Robin to fly the nest next year, Theo’s phantom knee ‘injury’ and the farce that is the FA and the English Media!!

After almost four years of watching the trophy cabinet at Arsenal collect dust, it is not just the supporters or ‘fans’ that have been murmuring disgruntled nothings in each others lug holes, some of the players have too. Robin van Persie has once again come out and said he is not happy just to play in a side that entertains the public, but he wants the glories and rewards of those shiny silver things that seem to be eluding us recently at the end of it all.

“My aim is not to fight for fourth place,” he said “This is what we are involved in now and I accept that. But it is not my aim just to qualify for the Champions League. I want to win the Champions League and I believe we can.”

“It is not just that I want to play in the FA Cup, I want to win it and that is what I have always said.”

Well said Robin, you are not the only one, this is the sole reason why I believe players like Flamini and Hleb left us, because winning trophies is not our thing at the minute, if we intend on keeping our best players then we need to be successful, or we will be prone to being picked off by the likes of  Barca and Milan every season. If we fail to win anything again no doubt the vultures will be circling  at the end of this season. The signs so far this season are good, we are still in with an optimistic shout at the league, but we have a very good chance at the CL and the FA cup, nonetheless, there was something about Robins comments that concerned me.

He went on to say,

“I am not a guy who gives up easily. I have a contract until 2011 and I will respect that and, about my future, I can’t say much more.”

We all know that Robin is yet to sign an extension to his contract, and from what I can make out from this statement is that he is keeping his options open.  If he doesn’t sign, then we will be forced to sell him at the end of next season before he does a Flamini. Well let me say one thing to you Robin. Trophies or no trophies, who was it that bought you at 20 in your Rupert the Bear trousers and made you the player you are now????  Who was it that has stood by you through a rape case?????  Who was it that has paid your wages for the past few years while you have spent the majority on the medics table?????   Think about that before you decide to jump ship, if you are.

Onto Theo. I don’t think that Theo was badly hurt at all. In fact I’d go as far to say its all been fabricated so he doesn’t have to play in the under 21’s in the boring international period. Theo’s spent the past 3 months out with an injury he picked up whilst playing for the England senior team. Wenger’s just got him back, then within two minutes he gets a call up to the poxy under 21’s. Surprise, surprise he’s picked up a knock a week before, but he’ll be back in two weeks, what a coincidence. Well done Wenger. Sir Snotty Nose fabricates his players injuries all the time during needless internationals and  has done all through his managerial career so its about time we started using the same tactics to preserve our brittle players.

Something that has been winding me up recently is the way the FA and the Media are totally biased towards teams such as Arsenal who are full of foreign players. Last week we saw our great side defeat a lucky Hull team and the FA are investigating an incident that nobody even saw. Yes I’m talking about Spitgate. The referee didn’t put it in his match report, no cameras picked it up, nobody saw it apart from two very annoyed Hull toss-pots and Cesc’s name was dragged through the mud. They brought up the ‘incident’ years ago with Ballack, even though Ballack never made a complaint about being spat at, and they even went as far to criticise Cesc’s clothing, what a pathetic excuse and its quite farcical if I’m honest. Why are the FA even bothering?????

Yet within a week we see a Steven Taylor intentional forearm smash on Andrey, in front of thousands of fans, at the game and sat at home. If that was in the street and the police had the incident on camera it would be enough to charge the person with assault with intent to wound. Yet Taylor wasn’t even booked???? Then there is also the childish antics  of man-ogre Wayne Wazza Rooney. Shrek gets sent off for petulance, refuses to leave the field, shouts his all at the ref and assaults the corner flag in a fit of childish rage, again caught on camera and seen by thousands of fans.

Whats the result???? Neither of them are castrated in the media and neither will be castrated by the FA, yet Cesc is the almighty villain?????  Its a piss take and this is one of the reasons why many England fans couldn’t give a toss about the English national team anymore. Over-hyped, overpaid, set of primadonas who aren’t fit to clean Bobby Moore’s boots.

One minute Wenger is destroying the English game by bringing in all these ‘foreigners’, then Theo gets a hatrick for England and Wenger’s Englands saviour. Hypocritical tossers.

Football wise its going to be a quiet fortnight guys, don’t get withdrawal symptoms!!!!

