo Le hunt

  130. Rasputin says:

    I look like Zorro ave…..

JonJon – you’re a big fan of the ‘king of the bicycle kick’. He has the same ‘throw the kitchen sink’ attitude as TV in terms of getting the ball in the back of the net…. bugger finesse, I don’t care how I score as long as……..

  131. JonJon says:

    wrighty was the same….

just gimme the ball and i’ll smash it in the net….

  132. JonJon says:

not gimme the ball and i’ll run over here and pass it back to denilson who will give it to gallas who will give it to almunia….

and we’ll do it all over again and we look pretty…

  133. avenell says:

Do you take the mask off at work??

  134. Rasputin says:

I got rid of my stache in the 80’s πŸ˜‰

  135. JonJon says:

did you look like magnum pi???

tom sellecks tash was the best..

  136. avenell says:

Not as good as the one on that Cornish geezer, in the self sufficiency programes.. I might grow one like him.. πŸ˜‰

  137. JonJon says:

    remember graham gooches????

    what about merve hughes rasp???

  138. Rasputin says:

Is that the ‘green’ nutcase looks like a walrus ave?

    I quite like Ann Widdicombe’s tache…….

  139. avenell says:

Yeah that’s him.. There is still a few about..

Barbour jackets, Quiksilver trousers and wellies..

  140. Rasputin says:

I can’t think of a single prem player with a stache – you only have to look at pool in the 80’s to see past players with face fungus

  141. Evo in Oz says:

    ding dong you bloody beauty!

  142. avenell says:

I was trying to think of some ex gooners… Seaman and Sunderland spring to mind.. Oh and Sansom.. Must be a “S” thing..

  143. avenell says:

Hi Evo.. yeah Wengers got Β£25 mill in his sky… That makes him dangerous.. We will be linked to anyone with a pulse..

  144. JonJon says:

    wenger with 25mil…

mmmmmm…sounds to good to be true…he wont know what to do with it….

  145. peachesgooner says:

Hi kelsey – how are you? That is a bit of a moustache πŸ™‚

  146. peachesgooner says:

    Hi peeps

I’ve had a response from the nice people at The Times about the Fantasy Football. We can have our own league of between 5 and 20 teams. Each person can have up to 4 teams per email address.

We have to decide if we want to pick our own players or have them generated by the computer. It looks like picking our own could be a complete nightmare as we can’t actually meet up and do it all at the same time.

Because we will have our own league a player can only appear for a team once thats why compiling the teams is often done down the pub – bit difficult for us πŸ™‚

Let me know whether you’re unhappy about having computer generated teams and I’ll see what P*dro does in case theres another option.

  147. Rasputin says:

    Hi peaches,

I like the idea of letting the computer pick the players because if it doesn’t we’ll all be after Arsenal players and that could be the kiss of death to their season….. (not that I’m at all superstitious). The only thing is then that it comes down to just luck and no skill so it the winner can’t claim to be a better ‘manager’

  148. JonJon says:

i wanted to pick my own players…

    JonJons Seaside Donkey 11

    G.Neville, bramble, senderos, bale

    eboue, huddlestone, nzogbia

    zamora, adebayor, bellamy

    id piss myself if i won…. πŸ˜‰

  149. London says:

Can someone tell me what Flamini would bring to the table that Rosicky can’t?

Attacking threat? No, Rosicky is better
Link up play? No, Rosicky is better
Partner Cesc? No, Rosicky is better
Captain material? No, Rosicky is better
    Passing? No, Rosicky is better
    Wages? No, Rosicky is better
    Tackling? Not better that Rosicky
Aerial defence? Not better than Rosicky

So why this continued romantic obsession?

  150. avenell says:

    Morning London..

Without going into arguing about each point..

Isn’t there room in the side for Rosicky and a Flamini?
    Two quality players.

You don’t need to compare him to Rosicky.. he needs to be compared to Song and Denilson..
And apart from Songs heading ability Flamini pisses over those two in every dept.

  151. JonJon says:

    morning london

    thats easy…

flamini does the basics better than rosicky…by nature rosicky is an attack minded player…..i reckon he loves to show off his flair rather than spend a whole game running from box to box….

flamini does the donkey work…and likes to do it…hes not a flair player and his energy levels are much higher….

every team needs the correct balance….flamini brings that balance….

besides…you want a player like rosicky ready for the counter attack….its a player like flamini that helps start off the counter attack….

  152. avenell says:

And unfortunately rosicky averages 10 games a season..

Can you be a top 4 club with your CM not playing??

  153. peachesgooner says:

Morning London and ave(blimey you’re up early) πŸ™‚

I don’t think Rosicky is the player to play along-side Cesc in mid-field – he should be roaming free to cause damage shouldn’t he – doesn’t he prefer to play on the wing?

  154. avenell says:

I’ve been up earlier than this before..

  155. peachesgooner says:

Anyway its romantic but unrealistic to think that Flamini is going to be an Arsenal player again – I would love it if he was though πŸ˜₯

  156. JonJon says:

id rather have a player like flamini who knows how to protect his defence and win the ball and give it to a player like rosicky to counter with……..than a player like denilson who gives the ball to gallas or a player like rosicky who wins the ball and gives it to walcott

  157. peachesgooner says:

    …..and look how crotchety you are… πŸ˜‰

  158. JonJon says:

    morning guys…

  159. peachesgooner says:

    ave – why aren’t you in blue……..

  160. Irishgunner says:

    Morning all,

Who are we buying with all our money then?

  161. peachesgooner says:

    Morning JonJon

London did you see my bit about the Fantasy football

  162. avenell says:

Dunno, I was ealier and I am logged in..

  163. Irishgunner says:

This Matuidi bloke is meant to be very Flamini-like

  164. avenell says:

Football is the game.. were all together.. and winning is..

  165. London says:

Why compare Flamini to Denilson and Song? That is one reasons for making the point. Rosicky has all their skills put together and more.

As to whether there is room for two quality players, I’m suggesting we already have everything that Flamini has to offer; money would be better spent on qualities we don’t have.

  166. avenell says:

Morning Irish.. we don’t need him then we have rosicky.. πŸ˜‰

  167. peachesgooner says:

    Hi Irish

Those aussies are very quiet this morning – mind you it could still go horribly wrong πŸ™‚

  168. JonJon says:

    two different players london….

its like telling chelsea to drop essien for deco and play kevin keegans football of lets win every game 6 goals to 5…

  169. avenell says:

London.. because that’s where they all play next to Cesc..

Rosicky is a playmaker.. who tracks back.. the ideal player for wengerball when the LB is overlapping..

  170. Irishgunner says:

Morning Avenell – Rosicky would be wasted in the center imo, he likes been out on the wing and tucking in from time to time. He is good defensively though. Nasri would be better suited to the middle.

