Age Before Beauty??

Ok,  silly heading, but I woke up in the early hours last night and it came into my mind, probably after hearing we had or almost had signed two youngsters who ‘have great potential’.

What history tells us is that ‘potential’ means they could one day play the beautiful football that we all know and love, the football we used to play – week in week out.

Is that not the same football we are all so desperate to see again?
You know, that style of football that each time we break from defence we all sit there thinking – ‘There’s a goal at the end of this move’ – I remember that when Paddy used to intercept the oppositions attack on our goal, his long gangly legs used to race forward, ball at feet, Sir Bobby, Freddie or Henry were all waiting, huge smile in anticipation – and the rest as they say is history..

Oh those days…

Things for our club right now are very different, we have an abundance of ‘beauty’ but now we need some ‘age’ and with that age has to bring some experience.

What we lack as we all know is that perfect mix –‘The age and The Beauty’.

Today we are linked with Gareth Barry – All the papers are reporting that he wants to come to Arsenal, so which boxes does he tick?

Price – Y, coming to the end of his contract and old Randy won’t want to lose him on a free so we would probably get him for less than we got Arshavin.

English Y – That will give us a big tick in the world of the paps, we sign not only an English player, but a player who plays for England… mmmm

ACON – Nope, he’s English

But is price and being English the right reason to sign a player???

Would Barry be Cesc’s choice? I think not, he like me and many others would like Alonso or maybe Iniesta – J

Ok, I know we won’t get the latter, but I can wish can’t I?

Or would you prefer an unheard of player?
Someone who would cost the club half the price, but has the experience of winning?
Oh, and add to that, the potential to be a ‘beautiful’ player?

Over to you!

I’d have barry for £10 million or less if we could get him.. I would still have Alonso ..
    Can we have both??

  2. rico01 says:

    Am I first 😉 😉

    Off for a read now…

Oh, and Come on Susan Boyle – or the guy with the sax 😛

  3. rico01 says:

Blimey ave, you were a bit speedy. How are you doing, are you and yours watching BGT 😉

    Sax on a Saturday ??? 😛

  4. avenell says:

I’m on me jack rico.. “er indoors” and “lit lun” are still out at a wedding..

I swerve that on the box

I’m trying to download drivers and crap from the net, but I cannot get nothing to work.. 😦

  5. avenell says:

Do you like your piggy enlarged?.. >>>>>>>

  6. rico01 says:

Thats a tricky one – but I guess I dont really care if the player is a winner. But as for youth, no thanks, we have Merida, Coquelin, Barazite, JET, LJ, Ramsey, Frimpong and Lord knows how mant others waiting for a chance….

But if its Barry or noone – then I would go for Barry

  7. rico01 says:

Yes thanks ave – is she cute or what 😛

  8. peachesgooner says:

I’m afraid I’m a ‘Beauty before Age’ kind of girl – if Cesc says yes to Gareth Barry because he’ll help us play the beautiful game then he gets the thumbs up from me………..

Thing is Barry bucks both trends doesn’t he – he’ll be cheaper cos hes old rather than young 😛

  9. peachesgooner says:

We’re all Stavros and Diversity supporters here 🙂

  10. peachesgooner says:

Agree rico – we have enough young ones – lets go for a bit of experience 😆

  11. JonJon says:

i dont know about barry ave…

if the price is right i would take him…he definately aint worth more than 10mil…..

but would that be our one and only signing????

  12. Rasputin says:

I think we should play Stavros Flatley up front, put Susan Boyle on the left wing and play Diversity as centrebacks – nothing will get past them 🙄

  13. Ewan says:

I’d want Barry due to the fact that he’s english, he’s a captain of a club, he’s experienced, he wants to come, and that we could get him under 10m, the way wenger wants it.
But I’d still want someone in the center of defence, a strong, tall and brave minded defender like john terry. Hangeland could be a worthy candidate. He’s of course proved us that..Chiellini is not a bad option either!

  14. avenell says:

🙂 Hello me old mucker!!! 🙂

  15. JonJon says:

you know what would interest me if barry arrived???

the right foot left foot combo in the CM…. vieira/petit vieira/edu…. we played some of the most creative balanced football with these players….

maybe the barry/cesc combo would be just as devastating?????

  16. JonJon says:

the emotions are overwhelming….glad your back mate… really….

  17. Rasputin says:

    Long time ave 😉

  18. rico01 says:

    Ra Ra Rasputin 😛 😛

  19. Rasputin says:

JonJon … I feel like I’ve just come back from the crusades after our recent ‘battles’ together, I take my hat off to you!

  20. avenell says:

I am not the best Barry fan, but Villa have done a job on our midfield in the last few years.. and he looks better than Lampard and Gerrard for England..

like you say to Cesc and behind Arsh he may be devastating..

  21. Rasputin says:

Rico…. stop it, you’ll wake the chooks 😛

  22. Rasputin says:

Gareth Barry really should be welsh with a name like that….. mind you Fred shuld be from the east end and Alex from scotland…

  23. avenell says:

If we sign that Man City bloke , we could have Barry Ireland as a midfield..

  24. rico01 says:

Right you old muckers, I must get my beauty sleep, nighty night, stay safe

Rasp – they have only just gone to bed 😛

  25. avenell says:

    Nite roaster.. lol 😉

  26. Rasputin says:

Better than Windass and Dickoff 🙂

  27. JonJon says:

rasp…if im on the right track then i really enjoyed it….it was like lying face down in the mud bloodied and bruised with all hope lost..and then you suddenly hear the bugle and look up to see the cavalry arriving over the hill…and you find the energy to fight your way free….

    😉 😉 😉 good times good stuff…

  28. JonJon says:

    night rico…

    barry ireland.. LOL

    windass dickov.. LMAO

  29. Rasputin says:

Rico – do you sleep o a feather mattess or would that be sacrilege?.. don’t go we don’t know who’s won BGT yet …

  30. avenell says:

Arsenal won the youth cup with nine english players that’s EGT.. 🙂

  31. JonJon says:

how many of those players do you think will make it with us ave???

  32. Rasputin says:

Don’t tell Platini that ave, he’ll want to bring an anti-jingoist ruling that says you can’t field home grown players if they have won youth trophies..

  33. Rasputin says:

I can’t remember where I read it, but someone compared a team that won the youth trophy for us (it included Bentley) a few years ago and pointed out that only two of them are playing in the premiership (I think the gingernut who played for rico’s 2nd team and then the chavs was the other) and none are currently playing for Arsenal.

  34. avenell says:

I can’t see it happening Rasp..

  35. Rasputin says:

I think winning is a habit and if theses kids can win something so early, it can only be good. Who are your three ave – LJ, JET and ???? I’m guessing

  36. avenell says:

English wise.. and the striker who comes on as sub from Kent.. cannot think of his name.. With the ears..

    And coquelin..

  37. London says:

    Good Post Ave

I think collectively we all realise that for the foreseeable future we are not going to be able to sign the likes of Iniesta, Messi or David Villa; the reality is that there are clubs with far more money that are better placed to attract the players of their ilk. Which leaves us, if we want players of that calibre, with only one option; that is, we are going to have to home grow them. The ratio of success to failure is obviously high but I want the next Iniesta, Messi and David Villa at Arsenal so it seems to me that the more exciting young talent the club sign the more the odds are reduced of finding the next Maradonna.

Is there a power cut at Le Grove 😉

  38. JonJon says:

platini will only allow english players called rupert or basil or archibald….

  39. avenell says:

    Don’t go there London..

  40. JonJon says:

hey london…are you on the vino again????

i dont know about maradona but we might have the new english brady and vieira…id settle for that… 😉

  41. Rasputin says:

I’m a huge Coquelin fan 😉 but he’s not one of the 9 english – or did you just mean 9 from the team?

  42. London says:

History tells us that on average only a small percentage of the youth team will finally make it into the first team. The thing is that this is no average youth team; they are very, very special, so rather than play safe and say that only three will make it I am going to stick my neck out and say that we have seen what the whole of the first team will look like in five years time.

  43. Rasputin says:

I can’t remember all their names, but I thought the defence for the youth side was awesome….

  44. JonJon says:

    either or rasputin….

it wont really matter if coquelin breaks through anyway….according to the ’69’ 😉 rule…hes practically english anyway…

  45. JonJon says:

    bartley and ayling….rasp

    big boys…been eating their greens…

  46. avenell says:

    A bit lost now.. 🙂 it’s Becks o’clock.. 🙂

From the nine english.. LJW. JET and that striker with the star treks..
    Plus Coquelin..

  47. Rasputin says:

That’s them JonJon – great prospects for the future, hope they’ve got more patience than Matty Upson…

  48. JonJon says:

    wow london….

i hope thats the case…that would be history in the making….

imagine what the football world would do if the whole of a clubs youth team made it to the 1st team and won the fucking lot….

that would be a very very special day indeed….

  49. peachesgooner says:

Hi guys – I’ve been practising my diversity – can i join in the love-in 🙂

  50. avenell says:

There will be some big dangly contracts coming in.. and they have to muscle in front of the reserves first and if they don’t get first team football some may leave.. that is why I thought only three or four of that team..

  51. peachesgooner says:

    ave – Sanchez Watts?

  52. London says:

I will leave you to your love in. Later

  53. peachesgooner says:

Sorry to pour cold water on your party but I’ve seen the reserves play a few times and they aren’t as accomplished as the youth team at playing ‘Wengerball’

  54. Rasputin says:

I think you’re right ave, but it can only be good for Arsenal morale – just like the ladies doing so well. I don’t want to be cynical, but we can make some money on those we decide not to keep.