Jambo Roadsters – have you missed me?

    I’m back – and all alone 😦

  2. avenell says:

Morning again roadsters, I was letting the pole position go as I had inside info when it was on.. 😉

Hi Ras, how are you? I did ask about you yesterday if it makes you feel better.. Peaches said you were very busy..

  3. avenell says:

Kelsey.. I got the e mail thanks, there are a lot of points that I want to answer so I will need a bit of time..

  4. Big Raddy says:

    Morning All,

A fine rant here JJ. I enjoyed the whole piece, from RvP’s supposed ingratitude (who knows what he really said) to the England set-up.

And being a GOM (Grumpy Old Man) I agrre with it all.

The FA…… what a bunch of ineffective fools. They are gifted the opportunity of showing there is no room for violence on the pitch, and they bottle it. Taylor could clearly be seen to turn and check wher AA was prior to forearm smashing him.

The Rooney case beggars belief. This is not the first time for him, he does it every season, and yet his receives a laughable ban. I realise that 2 yellows = a one game ban, but his callous disregard and abuse of the Ref was clear. How can that assist the very expensive media campaign about ‘Respect’

Fat lot of good the Ray Winstone ads have done ….

  5. kelsey says:

    Nice post JonJon,
I echo your sentiments. One word descibes a lot of today’s footballers. LOYALTY (OR LACK OF IT).Only one team can win the various trophies,so that in the PL leaves 19 failures.I read our players wage bill has gone up 50% since 2005 yet with fewer players now we have 54 then we had 61.

The manager and coaching staff can only do so much,it’s the players at the end of the day that achieve the result, though careful substitution helps(but that is not always the case.)To be fair we have had a tremendous amount of injurie, but on the other hand we have too many average players, understudies which i have mentioned previously, and too many egoistic players. We need a team that works as a team, not a few individuals who want to be the star.It is far eay to manage a team that is winning and in harmony, than the present crop we have.Having said that,we have nurtured RVP through his injuries, and I for one hate all these quotes from our players to the media, which often get twisted out of all proportion.I would put a total ban on these interviews except after a game.Almunia wants to play for England,Ade compares himself to TH14,Gallas’s spat which should have been kept behind closed doors.Do the talking on the pitch, earn your ludicrous wages, win something then you are in a position to negotiate.

  6. avenell says:

I think RvP meant well in what he said, but the players with all the power they have being able to leave on a free means that a player honouring his contract makes him worthless at the end of the contact.
So if he doesn’t sign an extension soon, he has to go!!

  7. Big Raddy says:

    Agreed Kelsey

RvP was on the pitch during those 0-0 draws, he must take part of the shared responsibility.

Though it must be pointed out that he is at present negotiating a new contract, and players/agents think this is the best way forward. Threaten your employer prior to sitting down.

It worked for Adebayor. And Ronaldo

  8. rico01 says:

    Morning again all,

Good read JJ, and I agree with it all. Shrek is one of the most idolised players in this country yet the FA are not reacting week in week out to his attitude towards the ref and his abusive language clearly seen in front of the cameras – no wonder the kids of today are so disrespectful and violent –

As for Robin’s comments, he said this a while ago too, and my view is that he hasnt actually done a great deal over the last three years to warrant such a statement. If he goes, well so be it, as long as he is replaced. I love the player but he is a tad left footed and the time he spends getting the ball ready for his left foot, well often he has been disposessed of the ball. He seems to have also adopted the ‘pires 1st season syndrome’ and cant stay on his feet,,, Grrrrr

I know I am being boring now, but I also believe Thomas is soon to play. There was rumour he was going to be ready to play a week ago, but the Czech Manager made it clear that he would call him up to play for his country – so his return suddenly gets delayed for two weeks

  9. chaf says:

    Good morning

    Good rant JJ.

As far as international football is concerned, I gave up on it a few years back, with an occasional glance if an AFCer is involved.

Its almost like International football and the Prem has traded places. Watching England play used to be quite ‘exotic!'(I say that in the most Waynetta way), when they played against the cream, but now the cream are in the Prem/CL. Watching England is like going back to the old First Division. And I would never support a team with John Terry as captain.

