Flipper Talks too much..

Lassana Diarra  has opened that great big trap of his yet again. If Arsene Wenger OBE ever leaves Arsenal I hope it is to become France coach ” Dolphin Head  your international career is over”.. hahaha.

Oh and thanks for the dosh, we have put it with Bentley’s and bought  Arshavin out of it..

Lassana you could learn a bit from the man who you helped pay for though..

Andrei said  ‘At Arsenal I feel at home.  I like everything here – the friendly team, a wise and experienced manager, and fantastic fans. I won’t leave the club for any money”.

Villa play Everton tomorrow so “come on the Toffee’s!”    That could be handy,  get Villa off our backs at last..

We face Wigan.. I think we may of picked a good day, I heard Sir Alex Bruce  talking yesterday about  Amr Zaki who has gone “crocodile” for them, done a  ” Reggie Perrin” he chucked his clothes in the Nile delta  and wasn’t seen for a few days.. Steve was not a happy bunny “We will not have the lunatics running the asylum”.  So that  must have caused unrest in the Wigan secure hospital..

This is the dawn before the storm.. After Wigan it’s the big boys.. Villareal, Chelsea in the Cup and the Dippers in the League..  No rest til Boro. as if playing a team fighting for survival is a rest..

Clichy is out for those two weeks, Is it step up to the plate young Mr Gibbs or dig out the second hand old Manc from the treatment room?  I’d go with Gibbs he would offer more going forwards and we have enough defensive midfielders to cover for him. The only thing I hope is if Silvestre does play, please not with Song and Denilson in the same team..

Almunia out for three weeks, that is okay unless their is a time when the sub needs subbing then “oh dear”  we are in a bit of trouble .. Let’s not think about that problem, but it is a big test for Fabianski he is thrown in at the deep end to see if he can fill Manuels boots,  he is well capable as long as his confidence stays high.

Robin is facing a fitness test and Arsene has said that he will rotate the squad. Nikki needs a run, he always looks lazy and out of touch when he drifts in and out of the team.

So a strange looking line up perhaps..

…………………..Fabianski.

Sagna….. ..Toure……….JD……….. Gibbs.

Eboue……Fabregas…. Denilson… Arshavin

……………..RvP……………. Nikki boy..

I’m going to go for another 2-0 win to us as we won’t be fully up for this one.. Nah I’m going to be more positive 3-0 and St Totts  day will be a good one.. A clean sheet will be a good omen for Wendesday as that will see us through….

If you haven’t got your predictions in you won’t win the holiday..  😉

    Flipper – 😛

Top of the morning all, i have to go now, have a great day

    😉

  2. peachesgooner says:

    Morning all

I know rico has gone but I read that interview with Theo and it brought me to tears – I think hes really great, anyone who thinks he should be sold needs to think again IMHO

What a yuk day, yesterday I got trapped in my greenhouse when it started raining……got a lot done though……

I’ll have 2-0 to us please

    Anyone around?

  3. peachesgooner says:

Have a nice day rico – I hope it stops raining soon 🙂

  4. avenell says:

    Morning Peaches..
    I’ll put you down for a 2-0. 🙂

  5. London says:

    Morning Everyone again

    Good post Ave

My team and we win 3-1

    ——-Fabianski
    Sagna,Toure,Djourou,Sylvestre
    Walcott,Fabregas,Denilson,Arshavin
    ——RVP,Adebayor

The only reason I haven’t gone with Gibbs is because I think Wenger will use this as a test run for Tuesday, once he sees how it works I expect him to bring on Gibbs.

  6. chaf says:

Flipper. What a great description. I can imagine him treading water with his head resting on the side of the pool…

  7. London says:

I was writing this when a new post was called so I am going to repost.

I’m quite envious of you guys being able to remember your first game. You know in the begining of the book Fever Pitch when the mother and father split up and the Dad gets the boy and has to think of something to do on Saturday with him, so he takes him to Arsenal. Well, a similar thing happened to me, although, in my case, my Dad and Grand Dad being originally from Islington and were both Arsenal supporters so they naturally took me to THOF. The problem is that, at the age of 5, I went every week and I can’t remember who we were playing but I can remember going with my Dad and Grand Dad which in some ways I value more.

  8. avenell says:

    Haha morning Chaf and London..

When Diarra runs on the pitch he sups on his lucuzade, swallows some then blows the excess out the top of his head..

  9. chaf says:

Then he lays on his side and makes some funny noises, and they say ” Whats that Diarra? Some men are stealing a boat in the next bay?” No wonder Portsmouth was so attractive to him…..

  10. kelsey says:

    Morning ave,
hope you didn’t mind my earlier tongue in cheek new post 🙂

that is a very fine post yourself.

  11. peachesgooner says:

kelsey I loved your NEW POST

ave I loved your NEW POST too

Have a read of this, the board want to tie Arsene down

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/arsenal/article6074280.ece

  12. avenell says:

I must admit that’s a bit of a blur Chaf.. I start to get mixed up with Skippy..

I remember my first game, I wish my dad liked football.
It was my mates 8th Birthday and his dad took 8 of us to Arsenal Chelsea 1971 and we won 2-0..
The next year was better it was just 2 he took, against Derby and we had a meal at a resturant within the ground.
I only remember the chocolate ice cream and everyone giving Cloughy stick as he came out to get on the team bus..

  13. London says:

I bet that chocolate ice cream was delicious 😉

  14. avenell says:

    Morning Kelsey.. Thanks 😉

I heard that on the radio this morning Peaches, he never does though should be interesting to see the outcome..

  15. peachesgooner says:

I reckon he’ll need to show his hand earlier rather than later if there are rumblings of a take-over this summer.

Also in the times is a great interview with swoon Campbell – actually a couple of great pictures – be still my beating heart…….I could just get away with Sol being a toy-boy at least hes in his thirties!!!

  16. kelsey says:

My uncle supported Chelsea and in those days Arsenal seemed always to play at Home when Chelsea were away,so he took me as a kid to Stamford (half empty) Bridge.I swear he would park the car right outside the ground, buy tickets and we could sit wherever we wanted to.

I can’t compare the emirates to Highbury,as i have never been to the emirates, but by all accounts the smaller ground and smaller pitch always seemed to generate a hell of a noise, usually started by the north Bank, which appears to be lacking at our new home.

  17. peachesgooner says:

Sorry 😳 maybe I should save that for later…..

  18. kelsey says:

    peaches,
it’s all going to happen,Gazidis is OK with Wenger, and we won’t make the same mistake as last summer by not strengthening with experience, and relying too much on the understudies.kroenke will make a move,i am sure, but in this world wide recession period,it will be gradual. The future looks bright, the future is ARSENAL

  19. avenell says:

If you need more noise at the Emirates, just keep a copy of the Times next to Peaches seat.. 😉

  20. peachesgooner says:

I’ve been to all the big games at the Emirates and I can tell you that the noise generated by the crowd for a spud game or to abuse Cashly is immense. Its like the crowd gear themselves up for it.