  55. JonJon says:

    see ya london mate….

yes peaches…. add watts to the list…

oh fudge it….im with london i want the lot of them in…. 😉

  56. Rasputin says:

Hi Peaches, that’s bad English – its Sanchez Who? 😳

  57. peachesgooner says:

I would say that the competition at reserve level is higher and thats why they don’t shine as much also the reserves did lose a lot of players out on loan and some were promoted to the first team.

Its not really a fair comparison 🙂

  58. JonJon says:

havent the youth team been playing in the reserves most of the season anyway???

  59. peachesgooner says:

Nite London – thanks for your nice comments about peggysue 😉

  60. peachesgooner says:

    rasp 😳

  61. JonJon says:

havent the youth team been playing in the 1st team most of the season anyway????? 😆

  62. JonJon says:

i listen to that clip earlier peaches when you and london were talking about it….

they are very talented..washboards and water bottles….i was impressed…which ones little peaches????

  63. Rasputin says:

Giles Sunu looks half decent for the reserves, but I haven’t been that impressed with what Ive seen of Luke Freeman so far – but he’s got plenty of time to improve.

  64. avenell says:

What I mean is the first team is young and backed up with Gibbs, Ramsey, Merida, Barazite, Vela, Bendtner, etc.. they all have 10 years left in them.. will they all have the patience to stay and fight for a place??

  65. avenell says:

    The youth team that is..

  66. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – I thought that too but when I saw the youth team play most of them were new to me. If you can wait a while I’ll check the teams from a programme

  67. JonJon says:

didnt luke freeman cost 2mil???? or am i off the target????

  68. peachesgooner says:

ave – I agree theres a lot of talent in both the youth and the reserves teams and obviously they can’t all make it at Arsenal. Will they be patient – would you, if you wanted to play football and only got a game once a month?

  69. peachesgooner says:

Is there a difference between home grown players being patient and bought in players being patient?

Should our home grown players have greater expectations of their future with Arsenal?

I’d hate to see us buying up all the talented youth just to see them play in the reserves or on the bench.

  70. Rasputin says:

I agree Peaches …. Gibbs in particular must have caught the eye of a few premiership managers. Between 17 and 21 seems to be a critical period in a player’s development, and not all will do a Cesc/Messi, but they can still come good. I was very impressed with Barazite when he was 17, but I don’t think he has excelled out on loan

  71. peachesgooner says:

    ……a la chavski……. 😦

  72. avenell says:

That’s why I said 3 or 4 because I think it is going to be survival of the fittest when the youth policy kicks in fully.. 2 to 3 years perhaps..

  73. Rasputin says:

How many youth/reserves players have we let go that have subsequently become really good to the point that we’d wished we’d kept them … I’m struggling to think of any?

  74. JonJon says:

even if they dont make it we can make some money off them????

  75. avenell says:

Arsh has got 3 or 4 good years in him, nasri 10.. no 18 year old is going to wait on the bench that long..

  76. peachesgooner says:

Ideally if we are investing so much in cultivating our own crop of players then we have to hope that some of them ie Gibbs will turn into real stars and play for the first team.

Add the odd £15m Arshavin into the mix every year and we should be there – very soon 😉

  77. Rasputin says:

That idea that AW put forward of playing a second team in the Championship wasn’t so daft – except the teams currently playing wouldn’t have it.

  78. peachesgooner says:

Exactly JonJon – if we have a programme that develops talent and brings through players we are aways going to be able to sell them on – even benefiting from sell-on clauses as in Bentley and Muamba (? plays for Wigan or B’rum)

  79. peachesgooner says:

What we have therefore is the Arsenal Player factory – left-backs a speciality 🙂

  80. Rasputin says:

I made that point earlier peaches, and I reckon that the reputation Arsenal has for nurturing talent means that the ‘Arsenal tag’ adds a few thousand to their value.

  81. peachesgooner says:

Sorry rasp I must have missed your comment 😳

  82. JonJon says:

    thats is peaches…

who doesnt want an arsenal kid???

they will all have careers….they have all been noticed already….

  83. peachesgooner says:

    Big question then is….

Do the club get value for money for their investment if we don’t win any silverware?

  84. avenell says:

No silverware.. no worldwide support money .. no re investment.. Ajax of England..

  85. peachesgooner says:

Thats a ‘no’ from you then ave?

  86. peachesgooner says:

While JonJon and rasp are composing their answers heres another question……..

Would one trophy a year make the youth investment worthwhile? Any trophy – even the Carling Cup?

  87. JonJon says:

    its all about silverware….

    that two neys……

  88. Rasputin says:

Sorry Peaches – I’m with the guys. You felt the pain like the rest of us this afternoon watching Cashley celebrating the FA cup win 😦

  89. JonJon says:

yes peaches… CC would prove it great success….

  90. peachesgooner says:

I agree with you ave and JJ, so we approve the business model but we’re not happy with the results…..

  91. JonJon says:

cashley can go to hell and die….

or die and go to hell…

  92. peachesgooner says:

    …..and you rasp, I agree …….

  93. avenell says:

I was just being realistic.. Trophies arn’t everything.. but football is about fans and putting one over on other teams fans like the Spuds..

  94. JonJon says:

the business model is a fantastic idea….

but as in any business it must see results at the end….

if its making a profit then great the big wigs at the top will see it as success…but the fans dont see those profits…but we do see silverware….

there has to be a happy medium that we judge success on… thats both profit and silverware…

  95. peachesgooner says:

If we’d won the FA Cup and not qualified for the Champs Lge I wouldn’t have been happy…….

  96. Rasputin says:

We don’t even want to consider the 2009/2010 season being trophyless. I don’t know quite why, but I am far more optimistic about our prospects now than I was this time last year.

Ave I think its been done elsewhere, but were you considering an AR annual awards type thing – you know most improved player, unsung hero etc etc

  97. JonJon says:

no ave trophies arent everything….id follow the club into the conference…but we are in the top 4….we have been for the last 12 years…

trophies are what makes us a big team….no big team…just an almost team…and i hate that tag…..

  98. JonJon says:

i would of been happy to sacrifice the CL spot for the FA cup….

if we dont make the CL…then we concentrate solely on the PL next year….and we have another trophy….theres always a negative from a positive…

  99. Rasputin says:

Don’t turn on MOTD at the moment, the chavs are celebrating their victory…

  100. peachesgooner says:

rasp – I agree we have more things to be optimistic about than last year – Arshavin coming and van Persie keeping largely fit for most of the season are definite plusses……..

  101. avenell says:

Good Idea Rasp .. I’ll leave it with you.. we can set some polls up or something..

  102. avenell says:

Where did Deco go.. he was MOTD’s signing of the year last August?

Chavs are going to have to rebuild in the next few years and they arn’t top dog on dosh, that will be interesting..

  103. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – would you really?????????? Sacrifice 4th spot for the FA Cup????????????? Noooooooo – Champs Lge is where its at for me – only 4 of us get to compete – what if we miss out and the spuds get 4th spot – you can’t be serious 🙂

  104. Rasputin says:

Portsmouth might be about to splash the cash under their new ownership too…

Deco was amazing in his first few games but then seemed to lose interest and has had a series of injuries. I’d never want a Deco / Robinho type player to come to us just for the paypacket – they’d have to love the type of football we play…

  105. JonJon says:

    whos he???

barca have missed out there havent they..

  106. Rasputin says:

Oh JonJon …. sorry I mentioned AC – it’s set you off 😆 – some very catchy tunes there 😛

  107. JonJon says:

thats what i think of that prick…

  108. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – you really have strong feeling about him don’t you – maybe we should get a therapist in and try and help you out 😆

  109. Rasputin says:

You could say that peaches … I’m getting the impression that JonJon wouldn’t p*** in his mouth if his teeth were on fire – or is that too crude? 😳

  110. JonJon says:

only if id drank a few gallons of petrol and i had matches on me…. 😉

  111. peachesgooner says:

Much better to concentrate on heroes JJ – got anything sexy – Manu Petit, Theirry Henry, Patrick Vieira – I always had the hots for Ray Parlour 😳

  112. Rasputin says:

Rocky…ahhh there’s a fond memory….On that note, I’d like to thank you all and bid you good night.

Apologies to the mystery postwriter for not paying it the respect it deserved. Sleep well roadsters….

  113. peachesgooner says:

    Nite rasp 😆

  114. peachesgooner says:

Oh-oh, I’ve just remembered its a big mistake to ask JJ for something sexy ……. girls in long boots coming up I suspect 😆

  115. JonJon says:

    hahahahahaha go on avenell…LMAO

  116. avenell says:

I feel like alfred hitchcock with all these mysteries.. 😉

    nite Rasp..

They like all that so yes..

  121. avenell says:

  122. avenell says:

  124. avenell says:

  125. peachesgooner says:

Yeh and I get to correct my own spelling mistakes and my smileys that havn’t worked and chat with JJ who I have missed sooooooo much 😛

  126. avenell says:

You need to get some sleep peaches, unless you had a siesta at some point.. 😎

  127. peachesgooner says:

Tonight – I can go to bed and not have to get up at 4.15 to drive to Stansted – deep joy 😉

  128. peachesgooner says:

How did you know I was thinking about sleep ave…..

  129. avenell says:

I’m not saying you need any beauty sleep.. 😦

  130. avenell says:

It may have been the 2 oclock last night that gave it away..