I think the England team would make a good cartoon sketch for Beano, with Desperate Wayne eating cow pie, JT as a bully. I don’t know the rest but you all know what I mean…..

  10. Big Raddy says:

    Morning Rico

We have no need to replace RvP. Nik has a great eye for a pass, Theo has pace, Vela – well who knows. Then we have AA who plays the RvP role for Russia. Plus Mozart.

If he really does think that way, he can F.O.

  11. Big Raddy says:

    Chaf 🙂

Ferdinand is the split image of the Goofy guy in the Bash St Kids.

  12. chaf says:

I’m off with the dogs for an hour, I’ll be thinking of some characters…..

  13. avenell says:

And that’s from the 60’s before you have a pop.. 😉

  14. avenell says:

    hello, goodbye chaf.. 🙂

  15. rico01 says:

Hi Raddy – Never looked at it that way, Thomas, I cant wait to see him play again, so if he goes, we must get 16-18M for him ??

Have to say that I am more concerned that the club haven’t sorted Theo’s contract out yet, he is going to be one heck of a player once he is given a central role and I think he will score goals for fun…
I have probably written this before, but he and Mel were on Mr & Mrs Charity Quiz and he was asked who was more scarey, his dad or Arsene… Needless to say both he and Mel said ‘Arsene’ ! 😛

  16. rico01 says:

    RvP – 16-18 M I meant 😉

  17. avenell says:

I am just listening to the news, a school has sent a letter to parents whose 15 year old child died last year to say she must improve her attendance..

  18. rico01 says:

One other thing that has bugged me, Freddie has come out and said that Arsene would leave for a club with a big transfer kitty – Why does Freddie need to say such things in the paps, he has been gon a while now and unless Arsene had suddenly decided to confide in Freddie (no i dont think so either) What the heck does he know about our boss, GGrrrrrrrrrrrr

  19. rico01 says:

Ave, I heard that too, they are blaming a computer error – i think its diabloical, those poor parents…

  20. rico01 says:

    Shall I sneak a third in 🙂 😉 😉

  21. avenell says:

He also left for West Ham because they showed more ambition.. lol

He only said “he might”, but the papers don’t sell if they add “might not”..

  22. rico01 says:

ave – but why does he need to have a view, if i was asked that kind of question, I could only have one answer _ ‘I dont know, I have very little to do with AFC or their manager – I left long ago 😉

If Robinho was up for grabs at the end of the season, as he is clearly unhappy up north, would we want him at Arsenal –

    Thumbs up from me

  23. avenell says:

Robinho plays in the position we are at our strongest, especially if Rosicky comes back as good or better than he was..

  24. rico01 says:

    That’ll be a no then 😦

  25. rico01 says:

Off for a while, you are all free to chat away now 😛

  26. avenell says:

Ljungberg was hounded out from arsenal as part of cost cutting. in his last few years he was ineffective so the wenger obe axe fell..
    freddie has a few issues..

  27. kelsey says:

like most of you i have at the most a vague interest in the national team.I see enough of the so called England fans with their tops on,making a complete nuisance of themselves over here in the Summer, that sometimes one is ashamed and embarrassed to be English.I watched a Panorama programme after the Last World Cup and they followed these yobs. They mainly support lower league clubs, you can see their banners in the stadiums, and it is their one chance of glory to witness a big match and they have no qualms as to their behaviour,it’s intentional. It applies in other countries as well, but the english have developed a fine art as to how not to behave.

With regards to Rooney,he is what you see, a highly talented, average intelligent foul mouthed yob,and for that reason he would never be regarded by me as a World Class Player.

  28. kelsey says:

    chaf,
out of interest what breed of dogs do you have ? We have 6 dogs all rescue dogs.2 boxers,1 labrador mix,1 pidenko(spanish hunting dog) 1 yorkie mixture and a beautiful jet black baby greyhound.

  29. kelsey says:

    rico,
I will give you your due,in your never ending belief that Tomas will be playing for us in the next few weeks.

  30. rico01 says:

    Hi Kelsey

I expect life is a lot better now that Mrs K is home, how is Ben doing ?

time will tell re Thomas, and i hope his delay is down to International week. I see Clichy has responded to links with AC Milan, I know we have Gibbs and Traore but I would rather he stay with us than join Senderos and Flamoney – surely seeing the way their game has gone it would be enough to make him realise where he is better off

  31. London says:

    Jonjon

That was an excellent rant. Whether RVP said those things or not it is difficult to be sure but I really enjoyed reading the piece.