Don’t forget that Highbury was known as the library in the last few years.

Sometimes its hard to be vocal when you’re nervous or when the team are playing amazing football – I often feel that I don’t want to disturb them when they’re concentrating 🙂

  21. London says:

I often feel that I don’t want to disturb them when they’re concentrating.

    That is a Peach. lol

  22. avenell says:

Do you remember at West Ham in the eighties? The ICF never sung, it seemed to be the done thing then..

  23. chaf says:

    Ave

Can you imagine the curfuffle of trying to take eight kids to the footie now? Thats probably about 450 on tickets (including your own), 20 on transport, 21 on programmes, 40 at half time for the hot dog meals, and another 16 on chocolate ice cream.

The noise can be good at the Emirates, but its not the same sound as Highbury. Call me old fashioned but I preferred it.

  24. avenell says:

When we went the second time, we drove to Wood Green underground and My mates dad had a top of the range Zepher (the square one) and he left it there during all day while we had a meal etc.. I cannot imagine that happening now either.. lol..

I do’t like all this sitting down buisness chaf, I blame them scousers..

  25. chaf says:

I like the option. When it was standing, those were the times when we’d go to the pub first and cane it, so it was difficult to go for pee and fight your way back.

Now I don’t drink so much, and its seating, its much easier, in fact when we choose our seats we picked a ‘convenient’ place. Thats sod’s law.

  26. chaf says:

By the way, I’m working this afternoon, got a very big ego coming in! I will be surrounded by computers, if anyone gets a good view of the game can they stick the link up. I usually go up the pub but I’m stuck today

  27. Rasputin says:

    Afternoon Roadsters,

I think the problem with noise at the Emirates is purely architectural/acoustical – it is not possible for the whole crowd to chant the same song as the time lapse makes it incoherent. Add to that the loss of the defined areas with the ‘banks’ at Highbury and the fact that season ticket holders chose to spread themselves all around the new ground.

They could have made the ground a lot steeper and reduced the size of the footprint to produce a much more intimidating atmosphere. Someone told me that it was designed so that it could be adapted to accommodate another 20,000 fans somehow.

  28. Rasputin says:

Bendtner up front on his own, Ade on the bench, JD in for Gallas, Gibbs for Cliche and AA for Nasri…

  29. Rasputin says:

    Hatrick…. and my prediction 3:1

  30. Rasputin says:

To the arse before you ask ave – I know you’re supposed to put the home team score first, but as you know, I never tip us to lose… 😉

  31. John says:

Alright chaps – 2-0 prediction from me.

  32. avenell says:

    Hi Ras and John..
ras has that link been sorted?

  33. Rasputin says:

Its not on footyonline at all ave – I’ve got a very bad picture on justintv – it takes ages to load so you have to be patient!

  34. Rasputin says:

Fabianski’s looking rock solid. Gibbs is very attacking, but leaves gaps at the back when he gets too far forward.

  35. Rasputin says:

There’s the effing goal to them in my 1:3 prediction aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh

  36. avenell says:

That all I have Rasp.. I’ll give up looking until HT.. 😦

  37. Rasputin says:

Fabianski not that rock solid – I’ll keep my trap shut….

  38. avenell says:

I must have a delayed stream.. eh..

  39. Rasputin says:

Me too – they still aven’t scored on my stream….but sadly its true – Mido

  40. avenell says:

They have only just scored on mine.. 😦

  41. Rasputin says:

ave – type in justin.tv/milanchannel – its a much better link

  42. Rasputin says:

    Great minds 🙂

  43. Rasputin says:

Nightmare scenario that I’m afraid I predicted…… JD off with an injury and no back-up after Sylvestre

  44. avenell says:

    Not another injury.. 😦

    Please Fabinaski Please!!

  45. avenell says:

Song and Sagna are okay at CH.. 2 down 3 to go..

  46. Rasputin says:

Song maybe – but Sagna is way too short for a CB bearing in mind our next 2 games

  47. Rasputin says:

Gibbs lucky not to get a red….what’s going on now – player mellee

  48. avenell says:

Nearly lost gibbs then.. Silvestre would have to play 2 positions..

  49. Rasputin says:

I’m getting that ‘Birmingham feeling’ about this game 😦

  50. avenell says:

I got slated when i wrote about us v Barca.. We can’t even do Wigan..

  51. London says:

You know how I made a really big deal about how the twelve pins always, always shows every single game well they bloody well not today; I don’t even know what the team is.

  52. Rasputin says:

I think we have to get Ade on ASAP. They’re out-muscling us and out-pressing us. Let’s hope AW can produce the same half-time turnaround as on tuesday. Once again, we are being outplayed – that’s OK for Villareal, but this is Wigan FFS………..

  53. avenell says:

    Fab
    Sag
    Toure
    JD off injured
    Gibbs lucky to be on..
    Song
    Denilson
    Fab
    Theo
    Arsh
    Pinkie

  54. Rasputin says:

Ave, you weren’t exactly slated – we all kind of agreed with you but we can’t bring ourselves to predict a CL final loss 😛

  55. avenell says:

We couldn’t get a link on our normal channel London.. even though Peaches made me pay

    Try this link

    http://www.justin.tv/milanchannel

  56. avenell says:

OK a bit OTT rasp.. 😉

  57. Rasputin says:

Any news on the JD injury? My picture is really poor and the commentary is in Bosmanian…..

  58. avenell says:

I don’t mate.. The links frozen now..

  59. Rasputin says:

45 minutes to score 2 goals. Bring on ADE please Mr. Wenger OBE CBE MBE and bar

  60. peachesgooner says:

rasp – anyone in your house using arse.com?

ave – you’ll have to watch the whole game again on football first on sky tonight to do your match report

  61. London says:

I can even see the game! Are the showing it?

  62. Rasputin says:

No peaches…you know how superstiious I am, I may have to go out in the car and turn the radio on for 10 seconds every two minutes to keep tabs on the game…..I’m not joking roadsters – I’m that pathetic 😦

  63. peachesgooner says:

    I havn’t seen a single minute of play 😦

Gibbs got a yellow at the end of the first half

  64. Rasputin says:

Gibbs keeps surging forward but leaving gaping holes behind him – hence the yelllow card (should’ve been red)

  65. avenell says:

I’m back on this crap link.. anyone got better?

    http://www.justin.tv/football222

  66. Rasputin says:

Ball just cleared off our line. A draw today and a Villa/Everton draw or Everton win tomorrow wouldn’t be too bad

  67. John says:

    sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/73257
Is alright quality if you have sopcast installed and don’t mind non-english commentary.