Peaches – Aw yes this Ashes thingy and I had thrown my lot in with the Aussies and all (not that I’ve a clue what is going on) πŸ˜€

  171. peachesgooner says:

    ave – how could you……on a gooner site πŸ˜†

How are you sweet one – have I missed your birthday good and proper now πŸ™‚

  172. JonJon says:

    hi peaches..yeah i saw it….

i’ll do what ever the majority want to do but i wanna pick my own really…..

  173. avenell says:

I was just about to type in Nasri would be better.. but then I was unsure .. I’d like to see him given a try there but I would rather he was first choice Right Midfield..

  174. peachesgooner says:

I might have to go off in a huff……

  175. avenell says:

I’ve replied to you twice Peaches.. bad day??

Yeah you have missed it … good I hate birthdays..

  176. JonJon says:

i agree its a romantic veiw to get flamini back….

but our midfield needs a flamini type player or the system goes to pot…

  177. Irishgunner says:

I saw we play a midfield of Rosicky, Nasri, Fabregas and Arshavin.

Opposition can’t get the ball they can’t score πŸ˜€

  178. London says:

Well that didn’t take me long to get this channel going again.

At first sight it does seem easy…but it is not.

Just because Rosicky has better attacking attributes doesn’t mean that he cannot shield the defence as well as Flamini. The Frenchman just lacks all the other skills that Rosicky posses and therefore is wrongly compared to Denilson and Song.

  179. avenell says:

Irish.. and get Flamini back on loan.. 4-5-1.. pukka

  180. Irishgunner says:

Matuidi is a flamini type player apparently (thought it was worth saying it twice)

  181. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – I saw that you’d like to pick-your-own and I’ll see if theres a way that we can. What they said is that in a small league like ours ideally everyone would get together with their choice of players and fight off anyone who wanted one of their own.

It could make for interesting blogging if we did it that way – I’ll provide the wine πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  182. Irishgunner says:

    Who is the “1” avenell?

    Eduardo? Bendtner? RvP?

  183. avenell says:

London…. have you noticed that Arshavin isn’t as good in goal as Almunia??

He has all the skills 2 arms and all that.. πŸ™‚

  184. London says:

    Morning Peaches dearest

I did see your fantasy football but I am not a player, never have been. I enjoy the way I boyishly follow Arsenal and for that same boyish reason I could never bring myself to wish a player of another team well which is what I believe happens in fantasy football games.

  185. London says:

Ave, did you notice that Gibbs can play full back even though he was a winger?

  186. Irishgunner says:

Peaches – may I make a suggestion for how the players should be picked if that is the way it’ll be done?

I think its only fair to do it in order of age – so youngest picks first πŸ˜‰

  187. avenell says:

Irish.. probably Bendtner at the momment.. need height somewhere in the team..

  188. peachesgooner says:

Irish – I’ve heard that Matuidi is a Flamini type player πŸ™‚

  189. avenell says:

Not has good as Flamini though London.. he took us to the CL final in the tightest defence ever in the competition..

  190. avenell says:

Also Flamini put an energy into the team that was sadly lacking last season..

We need to defend as a unit like Barca do when they lose the ball..

  191. JonJon says:

i know london well done you woke everyone up with that one….

would of been a good post…

i know what your saying london…rosicky is a better all round player and he can shield he defence when needed but id rather him up the other end of the pitch than back defending all the time….

the reason why hleb, cesc, and rosciky was so successful is because they had a flamini playing in the middle of them all….

they got back and helped when required….but a flamini type player does the role of 2 men making their jobs easier….they dont want to be defending their own box…they want to be attcking the oppenents…

its one of the reasons our midfield looked so shit at times last season….before we had flam doing 2 mens jobs and being good at it….last year we had denilson and song doing 1 mans job and the whole team suffered…

  192. peachesgooner says:

Well done Irish, excellent plan πŸ™‚

Oh London – can’t we put you in anyway to make up the numbers πŸ™‚

  193. Irishgunner says:

I’m glad you heard that too Peaches as it seems to passed by others πŸ˜€

  194. avenell says:

    Irish I replied at 10.41..

  195. Irishgunner says:

    Barca type defending like this?

  196. JonJon says:

its ok peaches ive already picked my players i dont think anyone will be fighting me over JonJons seaside donkey X1

  197. peachesgooner says:

I agree JonJon – Flamini was super-charged and although I’m sure Rosicky could do that job hes too good at influencing play further up the pitch…..

    Is Flamini coming back……

  198. Irishgunner says:

So you did – apologies Avenell πŸ˜‰

  199. London says:

The obsession with comparing Denilson and Song with Flamini is self-serving and divisive, neither one of those players is particularly good at going forward which is the reason for coming up with the novel idea of finding someone who can attack really well as well as defend.

Try thinking outside the box people.

  200. peachesgooner says:

I didn’t want to upset you JonJon but I reckon you’re right there πŸ™‚

  201. Irishgunner says:

  202. London says:

Point made I will move on.

Peaches, if it helps please go ahead.

  203. peachesgooner says:

London – square pegs in round holes – are you being Arsene Wenger today πŸ™‚

  204. JonJon says:

    ok london..

but id sill rather have flamini playing alongside rosicky…. πŸ˜‰

  205. Irishgunner says:

    No Chamakh then?

“I want a new challenge, I have a weakness for the English league,” Chamakh told L’Equipe.

“My dearest wish is to leave Bordeaux. I have repeated it for several months and I hope my officials will listen to my wish.

“With my agent, we have agreed terms with several English clubs that are keen to sign me. They are just waiting for my decision.

“They are notably Sunderland, Blackburn, Tottenham and Fulham. Arsenal? I don’t really believe in it anymore. My officials have not received any offer so far.

“I have not made my decision yet. I am studying the offers.

“I want to know which destination will be the best for me. When I have made my choice, the club will contact Bordeaux.”

  206. London says:

    I am Arsene Wenger

So would I but we both know it ain’t going to happen.

  207. peachesgooner says:

…….and how many times have you watch that clip Irish πŸ™‚

  208. avenell says:

London so your new formation for Arsenal is 1.

Because Rosicky can play all the positions..

  209. peachesgooner says:

Ha ha London – I’ve suspected it for a while πŸ˜‰

  210. avenell says:

Has anyone got a new post?? I have one but it is a long way off.. and a job has just turned up.. 😦

  211. Irishgunner says:

    Just a few Peaches – just a few 😳

I need to get over to see Mozart play this season, have to find money *looks down side of couch*

  212. peachesgooner says:

ave – email rasp – hes being a layabout this week….

  213. JonJon says:

london stop being such a doomer.. πŸ˜†

chamkaka ulrikakaaaa isnt an arsenal player…he’ll end up at blackburn or somewhere just as crap

  214. avenell says:

Rosicky is the new Perry Groves..

At no 1 is Perry Groves..
At no 2 is Perry Groves..

  215. Irishgunner says:

He said: β€œPeople who think that I have joined City for the money are wrong. If I had made a move for that reason then I would have been playing for Barcelona or Milan last season.

Arsenal won nothing during Emmanuel Adebayor’s time in north London
‘I want to win silverware and trophies. That is my ambition.
‘The team has quality and a manager who knows what he wants.’