    Rico

You will always have an ally in me when it comes to talking about Rosicky and you cannot say too much. A player doesn’t get a title like “Little Mozart” for nothing. I still agree with your guess that he has not suffered another set back; the announcement was made to avoid him having to play for the Czech Republic.

  32. rico01 says:

Hey London, what you been up to this wet and windy morning ??

And thank you for your belief in that I am not going mad with my theory 😉 I really rate Thomas – had he been fit this season, we would have been much much stronger, and would very rarely seen that clown Eboue.

  33. London says:

    Hello Rico

Just come back from doing my 20 lengths in the local pool.

  34. rico01 says:

Get you Mr Fit London – 😉

  35. Rasputin says:

Hey rico – what about our lady cricketers….they showed the men how to do it!

  36. rico01 says:

Hi Rasp – how you doing?

They sure did, I have played against Claire Taylor, she is a fine cricketer 😉

  37. Rasputin says:

I’m good thanks rico – just very busy as ‘spring is sprung’ and the gardening industry has come to life!

Everybody keeps posting ‘my opinions’ on here so I’ve got no-one to take issue with, and I was brought up to keep shtum if I’ve got notyhing to say 😉

  38. rico01 says:

Ah, of course, busy busy times ahead for bot you and peaches – we are spoilt here, we have our own little Gardners World to help us all out 😉

I really hope you and peaches have a lot of work and business thrives 😛

  39. raif says:

hey hey Roadsters.. how you all doing??

  40. rico01 says:

raif – you old tinker, all good i hope 🙂

  41. raif says:

hello rico.. im well thanks. much better then before. still got the niggls of what ever it was still lingering in me but im fixing up good thank god.

good to see the arsenal pressing on well. just goes to show how a good footballing weekend can make u feel lol

  42. rico01 says:

raif – totally agree, going into a boring international two weeks with a good win behind us makes it all so much easier 😉

  43. JonJon says:

    afternoon all,

the way i see it is that if a player refuses to sign a new contract we should just sell him, nobody is bigger than the club and last season we let our players walk all over us….

flamini should of been sold at xmas, not diarra, hleb walked all over us and ade should of been sold after what he did…

if robin wants to earn a massive deal then he should earn it and if he doesnt and he refuses to sign we should just sell him at the earliest opportunity.

  44. JonJon says:

hi raif, how are ya big fella

  45. kelsey says:

    Hi Raif,
another crock who is on the mend, well done.

Jonjon, I can’t add anymore to what you have said, read my earlier post.

Good news is that my son can come over in 2 weeks and have a rest for a month, providing his energy levels have improved.

Does supporting the gunners make one ill 😉

  46. JonJon says:

kelsey i read it and i share your sentiments completely….

the media dont mess with fergie because he just bans them from interviews,i think only sky are allowed to speak to him…

he wont speak to MOTD and theyve spent all their time since they were banned kissing Man utds arse trying to make it up..

the FA wont mess with fergie because he’ll just pull his players out of the england squad…. he has the media and the FA both by the balls and it shows when the likes of rooney and ronaldo are allowed to throw tantrums and hissyfits every week….

  47. raif says:

Hello JonJon / Kelsey good to see you again 🙂

im doing good thanks. feeling better then before. i started feeling like i was Rosicky Sick, and would Never get better but lucky im pulling through now lol 😉

as for international’s they couldnt have come at a shiter time in my view. we was marching on with good momentum now with this break it could mess us up.

  48. JonJon says:

i think its come at a good time fo us raif….

liverpool are flying and this could knock them out of their stride, manutd and chelsea are going into the break on the back of losses, in manures case the back of two losses…and teams hate losing and waiting weeks to put it right.

we havent been flying, but weve been consistent, and when the break is over we will have 4/ 5 first teamers back….i have every confidence that we will come off better than the others at the end of this fortnight. 😉

  49. avenell says:

RAIFY!!!!! how is Londons best dressed man?