  68. peachesgooner says:

rasp – we knew Gibbs would do that, hes not really a defender is he – isn’t anyone covering for him when he goes forward?

arse.com have said that arsenal are not playing very well at all – that theres strength on the bench, nikki should come off and ade or van persie have to come on. Theo and arsh not having a good game either

  69. Rasputin says:

    try justintv/cccam – a much better pic

  70. Rasputin says:

    Bring on Ade
    Bring on Ade
    Bring on Ade

  71. kelsey says:

Who is writing the post tomorrow.
I have a shite link,Gibbs should have been red carded, and someone just cleared off the line in a red top.fab is looking to be booked.Where is AA, in fact where is the team,I love 🙂

  72. Rasputin says:

Now Bendtners playing out wide so we haven’t got anyone in the middle. How do our players think they’re gonna score from the touchline?

  73. avenell says:

    Don’t sell him yet!!!

    1-1

  74. kelsey says:

that did the trick WALCOTT 🙂

  75. John says:

    THEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  76. London says:

    Has anyone got a link?

  77. JonJon says:

    theeeooooooo….

  78. kelsey says:

I got a great link to god, just answered my first prayer.

  79. peachesgooner says:

…see I got it on and we scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  80. Rasputin says:

    Yeeeaaaaahhh,

30 minutes to get 2 more and earn me a point for my prediction 😉

  81. JonJon says:

    arshavin for the next 1….

    2-1…

  82. peachesgooner says:

    …steady on rasp…. two more…….

  83. peachesgooner says:

come on ade – do your stuff xx

  84. avenell says:

Now we turn into Wimbledon.. 😦

  85. Rasputin says:

    2:1 –

  86. peachesgooner says:

    whooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  87. Rasputin says:

Sylvestre – I always said he was quality 😆

  88. peachesgooner says:

how did you get there before me?

  89. avenell says:

    Great buy wenger haha

  90. Rasputin says:

My 3:1 does look so unlikely now Peaches 🙂

  91. peachesgooner says:

Obviously hes who we’ve been lacking 😆 the manc

  92. kelsey says:

I have decided I know absolutely nothing about football….SILVESTRE NEVER

  93. kelsey says:

    rasputin,
are you on your way to rico’s 😉

  94. peachesgooner says:

Ner ner na ner ner – you’re such a sage rasp – good thing you didn’t go out driving eh 😆

  95. kelsey says:

who went off for rvp to come on

  96. avenell says:

    Take your BBQ!!

  97. Rasputin says:

She’s just putting th kettle on kelsey….. 😛

  98. Rasputin says:

We got the third but VP offside – does it still count ave?

  99. avenell says:

Take the sugar out the cup rico.. no 😦

  100. Rasputin says:

Score of the day 4:3 chavs v Bolts

  101. peachesgooner says:

Mines frozen again – got the arse commentary and the arab commentary both on and a frozen screen 😦

  102. Rasputin says:

We are living dangerously – they look as likely to score as we do……….

  103. avenell says:

I prefer this iraq commentator to Craig Burley 🙂

  104. Rasputin says:

Great save fab – OK I’ll settle for 2:1, don’t keep putting me through this….

Hooray, Hull are losing – relegation looms for them….

  105. Rasputin says:

    Thank you thank yo – 3:1 🙂 🙂 🙂

  106. London says:

    Yeeeeeeees

  107. kelsey says:

    well done ras,
you can write tomorrow’s post while rico prepares the spare room.

  108. avenell says:

Clean sheets in the spare room !!! ArsHHHH

  109. Rasputin says:

Come on Bolton – cleared off the line … lucky chavs

  110. Rasputin says:

    Bollox 4:1 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  111. peachesgooner says:

Well done rasp – only Song just made it 4 😆

  112. London says:

Pllleeeeeesse let me do the post

  113. kelsey says:

    Song… am I dreaming

  114. avenell says:

    Hahaha Sooooooooooooong Biloooooooooooooong!!!

  115. kelsey says:

    OK rico,
    (sigh of relief) 🙂

  116. Rasputin says:

Don’t I get a point for getting nearest ave?

  117. peachesgooner says:

We’re gonna have to start playing in the first half like we play in the second half cos sooner or later we’ll get hammered bu someone and not be able to come back

  118. kelsey says:

    bollox ras,

we just attack for every goal we concede we score 2….simples

  119. avenell says:

Rico and me said 3 clear goals .. yeeees we win 🙂

  120. Rasputin says:

Is that why you predicted 0:2 kelsey 😉

  121. peachesgooner says:

ave – I’m not sure how that works 🙂

  122. avenell says:

    That nearly lasted another day..lol

  123. Wrighty7 says:

    Bloody Song! LOL

Ave, stop making up the rules as you go along! Ha ha

  124. avenell says:

I just make new rules up as I go along, or I edit the widget.. 😉

  125. peachesgooner says:

    What were we worrying about?

Rasp – don’t ever stop mentioning Birmingham please 😆

  126. Rasputin says:

My pain-in-the-ass son is nagging me for a lift into town…..so I’m off for a bit…laters and relieved

  127. London says:

I swore I would never post on the other channel but I would love to go on there right now and call them a bunch of short sighted wankers that they really are.

  128. avenell says:

You got crystal balls Wrighty?.. 🙂

  129. peachesgooner says:

London – hold that thought 🙂

  130. kelsey says:

    What odds to
    a) score 4 second half goals
    b) 4 different players
    c) Song and Silvestre to score.

those 2 have scored more than rosicky in 15 months 🙂

Actually i predicted by at least 2 goals(cough)

    thanks Wrighty.

  131. kelsey says:

    no avenell,
it’s just the way he walks 🙂

  132. kelsey says:

Io second that peaches.Has rico passed out.

  133. Wrighty7 says:

    Crystal balls Ave?

    Nah mate, balls of steel!

    No probs Kelsey

  134. avenell says:

Don’t tell me, Jonjon is down at Bill Hills collecting his winnings.. 🙂

  135. peachesgooner says:

rico was gonna be busy with family stuff this afternoon.

sorry ave for making you pay for a game you didn’t get to see – send them an email they may give you a free one next time

  136. peachesgooner says:

Its officially St Totts everyone 😆

  137. peachesgooner says:

    20 points ahead with 18 to play for 😆 😆 😆

  138. avenell says:

No probs Peaches.. i will look forward to your match report.. 😉

  139. avenell says:

And wait for your phone bill to come in.. 🙂

  140. avenell says:

    And mine.. 😦

  141. kelsey says:

If the truth be known the stream was so bad,i need to watch football first to get an opinion and to make sure london does an accurate post 🙂

By the way who got subbed.did RVP come on for Denilson

i watched it on some dodgy arab channel with spanish adverts on the side for loose women, honest.

  142. peachesgooner says:

ave – are you gonna watch it again on sky – I only saw about 15 minutes this afternoon, by all accounts one has to see the first half to appreciate how good the second half was………

  143. JonJon says:

no nothing this week ave…. 😦

  144. peachesgooner says:

kelsey – I agree, I’m gonna watch the game again.

