Cesc hasn’t asked to leave? Of course he has!!

Seeing as Avenell resurrected the debate on ‘You Know Who’ yesterday, I thought I would continue it today…

I watched the Spain match the other night whilst away on holidays, the picture on the television was dreadful, it was just like watching snow fall!!

The one thing the ‘snow’ didn’t hide though was the words from the mouth of our current captain.

Don’t quote me but the interview went something like this….

Interviewer -‘Cesc, how are things with Spain’ ?

Cesc – ‘Everything here is good, we look at our opponent three or four days before we play them, we learn all about  and we are well prepared’

‘At Arsenal we don’t do that, we never look at who we are going to play, we just play them – if we look at them we do it for ourselves, where as with Spain we look at the opposition together, we are much better prepared’…..

Still, preparation didn’t stop the Spanish side from losing to Switzerland, did it…. GOOD!!!!

Like I said, don’t quote me, but you must see what I am getting at.

Why make such comments to the person interviewing, why have a dig at the club who has made him the man and player he is….

I read so many comments from bloggers who say ‘Cesc has not asked to leave’ – I don’t agree. I think he has asked to leave, the only thing is that we haven’t been told of his request in case Barcelona – aka ‘Stains’ don’t cough up the right amount and he ends up staying.

That interview with our captain did nothing to convince me that he wants to stay at Arsenal, never before has he said a bad word about our club but suddenly that has changed. I wonder what the next one will bring…..

Say what you want about Arsene Wenger, but for once I think he is making sure that come the beginning of the season, if Cesc Fabregas is still wearing an Arsenal shirt, he doesn’t have to face a barrage of abuse from many many unhappy fans….

Think what you want, but my view is  Cesc Fabregas has asked to leave Arsenal Football Club, and Barca will find the money from somewhere to get him.

This is a sight you won’t see again, I’d bet Ave’s house on it…… 😉

Hi all, i was bloody seething when i watched his i/v, still am….

  2. James says:

more alarming behind the intent of what he says is the information contained within it. you can clearly see now why Arsenal are getting battered from pillar to post by all the big clubs, wenger doesn’t even talk to the squad about negating the other team. this is fucking ridiculous and I feel the manager should be got shot of if that’s the case.

  3. bob says:

I’m more concerned that our players don’t watch video of their opponents? Sports teams have been watching tape forever and I’m pretty surprised Wenger isn’t utilizing it with the players, especially considering how ‘ahead of the curve’ he is with everything else.

  4. rico says:

james, did you see the i/v??

  5. mangetout says:

maybe analysing the opposition is not such a bad idea though, i’m surprised they don’t do it at arsenal. why not?

  6. Suhail.TV says:

Afternoon all…Bloody spain sans cesc got it…

  7. Bogi says:

Hi there. Why don’t you watch the interview??? I know you haven’t because it didn’t go like that at all. You are giving it a bad spin while in actuality he didn’t say anything bad about Arsenal. He was asked to compare Spain’s preperations to Arsenal’s and he told an objective truth. Just go and watch it and you’ll see what I mean 😉

  8. Dirty Turkey says:

Why are you seething Pedro? It’s a justified comment. If AW isnt prepping his teams properly then that’s a scandal and we shold be told about it.

We already know that he doesn’t train set pieces or how to defend. It makes you wonder if there are other basics that Wenger thinks he doesnt have to dirty his hands with while concentrating solely on one-touch football and conditioning.

  9. Stew says:

    Guys,

Cesc was asked a direct question “How does preparation differ from Arsenal to Spain?” He answered, and if you saw the whole interview (unedited), it was clear to see he showed no preference either way he merely answered the question, stating the approach was different and neither was better than the other.

Please try and rise above the sick campaign to get Cesc to Farca…

Arsene Wenger said, he has spoken to all World Cup players and NONE of these were about their futures…

Cesc will be a gooner next season. He will eventually go, but he is not forcing a move….like people would like.

  10. rico says:

Bogi, you need to watch again, he said all that i think when he was about ‘his future’….

  11. agirlagunner says:

Hola, rico. I hope your holidays have been terrif!

Saw the i/v, and I could hardly believe it was him. 😦

Because it’s YKW, I feel ever-compelled to give my two cents, and I must say his was a perfectly gratuitous comment. And how horribly in poor form! He is mindlessly undoing all the goodwill he has built with the Club and its supporters. Can’t say we’ll all react similarly, but I for one, am far, far, far less enamored of him now.

  12. rico says:

    Hi STV and agag…

    Spot on comment agag….

  13. rimz says:

bollocks. He didn’t say anything negative about Arsenal. Use your head you reactionary bumbling buffons. “Oh oh, he said something which if looked in the right way, could be assumed to be mildly negative but not really but lets just assume it is a huge fucking deal and he is really unhappy”

Arsenal players know their opponents, they watch Premier League matches week in, week out, they don’t need to watch video after video and concentrating on their own game is fine. What a thick-as-shit blog.

    Sigh, man, grow a brain.

  14. Suhail.TV says:

    Hi rico… where you’ve been… ❗

  15. james says:

Stew is right. Stop stirring and get your facts straight.

If no one makes a big deal about the cesc situation and Barca are simply told to fuck off every time they try to nick our players they’ll eventually stop ruining our club.

He’ll be here next season, he’ll go in his own good time but that’s ok. For those who think we should cash in now, i think there’s not a price we can put on showing Barcelona we wont be pushed around any more and keep making them world class players they can then just pressure us to sell through the press campaigns they invent.

  16. agirlagunner says:

Fat lot of good all that meticulous preparation did his team though. Hah. Serves the stains right! (whistles a happy tune)

    Hi, STV.

  17. Bogi says:

Rico mate, watch this and tell me I am wrong!

My guess is you have seen some sort of edited version…

  18. rico says:

STV, went house hunting on the Sussex coast, but too windy…

agag, had a fab time thanks, but had to come home early because the dogs wouldn’t settle 😦

  19. Red Arse says:

Hi Rico, welcome back, hope you enjoyed your hols. 🙂

Having read your article and some very different comments on other blogs, you may have a barney on your hands!