It’s been a while mate.. I hope little Elijah never caught your disease.. 😦

  50. raif says:

oh yeah JonJ, i can see were ur comming from and agree, i hope ur right aswell.

the only thing i wanted was to carry on marching on. with chelsea and manutd losing all eyes and presure would have been on them to react. now they can regroup.

liverpool on the other hand i dont know. they can go either way. i just hope this little run of good results for them comes to an end fast aswell.

  51. JonJon says:

i think liverpool have that winning mentality in them at the moment, but they are abit like villa, when the pressure is on the they hit the wall with a defeat thier heads will drop abit like it did at xmas after benitez rant in the press…. this break is bad for them and if either alonso, gerrard or torres come back with an injury they will faulter….

  52. raif says:

avenell .. 😀 hey hey fella. im doing much better thanks….

me and the missus was worried he could have got what i have, as he started coughing aswell..

but that soon passed so “touch wood” he was perfectly fine. 😉

  53. rico01 says:

    JJ/Ave – Afternoon 😛

Sure as heck wish we had taken 18M for Ade last summer, he has been pants – he has a lot to make for when he comes back …

  54. rico01 says:

JJ – lets hope all three pick up injuries, I really do not want them to win the EPL, Manure over them any day – But what I really hope for is they both and the russians lose all their games and we sneak in at the last minute 😛

  55. kelsey says:

I can’t agree about liverpool after their thrashing of real Madrid,United and Villa, they must be on a real high.nevertheless I can’t ever remember a team that relies so much on one man i.e. Stevie Gerrard.

What i do know is that as we have to play all 3,we could well determine who wins the PL.

  56. rico01 says:

kelsey – you are spot on, with Stevie G, they are not as forceful, i reckon he will be up for all the awards this time around – sadly!

  57. raif says:

    kelsey

i think we have a big say in were the prem goes. i hope beat them all..

  58. rico01 says:

    oops – without SG

  59. rico01 says:

raif – i reckon we will beat Manure away and Chelsea at home, and a draw against the dippers, at least….

  60. rico01 says:

I have done it again, scared you all off….

What have I done, I am all alone 😦 😦

    🙄

    😉

  61. JonJon says:

if we go unbeaten from now until the end of the season and we beat all of them, who knows, weve come back before from the dead….. 😉

  62. rico01 says:

I am foing to pop off for a while, have a good evening, hope to catch you later..

Please say hi to peaches if she is about later 😉

  63. rico01 says:

oops – going not foing 😉

JJ – I like your way of thinking 😛

  64. JonJon says:

we can still do it rico…

just think if we’d of signed andrey in the summer and we wouldnt of lost against fulham hull and stoke, and we’d of held on to them 2 goal leads against villa and spuds we’d be right in the mix… 😦

  65. rico01 says:

JJ – I am not doubting you my friend, until it is not possible, it is always possible 😛

and just think JJ if we had had a goal scorer to finish all the chances Ade, Robin and Nik have missed

    GGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 😉

Off shopping now so be good all

  66. kelsey says:

    JonJon,
that was the biggest cock up to our season, not buying AA in the summer plus not replacing Flamini and IMO we should have kept Gilberto at least to play 20+ games. No,we buy an aged crock in Silvestre,if he was any good would Fergie have let him go Bischoff another waste of wages.Yet suddenly we find 15 or 17 million for AA in january, madness sheer madness./

  67. JonJon says:

i know kelsey,i said the same thing at the start of the season

the reason why so many fans have been so dissapointed this season is because most of us could see that we werent active enough in the summer….

games against hull and fulham etc was just a chance for many fans to say to wenger ‘we told you so’

the summer was what has made this season so difficult, the mismanagement that happend then has most likely cost us the PL title after coming so close last year we all knew we needed strengthening with 1 or two players. instead we lose half our midfield and bring in nobody of proven abitlity….

hopefully it hasnt cost us the other two cups.. we’ve spent the majority of this season learning, lets hope weve got it together.

  68. JonJon says:

and the signing of arshavin is what leads me to believe someone like ade is off in the summer,

wenger likes to balance the books with signings, and i believe he’ll do that in the next window.

it will probably be two players out/two players in with a financial profit as well, unless someone like usmanov or kroenke puts their hands in their pockets, which i cant see happening…

  69. kelsey says:

I agree about Ade,he is a disruptive influence and though we need him I think gallas will go and vela will go out on loan again.