  216. avenell says:

Irish.. Man City might win trophies but Ade won’t play enough games to pick up a medal if they do..

I didn’t go for the money lol..

  217. Irishgunner says:

Reminds one a bit of Hleb wouldn’t it Avenell?

He didn’t deserve his CL medal and he crying like he sweat blood for it.

  218. avenell says:

And that tosser Beckham for England..
Comes on as sub with a minute to go so he can stay in the public eye to boost his bank account..

The Yanks showed him what that thought of a disloyal player yesterday.. which was nice..

  219. avenell says:

I want a contact… sob sob… I want 1/4 of a million pounds a week.. sob sob… I want to play in Italy.. sob sob.. I want to go back to the premiership..sob sob..

Why are our fans booing me???

  220. avenell says:

I love my wife.. but Rebecca does better blowies.. πŸ˜‰

  221. Irishgunner says: report we are going to bid for Huntelaar πŸ˜† slow news day

  222. Irishgunner says:

Did Ade really beat up his missus or was that a vicious rumour?

  223. peachesgooner says:

    nice rant ave πŸ˜‰

I’m off out – if I see Darren shall I ask him if he can do the Flamini thang πŸ˜‰

  224. avenell says:

I heard that too Irish.. some just said it was the norm in Africa..

  225. peachesgooner says:

    ……square pegs……round holes…….

  226. avenell says:

If you see Darren .. tell him to slide his studs down Bentley’s achillies.. πŸ™‚

  227. Irishgunner says:

Glad I don’t live in Africa then 😐

  228. avenell says:

I didn’t think you was married either.. πŸ˜‰

  229. JonJon says:

oh yeah the ade ‘i went to citeh and turned down barca cos i want to win trophies’ thing…

  230. avenell says:

I don’t want to dance,, dance with Therry no more..

  231. JonJon says:

  232. Irishgunner says:

George Graham doesn’t think we’ll win the league … very pessimistic – he must have learnt that at the Spuds πŸ˜†

  233. JonJon says:

GG realised he important of a solid defence to win titles….

maybe he sees something we dont…

  234. Irishgunner says:

I think we all see the defensive problems

  235. avenell says:

Irish.. I think our defensive problems are the attributes in our attack.. The full backs are so important in Wengerball it leaves the CB’s exposed and drawn out of position..

which is why we miss the high energy midfeilder with the Italian name of French descent, add that to the fact last season Theo cannot defend and it was Nasri’s first so we had our problems..

  236. Irishgunner says:

I’m trying to deal with a Manc who reckons Arsenal fans were “happy” Flamini left in the same way we are with Adebayor gone. I hate trying to deal with stupid people.

  237. avenell says:

One went for Β£25 mill the other went for “Jack”.. how can that compare.. knob.

  238. JonJon says:

remind him of ronaldo and tevez irish…

its been working for me for days now.. πŸ˜‰

    spot on ave….

  239. Irishgunner says:

Written by a Liverpool fan. Apparently we only wanted Adebayor gone out of our blind love of AW FFS

  240. avenell says:

If you are arguing with a “Manc”.. real mancs support citeh..

Always best to remind them if it wasn’t for Georgie Best or an air crash, they wouldn’t have any support..

  241. Irishgunner says:

I hope City surpass United next season – not us obviously but I’d love it, love it if it was United knocked out of the top 4

  242. avenell says:

If Owen gets injured and you take away Ronnies 25 goals.. you never know.. πŸ˜‰

  243. avenell says:

TBH.. I would rather City stay down as low as possible for as long as possible.. Then the attraction to big players will die off.. A bit..

  244. London says:

“London so your new formation for Arsenal is 1.

Because Rosicky can play all the positions”

I am not quite sure what you mean by this comment?

The essence of my original post at 10:18 was that Rosicky (the Arsenal player) is better than Flamini (the Milan player)

  245. Irishgunner says:

We were worried about Chelsea too Avenell and they didn’t exactly steam miles past us.

We’d be as good as them if AW had bought the right players. Wenger can keep us up there without the money if he stopped being so stubborn about the time of player we need.

  246. avenell says:

London.. The Perry Groves clip sums it up.. Rosicky cannot play everywhere,,

He is our best LM. why fook that up?..

  247. Irishgunner says:

    huntelaar has signed for Stuttgart

  248. avenell says:

I blame Ade.. he should have left earlier..

  249. avenell says:

Irish.. we haven’t won much since Chelsea have had money though.. It used to be us and Man U .. now it’s.. well you know.. 😦

  250. London says:

I have never suggested that Rosicky can play every where. I said that I think that Rosicky is more talented than Flamini.

  251. Irishgunner says:

    πŸ˜† Avenell yeah

  252. London says:

    Are you sure?

  253. Irishgunner says:

Avenell – that’s cos we moved to the stadium and AW forgot that we need to defend as well as attack. If he remembers that we’ll be okay.

  254. Irishgunner says:

That’s what someone else just told me. I’ll check where he found out.

  255. Irishgunner says:

He said he saw it on Sky

  256. avenell says:

Yeah London I agree.. but he cannot play in his best position if he is playing “DM” he is a creator..

He was compared to Song and Denilson because that is the position Flamini used to play.. next to Cesc..

You are not comparing oranges to oranges..

Henry was more talented than Senderos.. But that doesn’t mean Senderos cannot do a job..

Add to that we have only been getting 10 games a season out of Rosicky.. the other 40 will have to be played by Song or Denilson..

If we had Flamini .. there is a good chance we would get 40 games out of him..

  257. avenell says:

London .. and you started the conversation with.. “why the Flamini love in?”

  258. London says:

Now that is what I call a considered response.

I like the Henry – Senderos comparison.

I have more to say on it based on the amount of midfield players we have available right now but it will be long winded and I need time.

  259. avenell says:

Irish.. Chelsea have won nearly as much as Man U since Roman turned up.. So I would say that money helps.. a lot..

  260. London says:

Lets be accurate, I started it with:

“Can someone tell me what Flamini would bring to the table that Rosicky can’t?”

  261. avenell says:

London.. i think I know what your midfield dilema is.. but my view is slightly tainted with the fact I would like to see Rosicky on the left assisting Clichy..
Nasri on the right assisting Sagna..

and our most lethal finisher playing behind or next to Bendtner.. AK47..

  262. avenell says:

London… You also finished that post with..

So why this continued romantic obsession?

    I just shortened it

  263. Irishgunner says:

It helps but we don’t have it so thing is to do the best with what we’ve got – is Arsene doing that?

Besides how much did Chelsea waste on the likes of Kezman etc etc

  264. London says:

I think there is a very high probability that your wish will come true. I would bet a lot of money that Rosicky starts on the left a position that he plays extremely well in………it’s funny how he plays in a different position as captain for his country.

Oh, and for all the Alonso lovers out there. What position would you say he plays? I would say it is deep laying play maker, would you say he is wasted all the way back there? I wouldn’t, please note he started of as an attacking play maker.