It just goes to show how people seeing or hearing the same thing can all end up heatedly claiming to have seen/heard something totally different, however illogical that seems.

I did not see the interview, but the written report seems a little ambiguous. I have gone beyond caring frankly.

He is under a lot of pressure, professional; personal; national/catalan etc and that is difficult for a young guy.

  20. rico says:

    Hi RA 🙂

I did say dont quote me but it went something like this……

To me he was praising Spani, and knocking Arsenal, what got to me was he has always defended AFC, but didn’t this time…

  21. Suhail.TV says:

Evening agag…Hw the things going..Infact he is seemingly captivated by that bloody XAVI and Co.I damn hate that cacked company..

  22. rico says:

Bogi, thats not the one I saw, I watched the pre match i/v when he was in his Spainsh shirt….

  23. rico says:

STV, you mean ‘The Stain company’ 😉

  24. Red Arse says:

Rico, it seems you and Bogi are talking about two separate interviews, that might explain the different reactions.

As I said, I did not see/hear either interview and have been very puzzled by the adverse reactions, maybe the answer is there were 2 interviews. V. cunning.

  25. Bogi says:

Rico, where did you see the interview?

  26. goonerwife says:

Since they dont play these teams in the world cup that often it makes sense to watch them cos they are not familiar doesn’t it?
In the premiership dependant on manager and players we already know exactly what the teams will do.

I just wish arsenal fans would stay strong and not join in with the media and their bulls*hi. But i guess i can wish all i want.

  27. agirlagunner says:

Hola, RA. While I’m perfectly aware of the scissors-and paste proclivities of the press, YKW has done absolutely nothing to quell speculation about his future. That doesn’t inspire confidence and hardly endears.

I wish, I could be “beyond caring”, but well, anything YKW means I’m hopeless. 🙂

    rico, house hunting? I like!

    STV,

  28. rico says:

I think you are right RA, I was in the company of others when we all listened, we couldn’t believe it was Cesc 😦 😦

  29. agirlagunner says:

STV, I’m good. How hateful are the stains?

  30. rico says:

agag, we are going right along the south coast of England, nothing yet though but so desperate to live by the sea….

  31. rico says:

goonerwife, i take on board what you are saying, but maybe looking deeper into the oppo in the league would get us beating them, that is of course if cesc is truthing…

  32. James says:

Whether he said it in a critical tone or not is completely irrelevant, it’s the content of what he said. Wenger never bothers talking to the players about the opponent????????? This is outrageous. How the fuck are you supposed to beat the big clubs consistently unless you can, at least partially, negate their strengths? Ok, it might not make any difference in the end, but in terms of preparation it is surely essential. This smacks of bad management at best, complete arrogance at worst.

  33. Good to be a GOONAH!! says:

haha… this is silly. Cesc said that Spain prepare their match for the competition. Arsenal do not. We know that. Wenger lets them get on with it and focus on their own football. It worked for the Invincibles and it will work again.

Fabregas loves our club. He is going nowhere. And we will win the league next season.

  34. Suhail.TV says:

Where ever the interviews are.. he keeps the fans doomed.. at least for short term..

  35. Erick says:

Hola all whats going on Rico, RA, Agag or stv

  36. agirlagunner says:

Love the spirit, GTBAG. And may everything you say come true. 🙂

  37. rico says:

James, what i have written is not word for word, but its pretty much what he said and that was before i drank alcohol 😉

  38. James says:

The invincibles was a loooooooong time ago. Arsenal are not the best anymore, the manager needs to be flexible, he isn’t.

  39. rico says:

STV, i’ll see if I can find it

  40. rockofgilberto says:

You’d bet Ave’s house? I’ll put mine against it. Easiest win ever. HE’S NOT LEAVING. Not this summer anyway. He’s on a 5-yr contract, AW says hes not for sale, and the c**talans have NO money (in addition to never having paid us for Hleb OR Henry).

Additionally, since we play the same domestic clubs over and over, video scouting isn’t nearly as necessary in the league as it is internationally. Still, might be something for Le Boss to consider implementing…

  41. agirlagunner says:

    Hola, Weeds! How are you?

  42. rico says:

YOOOO Erick, how you doing 🙂

  43. Suhail.TV says:

yeah stains.. they are hateful Agag… as much as Pique’s face..you still in mnla..? no SA tour??

  44. rico says:

James, absolutely and we are living on that season, other teams change and we need to re-assessing every game and our approach. I believe we play how arsenal play regardless of who we play, that needs to change..

  45. Suhail.TV says:

    ERic!!!

  46. rico says:

rocko, i had to edit a little word, it sends comments into spam… get angry but we gals and guys don;t like the ‘c’ word here, thanks 🙂

  47. Red Arse says:

Hi Agag, I know your proclivities vis a vis YKW, and it must be especially difficult for you and Rico.

I don’t want CF to go either but I am resigned to it happening. Never mind, I thought, Le Prof has lined up Ozil to replace him at £12m. Trouble is, Arsene always waits and then reacts to events, and now Chelski and the Mancs have whipped in £20m bids (allegedly) which immediately rules us out if that is true. 😦

Careful about the coast Rico, I hear there’s a lot of water and sand or something.

  48. charybdis1966 says:

Hi Rico, sorry I don’t agree with you on this at all. I’m sure it was part of a long interview and as usual the dago media will only highlight and emphasize the bit that makes the likelihood of their 2-team league luring another one of our players over more likely.
Unless he also added, “Of course Spain prepare better than Arsenal and I wish we’d have done our pre-matches in the same way as Spain” I suggest his remarks are merely compare and contrast rather than a judgement of what is best as in “I think this(del Bosque’s) way is best” and “Barca please buy me now.”
Next game I go to I’ll e mail you a pic of Cesc over.
    Is Avenell’s gaff nice?