Shame the chavs v bolton was so high scoring or we’d probably be the game of the day

  145. avenell says:

haha jonjon even you couldn’t predict that one..

I saw most of it Peaches except the first 15 of each half.. I will have to view again though.. I could wait up and watch it on MOTD.. See you Gibbs.. See you Off.. See you bad defending….

  146. JonJon says:

see you clearing it off the line!!!!! see your pin point cross for bendtner to miss!!!! see you help the team to a 4-1 win….

  147. avenell says:

See you Lawro.. See you.. nice shirt.. see you!!

  148. JonJon says:

see you newcastle… see you shearer….

  149. peachesgooner says:

ave – you are joking aren’t you – MOTD – how much of the game will they show, we’ll be lucky if they show all our goals 🙂

  150. London says:

    I can’t believe how happy I am

  151. avenell says:

Should get 2 minutes near the end Peaches.. after the Alan Shearer show!! 😉

  152. peachesgooner says:

Any confirmation of the game of the day on sky?

  153. kelsey says:

I just saw that we have now scored more away goals than anyone else. Those 3 bloody 0-0 has cost us dear.

  154. London says:

I’m trying to write the post but I can’t stop giggling

  155. peachesgooner says:

I love it when we come back and score goals to win a game – it feels like you really get your moneys worth 🙂

  156. London says:

    Peaches

Let me know if you find that out, I’ve just realised that I best see the game first before I try and write about it 😆

  157. Rasputin says:

I’m back and you haven’t been talking about me.

My daughter’s going on wednesday. She must have been to more than 30 games and has never seen us lose….its a fact. I think you lot should sponsor her to go to every game 🙂

  158. peachesgooner says:

Why are you giggling – you’re not planning a verbal attack on another blogger are you London?

  159. avenell says:

    Peaches man U… 😦

no early night for Mrs Avenell.. 😉

  160. JonJon says:

the scoreline flattered us though…. denilson and song were poor for the majority of the game and so was bendtner…..

denilsongs form is unsettling me… they have gone back to being the players they were before xmas…. the only differance now is that we have AA to mash up defences…..

  161. peachesgooner says:

We got ave to delete them rasp

  162. London says:

Are we all agreed that we understand why Wenger bought Sylvestre now 😉

  163. JonJon says:

im of out tonight ave to go spend some of mr hills money and find a mrs jonjon for the night.. 😉

  164. peachesgooner says:

London – I think you should watch the game before you write your post. Just my opinion 😆

  165. avenell says:

And he is only a week older than Gallas.. lol..

  166. avenell says:

Has Mr Sutcliffe left you any Jonjon?

  167. peachesgooner says:

London – I’m not sure Arsene bought sylvestre for any other reason than he was experienced and could be used if Gallas or Toure were injured.

  168. London says:

    Peaches

Do you really think the post needs to contain anything other than the forth goal 😉

  169. avenell says:

Did you see Peaches Man U v Sund Footie first.. 😦

  170. peachesgooner says:

JonJon – good luck with your Mrs JonJon hunt – keep safe 😉

  171. peachesgooner says:

Maybe the third and fourth goals 🙂

  172. London says:

    Peaches

Exactly, what amazes me is that there are people who have actually disagreed with that.

  173. Rasputin says:

London…….we had to get in a CB because Big Phil had been released and prem squads need 4 CB’s – if it wasn’t Sylvestre it would have to have been someone else. Sylvestre wasn’t AW’s first choice.

  174. London says:

    Nah

I’m going to stick to the forth, I’m having too much fun.

  175. JonJon says:

    hahahaha… ave… 😉

    peaches… i dont need any luck…. 😉

  176. peachesgooner says:

Hey rasp – I’d forgotten shes never seen us lose – shes not getting cold feet is she?

  177. London says:

Good, then we are all agreed why Wenger decided to get Sylvestre.

  178. peachesgooner says:

London – I have a bad feeling that you sticking to the fourth goal being the focal point of your post is gonna lead to trouble…………

  179. JonJon says:

wenger said at the AGM why he got silvestre…

where do you find a good CB who’s left footed??????

silvestre has PL winning experience and was available for next to nothing so we got him…

although hes’s just a stop gap and a crock, if he’s fit until the end of the season he could be the best signing of the summer…..under the circumstances…

  180. London says:

Anyone who is not happy that Song scored is no Arsenal supporter and should f… off and support West Ham. Just a thought.

  181. avenell says:

    West Ham.. that’s the cockney’s team.. 😉

  182. JonJon says:

london i would be happy with 4 own goals….

songs goal is a bitter pill for some ppl to swallow and they are too stubborn to back down over their assessment over some players…

  183. avenell says:

Cockney Rejects and all that me old china..

  184. JonJon says:

    who alf garnitt supports….

  185. avenell says:

    Silly Moo… 😉

  186. peachesgooner says:

London – I’m sure there isn’t an Arsenal supporter in the land that isn’t happy that Song scored. It doesn’t make him a great player……….

  187. Rasputin says:

No, actually London I’m not sure we are…….. I agree that when it got so late, Sylvestre was the last resort – but not an investment for the future, just a good stop gap

  188. London says:

    Jonjon

Absolutely, the idea of a so called Aresenal supporters not wanting an Arsenal player to do well is an anathema to me, in fact I don’t know how or why they call themselves Arsenal supporters at all.

  189. JonJon says:

    yes newcastle are losing.

  190. avenell says:

Wenger made a quick choice on Silvestre.. heard he was at Man City.. so he made a quick call..
Hope he scores against Man U .. hahah Fergies face will be a picture..

  191. peachesgooner says:

London – you havn’t said why you think Arsene was happy to sign Sylvestre

  192. avenell says:

Cover for CH and LB.. for less than a mill plus computer vouchers..

  193. avenell says:

Much better value than Theo.. 😉

  194. JonJon says:

im in the bracket of say it as it is…. if you play crap…i’ll tell you your crap….if your good i’ll tell you your good….

if like adebayor the other night…..you play crap and you score a world class goal…i’ll tell you that you were crap but you scored a good goal…just like i did in my post…

one thing i’ll never do is wish a player not to score for the sake of my own alpha maleness and one thing i’ll always do is cheer so called player when he smashes it into the back of the net……because arsenal is what counts and not my own pride….

  195. peachesgooner says:

ave – is your name London? 😳

London – do you have other thoughts on why we signed sylvestre?

  196. London says:

So as I said we are all agreed Rasp

    Peaches
This was in my post a few days ago: The Defence……

Now I know that Silvestre is another player that divides us, there are those who will only ever see him as a manc b………d and will never accept him no matter what. And there are those, like myself, who see him simply as very experienced back up; an inexpensive insurance policy taken out by Wenger at the beginning of the season just in case both Toure and Gallas get injured at the same time. I mean, it’s not as if we signed Teddy Sheringham is it?

  197. peachesgooner says:

OK London – you agree with me and JonJon 😆

  198. avenell says:

Peaches.. my full name is Avenell Road, London. N5..