  265. Irishgunner says:

I agree with you on Alonso London.

  266. London says:

It is a shame that this wasn’t made into head line post I didn’t think there was so much milage in it.

  267. JonJon says:

    πŸ˜† LMAO πŸ™‚

  268. London says:

    Thank you Irish

I think this all started in my mind when I saw Rosicky tackling on Saturday. I always knew he was good defensively but I forgot just how good and then I thought of the popular view that Alonso is the answer to all our troubles and the idea jumped to my mind: why not use Rosicky there; he is as good as Alonso is to my mind?

  269. JonJon says:

i said earlier you should of done a post with that one london….

blew a few cobwebs away…and got everyone out of bed….

    good question mate

  270. Irishgunner says:

    Interesting concept London.

To be honest it was only recently I started watching Alonso closely and how much “tidying up” he does for Liverpool from that deep role.

I am guilty of far too often, sitting back and enjoying a game as opposed to really looking at the players.

  271. Franchise says:

Ade is gone to City 😦 Im gone with him too. im a sky blue πŸ™‚

    Comon Marky Hughsey

  272. Irishgunner says:

    Afternoon Franchise,

So AW sold your favourite πŸ˜‰

  273. Franchise says:

    he did

    well well life goes on

i actually wanted him to go

  274. JonJon says:

    LMAO franchise….

  275. Franchise says:

JJ here we go again. Another transfer market of uncertainty for us poor fans

Why do AFC treat us like this?

  276. JonJon says:

irish has Le Klass Du Hunter defo gone stutgart????

  277. JonJon says:

    adebayor was a legend….

a true peoples hero…..what are we to do???

  278. Irishgunner says:

Yep Jon Jon according to Sky he has signed.

I’ll fish around to see if i can find more.

  279. Irishgunner says:

    Anyone read German?

From what I can gather, the German media think its a done deal but nothing on either club website yet.

  280. London says:

    Hello Francise

What does this mean? “Why do AFC treat us like this?”

  281. Franchise says:

how is ur optimism re 09/10 as things stand with the squad?

    open question

  282. Franchise says:

    lack of information

    mixed signals from the manager

    etc etc etc

i cant help being a bit pessimistic with our squad cos ive seen us refuse to strengthen weak links year after year for at least 3 years now

  283. Irishgunner says:

Give me a “Flamini-type” midfielder and I’d be happy enough.

New striker wouldn’t go a miss but lets not be greedy πŸ˜‰

    Goalkeeper: Almunia/Fabianski (Check)

    Right Back: Sagna/Eboue (Check)

    Left Back: Clichy/Gibbs (Check)

    Central Defence: Gallas/Toure/Vermaelen/Djourou/
Silvestre/Song (could be better but depends on how good Vermaelen is)

    Midfield: Fabregas/Rosicky/Arshavin/Walcott/Nasri/
Denilson/Ramsey/Wilshere (weak on the combative player side)

Stikers: Eduardo/Van Persie/Vela/Simpson/Bendtner (depends on whether we are risking Eduardo been fully fit)

  284. JonJon says:

    8/10 franchise

9 if we sign a midfeilder and 10 if we sign both a cb and a cm

  285. charybdis1966 says:

Hay Maire – I’ve tracked you down. You would have liked it at Barnet with me and Peaches on Saturday.

  286. Franchise says:

Irish the way i see it in summary is

Arsenal can beat any team in the league on their day

Arsenal dont have a good enough team to get enough points to win the league or CL

I want us to Spend the Ade money plus and extra Β£10m on a striker and DM.

Too many players trying to break thru at the moment. we need established names and would be lucky to get 2 for Β£35m

U see why u dont budge on signing players like Alonso out of our price range for definite now

we would have to settle for some relative unknowns IMO

  287. London says:

Out of 10 and 10 being the highest, then 10. I believe we will win the league. Very soon the manc press will not be able to hide the fact that they have lost two of their most potent strikers and replaced them with an over the hill, has been who has lost his pace. The dippers are going to lose one of their most influential players in Alonso to Real Madrid and if Gerrard gets injured it’s all over for them. The Chavs with all their money are showing just how little real talent there is out there and Ancelotti is no more garanteed to succeed than Scollari did. And City is a story for next season. So, I have no problem in saying 10

  288. JonJon says:

the biggest thing for me is that the burden and negativity caused by ade has been relieved…..

rvp dudu and nikki will all have a point to prove and they will step up….the goals will come….

we just need to stop them at the other end…

  289. Franchise says:

wow 10 out of 10. so our title challenge is based on the premise our rivals are weaker?

chelsea still have a better team than us IMO, so do POOL and Mancs

last season was a shambles league wise and i expect ‘3’ points to be as tough to get this season as they were to get last season

without Ade we are a weaker side already. no matter what we think about him he was our best/most complete forward

it wld be interesting to see what wenger does in the remaining 5/6 weeks of the window but if he does nothing or not enough then to have a sniff we would have to have 0/zero/zilch injuries

  290. Irishgunner says:

I am quite confident Franchise but I definitely take and see your point.

I certainly hope AW spends the Β£25mil but only if a player is worth it, is needed and will add to the team. Not just for the sake of it – which AW wouldn’t do anyway.

I read some places that we should have bought Johnson before Liverpool did – that’s just crazy talk imo

  291. London says:

Don’t you find the idea of the board making their spending intentions public and there by handing the negotiating advantage to our competitors a bit daft?

  292. London says:

Yep franchise I believe our rivals are weaker this season and we are stronger….much stronger

  293. peachesgooner says:

London – your glass is filled right up to the top, if we sign someone its gonna overflow……you’d better take a sip πŸ˜‰

  294. London says:

    Nice one Peaches

  295. peachesgooner says:

Franchiiiiiiiiise – how was your birthday honey πŸ˜‰

  296. Franchise says:

London pretending to be skint wont force down the price of quality players

it didnt help us to sign players like ribery, ronaldo etc

know that when u talk to the press u r also talking to your fans

‘im not close to signing anyone yet’ this is from a manager that has gone almost 6 years without the league

he said in May that he was looking to get the team together b4 we go to Austria. Bollox

  297. Franchise says:

hi peaches it was very good thank you. Unfortunately Wenger would only offer me 1 yr deals now

  298. Irishgunner says:

Franchise – I’ve said it before to you and I’ll say it again, you can’t take everything AW says with face value.

Take Ferguson, he said he was done buying and a few days later buys another striker.

Managers and football dealings are all smoke and mirrors.

  299. peachesgooner says:

    Ah nevermind……. 😦

Do you think AA will play behind the striker now……

  300. Franchise says:

irish wenger is meant to be a man of ‘integrity’. why wouldnt i take his words for what they are?

last year we waited until Sept 1st 23:59 and no Flamini replacement turned up.

very possible it would happen again

  301. London says:

When you hear Wenger say that he expects Adebayor to be with us next season two days before he leaves don’t you realise that it was part of a negotiation.