  49. oliver says:

Disagree completely! Again, I cannot see how Cesc’s comments constitute a “dig” at Arsenal. The preparations are different, Spain study their opponents more, whereas Arsenal worry less about how our opponents play and try and play our way, regardless of the opposition. We have only one style of play – is this news to you? Seeing we play the same way for everyone, it is a surprise the players do not spend as much time breaking the opposition down? What Cesc did in the interview is “compare and contrast”, not criticize anyone. The closest he got to praise/criticism is his first few phrase “Everything here is good…” and that was in direct response to the question “Cesc, how are things with Spain?” We saw the rags twist this story left, right and centre yesterday, to suit their “Arsenal in crisis” agenda. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I see these comments as less ambiguous as many others. Again, there was no criticism of Arsenal in the remarks, just a comparison. But as soon as one rag states that Cesc “took a pop” at Arsenal, the others fall into line and, sadly, many Arsenal supporters do as well. That is EXACTLY the reaction Barca and the Catalan/British tabloid media want – get angry at Cesc for some innocuous comments and develop a rift between Cesc and Arsenal/Arsenal supporters! That serves Barca’s interests quite nicely…

  50. Erick says:

Am good Ladies keep the love coming before Wath comes back 🙂 😉 Rico hope you had fun before you got drank. I have said it before and I will say it again Cesc started all this with the 1st interview he wants out and am not suprised by his outburst

  51. Suhail.TV says:

I’ll win ave’s house in that bet rico… and I’ll give it to you if it’s on the coast

  52. agirlagunner says:

rico, for someone who lives in the tropics, I don’t much like the water. Haha. A whirlytub is all that I could possibly need.

no WC for me, stv. I am swamped with work, low on funds, and I have other trips lined up so “I. Must Save.” has been the mantra. Well, Pique’s face got bloodied up, if that helps. 🙂 But it’s Busquets’ mug that I can’t stand.

  53. rico says:

Hi chary, you do that me old mucker 🙂 no idea re ave’s house though…. 😉

  54. Suhail.TV says:

Hi eric.. you brings happiness man 🙂 so whats up with the zulu girls/ladies

  55. rico says:

oliver, there is no prob with disagreeing, its how i see and i know i will be right come the start of the season 😉 😉

  56. avenell says:

😦 I’m bloody homeless now thanks to Cesc..

  57. rico says:

Erick, spot on, he had two choices,

    1) Boss I dont want to leave Arsenal, tell them and the fans that and i will too…

    2) Boss, I want to go home, make sure you get the best price for me but please don’t tell the fans in case Barca are too tight….

    🙂

  58. Suhail.TV says:

never mind… we got a GG filled man there.. agag

  59. rico says:

Thanks STV, not sure it’s on the coast though 😦

  60. rico says:

agag, if i lived where you do, you wouldn’t get me out of the water – I love it…. Can’t swim well though, but I dont care 😉

  61. Erick says:

STV they are good but hard to satify. AGAG you want a house in the desert ha ha ha

  62. rico says:

Hi ave, good, then you will have time on your hands without the work at home, i know just the thing to fill your time 😉 😉

  63. Red Arse says:

Hi Erick, leave the gals alone or W will return from SA with a vuvuzela especially for you. 🙂

All this interpreting a) what was said and b) what was meant, is what has started at least 2 world wars.

What I mean is that, if I said “Rico always makes me a nice cup of tea, but Agag doesn’t”, Agag could feel justifiably annoyed by the contrast.

With YKW, we can all fill in the blanks.

  64. charybdis1966 says:

Time will tell Rico me ‘ole China, but this is one occasion where Wenger’s legendary stubbornness will ensure Tapalona will not get their presidential campaign pawn.
The club and the manager have given Tapalona the middle finger salute, and rightly so, so anything but a strict adherence to every letter of that statement in response to the so called “bid” of £30m will result in a serious loss of face to the club and Wenger, who will leave if Cesc does go, and Avenell gets to keep his house.
Incidentally I find it hilarious that Swiss Tony’s team beat Xavi’s lot – and with Iniesta injured and Del Bosque not keen on starting non-Primera Liga players who knows if Spain will make it past the group stages?

  65. Suhail.TV says:

Hello avenell.. but there are reasons to cheer.. Arsenal will be fatter cause of cesc..

  66. Suhail.TV says:

RA you know..Agag but interested in giving us GG like things..

  67. rico says:

Its just another Nikki B thing for me chary 😉 Honestly though, in my heart he has gone, even Lee Dixon thinks its not if, its when, as in during or after the WC…

I hope Spain get don’t get through chary, the whol lot of them have added their view on the cesc debate, tapping up at its very worst…

  68. Ralph says:

If you’d been able to see the whole thing clearly (obviously not your fault) you’d have seen the interviewer ask the differences in preparation between Spain and Arsenal and he answered.

No dig, no twisting, just a straight forward answer to a straight forward question.

  69. Naz says:

Why you moaning? If we did nullify opponents, maybe we would win something.

  70. avenell says:

    HI everyone..

STV.. Your right we shouldn’t care about material things.. Arsenal are much more important..

Rico.. I am too busy now packing and getting the house ready for the new occupants.. 😉

What you doing back anyway?? I thought the dogs liked the seaside.

  71. cut & paste says:

Barcelona want to reduce the competition by purchasing some of the best players in the world, who wouldnt? They almost re-established themselves as the Alpha dogs of football in the CL semi’s 2010, but they were out thought by Mourinho, no “luck” (Wenger), no coincidence, just a superior tactical understanding of the opposition When Arsenal played Barcelona our display was embarrassing, we were 5 year old kids playing adults…”give us the ball Mr”!…..Suggestions that Cesc should not go to Barcelona for the above or any or other reasons are hopeless and futile.
Cesc,”Here, maybe two three days before the game, we start looking at some videos, we know more or less the starting eleven that is going to play … we know nearly everything about them”………………..

    What Video’s..porno?