  199. peachesgooner says:

Poor you ave – no middle name 😦

  200. Rasputin says:

Have I missed something – has someone on here said that they wished Song hadn’t scored – or even has someone on here even been a harsh or unreasonable critic of Song?

We all spout opinions all the time. It is disingenuous for anyone to wait until a particular performance can be used as justification to say ‘I told you so’ regarding a comment they made previously.

I don’t believe anyone on here wants anything other than Arsenal to win every game by the largest margin possible, and I think we are all good supporters – some of whom hold differing opinions…. 🙂

  201. London says:

    Jonjon

That is a healthy philosophy and one I agree with, what pisses me off is that I can write a post with the main point being that there is still time for Adebayor to turn his season around, which is a positive view I am sure you would agree, only for it to be met with responses like “He should be sold at the end of the season”. If someone did not agree I would expect something like: “Yes, naturally I hope that Adebayor turns his season around by scoring more goals but I still have my reservations which are he still doesn’t know the bloody off side rule, he still spends too much time on the wing etc.” There is a very important difference to me.

  202. JonJon says:

    exactley rasp…

although song scored today and im happy he did…i still think if we are to make ourselves confident genuine contenders for siverware….we need better options in the middle….its like ave said in the post the other day can we handle a team like barca….

im hoping we can play the game of our lives but on paper the song denilson pairing doesnt fill me with confidence against the pairing of xavi and iniesta….

songs form has been topsy turvey…so has denilsons and diabys and bendtners…. the young players at this club need to show abit more consistency if they want people to believe they are going to be good players….not just decent ones….after all, they are all over 20 now…if they were 17/18 i could understand it but they have to start putting in the performances in week in week out and not just one game in 5…

  203. avenell says:

Ade needs to be sold at the end of the season..

  204. kelsey says:

    Right,
as I am the oldest on here, let’s get one thing straight.i was born in the London hospital, that makes me a cockney, and I don’t support W.H.

Silvestre is what you get on today’s valuation for .75 milliom quid.he is an old crock that fergie had no use for, otherwise he wouldn’t have sold him.he is like one of those new type of spare wheels on a car.if you have a puncture you put it on till you get to the nearest garage.hopefully djorou is not badly injured because we are sincerely lacking defensive cover.

  205. London says:

    Rasp

No one on this site has said anything unnecessarily negative about Song but you visit enough blogs and you are well aware of the anti Song overtones. It is to those who I have been addressing my comments.

  206. avenell says:

London.. have you got your own hospital?

  207. peachesgooner says:

The Song of the last few games has been a vast improvement on the Song of earlier in the year. He reads the game better – some of his passing has been very good, seems to be fitter and has more pace, if he can score the occasional goal then its possible he’ll be a good squad player. At the moment thats all he looks like to me – Arsene obviously sees more and as hes in charge he’ll play him but………

One goal – a forth goal at that – does not a hero make!

  208. Rasputin says:

London, I appreciate you addressed your comment to JonJon, but if you remember, some people said that if we were to be offered £25million or more, they would sell him to buy a more gifted player. If Dudu remains fit and our other strikers keep improving, that is not such a bad scenario. I am not a huge fan of Ade for reasons stated earlier, but I was calling for him to be brought on in posts on here today well before it actually happened and in his present form, I believe he is a great asset to the side.

  209. peachesgooner says:

    More oil ave….more oil 😆

  210. avenell says:

I used to cheer Paul Vaessen on.. still wasn’t good enough for us though.. Come on you Vaseline!!!

  211. London says:

Sounds like we are all arriving at the same page on Adebayor as well then 😉

  212. London says:

    Ave

    Trouble maker 😉

  213. avenell says:

    It’s my ball.. lol

    Peaches.. 😉 coincidence .. hehehe

  214. JonJon says:

i would like ade to score in every game he plays for the sake of the team..but on the other hand i would like him sold for the sake of the team….

ade is a good imact player but hes too stupid a footballer to start everygame…he stiffles our play….and on 80k pw he commands a starting berth…

the money we get from ade would strengthen the team in other areas….such as midfield…

  215. Rasputin says:

OK London – I’m just confused why you address your comments to people on another site on here – surely their site is the place to do that?

  216. London says:

Peaches after reading that negative anti-Song shit on the other channel all season until they threw me off for trying to suggest that it might be a tad early to give up on him to which I received such intelligent responses like Song is shit, then I say with some conviction that today Alexandre Song is my hero.

  217. avenell says:

If Ade plays in every game.. The FA are going to need lighter flags for the linesman…

  218. avenell says:

    Assistant Referee’s shoulder sydrome..

  219. London says:

    Rasp

There is a cross over, but I would never purposely be rude to anyone on this site.

  220. avenell says:

The problem we have is our history BC(before christmas)
is somewhere else, so we keep refering back to that …
But we do need to move on.. 🙂

  221. London says:

I went back and watched the Villareal game, if you exclude the first half in which no Arsenal player covered themselves in glory then for me Adebayor was man of the match. I have to make the dinner for my family now, it has been good chatting. I will leave you with this thought because I can on this site which is one of the reasons I like it so much “Alexandre Song is God” hahaahaahaaa

  222. Rasputin says:

    London,

I don’t see any ‘cross-over’. Several really good contributors to this site regularly post on other sites without compromising their beliefs or appearing hypocritical.

I agree with ave – we need to move on …… 🙂

  223. rico01 says:

Good evening everyone, what a day, 225 comments before this, and that follows a 4-1 away win – and just for Ave, Theo obviously did a liitle better today 😉

Now I am off to read those 225 comments 😛

    peaches – I thought it was a lovely i/v with Theo too …. 😥

  224. avenell says:

We scored 1 goal when Theo was on and 3 when he went off ..

    hehe Hi Rico..

  225. rico01 says:

No ave, surely not 😉 I havent seen the game or read any reports and dint realise 😦 That will teach me wont it 😉

I would just like to mention, Silvestre was actually free, we didnt part with a penny for him 😛

  226. avenell says:

There was talk of £750,000 to buy his contract out Rico.

    I didn’t see the game properly… But I paid to.. 😉

    new balls please..

  227. rico01 says:

    Def a freebie Ave 😉

Its on tonight, I think about 70 minutes, mine is set to record and we shall enjoy watching…

Shame none of the top three didnt drop points,
Everton and Villa to draw would be a good result for us.

  228. kelsey says:

    rico,
we payed .75 million for him.

Taking up rasputin’s point,we have to remember how nearly all of us on here got together. It was through blogging on another channel, and some of us still do,therefore there is a mutual respect which we agreed to adhere to.

just seen song’s goal.Blimey it was good.

  229. rico01 says:

    we did not 😉

  230. kelsey says:

    oh yes we did 😉

  231. kelsey says:

Anyway, robin Hood for me.i just love the Sherriff of nottingham, who in real life(ava) is Lilly Allan’s dad.