The trick is not to take anything that is said seriously during the summer transfer window.

  302. Irishgunner says:

Because to take his words for what they are is silly in my opinion.

I liken most football managers to politicians, its not what they say that counts, you have to try and read in between lines.

I think Arsene Wenger or any manager would be extremely foolish to say exactly what they thought about their players, players they want to bring in etc etc

I really believe that he thought Denilson and Song weren’t up to the job last season, that’s why he played the two of them but if he came out and said “oh I play the two of them because they are average” it’d be the height of stupidity.

Besides, a good politician will never admit they are wrong, they will just go about changing it.

  303. London says:

I am so pleased you are on this site Irish you make my heart sing.

  304. Irishgunner says:

Aw, I’ve never made anyone’s heart “sing” before 😳

  305. Franchise says:

London its no trick if it aint helping us

assuming we have 5 DM target, targets 1-5

u know ur budget, u ‘know’ the players from ur scout reports etc why cant we just sign a player that suits the profile.

i dont see any trick in promising to start proper pre season with the complete squad and not even closeley fulfilling it

we are tending to be less and less proactive in the transfer market and it aint helping our cause IMO

Madrid set out to make a statement in this window and they indeed made a resounding one. why cant we sort out our deals asap?

if only we had an open Q&A every week

  306. avenell says:

Chary.. I am so sorry mate mate.. nobody took you out of moderation..

Welcome, you are free to blog now..

  307. Irishgunner says:

    Hi Chary πŸ™‚

Did Peaches give Super Tom an extra big shout like I asked her to? πŸ˜‰

  308. peachesgooner says:

Checkin’ up on me…….I whooped and shouted his name every time he had the ball πŸ˜‰

  309. Irishgunner says:

I knew you would Peaches πŸ˜‰

  310. peachesgooner says:

    I’ve told him he’s out of moderation – sorry I wasn’t watching……… 😦

  311. charybdis1966 says:

Yes she did Maire – from the second he lead the team out. I was whooping for my new favourite curren t player the mighty midget – aka The Arsh.
No problem Avenell, I’m always in moderation when I log on during the day because of my proxy server address.

  312. Irishgunner says:

How is the cricket going Peaches?

  313. avenell says:

I was outside helping the neighbours do there conservetory roof and I missed him..

Jonjon suggested we take the moderation off.. perhaps during the day?

I think it would be okay if we don’t go Crocodile with any linked names..

  314. JonJon says:

ive been quiet all day and as soon as i get flooded with work it gets tasty on here and i missed it……

i tend not to take any notice of the spin wenger chats anymore

take today for example…. say wenger is in no hurry to sign

yet two stories later we are keeping an eye on chamkakakakaka?????

  315. peachesgooner says:

Irish – he just looked so happy……and when Cesc plays with him and Nasri and Nikki and Theo and Dudu……..its going to be so exciting πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  316. Irishgunner says:

I knew she wouldn’t let me down Chary πŸ˜€

I’m delighted to see Super Tom back, he can be a key squad player for us.

I don’t think I’ll make it over for the Emirates Cup either/or any match next season 😦

  317. peachesgooner says:

Irish – we won the cricket a few hours ago – by all accounts Freddie was a star – rico must be watching it all over again 😳

  318. avenell says:

Chary, I did read your excellent post a few weeks ago (somewhere) well done, I enjoyed it .. brilliant title..

  319. Irishgunner says:

You forget the Russian in your list Peaches πŸ˜€

  320. peachesgooner says:

I want the old 😳 back – I loved the way it blushed.

Irish you’d better start saving your pennies – you can stay with me no probs…..

  321. Irishgunner says:

Well done to England I guess.

    I don’t get cricket πŸ˜•

  322. JonJon says:

im in total favor of taking the moderation off….

if we get any cranks irish and london are more than capable of holdong the fort and if the worst comes to the worst a quick phone call here and there and they are gone

not calling you crank chary… πŸ˜‰

    hi by the way….

  323. peachesgooner says:

You’re right I forgot the little russian, how could I do that – some of the play between AA and LJ and Tomas was fab on saturday……..

  324. avenell says:

Irish … we can all have a whip round.. get Irish to the Emirates fund..

  325. Irishgunner says:

I’m moving to Australia Peaches – I think anyway

bit of a trip to a game of a saturday πŸ˜†

  326. charybdis1966 says:

Thanks Avenell – I actually lifted it from the first line of an AC/DC song, but t he alternative title would have been Freddy Star ate my Hamster; this was a dig at tabloid journalisms finest excesses.
Maire, I’m not going to the Emirates Cup either this year, my anniversary is on the Saturday, plus I’m not overly enthused by the opposition. I am going to Member’s day – I’ll take my boys there and hopefully it won’t pour down like it did last year.

  327. avenell says:

Take that back.. not from Oz.. lol.. I didn’t mind a fiver.. πŸ˜‰

  328. peachesgooner says:

When are you moving to Australia – you’d better get to a game before you go then……

  329. avenell says:

Chary.. Rangers could be a pain in the arse..

    What happens on members day?

  330. charybdis1966 says:

Hi JonJon – there are quite a few nutcases around so I would advise caution on leaving the moderation off. I moderate the comments on my Youtube videos; I won’t have any profanity or words like β€œSp**” or β€œMa****”.

  331. Irishgunner says:

Hope the kids enjoy member’s Chary and you too of course πŸ™‚

Ha ha Avenell, you can’t it back, you can send the fiver anyway ha ha

  332. JonJon says:

    πŸ˜† chary

  333. Irishgunner says:

September/October Peaches so have to save the pennies.

Thing is we have to fly to London to get a connecting flight cos we can;t fly direct to Australia from Ireland.

Imagine if we flew to London of a Saturday and didn’t get our connecting flight till the Sunday and then by terrible coincidence Arsenal so happened to be playing a home match on that given Saturday.

    Imagine that πŸ˜‰

  334. peachesgooner says:

I think you should bank on that Irish πŸ™‚

  335. Irishgunner says:

I think so too ha ha

I’ll offer to book the flights πŸ˜‰

  336. London says:

Give it a go; take the mod off, it could have the added advantage that I aim my enthusiasm at them and not you lol

  337. charybdis1966 says:

From memory Avenell, the squad come out to do some training /warm up about 11.45; Wenger himself leads, and joins in the training. After that they have a 5 a side game and then they get the winners of a lucky draw to play a penalty shoot out against Almunia. There is some entertainment afterwards and also Gunnersaurus and his helpers fire stuff into the crowd(T-shirts and stuff like they do at half time during match days).
There was some other stuff but I didn’t stay that long last year as we were all saturated and wanted to dry off somewhere under cover. It may not seem like much but it is free so that’s a good reason to go!

  338. peachesgooner says:

Have a look at whats in the spam now and see if you would want it on the blog……..

  339. Irishgunner says:

What date is the Wembley Cup (or whatever its called) on?

Aren’t Celtic playing in that? Could get temperamental if Rangers and Celtic are in London at the same time.