Sadly we are not the team of the late 90′ & early to mid 00’s, we are now very predictable and 2D. Then we possessed individual players who were unpredictable, that could anticipate and read ahead, they had intellect and individual genius. We had players who loved Arsenal .. DB10 & H14.. they not only influenced the game but the players, they were united on their road of demolition.
To Cesc, so now he is learning of other teams tactics? rather than “go kick the ball about son” …….his education at Arsenal is finished, he has no one to aspire too, where does his inspiration come from in the current squad.
He has run out of patience no question, we were only ever baby sitting him and now his parents have come to collect.
No one can sustain any relationship on repeated promises, if you continually promised to “change” for 5 years despite how much you loved your GF, Wife, she would leave you.
Is Cesc likely to question openly Wenger’s approach & philosophy…no, but he will leave.
When you hear the words “we just need a couple of players” …….mmm, yes but inevitable injuries with no substantial or equivalent replacement?
Great so the Academy “farm” is making a tidy little profit, and the 90% of the prodigies get little or no 1st team experience before being sold or put out on loan…never to return.
Sure we have to survive, but we have been “found out” our tactics are antiquated and Wenger is not the new kid on the block anymore…its “Ground Hog Day”
We need heroes, the players need heroes…where are they?

  72. rico says:

Hi Naz, I’m not moaning…. well not about that, so we should be looking at the oppo, just dissapointed by cesc… 😦

  73. oliver says:

Perhaps, I would say that you have a fifty percent chance of being right! Come to think of it, the odds are the same for me! Look, nobody knows what Cesc is really thinking – perhaps he does want out and perhaps he is going to hold the club to ransom. Only he really knows for certain. The other side is that perhaps he really loves Arsenal, believes in the club and where we are headed. Either case can be argued, but until the man himself comes out and unequivocally states that he wants a transfer, we are simply interpreting comments and nuances. For my part, I think that if there were no other factors in play (squad situations at each club, transfer fee, etc) I think Cesc would prefer to transfer now. But I also think that he will not force the issue, and if nothing can be worked out he will be happy to stay as OUR Captain and give his all for our cause. It is all speculation on my part, but I have nothing concrete to go on. Just the same as someone who interprets his comments are criticism of Arsenal/AW – it is how you view those comments and what context you take them in. One thing I do know for certain, however, is there is a concerted campaign by Barca (aided and abetted by the British and Catalan rags) to provoke a rift between Cesc and Arsenal/Arsenal supporters in order to force a transfer through on Barca’s terms. There is no way I am going to accept that Cesc wants out now just because a potential buyer and agenda-driven media hacks say so – let Cesc tell us that. Not an Espanyol-supporting journo, not Cesc’s pops. If the man says so himself, then I will believe there is fire with this smoke. But for now, I do not intend to stare at the trees and ignore the forest. If Cesc is in red and blue when our team runs out on the pitch at Anfield on opening day, then I know I will have read it wrong. But for now, I believe I am reading it correctly.

  74. Erick says:

Ave you will have to sleep on the street not a good sign mate. RA yeah right 🙂 People all indication with Cesc are negative he has not yet refuted the claims as he always does

  75. Red Arse says:

Hi Avenell, Rico is back because the dogs are sensible and don’t like all that sand and water up the jaxi.

    Sorry about your house. 🙂

  76. rico says:

Ave, they kept eating the stones in the garden, if they swallow them its big troubles… oh, and the garden was full of them 😦 😦

The coast was beautiful, just very windy and sand everywhere….

Not about tomorrow though so if you have a post up your sleeve for the morning?? 😉

  77. rico says:

RA – that is really funny, saves bathing them 🙂 🙂

  78. agirlagunner says:

Hello, Oliver. For all that YKW says he has removed himself from the ‘to Barca’ brouhaha; he can’t be so divorced from it that he doesn’t know what’s being said. There are as many versions of an i/v as there are readers/ listeners. His statements could be interpreted as harmless or they could be taken as to offend. He may not have made the statement in bad faith, but they were injudicious, at best.

And RA, it’s fine. I do NOT make a good cup of tea. 🙂

  79. Red Arse says:

Long read Cut and Paste, but I kind of agree with you. Cesc isn’t the only one becoming despondent about “jam tomorrow”. We’ve been hearing that for too long now.

Just a stock comment to keep us quiet and hopeful, followed by despair.

  80. rico says:

I do agag, the best cuppa in Berkshire 🙂

  81. Suhail.TV says:

rico … :p .. during your 50 years , you devoloped a strong bound with water, sands.. and arsenal.. Is’t it?

  82. rico says:

STV, you have lost me 😦

    50 years????? 47, please 😉

  83. Suhail.TV says:

    bond

  84. rico says:

Thats it STV, Water, Sand, Arsenal and animals 🙂

  85. Suhail.TV says:

jeat.. a little exaggeration rico, any way.., bays are calling

  86. agirlagunner says:

Good for you and yours rico. I’m a washout at hardcore kitchening. I made dessert for dinner yesterday; friends came over to watch the Catalans v. the Swiss — disaster. Good thing they brought tubs and tubs and tubs of ice cream. 🙂

Age is but a number, STV. Or so says aged me.

  87. Suhail.TV says:

jest.. rico.. 😛 .. but am not completely wrong though.. yeah and animals and a BLOG.. 🙂

  88. Red Arse says:

Rico, Agag, re the tea …… point proved. Q.E.D.

    Contrast and Compare the paraphrased quotes;

    A) “Spain fully prepare the team before the game and Arsenal don’t”.

    B) Lucy is v.sexy and Lulu isn’t.

    What’s the problem with understanding/interpreting that? 🙂

I suppose Arsene and Lulu might be upset.

  89. agirlagunner says:

I’d like to be Lucy is all.

  90. Caknucklehead says:

    done with this site

  91. rico says:

    agag 😆 😆

  92. Red Arse says:

Agag, you saying Rico is Lulu? You might be in deep dudu, but i suppose we could pass it off by playing the “what was said/ what was meant” card. 😉

  93. Suhail.TV says:

Am sad to see you doing hard core kitchening Agag.. you are already doing swamping works and extensive Grey goosing.. and look at me just doing nothing so its not impossible..

  94. rico says:

RA, what i am trying to say is, in all the years YKW has been with us he has never had a bad word to say about either club or manager, now though he has….