  131. peachesgooner says:

aww and i have missed you the deserts miss the rain….

if i had a flower for every time i thought of walk forever in a garden… 😉

  137. JonJon says:

    night ave mate…

  138. peachesgooner says:

    Morning all

This is like when Arsenal lose a game – I avoided MOTD and I’m not going to look at the papers 😉

Its gorgeous here again – have to do some watering, catch up in a while……. 😆

  139. Rasputin says:

    Morning Roadsters and Roosters,

I’m coming on after peaches because the headline is “age before beauty” 😆

  140. JonJon says:

    morning guys…

reports on sky are saying anchovy is definately going to chelsea and his first signing will be sergio aguero… 😦

  141. avenell says:

If that’s the case Rasp, I should be on last.. 🙂

Morning Roadsters.. Cesc is off to Barca again.. who shall we swap him for.. Yaya and Iniesta or shall we settle for Messi?

  142. Rasputin says:

    Morning ave, JonJon

Joking apart ave, if Barca genuinely offered £45m for cesc and he wanted to go – I’d sell. Its dangerous when you hold on to players who want away, we didn’t exactly get good value out of TH in his last season. We have plenty of players vying for the central midfield role.

  143. rico01 says:

    Morning Roasters 😉

    Susan Boyle was robbed 😉

Anchovy will take Chelsea back to the Grant days, oh happy ones for us..

JJ, The DS link us to Lescott this morning, you are not their footie writer are you 🙂

    Rasp – Feather Duvet ….. Wash your mouth out 😛 😉 😛

    Ave – All three 😛

  144. Rasputin says:

Rico, Susan Boyle….. I noticed that – someone must have sneaked up on her in the middle of the night and stolen half of her eyebrow hair 🙄

  145. avenell says:

The DS? Have you got an old Citreon?

    Morning Ladies.. and you JJ..

Rasp the difference with Henry his value was decreasing because of injuries and age.. 😎
but Cesc’s value should stay the same.. we should be in a position where we can keep any player we want, even if we don’t splash the cash to buy..

We need to get in the position where we pull the strings..

  146. JonJon says:

    morning darling… lol

rico yes ive seen that…lescott for 12mil and bary for 10mil but city are making noises too….

now….let me see….will they both leave their current clubs…who are good clubs and in europe any way….to play for a top four english team with history to play on an even bigger european stage???

or will they chose to go to a team that finishes places below their current teams and will play no european football at all….

stick to the bellamys and the de jongs citeh…. 😉

  147. peachesgooner says:

rasp – I believe you’ve found your missing cheek 😆

  148. peachesgooner says:

……anyway I thought the whole point of citeh was that they could pay huge amounts of money to attractive foreign players – not Lescotts and Barry’s 🙂

Good point about no european footie at citeh 😉

  149. JonJon says:

    rasp… i agree…

ive mentioned before…if barca wanted to part with that money for cesc and he wanted out we should cry over it….

thats alot of money and we have nasri aand jack coming through….

the thing for me is that cesc is only here in the short term…he will leave one day….so rather than let him hog the midfield and use us for his development why dont we just let him go and promote jack…we know jack will stay forever so let him play there instead….in 3 years we will have the english brady with no mumblings of transfers every season….

    so why not???

    what do you think???

  150. rico01 says:

Us or City – No contest JJ 😛
That would be a great start to our transfer season if we get those two – add to that a CH and a few young ones who have the ‘beauty’ side of the game, I will be one happy cookie… 😆

    Sell Cesc… cough cough – NO 😛

Rasp, you are in a cruel mood this morning, poor old Susan Boyle 😉
She is reported to make 5M in the next twelve months – not bad eh 😉

  151. JonJon says:

if we spent 22mil and got lescott and barry id be pleased…..

then we sell ade and make that money back…..

maybe sell robin and buy tevez????

    team complete???

  152. Rasputin says:

    What’s her phone number rico – I’m going to propose … I’ve got a hedgetrimmer 😉

  153. JonJon says:

rico i was just about to post that news

dudu and rosicky arent a patch on this bloke…….

  154. JonJon says:

i wanted that sax player to win…but those dancers were brilliant…not only brilliant but creative…it was enjoyable..

  155. Rasputin says:

Blimey rico….wisdom teeth connected to muscle problems for RVP – how does that work?

JonJon, if we keep Cesc and he’s the captain and the rest of the squad know he wants to leave, what’s that going to do for morale amongst the squad? I agree with ave that we don’t want to be a ‘selling club’, but as you say, we have Nasri, AA, Denilson, Rosicky (rico) LJ, Ramsey (Diaby???) and a few others all of whom can play in the centre

  156. avenell says:

If we got Alonso I could take Cesc leaving, we have no deep creative players in midfield.. I disagree that Rosicky, Arsh and nasri can play that role.. Why Arsene tried to change the position of the one man who can play deep playmaker amazes me..

  157. JonJon says:

thats always going to be our problem though rasp as long as we dont see trophies…

our best players will always be targetted by vultures and they will be tempted…trophies are the only thing to keep them…

i dont believe for one minute vieira and henry would of stayed with us for so long if we hadnt of been a winning side…

they would of walked out after 4 years…

  158. Rasputin says:

Oops, just made a willy of myself 😦 that was an April fool wasn’t it? 😳

  159. JonJon says:

    ave id go with that….

and that wasnt the only decision wenger made either that raised eyebrows….

we need him to cut that out next season….

  160. rico01 says:

    Rasp, thats funny…

true story, my niece was on course to be a top class swimmer in her teens – she had teeth trouble and had to wear a brace after much treatment – added to that she was told that it had effected her back, someting about her spine and discs – she had to give it all up.

Lord only knows how its linked, I never asked her, well i did but didnt understand 😦 ( or maybe didnt listen 😦 )

I thought the top three were all right, what I hoped was that the voters didnt give the sympathy vote to one of the young children. That sax man was awesome, he will have a good career ahead of him now.

  161. Rasputin says:

Ave – haven’t we already seen Nasri play that role quite effectively this season. Ramsey will one day be excellent in the CM position – but not yet!

  162. rico01 says:

Spot on ave – or even Iniesta and Alonso 😉

But I would be so cross if Cesc goes, and we just bank the money – actually I would be a lot more than cross, but want to keep it polite 😉

  163. avenell says:

I don’t rate Ramsey and I didn’t think that Nasri played the deep role that well he wasn’t great against chelsea..

  164. JonJon says:

    let me help you rico

if we sell cesc for multi millions and the team see none of it i’ll be fucking pissed…. 😉

  165. JonJon says:

    i dont rate ramsey either

  166. Rasputin says:

OK JonJon, ave I’m outnumbered 😦 – remind me of this ‘Ramsey’ discussion in 2 years time 😛 – actually, add Merida and Coquelin to the 2 year deal……..

  167. rico01 says:

Thanks JJ, you read my mind 😛

Off out for a while all, whilst the sun shines – tomorrow is meant to be chilly 😦

Catch you all in a while, stay safe

  168. avenell says:

I rate le coq.. not sure about Merida..

It’s just from what I have seen of them so far.. obviously it would be better if all the potential comes good..

  169. peachesgooner says:

Well done JJ always on hand to help the ladies out with their swearing 😉

Why would Cesc go now……I don’t see him getting into that Barca team with Xavi and Iniesta in the middle

  170. rico01 says:

Merida – Now you are talking, I love him

peaches, do you think Merida is better looking than Cesc – actually, any of you guys think he is 😉

  171. avenell says:

On the forecast I got, tomorrow is hotter than today.. less clothes in newquay.. 😉

  172. rico01 says:

    Tart Ave 😉

  173. peachesgooner says:

Merida oozes je ne sais quoi rico – much better looking than Cesc IMHO 😛

  174. peachesgooner says:

    Also….in the cute stakes…….Rui Fonte 🙂

  175. Rasputin says:

Yes, but who’s got the sexiest monobrow? – I’d still go with SB 😳

  176. peachesgooner says:

    rasp – I’m with you on Ramsey 😆 😆 😆

  177. peachesgooner says:

You’ve just got brow envy rasp 🙂

  178. JonJon says:

i think jacky coquelin and jet are better already than merida ramsey and barazite

  179. rico01 says:

peaches – Fonte has gone now, which i think is a shame, portugal somewhere i think 😦

I reckon Merida will be better than Cesc, he is a tad bigger too, in height a statue I mean 😉

  180. Rasputin says:

Ramsey only performs to his potential in about 20% of games. When he’s good, he’s very good. Surely consistency is one of the main improvements that a young player will achieve when they get more experience.

  181. Rasputin says:

Van Morrison has just written a song for Susan Boyle – My brow eyed girl – very catchy 😆

  182. avenell says:

Ramsey needs more games in the reserves.. sitting on the bench all season has slowed his development..

  183. rico01 says:

He is strutting his stuff for Spain at the moment JJ, and by all accounts is going great guns – next season we will see more of him I hope, and Lansbury… Oh I could go on and on… Sunshine calls, see you later

    Rasp, 😉

  184. Rasputin says:

I agree ave. i think AW did the right thing by taking LJ back a step. I’ve suggested before that players who might be needed to sit on the bench at the weekend could at least play 45 mins for the reserves in midweek.

  185. peachesgooner says:

ave – I agree about Ramsey playing more games, Arsene has said he puts players on the bench who have performed well in training – like a gold star – seems a strange tactic to me, but what do I know…….

Player peforms well in training and sits on the bench

  186. JonJon says:

its good to have everyone back again…

ive never really seen much of merida…so i cant really compare….its unfair on him really…but from what ive seen of the others ive mentioned theyve done more to be noticed

  187. Rasputin says:

He’s got a fantastic left foot JJ. I swa him play one half of a reserve game out wide and he did OK, they moved him into the centre for the second half and he was fantastic – he ran the game. Is it just an AW thing about making players learn their trade on the wing before giving them a chance in the ceentre do you think?