  340. avenell says:

Peaches .. I think there is a difference between spam and moderation..

    Kelsey =

  341. avenell says:

Irish .. and the Spuds and Barca..

but the Emirates and the Wembley tournaments are both on Sky, so I would have thought on different weekends..

  342. Irishgunner says:

Must be Avenell – wouldn’t make sense to have them on the same weekend, would be terrible management.

    Anyone see

Tributes to Adebayor and AW admits interest in Chamakh.

  343. peachesgooner says:

The Wembley Cup is next weekend I think

  344. Irishgunner says:

All making a lot more sense now.

A clever person would have checked the dates before making the comment …. or maybe I’m just lazy πŸ˜‰

  345. London says:

Your 4:03 pm comment was extremely interesting and is at the essence of how Arsenal has changed as a club.

“London its no trick if it aint helping us

Assuming we have 5 DM target, targets 1-5

u know ur budget, u β€˜know’ the players from ur scout reports etc why cant we just sign a player that suits the profile.”

The reason we cannot do this is because there are clubs out there with much more money than us. We are now in the position of identifying a player, putting in an offer and then waiting to see if a club with more money is going to come in and take the player from under our nose.

Arshavin is a really good example: we showed interest then we had to wait to see if the likes of City were going to make a higher offer; they didn’t but Zenit made us wait until the last minute before we were able to get him for the bargain that we did.

You may say why not just pay what they are asking but the same applies, the selling club will wait until the last minute just in case someone comes in with a higher offer. And by the way this is the reason that if we do sign anyone else it will not be until the last minute of the transfer window.

As for Real Madrid and their spending power, you have to realise that the person that is spending the money is elected and only there for a short amount of time; he is not spending his own money and he has no reason to care what state the clubs finances are in when he leaves.

  346. avenell says:

Cheers Fanchise…. at least he is leaving me alone.. πŸ˜‰

  347. London says:

Where can I find the spam?

  348. avenell says:

    Tesco’s, Asda.. most supermarkets..

  349. avenell says:

In the dashboard.. It’s about keepie uppy pills..

  350. London says:

I knew that was coming as I wrote it lol

  351. peachesgooner says:

I went to the open day last year – I’d got soaked on the Sunday after the Emirates cup and then again at the open day 😦

Saw Tomas Rosicky running though……. πŸ™‚

I thought the 5-a-side was amazing – it was so fast and almost choreographed like a ballet…….

  352. avenell says:

and a Wet T-shirt competition.. sounds good.. πŸ˜‰

  353. London says:

    Ave, Peaches

My vote would be to open it up; there are enough people with edit powers to get rid of that stuff in an instant and there are some good people trying to visit the site and want to join in then and there (did you notice how I have given myself the right to vote) πŸ™‚

  354. peachesgooner says:

avenell – why do you keep changing colour?????

London – if you go to the dashboard theres a ‘Pending’ and a ‘Spam’ – theres 1 comment in spam at the moment, if you click on it you can see what it is……

  355. London says:

    Thanks Peaches

Did Rosicky play DM in the 5 aside? I bet he did.

  356. avenell says:

Peaches.. I don’t know.. I am not changing anything, I am not logging out, not a thing..

London, we don’t have many new visitors, that’s why we get caught out all the time, we forget to look..

  357. peachesgooner says:

No he didn’t play, he just jogged around the pitch a few times to raptuous applause πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

London – I did your smilie for you, you need to leave a space between the word and the smilie πŸ˜€

  358. Irishgunner says:

β€œWhen you mostly sit on the bench, winning titles brings very little joy, while getting to the last eight of the Champions League with Arsenal was unforgettable,’ said the Belarus winger.
β€œI regret my move from London, but unfortunately nothing can be done about it now
β€œFor me, Wenger was like a father. I consider him one of the best managers in the world.
β€œFor such a boss one wants to die on the pitch. Arsene managed to create a smashing team with a wonderful atmosphere inside of it.
β€œI have no doubts that if Arsenal had the same budget as Barcelona, the Gunners would be among the three best clubs on the planet.”

    Well,well, well Alex Hleb….

  359. avenell says:

    Email that to Ade..

  360. London says:

    Thanks Peaches

I was just getting the hang of the last lot of smilies when they changed them.

Guess I lose the vote…I’m getting used to my new voting rights

  361. avenell says:

Hleb must say that to Cesc on the phone too.. I hope so..

  362. Irishgunner says:

Isn’t Hleb off to play for Moraninho now? He’ll love it there, playing shite football.

  363. avenell says:

London.. no not necessarily.. I am undecided..

It might work as long as we turn it back on at night nights time..

  364. Franchise says:

London i dont know why but for some reason we are run like a small club

Arsenal as a brand is loosing its appeal to aspiring players and neutral fans

look at the sort of players we are linked with? chamakh. sunderland target?

considering Arsh was priced at Β£18m by Zenit as it was rumoured and we spent 4 weeks trying to get him for Β£15m or less then we were stupid to risk loosing him to another club

signing arshavin on 1st of Jan rather than on the 1st of Feb could have been the diifference between 4th and 3rd or better.

but no we wait and enter into crazy negotiation for 4 weeks with zenit cos we are trying to act skint or cos we are skint

When you try to sign the best players and make this is evident publically u send out the right signals about ur ambition for the next season

Are Arsenal too small to have a Β£21m player as a holding midfielder?

yes cos even Xabi Alonso at Β£16m last season was too much for Wenger

if there is no money why such a big squad without enough quality? Sell 2 and buy 1

We have like 5 forwards 7 CB. none of our forwards is a reknown 20+ a season man. Who are we linked with to replace Ade? Chamakh

Who is the answer to our DM? it seems is Blaise Matuidi

How can we be taken seriously?

  365. London says:

Hasn’t Hleb already gone to Inter?

  366. avenell says:

Irish .. he will get a sore neck.. He will be like a Wimbledon umpire..

  367. Irishgunner says:

Franchise – Why are you so worried about names and money?

If we don’t buy someone for Β£20million from Barcelona does that mean he is rubbish?

    Terrible logic.

The Eduardos, Sagnas, Arshavins are more than welcome in my book.

  368. Irishgunner says:

Ha ha ha Avenell – excellent πŸ™‚

London – deal isn’t done yet.

  369. avenell says:

As soon as we approach any player.. his agent is going to alert Man City or the Chelsea’s of the world to try to get a better deal for him.. When they and there non football generated funds don’t want him.. he’s ours.

  370. avenell says:

    London.. cough cough.. 5.40.. πŸ™‚

  371. London says:

I have changed the dates on your post, is it right now? If so, I can begin.

  372. Franchise says:

    true London

Irish cheap players are mostly cheap for a reason and expensive player pricy for a reason too.

if sagna was a good going forward as Alves he probably would have cost more cos he is a good defender.

if eduardo was as blessed with ability like say Torres is then he would have cost more

we need a world class DM. the last time i checked they dont cost peanuts

how many more denilson and songs do we have to sign in hope the become the next best thing since sliced bread?

with all the cheap young players we have signed since 2005 which one has taken the world by storm?

most of them are still HOPE projects

  373. Irishgunner says:

Alves is so over-rated its not even funny. He can’t defend and while he does whip in a better cross than Sagna, he only does so every 1 in 10 attempts.