I think he’s gone, in his head at least…

  95. Red Arse says:

    Copy that, Rico.

That’s my Jack Bauer disguise that Agag forced me into. 🙂

  96. rico says:

STV, you are right about blogs – we set this all up for the folk on here – i am addicted…. Its not always about the quality of the post, its just a kick start for the day of chit chat …

And its you guys and gals who keep it going…. without you all, I wouldn’t bother….

  97. rico says:

RA, If i’m Lulu, Arsene certainly is the one who makes me ‘Shout’ – swear, get angry, frustrated…. 😉

  98. rico says:

Cak, so why have you left a comment then?????

    We”ll miss you….

  99. Suhail.TV says:

am hoping now Wenger’s selling s to be like Wenger’s buys.. Just hoping..

  100. Red Arse says:

Lulu I only remember you singing about jumping your broomstick, or was that Mary Poppins.

Got to stop thinking about that now, W would not approve! 😉

  101. charybdis1966 says:

Incidentally, who the hell is “YKW” ?

  102. Suhail.TV says:

No its not like that Rico.. Its you who keeps it going.. great work..

  103. agirlagunner says:

Oh but see, RA, just because I’d like to be Lucy doesn’t mean I am. I could very well be Lulu.

Any disguise is better than that which you earlier sported! 🙂

🙂 STV. The gaggle of grey geese is staying put in the grocer’s shelf. 😦

  104. agirlagunner says:

chary, clue: YKW’s the poster child of the youth project; and he has very suspect DNA>

  105. rico says:

    That was Poppins RA 😉

STV, join the club, the french guy has been pleading with his club, Lorient to let him join us….

  106. Suhail.TV says:

But Lulus can be very effective Agag.. even without GG.. or just look at spain..

  107. Simon says:

So what you are saying is that this is all new to you,and with regards to that other Moron who is supposed to be “Seething”your both jokers.
Uefa cup final against Gala did he man mark Hagi? No
does he ever consider the opposition no.
    SO WHY SHOOT THE MESSENGER.

  108. rico says:

chary, we vowed not to mention his name until all has been done/not done, but Ave let us down yesterday… He needs to keep up more 😉 😉

  109. rico says:

STV, thats kind of you but its a bit like the chicken v’s the egg…… 🙂 🙂

  110. Red Arse says:

    Chary, they are teasing you.

YKW (you kow who) has puppy dog eyes, (Rico) but whose Spanish/Catalan name must not be mentioned! 🙂

  111. rico says:

    I love this 🙂

  112. charybdis1966 says:

Oh “You Know Who” – so the poster boy of project youth; so how do you say “Denilson” in Catalan?

  113. Red Arse says:

Chary,”you kow who” sounds like a chinese bloke.

I’m sure you understood I meant “you know who”.

  114. agirlagunner says:

Lol, STV. I am eternally grateful to last nights Lulus for bleaching the stains.

  115. rico says:

    And this 🙂

  116. Suhail.TV says:

What about the crazy Raymond’s France today?? can they perform better as well as Diaby..

  117. Red Arse says:

Chary, I think from my great understanding of the lingo it’s “Senhor Dicko Head”

  118. rico says:

    Chary, ‘crapio’ 😉

  119. Suhail.TV says:

Absolutely.. Agag, Cesc need to be washed out from it soon possible. so seeking help of lulu chili.. 🙄

  120. Red Arse says:

Look you lot, keep your hands off my Lulu!

  121. Erick says:

The WC has taught me so many things especially on over hyped players. Allow me to list two Higuan and Di Maria the benfica star

  122. agirlagunner says:

Not Denilson, chary, Denilson is the “Cangrejo”

  123. Red Arse says:

Erick, agree about Di Maria, but after a hat-trick today, I’m not too sure you can say that about Higuain.

Well, you can, but I would not necessarily agree! 🙂

  124. jamal says:

if i were Cesc. id rather watch replays of my self than any other english team. the way it bores me will not du much for moral in preparations or half tim tok. Go Arsene.

  125. agirlagunner says:

Erick, I think you meant “Messi”! Haha.

  126. avenell says:

    tim tok.. 😯

  127. Erick says:

RA he scores tap ins only he was not threatening at all you will come do agree with me sooner or later

  128. Red Arse says:

    Time flies Ave, Tik Tok

  129. Red Arse says:

Oh Erick, you are such a charmer you have convinced me again! Sod Higuain. 🙂 🙂

  130. DJ says:

What you talking about dude? He didn’t say he liked the Spain way more then the Arsenal way he just said that it was different. And for people going on about what Arsenal should be doing, well Spain lost yesterday after watching videos on the Swizz lol.

  131. Suhail.TV says:

May be later.. not sooner ha ha Erick…

  132. Erick says:

Agag ha ha ha he will not score in the Wc players are double teaming him but he still an over rated player I might be slaped for saying that but i did

  133. Gooner says:

It seems that the whole Barca & media thing has succeeded in causing chaos/division in the gooners…causing the fans to hate Cesc…now even the “fans” want Cesc to leave…so much for his commitment to the club…Anyways, R.I.P all

    – United (oops) we stand, divided we fall

  134. Erick says:

RA hope you are not on the cocktails because tomorrow you will deny it happened like the Love you spread all over the blog minus the Ladies 😉 STV seems am on fire it was sooner

  135. rico says:

    Good to see you newbies….

Gooner, i dont want him to leave, i want him to say he doesnt want to leave…

that would put pay to all specualtion…

  136. rico says:

Erick, did you hear from rsd?

  137. Erick says:

Gooner he started it and its written on the wall black and white you got to see it. Ave any other idea 🙂

  138. agirlagunner says:

Oh, but Gooner, we don’t want YKW to go.

Erick, how have your teams fared?

  139. Red Arse says:

Gooner, no one here wants Cesc to leave and certainly no one I know has ever said they hate him.