  188. peachesgooner says:

Merida floats around in a Bergkampesque kind of way – hes very athletic – I saw him with Coquelin alongside him in mid-field and they were very good together.

Just looked in a programme and the reserves don’t even play every week – they have 17 fixtures in their own league. This season only Gibbs and Gavin Hoyte were used in the 1st team – and that was because of injuries……..

  189. JonJon says:

we should of just loaned ramsey back to cardiff for a couple of seasons…

i tell you whos a good little midfielder. fabian delph from leeds…hes a good good good little player…

i predict he’ll be a PL player very very soon…

  190. peachesgooner says:

…….and LJ and Mannone……sorry misinformation is my speciality…….

Only LJ played on merit 😦

  191. JonJon says:

i dont know why wenger likes to play players on the wing…

what is it with that??? you’d of thought the best place for a player to learn the game would be in the CM….you learn all aspects of it then…its the engine room….

but to develop a player on the wing like wenger does is abit puzzling….maybe it has alot to do with where wenger wants them to end up eventually….

  192. peachesgooner says:

Maybe not Cardiff JJ, they weren’t very nice to him were they…….

Do you go to watch Leeds JJ?

  193. JonJon says:

    not really peaches…

i cant stand them if im honest….

but i have been a few times this season as one of my pals gets tickets…alot of my mates are leeds diehards so if theres any spare i tag along for the football…especially if we arent playing that day…

delph stands out every game….and hes only 19..

he’s too good for that league…he will make the step up soon..

he’s one of those players that when you watch you say ‘he has it’ or ‘he doesnt’ and he definately has it…

  194. JonJon says:

*tag along for the football and the drinking*

  195. rico01 says:

Ok, who has been in the sun and got a bit red then 😉

    Not me 😛

  196. JonJon says:

    me… 😉

    and abit drunk

  197. kelsey says:

me rico but not drunk, just bronzed the real thing not the phil brown version.

have a look at about fixture pile up for the opening of the season.

Arsenal’s pre-season fixture list (unconfirmed as of yet):

13 July – FC Barcelona v Arsenal (UNICEF Charity Match)

    18 July – Barnet v Arsenal (Pre-season Friendly)

20 July – Lincoln City v Arsenal XI (Pre-season Friendly)

    29 July – Hannover 96 v Arsenal (Pre-season Friendly)

01 August – Arsenal v Atletico Madrid (Emirates Cup)

02 August – Arsenal v Rangers (Emirates Cup)

Apparentley, the 2009/2010 season starts on August 15th. This means that from our last Emirates Cup game against Rangers until the opening day of the season, there is 13 days spare. Usually we have one more friendly a week before the opening league game. champions league qualifiers are on August 18th/19th and August 25th/26th

  198. peachesgooner says:

So that means its only 6 weeks until the Barnet friendly – I get to go to that one, although I could fancy the Barca one………. 😆

    Hi kelsey 😛

  199. peachesgooner says:

    ……can’t count, its 7 weeks 😦 ……..

  200. peachesgooner says:

I’ve had a little bit of sun trying to fill in the white bits I got the other day 🙂

I’m on a hiding to nothing cos tmoro I’m going to be in a pond and I can’t really go top-less so I’ll go back to a builders tan – very fetching 😉

  201. peachesgooner says:

    ……..and I seem to be talking to myself for a change…….. 😛

  202. kelsey says:

I think the rangers match was a bad choice.they are notorious as bad fans who only cause trouble when playing away.Remember the fiasco in Manchester.

    Oh hi peaches.

  203. peachesgooner says:

I’ve just been twittered – it wasn’t painful but I don’t remember how to respond – its from another arse site – how exciting……. 😛

    Still talking to myself 😦

  204. peachesgooner says:

Are we not an attractive option to other european sides – I can’t believe that Rangers was the best offer………

  205. peachesgooner says:

…….what happened in Manchester Oh wise one …..?

  206. rico01 says:

Hi Kelsey – not a Brown brown then 😉

I love a busy pre-season. we get to watch our new signings early 😉

JJ – Good on you, I have to confess to a glass or two today 😛

peaches – hope you have some waders (spelling) 😉

  207. kelsey says:

when united played rangers in the c.l. in may 2008 they had to seal off the whole town centre and cordoned off the extra tens of thousands of rangers fans in enclosed areas to watch the game on big screens.the main screen didn’t work and it got ugly.

Well so we have the technique but we still can’t cross a decent ball, shoot outside the box accurately, and control(ask ade about that one ) 😉

  208. JonJon says:

do you think we could get a WP for this lad???

  209. rico01 says:

Bad news all, Alonso is going nowhere – Benitez has said so today on Sky – 😦 😦

But hey ho, what does Benitez know 😉

  210. rico01 says:

I am all alone, so I will go 😦

    Catch you soon

  211. JonJon says:

    im here rico..

benitez may have no choice…he may need to sell to rebuild if the stories about liverpool are truthful

  212. avenell says:

I’m not sure about those stories.. They have just extended Torres contract, if the banks were pulling there money out they wouldn’t be too happy with that..

  213. peachesgooner says:

Evening ave sweetie – I have a glass of wine now, have you had a nice day 🙂

  214. avenell says:

Okay thanks peaches.. Spent most of the day trying to load the vinyl cutting software on the new laptop, but it don’t like vista, so we have got it working on the old desktop.. £400 well spent lol..
    At least it works..

How’s the white bits coming on?

  215. peachesgooner says:

    I don’t understand why they don’t fill in quicker… 😉

They’re still shining white yyuuuuukkkkkkk 😦

Silly question I’m sure, but did you not try to load the software on the old desktop before….. 😳

  216. avenell says:

The desktop doesn’t reach the cutter (ext needed) and when I am cutting vinyl Nita cannot use the computer.
When Nita is working, I can’t blog.. 😦

  217. peachesgooner says:

Oh no, sounds like a logistical nightmare to me, poor Nita 😆

  218. avenell says:

If you want to be bored with it..:)

Our best cutting programe only works up to windows 98.. that’s on a old computer used for design. and uses the old cutter.
The next programe only worked on windows XP early version.
Kaspersky keeps blocking updates for the drivers for the new cutter..

That is a few of the problems..

we have got it to work in German.. lol.. on the wrong computer..

    headache.. Grolsch in hand though..

  219. peachesgooner says:

……no wonder you stay in bed late 😦

  220. peachesgooner says:

Heres a plan – why don’t you all plan to come to London for the Barnet game………

  221. avenell says:

I went to the Borhamwood one 3 years ago.. Sir Bobby ran into me was the highlight..It wasn’t that great TBH.. not worth a trip up on it’s own..
I’ll see what the ticket tout can come up with perhaps.. 😉

  222. peachesgooner says:

Fairy – not tout – ticket fairy 😉

  223. avenell says:

    If the cap

I was thinking that was 4 years ago.. 😦

    Cygan was the CH..

  224. peachesgooner says:

Ahhhhhhhhh Cygan – guaranteed to concede a goal when Cygan came on …….. 🙂

  225. Rasputin says:

    Cheer up everyone 🙂

  226. Rasputin says:

We didn’t always want to walk the ball into the back of the net eh? ………….

  227. Rasputin says:

Cygan … a tad better than Stepanovs – that’s the best thing I can say about him 😦

  228. peachesgooner says:

Hello – stay there, I need my glasses xx

  229. peachesgooner says:

His heading of the ball is legendary – there must be a best of………

  230. Rasputin says:

I found this clip of ave complaining that Nita wouldn’t let him on the computer 😆

  231. peachesgooner says:

    Here we go

  232. Rasputin says:

Was that his heading of the ball or balding of the head?…..

Have you found your wine glasses.

I hope ave appreciates the clip I found of him 😳

  233. peachesgooner says:

    Wine glasses 😆

  234. peachesgooner says:

His heading of the ball needed more practice – his balding of the head was perfection 😆

  235. peachesgooner says:

Hhhhhmmmmmmnnnnnnn – let me guess where you’ve gone 😉

  236. Rasputin says:

I’m still here – not much footy news or blogging activity going on 😦

  237. peachesgooner says:

I loved your clip rasp – both actually 🙂

  238. Rasputin says:

    Evening ave

  239. peachesgooner says:

Ave – you left me talking to myself – again 😦

  240. avenell says:

Are you saying rasp is a nobody?

    evening my artic circle buddy..

    one computer problem.. 😦 TBH

  241. Rasputin says:

What did you think of PV’s and Bobby’s goals in the clip peaches?

  242. peachesgooner says:

Fabulous rasp – shots from outside the box – now theres a novel idea – shall we send the clip to Arsene…….

  243. Rasputin says:

I hate computers ave – the geeks design them so that mere mortals can only use them at a certain level!

Peaches – I’m sure TA handled the ball before scoring that goal against Everton when we won the league at Highbury…. and every time I see Freddie’s goal in the FA cup final I still think it is going to miss the goal by a yard, but it bends incredibly in the last few yards.

  244. peachesgooner says:

rasp – d’you want to try and load your avatar

  245. avenell says:

What is it Rasp? i’m all excited 🙂

  246. peachesgooner says:

What about the Nigel Winterburn goal, that looked like it was miles away…….

  247. Rasputin says:

Oh, just a little ditty I conjured up in Photoshop ave …. I’m not sure how it will reproduce when scaled down though, I guess I’ll have to load it up and give it a try sometime.

  248. peachesgooner says:

I think we’re lucky they designed them simple enough for us to use them …….