  232. kelsey says:

sorry i called you ava ave :0

  233. rico01 says:

Ok, I was just pulling your doo da’s 😛

  234. Rasputin says:

My stream was in and out throughout the game so I couldn’t really judge any of the performances. I’d be interested in hearing how anyone thought Gibbs got on – there were quite a few occassions when their right midfield seemed totally unopposed.

  235. rico01 says:

Rasp – Old Brucie thinks Gibbs should have been red carded ??

    Not good about JD 😦

  236. peachesgooner says:

I reckon we should all re-convene when the game is shown again on sky – can you stay awake that long rasp 😆

  237. rico01 says:

peaches – i wont be able to 😦

  238. avenell says:

    That’s about 12ish i’ll try..

What’s the news on JD then?

  239. Rasputin says:

    Hi rico,

Yes, I saw the Gibbs tackle and he was lucky not to go. He’s a fantastic young prospect but I’m not sure he’s ready for the likes of Villareal and Chelsea, but with JD out now and Sylvestre filling in at CD, we may be about to find out. Also, I am not sure that Sylvestre will be able to play 4 games in a row. Still, we thrive in adversity. We won today after not playing at all well for an hour (just like last tuesday) and came away with a resounding victory.

  240. rico01 says:

Rasp – i am yet to see any of it, maybe old lady luck truly is around us right now –

I reckon against V’rreal he may put Silvestre at LB and Song alongside Kolo – i think I would be tempted with that and keep Gibbs on the bench. I agree, he isnt quite ready for such big games, not yet anyway..

  241. rico01 says:

I am off guys as all quiet

See you tomorrow, sleep well 🙂

  242. avenell says:

Nite rico.. speak to you in the morning..

  243. London says:

Right I’m back from dinner; I cooked grilled prawns and squid paella, delicious. I am very passionate about what I write and more often than not I am trying to put across the virtues of a particular player who my not have been getting a good press in the recent past, like Sylvestre for example, so I am upset and hurt when my attempts to portray the good points of that player are dismissed with more often than not the same rhetoric that is used on LG, so considering that most of the people that visit this site also visit that site I feel that the two are still linked. The other thing people probably don’t realise is how dismissive they are of what is said in the main posts, above, in a way that they never would be in the comments below. And for all those who do not know what I am talking about..try writing a post.

  244. chaf says:

When I was drunk I tried talking to a post

  245. peachesgooner says:

London – its important that the two sites are only connected in the fact that they are Arsenal blog sites.

If you have an issue with any subjects discussed on any other site I feel that you should be posting those comments on that site not trying to discuss them on Avenell Road

  246. avenell says:

London.. we did make a few rules on here that we all try to stick to.. Boring, Boring Ave.. etc..
There are friends of mine on this site that are good friends with the gentlemen that run “the other site”..

Out of respect to me and to our other posters can you stop any mention of LG..

  247. Rasputin says:

    I’m sorry Roadsters,

I have been out of circulation for an hour or two, otherwise I would have commented earlier. I have two choices; I can respond to London’s last post which I assume is directed at me, or I can let it go in deference to avenell.

I shall say only this. I believe it is the right of everyone who does all the hard work of setting up a site to use air their views. In most cases that agenda is explained on the site. I do not however, consider it right that others should come onto that site with a different agenda and try to hijack it to promote their own views. I find this particularly distasteful when those who disagree are branded as ‘not good supporters’ or patronised as ‘not understanding’. I can happily accept anyone who holds a different opinion to my own, what I take exception to is bullying, overinflated egos and those who take themselves too seriously……..

  248. London says:

    Rasp

Good comment, I assume that was aimed at me although I accept I could be wrong but if it is could you tell me where I have accused you of not being a good suporter or not understanding? One of the great things about blogs is that all comments are recorded so it should make it easier.

  249. avenell says:

    London..
Can you e mail me and tell me where this is all going please..

Rasp.. I don’t think London meant you, but can you just take five until I sort this out..

  250. London says:

I’m still here if you need me.

  251. London says:

Am I the person that has come onto the site and high-jacked the views if so ask me to leave, simples

  252. London says:

Everyone must have gone to bed, I will leave you to it.

Every Arsenal player is precious to me and I will always try and find the good rather than the bad in each and everyone of them.

  253. avenell says:

London I have replied.. I am not going anywhere until were sorted.. If it takes all night..

  254. JonJon says:

    hello…. whats been going on????

  255. rico01 says:

    Morning Roadsters

Senna is out for our match 😛 😛

  256. rico01 says:

Just been reading back – and I am witth JJ, what on earth has been going on??

  257. rico01 says:

    London –

I would like to respond to both your 9.49pm and 12.09am comments – and I am not doing so with any intention to annoy you or undermine your views.

The ‘other site’ as it’s know as – is a very popular and extremely well run site which I have enjoyed contributing to for about 18 months, and I still contribute, and probably always will. Some days recently I have not agreed with either a topic or comment, so I just come away for that day, and go back when its all over. I have absolutely no right to tell someone ‘not to say this, or not to say that’ about a player or topic. Blogs are for opinions, and mine aren’t always (in fact hardly ever 😉 ) the same as others. I am referring to Song really and the ‘he is shit’ comments.. In my view, he is better than he was, but we as a club deserve better than him.

But is any football blog the right place to air views on another site – For me that has to be ‘No’ Look at Wrighty, he has his own site, and contributes to this and the ‘other site’ – that the best way forward, and it brings Gooners together, not divide them.

1209am – I think all of of look for the good in all our players, but sadly we have a few who, no matter how hard we can all try, many of us will seldom see very good, they are just average, and again a club like us should not be playing ‘average’ players.

My view on Nik and Ade is pretty much the same, but I know, that especially about Nik, I am amoung a minority. That doesnt make me wrong or right, its just my view.. I get teased about my view on him, but I dont mind, its all banter, and I like it that way.

Our club has gone from playing players like

    Paddy
    Pires
    Freddy
    Sol (just for you peaches)
    Petit
    Henry
    Bergkamp
    Seaman
    Adams
    Keown
    Overmars –

    To

    Eboue
    Song
    Silvestre
    Bischoff
    Denilson
    Ramsey
    Diaby
    Ade
    Nik

just to name a few, they are not good enough for us, some may turn out to be, but we need NOW to win what we should be winning – yes Ade has scored, Song has scored. But they are not doing that, and have not been doing that all season, thats why they just are not good enough for a club with our history and reputation.

  258. kelsey says:

Why was my post binned ?

  259. kelsey says:

I hope it has not been rejected because for me it is important.

  260. rico01 says:

Morning kelsey, Senna is out for wednesday, and V’rreal lost 2-0 to Malaga

    Where is your post 😦

  261. kelsey says:

    Good question rico,
It was long and straight to the point, and things need clearing up on here rapido.