Quite the opposite, everyone has been scathing about Barca and their dreadfully scurrilous behaviour and we all desperately want him to stay, but the reality is such that he is under a hell of a lot of pressure to leave us from the Barca players/management and his Spanish team mates that sadly something is going to happen.

We are all with you in principle, Gooner.

  140. Erick says:

Rico I sent the message still waiting for the reply.

  141. rico says:

    thanks Erick, hope he’s ok…

  142. oliver says:

Hello agirlagunner, I see your point on Cesc’s comments perhaps being injudicious, but I do not quite agree. If anything, I see it as Cesc being asked about the Spain preparations and his comparing/contrasting them to his other recent experience, i.e. Arsenal. I have looked at the interview a couple of times, and I just cannot see any intent to denigrate Arsenal in any way. Also, I am sure he is completely aware of what is being sent on the blogosphere – there was a report after the initial story of some (alleged) Arsenal “supporters” (and I use that term lightly) posting poison to Cesc’s sisters facebook or myspace account – as disgusting as that is, he has to be aware of that. I am confident he is aware of how emotional this issue is with both Arsenal and Barca supporters. Regardless, I am guessing he just is not ready to make a definitive statment on how he feels – perhaps has mind has changed a couple of times already, or perhaps he does not want to commit either way, as a transfer may or may not take place. The statement he is leaving his future in AW’s hands can be interpreted that way. Of course, those who wish to can interpret it that he told AW told get the best possible deal for all parties, but to more sure the transfer went through this Summer. In my rambling way, I am illustrating that nobody knows for certain what he wants and we can interpret this any way we feel.

  143. Erick says:

Agag don’t mention it awful Nigeria got whoped, SA got spanked, Algeria got slaped while Cameroon shot themselves by not playing Song

  144. Red Arse says:

    Oliver, spot on.

We don’t know all the details of the conversations between Arsene and Cesc. I hope he comes thru all this as an Arsenal player.

I just wish we could have the opportunity to let him know how we feel about him staying and how disgraceful Barca have been.

  145. rico says:

Oliver, i see things quite differently to you, what i see is a man who doesn’t want to leave a club he loves with the fans turning on him. He ‘says’ he has left the decision of his future in the hands of Arsene Wenger…

    Why????

Either he wants to stay or go, he needs to tell the truth, not hide behind a man he respects so much…

  146. Erick says:

Oliver we love this kid when we see him we see our clubs image

  147. avenell says:

Don’t waste your time Jack.. and wash your mouth out with soapy water..

  148. rico says:

Ave, Is that the same as ‘Hit the road Jack’ 🙂 🙂

  149. agirlagunner says:

Oliver, certainly, YKW has not said anything incendiary; but he hasn’t exactly allayed our fears either has he? His pa acts as a on-time spokesperson, and it reeked so badly of tap-up, the noxious fumes are still clawing at the back of my throat.

He is under contract until 2015. If he doesn’t want away, why the need to have his future sorted out? Why the reticence to give a categorical statement?

  150. karl Chiker says:

As much i lov firedbygas, as me jersey says. If he wants 2 leave, let him. Arsenal is bigger than any boy or man, we r an institution that live 4eva.

  151. Red Arse says:

Rico, in your different ways, aren’t you and Oliver agreeing? 🙂

What has been said by Cesc/Arsene is undoubtedly open to interpretation and we all want a definitive statement.

I think you are singing from the same hymn sheet.

  152. agirlagunner says:

    That’s quite a damning assessment, Erick. 🙂

And Cameroon coach had better be Song-ing the right tune in their next game. Too bad about Nigeria, I just saw it.

  153. rico says:

    RA, no 😉 😉

  154. rico says:

agag & Erick – I really don’t get why Camerooooooon left out our best player 😦

  155. oliver says:

rico, that is certainly possible. I choose to think, however, if he was that desperate for a move, he would have been able to openly say that he feels the time is right for a move, that he always wanted to return to Barca and his heart is telling him now is the time, that he will always have fond memories of Arsenal, please respect his decision and blah blah blah. Perhaps he is not the stand-up guy I think he is and perhaps he is being disingenuous…But perhaps not. I think you and I have common ground in that we believe his straight-up preference is a transfer back to Barca. However, life is not so simple – there are many other factors in play, such as what kind of fee would the other club he loves so much be able to get, how close are we to starting to win, is there a 100 per cent ironclad guarantee that Barca will be as successful in the years to come. Taking all of that and other things into consideration, is it not possible that he would be happy to stay as Captain of Arsenal? Is it not possible he sees a team on the verge of great things and wants to be a part of it? Is it not possible he believes in Arsene and his team-mates here? Either scenario is possible, so in the absence of actual knowledge about how he sees this whole picture, I choose not to make myself miserable and allow myself to be goaded into believing that he wants out now! If that is how he really feels, he has not given any public, definitive indication it is so. I, too, would like a definitive statement from Cesc on what he really wants, but I am under no illusions that one is forthcoming. I think he may not be completely sure how he feels about staying or transferring and perhaps he wants to be careful not to say anything that may give one side an advantage if serious negotiations should start. The status quo is that nothing happens and Cesc starts next season as Arsenal Captain – if he says nothing and nothing changes, who is to say that he would see that as a bad thing? Our club is not exactly forthcoming and open when it comes to player and transfer issues, so if anything, we should be used to silence. We will just have to see how this plays out. For my part, until Cesc publicly states he wants a transfer this summer, or is actually transferred without any previous public comments (and I do not think Barca would be able to help themselves if this came to pass), there is nothing that makes me believe that Cesc wants out now. My opinion – no more, no less.

  156. agirlagunner says:

I know, rico!! What a farce. I hope Song starts and ends, or at least gets some minutes in, the next one.

rico, if you lived here, you’ll be taking endless trips to countless coastal areas. Plane fare’s cheap too! Maybe 30 quid round-trip, and that’s with taxes.

  157. Suhail.TV says:

Time to go bye all.. good night.

  158. rico says:

Oliver, fair and good comment – in fact how would you like to write a post for this site ??