  249. avenell says:

Best Arsenal goal for me was Brady’s curler into the net at the Park Lane End at SHL in 78′ then he gave it the “big un” to the shelf.. that was before the modern lightweight balls.. 🙂

c’mon Rasp load it up .. i’ll put you in as an author so your name will be in lights at the top.. 🙂

  250. Rasputin says:

I’ll have a go tomorrow ave. I’m off up the wooden hill now folks. Sleep well everyone …. 😉

  251. avenell says:

    Cheers Rasp nighty night 🙂

  252. peachesgooner says:

I have to go to bed guys – I’m paddling with fishes early in the morning 🙂

Nite nite to you both, catch up tmoro xx

  253. avenell says:

    Nighty nite too Peaches x

  254. rico01 says:

    Morning Roasters 😉

You were right ave, its going to be a hot one again today – anyone fancy a new player to be signed ??

Its going to be a long summer 😉

  255. peachesgooner says:

    Morning Roasters

I’m off to roast in a pond for a couple of hours – is that braising 🙂

    Catch you later 😛

  256. Rasputin says:

    Buenos dias Radsteros 🙂

Fab wants Xabi….. Beni says he’s going nowhere …. Xabi texted Fab all the time after he injured him …. the two are mates and must talk ….. Fab wouldn’t plead for Xabi if he knew he definitely didn’t want to leave pool …… Fab doesn’t normally release stuff to the press which is ambiguous …. the press always twist words to give another meaning …. so is Xabi likely to come to Arse ….. 20% chance IMO

  257. rico01 says:

    Back again, quiet morning,

Alonso is strongly be linked with Real Madrid – good as we know strong links mean naf all 😉

Anchovy is confirmed as Chelsea’s 100th Manager under Abramovich! This could be good news as he is a fan of Ade, and rumours are that Eboue and Gallas could alos be on their way

Gallas is the one that concerns me, unless of course there is a couple of big defenders waiting to join

  258. rico01 says:

Rasp – I think Susan Boyle was reading AR yesterday and got very upset by your comments, so much so she has been admitted into The Priory for help…

How bad do you feel now ??

    😉 😉

  259. Rasputin says:

Rico – she’s accepted my proposal – we were going to invite you to the wedding 😦

Actually, you are right (as always) maybe I crossed the line… its bad enough when footballers have to face press invasion, but for a sweet little lady from a scottish village to be put under such pressure is dreadful. I thought hshe handled herself really well when the reesult was announced but obviously it got to her later on in the evening.

  260. rico01 says:

    Rasp – I am only teasing 😉

I do feel sad for her though, from the first time she was on BGT, everyone scoffed at her, until she sang. She has a beautiful voice, but I think the press etc have been cruel and have been the cause of her breakdown.

She will get better though Rasp, can I still come to your wedding please 😛

  261. Rasputin says:

OK rico….. kilts and tam-o-shanters are obligatory, I’m just off to polish my sporran 🙄

  262. rico01 says:

    Lyon want Hleb ………

Lyon are prepared to offer Hleb a way out of Barca, thay have though stated he would need extensive pre-season training due to the muscles in his backside wasting away. Once he is able to strenghten his muscles, he will be able to undergo surgery to remove an excessive amount of splinters obtained whilst sitting on a bench in Spain..

Hleb is reported to be very grateful to Lyon for such a generous offer

  263. rico01 says:

    Be gentle Rasp 😉

  264. Rasputin says:

They should post that article up in the players dressing room rico …… was it you who asked where Cesc would fit in the present Barca midfield? – maybe Cesc was just hoping a bit of uncertainty over his future might inspire Le Boss to get his mate Xabi in ….

  265. rico01 says:

That is from me Rasp, and all done by myself 😉 😉

I hope you are right, he would be a fool to go there right now..

  266. JonJon says:

cesc wants alonso…dont mean anything though..cesc wanted villa last season… villa said on telly he’d come…

wenger said no and gave the mighty addebayor a new deal and we didnt regret that one bit did we???

  267. rico01 says:

    Morning JonJon

    Feeling positive today then 😉

  268. peachesgooner says:

Oh no, I hope that doesn’t mean that ade might stay to spite Cesc for opening his mouth…… 😦

I don’t understand about Alonso – last summer Benitez couldn’t wait to get rid of him in exchange for Barry and now he says he isn’t going anywhere……..strange man Benitez…….

    Morning JonJon, rico rasp

  269. rico01 says:

Hi peaches, hope you didnt get burnt while swimming, did you see my Hleb bit 😉

Don’t know if any of you get the AFC Magazine, but this month there is and Ade interview – if what he says is true, he isn’t looking to go anywhere this summer, and he reckons Nik has come on leaps and bounds….

  270. Rasputin says:

    Hi JonJon,

Rico – so why did Ade give the interview saying how mean the fans have been to him? If we’ve learnt one thing about Ade, it is that whatever he says can be taken with a pinch of salt – yeahh I reckon he would be very pleased that the main rival for his position has come on in leaps and bounds…NOT!

  271. peachesgooner says:

Hi rico – luckily I was only wading not swimming, cleared a mountain of blanket weed and now my hands smell like a fishmonger…….very sexy…….but I think I did manage to fill in some white marks so I don’t feel too bad…. 😉

I saw your bit about Hleb – he must have forgotten how to play surely……has Barcelona become too noisy for him…….

Ade – aaarrrggghh – someone needs to tape his mouth up 😛

  272. JonJon says:

    hi guys

ades full of crap….hes staying hes going…he loves the fans he hates bendtner he hates the fans he loves bendtner…

  273. rico01 says:

I’m only letting you all know what he said 😦

    I don’t believe a word he say’s either, honest

Bet your glad about the white bits peaches, they can be so annoying can’t they 😉

  274. rico01 says:

Where is everyone this afternoon 😦

  275. rico01 says:

Oh well, when there is noone else to talk to, why not talk to myself ?

  276. rico01 says:

This article ( if true ) I think is quite interesting, we won nothing but earned 74M and Manure, CC Winners, CL finalists (losers 😛 ) eerned 90M

And what is staggering for me, is West Brom, I dont think I ever realised ‘just’ how much it means to a Championship side to have a season in the Premiership – I really hope WBA use their money well and come straight back up

  277. JonJon says:

    sorry rico….

    been with rasputin.. 😉

  278. rico01 says:

Going back to the AFC Magazine, letting you know about Ade was not good, so on a brighter note – Henri Lansbury was also interviewed – this is a man on a mission, he said he wouldn’t mind going on loan again – am I right in thinking Scunthorpe were promoted to the Championship ? If so, I think he will go back there until Christmas.. I also have a feeling he has a big future at Arsenal 🙂

  279. rico01 says:

Dont be sorry JJ, that’s nice 😛

  280. Rasputin says:

    Hi rico,

Are you a Lansbury fan? I’m not sure, but it is very good attitude to want to go out nad learn your trade the hard way. I prefer him to Randall.

  281. rico01 says:

    Hi Rasp,

I prefer him over Randall any day – I just think he has grown up over the last year, almost as if being struck down with GF made him realise just what he has in life, and he got a totally different attitude

  282. Rasputin says:

One for the future then rico – he’s obviously a cut above Bentley and prepared to do the hard graft – good on the boy 😉

  283. peachesgooner says:

    Hi all

Lansbury went off the boil a bit didn’t he – believed the hype about how he was the next Bergkamp……he put in some very good work in the FA Youth cup games so hes got my vote 🙂

I expect he’ll be thrilled to know that…..I think he comes from around my way 😛

  284. rico01 says:

Right all, I am off to make dinner, Asparagus and other vegetables Frittata – followed by strawberries and creme fraiche….

I will leave the evening blogging to you all..

    TTFN Stay Safe 🙂

  285. Rasputin says:

See you later rico, don’t overcook the roasters 😉

  286. Rasputin says:

Blimey Peaches, Lansbury and Stavros Flatley from ‘around your way’ – what a salubrious area? 🙄

  287. JonJon says:

what a stressful day at ‘work’ 😉

    any news????

have we signed david villa yet??? 😉

  288. rico01 says:

Still noone around, so I will say Nighty Night 😦

  289. Rasputin says:

Hi rico …. nite nite rico 😦

  290. Rasputin says:

Hey ave, if you’re around, I have an idea for a post that has some relevance to life on the blogosphere at the moment……..

  291. peachesgooner says:

    Evening roasters

I’ve roasted very nicely today 🙂

I saw your stressful day at work JJ 😉 😉 😉

  292. peachesgooner says:

Hi rasp – How was your stressful day at work 😉 😉 😉

  293. Rasputin says:

    Hi peaches,

Work is always so much more enjoyable once its finished 😉

It seems that bloggers are like anti-tortoises….. go into hibernation in the summer 😦

  294. peachesgooner says:

…’re right it is awfully quiet. Have you written up your idea for a post – I can talk you through loading it into drafts if you want. I’ll just see if theres anything in there now …….

  295. peachesgooner says:

Nothing in drafts at the mo – you can write it directly into NEW POST and save it as a draft or copy and paste from a word document…. 🙂

  296. Rasputin says:

SSShhhhhh peaches …. someone might be reading this 😆

  297. peachesgooner says:

SSShhhhhhhh – like who rasp, you already said it was you…….. 😉

  298. Rasputin says:

I’m beginning to feel like I’ve got cyber-halitosis……

  299. peachesgooner says:

I just went to see if there was anything exciting to tell you from NN…….what d’you think about this wisdom teeth thing with van Persie

  300. peachesgooner says:

……maybe its the solution to the groin strains too 😉

  301. Rasputin says:

At first I thought it may be a joke but there is a basis in medical fact. Since I’m a student of the meridian system, it does not surprise me that an event in the mouth should have an impact elsewhere in the body. Certainly general health would be adversely affected by continual nagging pain.