  262. rico01 says:

kelsey – i thoiught you would be very excited with the senna news ?? 😉

  263. rico01 says:

kelsey – i thought you would be very excited with the senna news ?? 😉

  264. rico01 says:

    oops 😳

  265. kelsey says:

I am not making another comment until my post goes up,sorry rico.

  266. rico01 says:

Ah, you have done the post for today, I thought you meant a comment had been lost. Your post may be set on a wordpress timer kelsey, but fair enough, if you dont want to comment..

  267. kelsey says:

    Sorry rico,
no offence to you,it was a comment, rather a long one.

  268. rico01 says:

    none taken kelsey

  269. rico01 says:

I think everyone must be at church kelsey 😉

  270. rico01 says:

You know, I cannot believe where this season has gone, one minute we were all excited about our opening EPL game against WBA, and now we only have six leagues games left, and then its silly transfer time.

What is good though, not only do we have six league games, we have a Fa Cup semi final, a possible CL semi-final and we now look very strong to finish 4th, if not maybe a sneaky 3rd, especially if we can beat chelsea at home – it would be nice to do the triple over them this year 😛

  271. rico01 says:

Actually, we may just end up doing the quadruple over chelsea, but I cant see them beating Barca in the CL

  272. rico01 says:

Anyone would think its a holiday, with all the absentees 😦

  273. JonJon says:

    morning all….

im really confused about last night….ive got no idea as to what happened or why it lead to that….

kelsey….please post…i dont know why your long one is in moderation…ive looked at it and i cant ok it until ave sees it as it wouldnt be fair to ave..im sure you understand this kelsey..but he may not be up for a while yet so please post….

your comments are held in high regard…as are all of you…even london(if your reading) i just dont understand where last night was going….

  274. rico01 says:

Whey hey – Morning JJ 😛

  275. JonJon says:

    morning rico….

    i heard that senna was injured….good news…

but we are down to the last threads of our team ourselves…hopefully we’ll still be too strong..

  276. rico01 says:

JJ – we are, its a difficult choice now for Arsene to make about the defence – I think he should play this side 😉

    Fabianski

    Bac Kolo Song Silvestre

    Theo Cesc Diaby Nasri

    Ade Robin/Dudu

  277. rico01 says:

Of course, another change he could make is to play Bacary Sagna alongside Kolo and put Eboue in at RB – now would that be so bad ??

  278. Rasputin says:

Morning Roadsters and Roosters and apologies to avenell.

Does anyone know the situation with JD’s injury. Someone suggested Sagna for CD last night. I didn’t know he could play in that position. He’s obviously on the short side. I don’t suppose we can call back Traore? We should probably be without Gibbs for the next 3 games so we can count ourselves lucky 😉

  279. rico01 says:

Actually rico, i think that is not a bad idea – and woul give us more strenght in the defence, is Diaby fit??

  280. Rasputin says:

I’m listening to you rico 😛

  281. rico01 says:

Morning Rasp, I was just going to get into a heated debate with myself about the team selection for Wednesday – you have saved me from calling out the white coat brigade to take me away from myself 😉

  282. rico01 says:

Rasp – I am unsure on diaby, i think he is a big must for the game – and if we get any more injuries to our defence, I can see him slotting in there 😉

  283. JonJon says:

    sorry rico…

    hi rasp…

bac at CB would be an option…but only as a last resort….

gibbs mad mistakes yesterday…but so did sagna silvestre and denilson….

id stick with gibbs for the next game…and play bac, kolo, silv, gibbs….

and go with bac kolo song silv for chelsea….

  284. rico01 says:

This must be the first time for a long time that i say this

    We miss Big Phil ;P

  285. rico01 says:

JJ – dont be sorry 😦

  286. Rasputin says:

Morning rico 😉 did you know Helen Chamberlain keeps chooks too. She was reeling out all these names of rare breeds she has on Soccer AM yesterday.

You’re right, its excellent news that Senna is out and they lost in the league yesterday. We won’t be the only team with injuries at the tail end of the season. Hopefully Henry, Messi, Iniesta and Eto’o will all pick up minor knocks to keep them out of the CL final 😆

  287. rico01 says:

Rasp – I didnt know she did, and i missed yesterdays
😦 – I know she is a veggie, but then she says she likes and eats jelly beans – strange that one..

Check out BBC3 for tuesday Rasp (maybe wednesday) there is programme on at 8ish about two peope who live with pigs for three days, one on an intensive farm and the other on an organic one – they litterally live as pigs, it should be fun viewing

    Hi JonJon,

I agree with your back 4 lineups for VR and the chavs. We will get more of an aerial bombardment against chelsea. I have always rated Song as a CB, and if Diaby is fit, he can replace him in midfield.

  289. rico01 says:

    JJ – I dont agree 😉

  290. Rasputin says:

I’ve got some mates who do that all the time rico 😛

  291. rico01 says:

Luke Ayling or Gavin Hoyte the on the bench ??

  292. rico01 says:

Is that eat, live or both Rasp 😉

  293. JonJon says:

heres an idea….why dont we put eboue in at RB and Bac in at LB?????

  294. Rasputin says:

Behave like – all spuds supporters obviously 😉

Actually, I really like pigs, they have this sort of congenial slob type personality that so many of us guysaspire to……

    Morning Roadsters…

Things went a bit Alex Song last night and I was up until gone 1 oclock sorting it out..

There was a stage at 12 oclock that I took complete control of the site.. I I was the only one with the buttons. I even took jonjon off and every comment this morning would have had to have been approved before viewing..
In the end I got an email that satisfied me that the site was not going to turn into a war zone.. I also put in a few more words that get thrown into spam just for extra security..

Kelsey I am sorry yours got caught up in this, the matter is being sorted..

If you have any problems I am up and about.. “just” so e mail me if it’s about the other side or well you know what I mean..

    Sorry and thanks..

  297. rico01 says:

JJ – and me in the middle 😉

That is not a bad idea – with Kolo and Song in the middle and Silvestre and Gibbs on the bench – if there was a prize for top suggestion of the morning, you would have just won is JJ, I like that idea…. 😛

  298. Rasputin says:

Someone give ave a ‘cyber shoulder massage’ and a cup of strong coffee laced with rum 😦

  299. rico01 says:

Afternoon Avenell, I bet Enid Blyton didnt stay in bed after staying up all night writing 😉

  300. JonJon says:

    morning ave….

  301. Rasputin says:

There’s me being all sympathetic rico and you go and kick him in his ‘cyber cojones’ 😆

  302. JonJon says:

    cyber cojones LMAO

  303. rico01 says:

Rasp – kick up the bum more like 😉

I love your comment on the pigs behaviour, I love them too and hope one day to have a couple. When I was a young one, I lived in the middle of nowhere, with fields all around, which usually had pigs and piglets in – my brother and i used to ride the babies once they got big enough – until the mum came along, then we had to run for cover a bit sharpish 😉

How are all your lumps and bumps now – have they gone ..