  70. JonJon says:

i hope gallas stays if im honest, hes been awsome since he doesnt have to captain the team.

i was more hoping for ade and eboue to leave

maybe vela does need a loan, this time to a PL club like what weve done with Jay at west brom…

what do you think about ramsey kelsey???? waste of 5mil or will he come good???

he seems to have dissapeared recently.

  71. Big Raddy says:

    Evenong.

Ramsey is a strange one. It is difficult to asess his progress. The Cardiff away game was disastrous for him. AW gave him some pitch time after to help his confidence.

I have faith in him, however his position is filled by so many fine players, not the least, Cesc.

I hope he can come good, Next season will be important to his Arsenal career.

  72. Big Raddy says:

    Evenong ??

  73. JonJon says:

    evenong raddy,

i dont see any more where ramsey stands with us, cesc and rosicky are due back, denilson and song have held the midfield quite well as well as diaby.

    where does ramsey fit in????

  74. Big Raddy says:

    JJ Don’t ask me?

All we can say is that he remains a teenager, and needs at least 3 years to develop. By which time, things will be different in the 1st team.

  75. JonJon says:

he certainly needs to get some games next season, wether its in the reserves or out on loan, but not playing at all cant be helping him one bit.

  76. Big Raddy says:

    Agreed JJ

There are some tough decisions ahead for AW. We appear to be top heavy in midfield and attack. Heads will roll.

Do we need Simpson, Randall, Bischoff, one of Diaby/Song/Denilson. Ade, Senderos ++++

Do we know if Traore is a better LB than Gibbs? Who goes?

It will be an interesting summer.

  77. JonJon says:

thats an excellent observation mate,we sure cant keep them all Raddy,

and there is alot of transfer funds available there that we could use for other areas

  78. kelsey says:

I am back.Raddy is right about Ramsey.the cardiff game shattered his confidence and he and Wilshere have been resigned to the reserves for the rest of the season.Hard to jusge at their age,but my money would be on Wilshere to succeed.

  79. Big Raddy says:

If I had any money, it would be on Ramsey.

  80. kelsey says:

Do you want another bet Raddy 🙂

  81. kelsey says:

    Rasputin,
if you are around is the answer to last weeks colour, white . i forgot to ask you.

  82. raif says:

hey lads.. im 90 % sure ade will be sold in the summer if we find a buyer for him.

think about this.. Ade has been out for ages with a hamstring injury. but a hamstring injury is about 3 weeks to recover from. he has been out for longer then that. MUCH LONGER ..

this tells me Wenger has seen Ade adds nothing to the team and has seen his big head is not doing any favours for the rest of the team.

  83. avenell says:

He’s also joined the Togo squad raif.. mmm.

  84. JonJon says:

i hope he does go, and i hope wenger has dropped him, we dont want him here anymore and hopefully wenger doesnt either

the thing with wenger, is although he seems a soft touch, he is actually quite ruthless when he wants to be.

ade put a gun to his head in the summer and wenger must of been pissed but felt he was in a corner… now he has a whole choice of strikers at his disposal and ade has let everydown this season, which wasnt really a big suprise really….

the only thing is can we still get 20mil+ for the useless lump

  85. JonJon says:

and i thought he wasnt ever going to travel with the togo squad again unless he was on the plane with the president of togo…. talk about letting it all go to your head….

wenger must of thought christ what have i got myself in for with this one…

apparently though, ades tempremant was the same at monaco, and he spent most his time sat on the bench and being fined because of his antics their.

we should of just bloody sold him, id of taken my chances with vela and bentder instead..

  86. raif says:

Not only that have you noticed Ade dont score any goles when it comes to the business end of the season.

his goals dry up faster then well in the egyptian dessert

  87. JonJon says:

exactley raif, last season we were on fire and giving ade his chances on a plate, then he went through a 2 month period without scoring, any top top striker would of continued scoring.

ade has proved t everyone what he really is this season, a one season wonder.

it wasnt so bad when he was on 25k a week but now hes on 80+k its a whole different ball game.

    hes got to go.