But, I just think such a huge decision should be made by him, not left in the hands of Arsene. Just say Barca offer us 70M – Arsene says yes and sells Cesc… 1/2 seasons down the road, he has done nothing but warm the ‘hleb’ bench. If he were to come out and blame Arsenal for selling him at the wrong time, he didn’t want to leave etc etc, it would be awful.

He has had plenty of time to think, it has to be his decison and not Arsene’s, if he can’t say he wants to go, that means deep down he wants to stay….

  159. rico says:

Night night STV, its been a pleasure as always 🙂

  160. rico says:

agag, it it wasnt for family and the two four legged ones, i’d give it great thought, sounds wonderful…. I am so envious 😦

  161. oliver says:

agirlagunner, a possible mis-conception that we are all having is that Cesc definitively knows what he wants to do. I think we can agree that he has had two teams tugging at his emotions for a few years now, and perhaps part of him wants to transfer, and part of him wants to stay. We just do not know for certain. As for wanting his future sorted out, is it outside the realm of possibility that Arsenal have given him some sort of private indication that if certain conditions are met, they would be willing to facilitate a transfer? That is something we would have no way of knowing – if recent history is anything to go on, there is no way anyone at Arsenal will admit to such. I think we would all like him to say something definitive about how he feels, but I am more and more convinced no statement will be forthcoming. We shall see – I have been wrong many more times that I care to admit!

  162. Red Arse says:

Rico, that sounds awfully like you and Oliver are singing …………….. blah, blah 😉

Agag, I don’t know where you are, but it sounds great. Count me in!

All I need is two 😉 for Spain, or one 😦 for Cleethorpes, eh bye gum.

  163. rico says:

RA, shall we just book a flight together, we can talk Arsenal along the way…. 😉

  164. Erick says:

Stv stay away from the Asians beauties gdnt mate. Agag he also left Kameni the goal keeper out the most experienced player

  165. Red Arse says:

    Rico, YES

  166. K-TR7 says:

Evening all.you can’t imagine how happy i was when the swiss won!i don’t want to speak about you know who anymore.anyway i’m glad chile won since they are my dark horses and also doing abit of player and tactics scouting…

  167. rico says:

How spooky, i was just thinking about you KTR7 and you appear 🙂

I loved the Swiss win too, shame about their shot that hit the post 😉 Alonso’s was bad luck too 😆 😉

  168. rico says:

Ok RA, shall i get the tickets or you 😉 😉

  169. oliver says:

rico, thanks very much! In fact, avenell offered me a similar opportunity the other day – I told him that I would be happy to guest when all my arguments blew up in my face and Cesc shot his way out of town (ala Manny Ramirez’ messy departure from the Boston Red Sox)!! When the time comes, I think Cesc will decide – with input to those closest to him – if he wants to continue here or return to Camp Nou. Cesc’s comments may reflect a possible understanding between he and AW that if certain conditions are met, transfer negotiations can commence. Two things do not tally with that: who ever heard of a player leaving negotiations to his manager? And Arsenal have unequivocally stated that Cesc is not for sale. I do not believe that – every player has his price – but I do believe that the club does not WANT to sell Cesc this Summer. I have no doubt they made their statement about the bid rejection for both us, the Arsenal supporters, and Barca. But by doing that, they have painted themselves into a bit of a corner – is my presumed conditions are met, talks begin and a transfer is negotiated this summer, then Arsenal will have a difficult job in convincing Arsenal support that was in the club’s best interests. Cesc’s comments about leaving his future in AW’s hands indicate (to me) that there is another dynamic that we are not aware of. And that is really my whole point – there is so much that we do not know, that we should not assume the worst or swallow the media line that he told AW he wants to be transferred now. Absolutely no proof he ever told AW that. So let’s take a deep breath, step back and see how this plays out. If it turns out that Cesc was dishonest or Arsenal rolls over and sells for a meagre price, there will be plenty of time to villify them. But lets not do that before these things happen.

  170. agirlagunner says:

Oh, Oliver, ignore me. I am over-the-top-ish about YKW. I said one time, with utter conviction, I would have you know, that I wouldn’t forgive him if he walked; and yet I am ever wringing my hands over anything that even remotely references him. 🙂

  171. Red Arse says:

    Hi K-T

Did you see anyone we should buy? I like their style of play but did not see anybody who rattled my carakers.

  172. K-TR7 says:

Evening all.you can’t imagine how happy i was when the swiss won!i don’t want to speak about you know who anymore.anyway i’m glad chile won since they are my dark horses and also doing abit of player and tactics scouting…a few south american babes here and there…

  173. Erick says:

K-tr7 howdy hope Spain go home how can they not play Cf when iniesta is not fit hope CF learnt something

  174. BigL says:

dude your article has left me fuming. How can you quote Cesc when you say Don’t quote me but the interview went something like this….

Cesc was speaking generally not having a dig at Arsenal. For an Arsenal fan you should be a shamed of yourself for printing such crap. I am really disapointed.

On one hand you want to hear what players have to say, but as soon as they open their mouth you take their words out of context and moan about it. I wish Wenger would ban all players from speaking to the press for 6 months to teach bloggers/press a lesson about making up crap.

When has Cesc asked to move? show me one article where he has publicly said I want to leave? Other than the recent interview where he said ‘someday’ I want to go back to Spain there is nothing. Everything has been taken out of context. The press said he spoke to Wenger yet Wenger has said I haven’t spoken to Cesc.

The only people taking about a Cesc move are Barcelona and the Arsenal blogs that are doing their dirty work for them.

  175. agirlagunner says:

Hola, KT! The Chile match made me sleepy. Yikes.

Oh and, rico, we must be really angry with the stains; we haven’t mentioned Villa or Torres at all. 😉

  176. agirlagunner says:

    Bye, STV.

  177. Danish Gooner says:

So Cesc tells it like it is,dont kil the messenger it is beyond ridicilous that a manager wit hmore then twenty yers of experience dont look into flaws at other teams, but now we know why they perform so badly against the big guys.