  302. peachesgooner says:

my comments are taking forever to go through and then you’re not there 😦

  303. peachesgooner says:

    ………continual nagging pain….you don’t say 🙂

Rosicky should be next in line……just as a precaution…….. 😛

  304. Rasputin says:

I think you told me that when there are a lot of links (youtube clips) it slows down the refresh time of a site…. maybe there is a need for a new post to cleanse the system – the equivalent of taking ave’s wisdom teeth out 👿

  305. peachesgooner says:

ave sweetie are you there 😆

  306. peachesgooner says:

I’m going to bed ave, nite nite 🙂

  307. rico01 says:

    Morning Roasters 🙂

    Be back later

  308. kelsey says:

    Morning rico and all,

    no news is good news.

Rasp, did you have a very busy day at work yesterday 😉

Our summer night league started last night t 6.p.m. and it was hot hot hot, though my bowls didn’t melt.Did i tell you mine where burgundy as opposed to the standard black.(yawn) Thought you would be interested.

  309. peachesgooner says:

    Morning rico, kelsey and all

Just scoured the Times for anything arsenally and there’s nothing 😦

Funny article about Hargreaves costing Manu £1,099,200 per game. Hes not going to ready for the start of the season for them. I wonder how much Rosicky will be costing per game if he ever plays again.

Did you see the stuff about wisdom teeth kelsey – I reckon Rosicky should get a set of falsies now 🙂

  310. rico01 says:

Morning Kelsey and peaches – its going to be another hot one 😛

  311. peachesgooner says:

Hi rico – I’m off to the dentist – back in a while 😦

  312. Rasputin says:

    Morning Roasters and Roodsters 🙂

Hi kelsey, rico, peaches & those who watch but don’t post………?

I hadn’t expected the football doldrums to hit so early. No-one can give a hoot about the upcoming internationals and the ‘transfer stories’ are the same old stuff rehashed.

The chavs haven’t wasted any time appointing a new manager, I wonder how he’s going to prune their geriatric squad?

  313. rico01 says:

Morning Rasp – Not a lot of gossip around either is there, very boring 😦

One thing about Anchovy going to Chelsea, we will see whether all that Milan stuff was a pile or poo or not, as if Anchovy ‘really’ rates Ade he will one of the first players on his transfer list..

I say, if The Russians want Ade, lets get Essien 😉
But in saying that, do we want another potential crock, who will be missing for ACON.. ??

Is is definate that the ACON is going to be moved to the summer ?

  314. rico01 says:

Thats a good question Rasp, about who will leave Chelsea..

First out – Deco, Ballack, Drogba, Malouda, Mikel

  315. kelsey says:

Actually, iam quite happy that the media attention will focus on chelsea for the next few days, though i have been racking my brains out to see the connection between wisdom teeth and RVP’s injuries.

  316. Rasputin says:

    Hi-de-hi rico,

I’d love to have Essien too, but we’ve got about as much chance as we have in getting Benzema 😦 I can’t see why they’d want Ade if Drogba is staying. It’s being said that Annelka could be off – I know who I’d prefer to have out of Ade and Anne!

If you include manu and pompey, there are now at least 4 clubs n the prem that can/will pay silly money for players so Arsene’s cunning nose will have to sniff out some bargains for us I think…..

  317. rico01 says:

    Ho-de-ho Raspy 😛

  318. rico01 says:

You wait and see, we will get Malouda 😦

  319. Rasputin says:

Kelsey – are you taking over from me today? 😆

  320. Rasputin says:

Oh no, not malouda. Toon will be having a clear out – I don’t want Bassong either thanks 😦

  321. rico01 says:

peaches has gone to the dentist, i bet she asks him about the connection 😉

I think it is something to do with the spinal alignment..

No Bassong Rasp, we cant have a Billong and a Bassong 😉

  322. rico01 says:

I know many will shout at me for this but I would take Taylor from Necastle – I know he is a bit of a thug, but he is a hard defender ….

    He just needs guidance 🙄

  323. Big Raddy says:

No-one at Toon worth having, nor at WBA or Boro.

No…. we need winners. Ferdinand would be a good start, or Alex. Throw in YaYa and we have a team !

I think Babel is a definite possibility as an Ade replacement. Though I would prefer the money to be spent elsewhere in the team.

As to Ade’s comments. How stupid does he think the fans are ? Of course he wants away – trouble is no-one else will pay outrageous wages to an inconsistent striker.

    Going to school. Blog later…

  324. Rasputin says:

    🙂 rico

Hi Raddy, Babel made out he really wanted to come to us before pool came in for him. I think he’s been a disappointment to them. Pace alone is not enough, Ribery has pace and tricks – Theo needs to develop more than just pace.

  325. kelsey says:

    No chance rasp,

tried to make a valid post, but in vain as I expected.I will not continue,it’s a pointless exercise. At least I tried.

  326. Rasputin says:

    Well done kelsey 😛

I’d prefer to have RSC over Babel if AW believes he needs a replacement for Ade…….

  327. rico01 says:

kelsey – have you got a post you want to put up ??

  328. rico01 says:

Ah, I think I have cottoned on, you have tried somewhere else and got greeted with the same old 😦

  329. Rasputin says:

Its like Eduardo has become the forgotten man again….we do have riches in the attacking midfielder/striker role………..

……..Arsenal striker Eduardo is confident he has put his latest injury worries behind him, and is already looking forward to next season.
The Croatia international made an earlier-than-expected return from his broken and dislocated ankle in February, but was then troubled by a succession of more minor problems.

Eduardo was sidelined by a groin injury and then had further corrective surgery on his troublesome ankle last month.

But the Brazil-born striker insists everything is now fine and says he is looking forward to pre-season training at Arsenal.

“I feel good,’ the 26-year-old told the Croatian Jutarnji newspaper. I am not in pain after the operation or with my groin and everything is going according to plan.”

“Preparations at Arsenal for me and four other injured players will begin on July 1 and I will have to head to London then, but before that I will go to Zagreb.”

  330. rico01 says:

Rasp – I just hope he doesn’t play in any international games, we can’t afford it, he and Thomas will be fit and raring to go come August, and I cant wait 😛

  331. avenell says:

    Morning roadsters..

Bendtner is going to sign a new 4 year deal.. good news rico.. 😉

Peaches.. did you want me last night or was it just an enquiry?

  332. rico01 says:

Morning ave, just up then 😉

Terrific news on Nik, which club is he signing for ……. 😉 😉

  333. avenell says:

That one in the west end where he got pictured with his troosers down.. 🙂

  334. kelsey says:

must be a world record for you ave, up at 10.31 when both rico and i have already done a days work

  335. avenell says:

Morning Kelsey.. I never posted yesterday so that is a 34 hour lay in..

No I have been working.. 😦

  336. avenell says:

And I have to go and get a ABS light taken off now.. long story.. 😦

    see ya!!

  337. JonJon says:

how much are we getting for bendtner??? 😉

    morning all…

im really confused…if i say that we arent as good as the other teams im anti arsenal and im a naughty boy

then if i say if we do things right this summer we can catch chelsea and pool next year im deluded???

    go figure….

anyway…whats the arsenal latest??? have we sold ade and diaby yet??? have we bought villa and alonso???

  338. Rasputin says:

    Morning JonJon,

Are you having a day off 😆

  339. JonJon says:

yes im phoning in sick today rasp… 😉

    cant be bothered..

  340. rico01 says:

Morning JJ – You being naughty again 😉

kelsey – days work already, spot on there 🙂

  341. kelsey says:

    JonJon morning,

you might have seen I wrote a post today with all the best intentions and was told in no certain way to f*** off, by the lefties.i was really trying to stop these hostilities, but to no avail.Well at least i tried.

  342. kelsey says:

I wonder if peaches will never have a groin strain again, after her visit to the dentist 🙂

  343. rico01 says:

Rumours are that Wandi (wish i stayed at Seville) Ramos is being replaced, not by our fine manager though – who on earth of sane mind would manage Real Madrid…..

mmm – me for a couple of months, and take a huge payout having been sacked very early 😛

  344. JonJon says:

    i seen kelsey…

well done…once you are stereotyped thats it mate…theres no way back for us now…especially me…

i cant understand what the deal with rasp is though…the only reason why the dont like him is because he posts on another site and he says im a nice bloke…

its got nothing to do with arsenal..a point ive made many a time…oh well..fuck it…talk to the hand cos the face aint listening…. 😉 naughty?? never!!!!!

  345. rico01 says:

kelsey – as long as the dentist doesn’t 😉 😳

  346. rico01 says:

No JJ, but Arsene has bought a Villa, its in France 😉

  347. rico01 says:

JJ – Is there a new post looming anywhere ?? 😉

  348. kelsey says:

I did say dentist “you are so naughty”

Apparently pennant and his mates where on the beach yesterday,so if he is there again today I will get my son to sound him out.

JJ, honestly I couldn’t have put it nicer, could iit is some strange cult, with an unusual pecking order.Anyway, time to move on.

  349. kelsey says:

Pompey want old harry back. Wouldn’t be surprised if he went, money speaks all languages.

  350. peachesgooner says:

Dentist update – forgot to ask about the wisdom teeth connection 😳

Off to a ‘root canal specialist’ now to remove the bit of the gold screw that broke off in my gum when my crown came out – deep joy 😦

    I’ll have a chance to ask my dentist……tomorrow 😉

  351. JonJon says:

i will be doing one for tomorrow rico..or the day after..depending on the others….i got something up my sleeve

not sure about today though…unless somebody surprises us… 😉

  352. Rasputin says:

I’ve just heard from peaches and she’s having to have some major excavation work done … rico….I think the dentist may need to wear a cricket box 🙄

  353. Rasputin says:

I’d love it if ‘Arry went back to pompey….what a tart….