Eduardo is a very different striker to Torres so that’s an odd comparison.

You seem to have the “grass is greener” glasses on a lot Franchise. You covet other players a terrible lot and ignore the great players we actually do have.

We are short some yes of course but Eduardo and Sagna are too very good players.

  374. London says:

There is obviously a football financial hierarchy within which we are near to the top but obviously not high enough to compete with the likes of sovereign wealth funds, Russian oligarchs and Spaniards who don’t give a toss how they leave the finances of the club when they leave.

We are not a small club and I don’t accept that we act like one but the reality is that we have limitations.

As for Arshavin, I said above it wouldn’t have made any difference if we had offered three million more on the 1st of Jan, Zenit would have still stalled until the 1st of Feb in the hope that another club with more money would come in and made a higher offer.

The same situation applies now, as soon as we show an interest in a player the selling club will make it public and stall on the completion in the hope that another club with more money will come in with a higher offer.

Basic business if you ask me.

  375. Irishgunner says:

Franchise by your logic – Alfonso Alves is a better player than Eduardo because Boro paid more for him.

  376. Franchise says:

Eduardo is a striker that is seen as a martyr IMO cos of his horrific injuries. He got injured just as his honeymoon period was finishing. since his return we have played dross in the fa cup.

  377. Irishgunner says:

Franchise – And I think that players from other teams are been hyped up because they aren’t in an Arsenal shirt.

If we had Messi, Essien etc I bet you’d still be unhappy about something, like we didn’t pay Β£100000000000billion for them so they mustn’t be good.

Even Alex Ferguson is backing away from the market with Madrid and City throwing out huge money.

  378. peachesgooner says:

I don’t see Eduardo as a martyr – I’m thrilled that a young footballer is able to recover from that terrible injury and hopefully still be able to continue to play at a high level……..he got injured just as his honeymoon period was getting under way IMO…..

Why so grumpy Fran……’re not old enough to be a grumpy old man yet πŸ™‚

I hope that Arsene is going to buy someone that we need and will be better than we already have

  379. Irishgunner says:

Adebayor has only been officially sold today so it might be this evening by the time the money gets into the Arsenal FC account.

Wenger has said on that he has the money to spend, so he has no excuses if he not replacing Adebayor back fires.

Me, I’ll give him a few weeks before I start shouting my mouth off πŸ˜‰

  380. London says:

I hope you are still writing Franchise, this is a good one

  381. London says:

My guess is that we will strengthen but not until the last day of the transfer window.

  382. avenell says:

Peaches… I sort of know what Franchise is saying.. we have bigged him up a bit.. He wasn’t the greatest striker ever before he got injured, he was just getting there after his bedding in period..

now because he hasn’t played for a while we are looking at him through rose tinted specs and thinking he is better than van Basten..

I do hope he will be though..

  383. Irishgunner says:

Eduardo isn’t someone that gets overly involved in games but when he does flit in, he is lethal. He is very calm in front of goal.

  384. JonJon says:

since red rom came with all his millions wenger has had to change the way he operates in the transfer window….

just as it was calming down real madrid and mancity come along with all their cash that make chelsea look like minimum wage workers…

it seems like wenger now likes to create smokescreens…

i.e.. AA….he once said he didnt want him…he questioned his ability..then he goes and signs him…

if we say we want a player then citeh will just outbid us…

it happened with SWP..wenger once said he was interested and there was talk of a 12mil bid….chelsea came along and paid 20mil for him..put him on ridiculous wages and stuck him on the bench just so we couldnt have him…

its well known that wenger knows his players…if he tells the world who hes after theres a risk they’ll get bought

    we wanted essien…got bought

    we wanted bought…

its hard for a club thats trying to pay for a stadium and remain self sufficient to compete with the fools that through money everywhere…

even fergies feeling the pinch….for years he paid over the odds for players and now hes complaining the transfers are ridiculous….and picking up freebies….

it wouldnt be wise for us to go public with our targets but at the same time we do need to get those targets in quickly……..

we do need to buy….but we have to be wise about it…

  385. JonJon says:

does anyone think that hlebs comments are a come and get me plea to wenger???????

  386. JonJon says:

    ave theres a new post????????????

  387. peachesgooner says:

Fran – do you think Arsene should buy a striker to replace Adebayor or spend the money elsewhere in the team?

  388. avenell says:

What just for me?.. yum.. yum..

  389. London says:

What is wrong is that some people still wrongly believe that we could have signed Torres. This one of those rare situations in which money wasn’t the only criteria; Torres was wanted by every club in Europe, he decided to go and work with a Spanish coach that he believed would improve him as a player.
It makes my blood boil when people spred this ridiculous idea that we could have signed him if only Wenger had offered 25 mil a year earlier.

  390. avenell says:

London.. I didn’t say we could have signed Torres..

I think he was lured there by Rafa in a similar way we get the French players..

We sometimes have to accept that Arsenal are not the only club in the world.. and players who don’t support Arsenal can go anywhere they want..

  391. London says:

    Your 6:34 respect.

  392. London says:

I know you didn’t. Franchise mentioned him

  393. London says:

We do agree on some things Avenell lol

Jonjon still on about your 6.34 I agree with every single word.

  394. avenell says:

Oh right.. I’m with you now..

  395. JonJon says:

i think we could of got villa…

last summer when cesc said on telly he wanted villa and villa came on telly and said he would jump to join cesc at arsenal….

that was before the euros…..and when milan were chasing ade….

if we’d of sold ade then we could of had a great chance of getting villa…but the euros came along villas price shot up as expected and we did all we could to keep ade just for him to throw it all back in our face….

    there was a chance…its gone….

  396. avenell says:

Jonjon… But you cannot get everyone.. there are always some we should have got.. At least Arsene gets it right a lot of the time..

  397. Irishgunner says:

We could kidnap him at the Valenica game Jon Jon πŸ˜‰

  398. peachesgooner says:

……he’ll be back sometime soon πŸ˜†

  399. JonJon says:

if i was wenger… as soon as villa came public and said what he said id of jumped on the next plane and gone and done my best to get him….

    then told ade to swivel….

its not hindsight either..i said the same thing then…

    but im not wenger…. 😦

  400. London says:

I have gone from agreeing with every word of one of your posts to disagreeing with every word of your next lol

I speak Spanish, every single interview David Villa has ever given he has emphasised that he does not want to come and work in England, you may have noticed not even City have put in an offer for him even if their only motive was to raise their profile in the same way as they did with Kaka (they knew they were never going to get him) What is Villa suposed to say when a journalist says to him that Cesc has said he would love to play with him, I mean really.

  401. avenell says:

The thing with Villa is he is too similar to Eduardo, Vela and even RvP.. so he probably was the wrong type of striker to buy at the time..