  304. avenell says:

    Morning Rasp. jonjon, rico..

Yeah and my cold has got worse thanks for asking.. 😉

  305. rico01 says:

On no, sorry for not asking ave, get a couple of paracetamol down you, honey and lemon, and get a grip man 😉

How is your cold ave ?? 😛

  306. JonJon says:

rico the way i see it is that sagna is a good defender…so he could play both FB positions…he may not be able to bomb forward like at RB but he will offer the same defensive stability…..

EE plays better as a FB and he can bomb forward so let him do that and let sagna defend….

  307. avenell says:

I don’t like to talk about it.. 😉

  308. Rasputin says:

I look as normal as is possible for me now thanks rico. I became unbelievably sensitised to allergies in my early thirties when I had a lot of stress in my life, but gradually got on top of it by ‘alternative means’, but I’ve had a very stressful year and seem to be awash with histamines again. I’m hoping Green King IPA is a suitable antedote. I’d swap lives to be ‘happy as a pig in s**t’ right now 🙂

  309. rico01 says:

JJ – honest, I think that is the best option, i didnt give that a thought, it would be the strongest back four available – and Eboue does do pretty good at RB.

Life gets a little brighter, JJ please will you email AW with your idea, he will never think of it 😛

  310. Rasputin says:

    Morning ave,

We’re still steeped in a damp mist here – anyone got the sun out? I want to cut the lawn today. Ave – you must have a ride-on mower. It was my greatest ambition, and since I bought a piece of adjoining land of the farmer I’ve been poop pooping over my grass like Toad in Wind in the Willows…

  311. rico01 says:

That is spooky Rasp – the allergy thing, over the years i have gone from just having execema, to suffering with hayfever, asthma, animal allergies (can you believe) sun, cheese, some nuts (no rude comments)and a multitude of other things – how and why does that happen ??

Would you be prepared to share your ‘alternative means’ ?? Via Ave if you prefer.. And i totally understand why anyone would love to live a life as happy as a free range pig – heaven in my view too 😛

IPA – I wish Green King had never taken over from Courage’s around here 😦

  312. rico01 says:

Talking of poop poop, just got to pop and clean some up

  313. JonJon says:

its funny how we all wanted EE out of the team….and now hes out we wanted him back in….

    fickle fickle fans… 😉

  314. Rasputin says:

Amongst other things rico, I practice Qigong (Chi Kung) – I won’t go into a lengthy explanation, but google will have plenty on it. No potions involved just relaxation etc.

  315. Rasputin says:

The sun’s beginning to peep through here, so I’m off to eat my porridge and then out into the garden. Catch up later Roadsters 🙂

  316. rico01 says:

    Enjoy the day Rasp

JJ, we are indeed, very fickle 😉

  317. avenell says:

My ride on as s wreck rasp.. wires off, covers off and I have to jump start it off the car..
When my garden designer sorts the place out I may invest in a new one.. 😉

  318. rico01 says:

Did you get my email Ave 😦

  319. avenell says:

Yes thanks rico.. I will reply soon.. everything is all going on at once.. lol..

Lovely day though, I hope you all get a south westerly wind and we can all share it..

  320. rico01 says:

ave – please dont worry, just checking thats all, you dont need to reply – have a restful day with your family 😛

  321. peachesgooner says:

    Morning all

Did someone mention their Garden Designer……..

I’m just back from the airport picking up the alternative pop princess from her travels….the house is filled with loud music again…….the washing-machine is on with a stack waiting beside it…..

How is everyone, ave sorry about your late night, how are you feeling today?

JJ – good idea about Sagna playing left-back shall I pop round and suggest it to Arsene. I think the back four will be Bac, Kolo, Song, Sylv…….

Morning rasp – are you out poop pooping in the garden, no sunshine here 😦

  322. avenell says:

    Morning Peaches.. How is she??

Funnily enough Nita is doing everything she can to increase EDF’s profits.. 😦

  323. rico01 says:

Morning peaches, bet its good to have your daughter back home, safe and sound… Normality now resumed by the sounds of it…

Your washing machine sounds as ifs going to have a day like mine 😦

  324. Rasputin says:

Morning peaches, just popped back in because the sun has done the same thing. The ‘News of the Screws’ is not noted for its journalistic prowess, but the link to the article below (if to be believed) is a long overdue explanation of AW’s thinking over the summer. He’s a geat man. The best manager we’ll ever have, but he’s not superhuman and the events that lead us to this point were not part of his master plan but an incredible testament to his managerial ability to make the very best out of the resources at his disposal. I hope he signs a contract extension for life.

  325. Rasputin says:

    He’s a great man – not a geat man (that’s me 😉 )

  326. rico01 says:

I agree, I would like AW to stay for at least another 30 years 😉

  327. JonJon says:

hi guys im back…needed a shower and some breakfast….

rather hungover from last nights escpades…

peaches… yes please do….after all he does wear the no 3 shirt….

maybe we should play diaby at RB??? 😉

  328. peachesgooner says:

Poor Arsene, we’ve give him lots of stick, no wonder he looked so drained for periods this season.

I hope they can get him to sign a deal for life too, I don’t ever want him to go……….

……then Sol Campbell can take over 😆

Oh how I’ve missed the singing – luckily shes really tired so it could all go quiet quite soon.

This is one of their songs being used by Top Shop to promote their Breast Cancer Charity

    http://www.topshopstyle.com/ftbc_uk/

  329. peachesgooner says:

    JJ – no not diaby!!!!!!

  330. JonJon says:

i agree rasp… i hope he signs an extension to the current contract and gets to bear the friut of all his had labour….

in a couple of years time we will be able to match the spending power of Manutd and it will be all our OWN money….

  331. JonJon says:

    i joke peaches 😉

  332. peachesgooner says:

JJ – did you have any luck last night? You didn’t miss anything on MOTD – usual 2 minutes and they didn’t even discuss anything……..there isn’t even a photo in the Observer………still I have the pictue of Sol from yesterday……..swoon swoon

  333. peachesgooner says:

    Really 😆

  334. JonJon says:

yes peaches the hunt was a success… 😳

i never watch MOTD anyway…. i got up early to watch FF but i just caught the last 10mins… 😦

  335. avenell says:

Right.. sorry about last night once again..
Something good as come out of it we have a new post now and I may have another for you later from me.. 😉

    NEW POST!!!!

  336. peachesgooner says:

whats the point in scoring 4 goals and not having them ooohed and aaaahed over – I used to love it when Gary Lineker couldn’t wait to show the Arsenal highlights – and those other puppets would squirm in their seats cos we’d played the best footie in the world and they’d rubbished us for something the week before…………

I love it when we’re fab……..although the first half was completely pants I accept 😆

  337. peachesgooner says:

Its not there ave – press the button again xx

  338. avenell says:

It is on mine Peaches.. and post your daughters top shop link on the new one again..
    brilliant….