  354. JonJon says:

then strachan can go to spurs and we can start the triangle joke again…. 😉

  355. rico01 says:

Taison – what say we sign him 😛

  356. rico01 says:

Blimey peaches, pond yesterday and canal today, you do get around 😉

  357. rico01 says:

Blimey peaches, pond yesterday and canal today, you do get around 😉

  358. rico01 says:

    Rasp 😉

kelsey – do you think Pennant will know anything, he’s thick 😉

You could ask him where he hides his tag 😛

  359. JonJon says:

rasp..its probably the same place he keeps his mobile phone…. 😆

speaking of cashley…anchovy has said hes going to strengthen chelseas defence… Where???

does that mean players like carvalho will be available??? 😉

  360. kelsey says:

  361. kelsey says:

A class of five-year old students are learning to read.
One of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said,
“Look at this! It’s a frickin’ elephant!”

The teacher took a deep breath, then asked…”What did you call it?”

“It’s a frickin’ elephant! It says so on the picture!”

    And so it does…

    ” A f r i c a n Elephant “

  362. rico01 says:

    kelsey – very good 😛

  363. Rasputin says:

Aston Villa have confirmed that midfielder Gareth Barry is in talks with Manchester City. (Sky Sports 1223 BST)

  364. Rasputin says:

Tottenham are keen to sell defender Pascal Chimbonda to Blackburn for about £3m as the Londoners chase Marseille utility man Lorik Cana, who is valued at £5m……Nooooooooooooo…. I want him 😦 He’s a steal for £5m

  365. rico01 says:

Bloomin heck Rasp – he would be mad to leave Villa for City, I reckon MO’N will sell to them though to teach Barry a lesson – And they will get mega bucks

    Bloody Spuds….. !!

  366. raif says:

hey hey people how are you guys doing 😀

  367. JonJon says:

    rasp…i second that….

i like his agression….anything over 10 mil would of been too much but 5’s a steal…

  368. rico01 says:

Hi raif, good thanks, how are you ??

    Long time no see 😦

  369. raif says:

yeah long time indeed. been so busy at home and with work

the window is now open. i hope we start buying some much needed players

  370. JonJon says:

hey up raify,,, you good mate??

  371. avenell says:

F**k i’m pissed off.. I put a new cv joint on a passat and the ABS ring came off it (faulty part) that caused the ABS light to come on .. I replaced it and went to the garage to get the light taken off and they have got the key stuck in the door lock..
So I had to strip it down there and they have broke the lock .. VW don’t have one and the car is going to france tomorrow..

  372. raif says:

hey JonJ. im good thanks mate.. ho have u been?

  373. Rasputin says:

I’ve got a left handed screwdriver and a glass hammer you can borrow ave if that’s any help 😳

  374. Rasputin says:

    Hi Raif,

Did you see that I made a contribution to your ‘terminology catalogue’ 😉

  375. raif says:

ohhh ill check it now Rasputin 😉

  376. raif says:

A Broken Lazybone HAHAHA.. i like that one

  377. Rasputin says:

My alternative suggestion for ‘Frimpong’ relating to ladies and body gasses didn’t make it 😳

  378. JonJon says:

    im good raif…

    what do you say raif??

    cana alonso or barry???

avenell..soz mate cars aint my thing…

  379. raif says:

Ill Say Alonso as i know and have seen him more then the rest. His also got more experience then the other 2

  380. JonJon says:

    cesc agrees with you raif…

broken lazybone…that one still cracks me up..

  381. raif says:

i think liverpool would want more then the 18 mill they askd for him last season now since his been one of their best players.

Barry on the other hand, his value could have droped some what.. but we would still value him lower then the asking price. and Man City would be the only team stupid enough to stamp up the cash

  382. Rasputin says:

    Daily Mail…….
This story is gaining momentum, but why would Cesc come out with all the Alonso stuff if he was going. Maybe its “get Alonso or I’m off”

“Cesc Fabregas is reportedly close to signing for Barcelona. The 22-year-old heads a list of five targets drawn up by Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

Barcelona are encouraged by a stream of praise from Fabregas, who last week told a Catalan radio station that anyone would want to play for the newly crowned European champions.

In demand: Barcelona have targeted Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and the newspaper claims ‘reliable sources’ believe there is already a ‘firm agreement’ that their former trainee will rejoin the club next month.
It is estimated the fee would be in excess of £40million, though Barca could offer players in exchange or a significant chunk of cash in performance-related clauses.”

  383. peachesgooner says:

Ouch ouch ouch – not really looking for sympathy 😦

Hey raif – how are you, hows all the family – I bet your little one is smashing 😆

How can spuds want Cana – they bought Palacios……

  384. raif says:

the spuds are stupid.. they have more money then brains. im looking forowrd to them selling Bently. we could do with a that extra %’age 😀

and hello Peaches, im doinf fab thanks. the little man has grown his 7 months now.

take a look of him 🙂

  385. raif says:

    someone check the spam please

  386. peachesgooner says:

Hey raif, theres nothing in spam, what have you lost?

  387. Rasputin says:

He’s a little cracker raif – and great taste in clothes too 😉

  388. raif says:

ahh its there now. it was the link i posted above 🙂

  389. rico01 says:

raif, he is a cutie – beautiful big brown eyes 😛

  390. kelsey says:

    Hi raif,

    just like my youngest grandson;)

Very sad about Susan Boyle, she suffered brain damage when she was born, the cord being wrapped around her neck.i can sympathise with her problems very well. it would have been better if it had to come out at all in the tabloids and media,if they had stated that beforehand not after the event. There is no cure for what they call “learning disabilities”. I doubt she will be able to fulfill a full time career.

  391. rico01 says:

Hopefully kelsey she will earn a few pounds from all of this, one year is being reported to earn her 5M, I think its all really quite sad, just hope she is strong enough to get through it

  392. rico01 says:

Guys and Gals – honest, look up this footballer, now if there has to be a 21 year old joining, it has to this lad..

i did mention himearlier, but no response 😉

    Taison Barcellos Freda

  393. rico01 says:

Very interesting, this is more like a player we could sign

  394. rico01 says:

Guess I will speak to you all later,

David Villa has signed for Portsmouth ….. 😉

  395. rico01 says:

Barry to Manure City seems concluded, he is having a medical !!

So he is not coming our way – Good or bad ?

  396. avenell says:

I’d rather he went to the dippers then we could buy Alonso… 😦

  397. rico01 says:

I am not so sure ave – i dont think the dippers will sell him anyway, but if they do, i reckon he will join Madrid, unless of course he loves London (the city, not the blogger ) 😉

Did you see the clip on the ‘brazillian’ kid – he looks so good…

Talking of London, havent seen him for a while, is he ok do you know ??

  398. avenell says:

No I haven’t looked back.. yet.
Alonso might want to join Cesc and he likes england..
I don’t think we will buy until late on in the window.. we will probably let Man city, Portsmouth and Chelsea will have there pick before we let them know our targets..

London sent me an email a day or so ago, he was okay then.. I haven’t had time to reply yet.

  399. London says:

    I’m fine

  400. London says:

Very kind of you to enquire.

  401. kelsey says:

If Barry joins City he is a fool or just as all the others now, looking for the best monetary deal.Wrong choice in my opinion,Liverpool far more high profile club, guaranteed a top 4 and in the CL.

  402. kelsey says:

have you any view on Alonso being an asset for us or not.

  403. peachesgooner says:

    What a gorgeous evening 🙂

You’d have thought the boss would have learnt that Alonso might be better in our team so he can’t put Cesc out for 4 months…… 😛

I remember Thierry Henry saying something like that when Sol Campbell – swooooooon – moved our way – ‘I’m pleased he will play for Arsenal he always managed to give me a kicking’

  404. rico01 says:

Hi London, good to see you 😆

I was reading you view on peaches daughter’s band, are you a music man ? like you i thought they sounded really good, and that was on my pc, i would love to hear them with my own ears.. but hey, please don’t think i know anything about music, i just like what i like – Abba 🙂

kelsey – Alonso or Cana, thats the question ?

  405. peachesgooner says:

I still have a big hole in my mouth but the metal pin is now gone and tomorrow I’m going to get my crown back – just in time to be sympathetic to kelsey 😆

  406. peachesgooner says:

…..and raif – your little man is delicious 😆

  407. JonJon says:

barry has joined city…its been confirmed for 12mil..

mmmm..interesting…not really the big name i wanted any way so im not too bothered about that one…and if hes gone to citeh then more fool him…it just shows how good he thinks he is…

alonsos the one i want….but i cant see that hapening now barrys gone to citeh not pool….

i bet wenger signs nobody…he’ll tell us rosicky and dudu are like new signings and he’ll bring senderos back….we’ll lose cesc to barca and wenger will tell us we are ready to challange…

    watch this space..

  408. peachesgooner says:

Talking to myself for a change – I’d better go and water some plants. See you in a bit 🙂

  409. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – you have save the ‘dudu and rosicky are like new signings’ until at least the middle of July 😆

  410. rico01 says:

Queenie peaches with her new crown 😉

Hope you are not in any pain peaches 😦

  411. kelsey says:

Can we please change the subject of teeth,it’s all RVP’s fault in any case.

What is remarkable with the Barry deal is that it was all wrapped up including medical in under 24 hours.

  412. peachesgooner says:

    Ha ha thanks rico 🙂

Actually I did feel a bit royal today with rasp putting up a bulletin too 😉

No pain in the mouth – only I suspect there’ll be an ouch when I know how much it costs 😆

  413. rico01 says:

Barry – what a twerp he is, a moved forced by Villa I think, and only because he has one more year on his contract….