  402. Irishgunner says:

Villa’s wife is expecting as well I think and he is reluctant to cause too much upheaval.

  403. London says:

    No, no, no

David Villa would be so perfect for Wengerball I’m lost for words

He is going to Barça, I would bet my house on it

  404. Irishgunner says:

Ibrahimovic is going to Barca isn’t he?

  405. JonJon says:

wheres rico when you need her…??? πŸ™‚

i aint gonna win that one am i??

thats the beauty of blogging london…one minute you agree the next you dont…

    i love it…its good to have you back… πŸ™‚

  406. kelsey says:

    Evening all,

Sorry my mistake.I wrote the headline for a new post, without actually posting the new post. It’s not ready yet.

I read the German report, and my understanding is that he hopes to sign for Stuttgart on Friday,so perhaps the door is still ajar.

If I was a betting man Villa’s choice would be Barcelona.

  407. London says:

BarΓ§a will use Ibramovich to reduce Villa’s wage demands. Ibramovich will be a chav…Italian connection with Ancelotti.

    I’m off for a while

  408. avenell says:

Speaking of expecting.. I’m sure I heard that John Hartsons missus was expecting..

I hope that helps get the old boy through..

  409. Irishgunner says:

Cheers Kelsey – I’ve not got a word of German and the translation site don’t work too well.

So there is still hope for those who want him.

  410. JonJon says:

when is a door not a door?? when its ajar… πŸ˜†

  411. Irishgunner says:

    Ahem *cough cough*

  412. JonJon says:

no i think that one officially ended my stand up career…

  413. avenell says:

If you want stand up..look in the spam.. πŸ˜‰

  414. kelsey says:

A blind man wanders into a Female Biker Bar by mistake.

He finds his way to a bar stool and orders some coffee.

After sitting there for a while, he yells to the waiter, ‘Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?’

The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, ‘Before you tell that
joke, sir, I think it’s only fair, given that you’ re blind, that you should know five things:

    1) The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.

    2) The bouncer is a blonde girl.

    3) I’m a 6 foot tall, 175 lb. blonde woman with a black belt in karate.

    4) The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.

    5) The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler. Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?’

The blind man thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters….

‘No, not if I’m gonna have to explain it five times.’

  415. kelsey says:

    > A priest and a rabbi were sitting next to each other on an airplane.
    > After a while, the priest turned to the rabbi and asked, “Is it still a
    > requirement of your faith that you not eat pork? ”
    > The rabbi responded, “Yes, that is still one of our beliefs.”
    > The priest then asked, “Have you ever eaten pork?”
    > To which the rabbi replied, “Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to
    > temptation and tasted a ham sandwich.”
    > The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading.
    > A while later, the rabbi spoke up and asked the priest, “Is it still a
    > requirement of your church that you remain celibate?
    > The priest replied, “Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith.”
    > The rabbi then asked him, “Have you ever fallen to the temptations of
    > the flesh?”
    > The priest replied, “Yes, rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke my
    > faith and made love to a woman.”
    > The rabbi nodded understandingly and remained silent, thinking about
    > five minutes. Finally, the rabbi said, “Beats a f*****g ham sandwich,
    > doesn’t it?”

  416. JonJon says:

    that made me chuckle….

ave…they dont give up do they….its a constant barrage

  417. Irishgunner says:

    Ha ha good one Kelsey

  418. kelsey says:

Unless you’re one of my Scottish readers, in which case replace Essex with Castlemulk!

A ventriloquist, touring the clubs, takes his show to a small town in Essex .

Dummy on knee, he’s in full-flow with his ‘dumb blond’ joke routine when a lass in the fourth row stands on her chair and starts shouting:

‘I’ve heard enough of your stupid blond jokes – what gives you the right to stereotype women in that way?

“Its men like you who prevent women like me from being respected and reaching our full potential as people.”

Clearly upset, the embarrassed ventriloquist apologises profusely.

But the woman pipes up again:

“You stay out of this mate. I’m talking to the wee fella on your lap!'”

  419. kelsey says:

Barack Obama is visiting an Ayr hospital. He enters a ward full of patients with no obvious sign of injury or illness. He greets one. The patient replies:

“Fair fa your honest sonsie face,/
Great chieftain o’ the puddin race,/
Aboon them a ye tak’ yer place,/
    Painch, tripe or thairm,/
Weel are ye worthy o’ a Grace, as langs my airm.”

Obama is confused, so he just grins and moves on to the next patient. The next patient responds:

“Some hae meat an canna eat,/
And some wad eat that want it,/
But we hae meat an we can eat,/
So let the Good Lord be thankit.”

Even more confused, and his grin now rictus-like, the President moves on to the next patient, who immediately begins to chant:

    “Wee sleekit, cowerin, timorous beasty,/
    O whit a panic’s in thy breasty,/
Thou needna start awa sae hastie,/
    Wi bickering brattle.”

Now seriously troubled, Obama turns to the accompanying doctor and asks, ‘Is this a psychiatric ward?’

‘No,’ replies the doctor, ‘this is the serious Burns unit’.

  420. JonJon says:

im getting off early tonight guys i got some work to do….

True Friendship “Aussie Style–” None of that Sissy Crap

Are you tired of those piss weak ‘friendship’ poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.
You will see no cute little smiley faces on this card — Just the stone cold truth of a great friendship.
    1. When you are sad — I will help you get hammered and plot revenge against the bastard who made you sad.
    2. When you are blue — I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
    3. When you smile — I will know you are thinking of something that I would probably want to be involved in.
    4. When you are scared — I will tease you about it every chance I get until you’re NOT.
5…. When you are worried — I will tell you stories about how much worse it could be until you stop wingeing.
6… When you are confused — I will try to use only little words.
7… When you are sick — Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don’t want whatever you have.
    8. When you fall — I will laugh at your clumsy arse, but I’ll help you up.
    9. This is my oath…. I pledge it to the end. ‘Why?’ you may ask;
    because you are my friend.
Friendship is like pissing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.

hi guys sorry i had to leave work

re eduardo my point is that he is a player we are still quite unsure of what to expect from him

he cost under Β£10m because he is quite limited in abilities compared to your modern day all doing CF.

if he were that gifted he would cost more Irish

its so annoying we cant be linked to top class players anymore.

henry and several others have left because they want to play with better players

i thought for once the Q&A would have created a sense of urgency re signings. nothing seems to have changed

the longer we dilly dally the more complex the market gets

  424. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    G’Day all

Back from a big footy weekend in Melbourne, then big work commitments yesterday. Still managed to get some cricket in. Congratulations to those cricket followers here, rico, ras, big raddy, etc. Flintoff was pretty good.

So …….. has gone to man city (I am sick of seeing his name on here so the best way to stop that is just to use dots)

  425. avenell says:

We could use £££££££££££.. instead of dots.. £25 million of them.. yipeee.. how you doing Gnarley?

  426. avenell says:

    New Post.. Morning all..