  88. JonJon says:

see, if we sold ade we would still have

RvP, Dudu, – who are much better strikers
nikki – same player as ade but younger and on lower wages
vela, theo and arshavin – who can all play up top.

    thats 6 strikers. without ade.

we dont need him and its a huge chunk off the wage bill

  89. avenell says:

Last August we only had a bendtner who was unproven, RvP who could never play more than 10 games a season. And Dudu was just a restoration project.. so you can see why Ade thought it was a good time to play up and slag himself about a bit.. He won’t have it so easy now but then again he got what he wanted MONEY!

  90. JonJon says:

thats right ave, wenger was backed into a corner with it, ade was the only striker we had who wasnt young or wasnt injured long term

wenger has options now and ade will be made to pay for his greed this summer…. i hope 😉

  91. JonJon says:

has ade even got into double figures this term????

  92. avenell says:

Stop agreeing jonjon your giving this site a bad name.. 😉

  93. avenell says:

He is into seven figures with his wage bill the overpaid tosser..

  94. avenell says:

    Jonjon check this out lol…

  95. JonJon says:

    LMAO

the worst part about it is, is that ive seen him miss far easier than that…..

  96. avenell says:

There has been a few of those pics knocking about now raif.. no smoke without fire.. I had the original 82″ one but some bastard stole it from me at a campsite in sailsbury..
They used to say it was like the wimbledon ballboys kit..

  97. raif says:

i dont like it.. i will not be buying it..just like last season 3rd away kit.

the fake barca looking one, nasty kit. and green is just as nasty aswell. everyone in the league will be laughing at us..

  98. avenell says:

I don’t mind the green one I hated the barca one thou.. I’m sure it was an attempt to see what our players looked like in a barca shirt before they signed them..

We will be bigger than them in 2 years ..

  99. JonJon says:

nikki will look pretty in that, matches his boots and hair and everything

  100. chaf says:

I’m back and I fear too late to partake in any banter. Its been a good read, todays converse… I have some questions, I will repeat if I don’t get answers. Ave, you have an interest in old cars?
And Kelsey, a hero in the dog world. I have a rescue Cairn terrier, a drive to Norfolk from North London, to Sheringham to get Teddy. Found in a sack in a forest (how many football references there?) And the lady I will be moving to Spain with, and my fellow walker, has a huge Weimaraner. The dogs are best friends! I’ve had dogs all my life, and we are in the process of sorting out dog and cat passports

  101. JonJon says:

    howdy chaf

    good day out???

  102. chaf says:

Not out, I’ve been up in the loft working, and came down about 90 mins ago to cook my son a roast dinner and catch the end of Clough

  103. JonJon says:

Is that the film?? any good?????

  104. chaf says:

No, a doc on ITV1 tonight, but I’ve got two comp tickets for a preview tomorrow night and nobody wants them!

  105. JonJon says:

i dont fancy watching it if im honest, football films never do it for me unless they have humourous storylines, and even then they arent the best.

  106. JonJon says:

i like the dog story chaf, im a dog lover myself, i got a yorkie, shes well loyal, weve been through so much shit together its unbeleivable.

when im in a really bad mood and i come home from work she always make me smile, shes always excited to see me, i love it.

she knows when i ill and everything.

  107. chaf says:

Yeah, exactly. This dog knows every move I make seconds before I make it. Although thats probably not too difficult.
And you’re spot on with the films. Never seen a good football film. Sean Bean? Bend it like Beckham. Even that Zidane film was pretentious shite. All slow motion art. What a load of bollocks. Has anyone seen a good football film. Wake up and discuss…

  108. JonJon says:

Mike basset england manager was quite funny, thats the best one ive probably seen

  109. chaf says:

Scraped through, but as always the football clips were awful. JJ I’m now retiring for the night… Goodnight and thanks for the chat..

  110. JonJon says:

    goodnight mate….

  111. rico01 says:

Morning All – How are we doing ?

  112. chaf1 says:

Good morning if anyone’s there, just checking to see if I got this gravatar thing right. They wouldn’t let me use Chaf so I did it as something else, and tried to change the name. I couldn’t do that, so I re invented myself as Chaf1. Must get the number plate next.

  113. avenell says:

Morning Roadsters.. New post if you could press the home page!!

Morning Chaf1 .. you were in moderation because you changed a few things..