You wait and see, he will be crocked for most of the season, Arsene thinks this too you know 😉

  414. peachesgooner says:

Sorry kelsey – I did say mine would be all better by the time I need to lavish sympathy on you 😆

I thought MoN was offering Barry a good deal to stay at Villa – if he stayed he could have gone on a free next year……

  415. rico01 says:

I am off all, got quorn fajitas to eat, fresh chillies and soured cream…. yummy yum

stay safe and catch up soon 🙂

  416. Rasputin says:

    Evening all,

I don’t blame the club for being secretive about their transfer targets – Real Madrid, Milan, chavs, citeh, pompey, manure and a few others are all in a position to outbid us if they choose. I think pool’s situation is interesting. Alonso doesn’t get on with beni so there is a chance we may nab him in the last week of the window……

  417. avenell says:

It was okay buying Barry .. but Man City will have to stump up £25 million in wages if he stays all through his contract..
So the package is worth £37 million..

  418. peachesgooner says:

…….sounds like deja vu to me rasp….. 🙂

  419. peachesgooner says:

But Man City have a bottomless pit ave, they’re not bothered about the money – they just want to buy everyone…….its like the first couple of rounds of Monopoly… 😉

How are you ave sweetie – did you solve your car problem…..

  420. kelsey says:

City will continuw to buy, as will Chelsea, not sure about Unied with Scholes and Giggs nearing the end of their careers and the Tevez situation to be resolved, who is linked with Liverpool, who, if reports are correct cannot buy without selling,as the bank loan extension is up next month.

So all in all I don’t expect much movement if any unless we sell first,Ade being the prime example.

Having read that our coffers are getting fuller season after season it is becoming increasingly hard to understand why we aren’t in the market to buy quality not the left overs nobody else wants,or others we have never heard of.

    deja vu indeed.

  421. avenell says:

I’m okay thanks Peaches, I ended up sealing the lock in.. You wouldn’t beleive that job it would make you cry.. 😦

I hope your tooth probs get sorted.. I’m trying to build up courage.. 🙂

Yes Man City can afford it.. there is a stupid stat that if the barrel of oil goes up a cent they could buy a new ground..

  422. JonJon says:

hahaha peaches..thats because im a troll..

im not bothered over barry.. i said at the time we were linked to him the only positive i could take from it was the right foot left foot combo…

but id prefer veloso for that…..

    37mil ave ??? hahahahahahahaha….

good luck to the pair of em… barry wants to play CL football… i dont see that coming any time soon at citeh….

the list of their big names grows ever stronger… given, bellamy, barry…..

    oooohhhh im trembling….

  423. kelsey says:

my children think i have a bottomless pit, know what I mean 😉

  424. kelsey says:

Number 3 troll saying goodnight all 😉

  425. Rasputin says:

JonJon – how much do you think veloso would cost? There was a story not so long ago of someone offering £5m for him….that would be another steal. I can’t see AW going for Cana

  426. JonJon says:

    night kelsey…

isnt their a nursery ryme or something about trolls..and goats???? and a bridge???

or is it the beer talking???

  427. Rasputin says:

Peaches – what did you mean about deja vu – had somebody already made those points?

  428. peachesgooner says:

clip clop clip over the rickety bridge went the three billy goats gruff……..

  429. peachesgooner says:

What have you been drinking rasp …..didn’t we try to buy Alonso at the end of the transfer window last season……isn’t that what you said…….isn’t that deja vu

  430. Rasputin says:

Duurrrr – sorry, I’m just being a bit thick. No alcohol has passed my lips yet. I’m just about to eat a Thai red curry cooked by my son…..

  431. JonJon says:

when veloso first broke onto the scene a copule of seasons back sporting had him tied down on a contract so demanded 22 mil… we were linked then but obviously that much for a 20 year old was abit much…

i think hes only got 18months left and hes said he’ll let it run down if he has to…hence the reason he was getting death threats from the fans…

and some ppl think our fans are the worst????? go figure…

bolton amost picked him up for 12…but he changed his mind because he wants CL footy….

so i reckon 12 mil would do it…

  432. peachesgooner says:

Thai red curry – very impressive – hope you both enjoy it 😆

  433. Rasputin says:

Do you think our side/squad could accommodate Veloso and Alonso? It’d be goodbye to Diaby and maybe a couple more…..

  434. peachesgooner says:

Its going a bit far to expect AW to be so indulgent as to buy both……

Alonso has premiership experience and Cesc would be really happy to have him ……. Veloso might take 6 months to bed in ……so Alonso gets my vote but is he going to come onto the market?

  435. JonJon says:

diaby would be no big loss..hes scored a few goals this season ut besides the goals its fair to say hes been one of our poorest players this season….alot of stinkers and its always for the same reason…the same mistakes..hes what 22??? if he hasnt learnt by now how to release a ball quicker or whats around him he never will….

no matter who we sign he needs to go somewhere else…fair do’s if a player is learning his trade…but you want to see the development…you want signs of improvement….diabys the same player every game and its becoming boring…you always know what to expect from him…

but going back to the original point…yes i would take them both..but one would do…either or for me…

  436. Rasputin says:

It won’t be either will it peaches? – I was just pondering 🙄

  437. avenell says:

Is that right about Kaka going to madrid for 65 mill euros.. They should have sold him to City..

If I was Madrid I would flog him to City for £100 mill for a laugh.. good deal that lol..

  438. Rasputin says:

“Kaka has reportedly agreed to move to Real Madrid in a world record £56 million transfer, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

Only this morning, the AC Milan playmaker insisted that he wanted to stay at the San Siro, but it now seems like the club have decided to cash-in on their prized asset.

Cadena Ser claims that Kaka’s father and agent, Bosco Leite has confirmed that the two parties have agreed a deal, following talks between newly appointed Madrid president Florentino Perez and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.

Kaka’s spokesman Diogo Kotscho has confirmed that Madrid have come in for the player, but insisted a deal was still a long way off.

“Kaka will listen to Real and decide whether or not to make the transfer,” said Kotscho.”What I can say for certain is that the Spaniards and Milan have not reached any agreement.”

  439. JonJon says:

real have confirmed it… 56 mil squids…but milan and kaka have yet to announce anything….

maybe theres an opening to take flamini back??????

seeing as though milan are crumbling???

if we sell ade to them now for peanuts i’ll go mad

theyve got the money (if theyve sold kaka) it was them who unsettled him..we should make them pay huge…

  440. peachesgooner says:

Sadly I think you are right – it won’t be either, but we can dream for a while 😦

  441. JonJon says:

this is the best i could find…theres not much of him on the net…but its a sneak preview for those unlike rasp and me who dont know much about him…

i get a petit crossed with a beckham vibe from this player…and he’ll sell shirts…

  442. peachesgooner says:

Yep, changed my mind – haven’t had a blonde pony tail for a few years – I’ll take him 😉

He scores from free kicks 😆 😆 😆

  443. JonJon says:

he’s one of those players that when you watch you just know hes good….

you dont need stats to prove it…

denilsons stats are impressive but when you watch denilson you just dont see it..

thats the way i like to judge a player…

    henry good player

    essien good player

    cesc good player

    arshavin good player

    alonso good player

    veloso good player

denilson good player because the stats say so

see the difference???? the real good players dont need that stats tag after their name to prove it….you just see it…

  444. peachesgooner says:

Thats just what you need – a girlie approach to buying players ……..

Didn’t we play this game a few weeks ago rasp – you set the girls the task of picking the yummiest team to play against a boys choice…..

  445. JonJon says:

some portugeezer has done a compilation of his best freekicks…it goes on for about 11 mins theres loads of them but i cant find it… 😦

that left foot is sweet and it would be nice not to see the ball go into space for once when we have a freekick outside the box… 😆

  446. JonJon says:

    peaches… 😳

thats what i meant when i said he’d sell shirts.. 😆

the female gooners will love him…

  447. peachesgooner says:

I know what you mean JJ – some players just ooze class – we used to have a team full of them – they went unbeaten for 49 games…..

It beggars belief that we now have a team that are so far away from those days – I hope he knows what hes doing……Arshavin has that class, thank goodness someone does 🙂

  448. avenell says:

They have done a compilation of RvP’s free kicks .. the commentator is Tommy Walsh and it’s sponsered by Cuprinol.. lol Cuprinol hehehe.

  449. Rasputin says:

I hope you’re not being shallow in your choice of players peaches 😆

  450. JonJon says:

the new mrs jonjon has become an arsenal fan…shes been converted…she asked me who id like us to sign and i showed her that clip and she said……

and i quote ‘hes well sexy, id support arsenal forever with him in the team’

i lived with a girl a few years ago and it took me ages to convert her…but the day reyes signed it wasnt as tough for some resaon..she gave in quite easily and started watching the games with me…

  451. avenell says:

And it’s on statelite TV.. 😉 Yeh I know Statelite.. that’s how Del boy says it.. 🙂

  452. JonJon says:

    LMAO ave… 😆

  453. peachesgooner says:

Oh no rasp – I dug really deep for that one – I watched JJ’s video more than once to make an informed judgement……promise I did…… 😆

  454. peachesgooner says:

    😳 …..I don’t get it ave….

  455. rico01 says:

    Morning Roadsters 😛

Kaka is a bad as Ade, I’m staying, but I will see what happens!!!! Knob 😉

  456. rico01 says:

Guys and Gals – I have stuck up a ‘new post’, just to see if the comments etc go through quicker, it was taking ages 😦