  178. vote eboue says:

Lets settle this! Cesc must have known that Barca were about to table a bid, so he requested Le Boss’ meeting just to tell him he didnt want to go. Le boss told him not to worry he will handle it. I wouldnt put all this saga past his Mr20% though – School fees, mortgages te al.

  179. Red Arse says:

Rico, that will be two standard returns to Cleethorpes then, as Agag is being coy! 😉

  180. oliver says:

agag, all the more reason not to work ourselves up over this. Consider where we are right now: world cup, Arsenal hold Cesc’s registration, Cesc is Arsenal Captain. Nothing has changed yet. It is going to take more than sensationalist tabloid headlines or Camp Nou press releases intended to influence opinion to make me think a transfer is imminent.

  181. Danish Gooner says:

Keep your pants on BigL,we are not exactly living in a world of fluffy marshmellows.there are no doubt in my mind that Cesc wants to leave,if you watched his body language in the last games before he was injured you could see thagt his mind were elsewhere.Wenger doesnt gkive a shit about winning trophies,so why blame cesc.

  182. agirlagunner says:

… my over-the-top-ish-ness about YKW seems to have been exceeded by BigL. And here I thought, I had it bad.

Philippines, RA. City girl though. With the dead rivers, smogsmogmog, Everests of trash, on the one hand; and great beer and fantastic food on the other.

Beaches are everywhere except where I am. 🙂 But plane fare’s cheap, so that’s a non-ish. Me, I just like spas.

  183. JonJon says:

wengers teams of the past never needed to watch videos of the other team..

wengers never done tactics it was always go out there do your own thing and let the other team worry about us..and it worked fine for years so i dont know why everyones moaning about it..

only difference is this time is that since 2008 we havent had a team good enough to stamp our own authority on a big game… we dont need to change our tactics we just need better players..

and of course cesc has said he wants to leave..hes never denied he wanted to go back home since he’s been with us. we all knew it was a matter of time so i wish ppl would take the blinkers off say cesc is innocent cos he aint…..

hi guys.. 😉 just a quick hello..busy busy..

  184. rico says:

agag, good point, well made – 70M they are ‘quoted’ as being prepared to pay for the dipper, if they have that kind of money, show it for YKW! 😉

    Villa 😦 😦 I am still sad…

  185. Red Arse says:

Oliver, I like your line of thought.

Rico and Agag are the tops, and have my undying affection, but you are, out of the blue, pressing them hard. (Not the affection, obviously). 😉

Well that’s what you do with flowers.

  186. oliver says:

agag, are you in manila? my wife is from bagiuo.

  187. rico says:

BigL, Cesc leaves me fuming!!! Love him as I do, he could have put an end to this rubbish but has chosen not to!!

  188. rico says:

RA, i’m on to it 😉

  189. rico says:

Hi jj, spot on as always 🙂

  190. agirlagunner says:

oliver, I think I agree with the last post. But that might be because I’m already sleepy. Like every other girl, tomorrow, I am bound to change my mind, and feel all aggrieved, etc. by his silence again.

    Hola, JJ and bye, JJ.

Nite, RA. Good to have you back, rico.

  191. oliver says:

Thanks RA, appreicate the confidence. If Cesc is transferred this summer, my arguments will look a little bit silly in hindsight and more than a bit naive, but I am willing to take that chance.

  192. rico says:

    Good on you DG….

  193. rico says:

Oliver, did you see my earlier about writing for Avenell Road??

  194. rico says:

Night night agag and thanks 🙂

  195. oliver says:

Rico, I did thanks very much! I responded that Avenell had extended a similar offer a couple of days ago and that I would consider guesting when Cesc was transferred to Camp Nou in August for a pittance – i.e. when all my arguments literally blew up in my face. Seriously, I appreciate the offer and perhaps I can. Not at this moment, but I appreciate that both of you feel that I can make a contribution.

  196. avenell says:

Law… your a very naughty boy.. talk nicely to us gooners save all that for the Spuds and the Chavs..

  197. Red Arse says:

Hi JonJon, a little dose of reality. Well said! 🙂

Agag, Phillipines eh? You must be 8 hours ahead of UK time, me, I’m in Alaska and about 8 hours behind UK time so that means we are buggering up the International date line.

    Confused? Me too! 😉

  198. JonJon says:

if cesc didnt want to leave he would have said i’ll be at arsenal next year…instead of saying im concentrating on the wc and im leaving it up to wenger…

cesc has denied every single transfer rumour for the past 2-3 years..apart from this one..

speaks volumes..hes not said hes leaving..but he aint said hes staying either..

if he was staying he would have said im staying..shut up and let me concentrate on spain..but he doesnt want to say that coz it aint true..

he wants his future sorting remember???? why??? whats to sort when you have a 5 year deal….

  199. oliver says:

RA, i am in washington dc, four hours ahead of you and twelve hours behind agag in manila, or cebu, or zamboanga. judging from her comment, about smog and trash heaps, i would guess manila. not one of my favorite places – the mountains in northern luzon are much nicer. and obviously no disrespct intended if agag is indeed in manila.

  200. rico says:

Ok Oliver, no worries, i didn’t see aves invite, sorry
    😦

When Cesc is sold, we want to hear from you 😉

  201. Red Arse says:

Rico, Agag, Oliver, JonJon et al, got to go. Bloody polar bears (wear white, like the spuds) are causing me problems!

    See you tomorrow. 😉

  202. rico says:

RA, I thought you were UK based…. Shows what i know, eh 😉

  203. rico says:

    Night RA, tomorrow 🙂

  204. agirlagunner says:

RA, yes! Manila, my dear disaster of a city. I looove Baguio. Everyone complains about its horrid city planning, but anytime someone says “let’s”, I say “go”. Been a year since I was there last, I should go again. Oh, I don’t sleep much. Terrible for work though. Haha.

rico, Torres was the brightest thing in that ill-assembled Spanish team, btw. Villa was a close second.

oliver, just make a random comment, about anything Arsenal, make it long, and rico will just cut and paste, and we’ll have ourselves another good discussion, how about that? You seem very effortless with it anyway! 🙂

    Hello, avenell, and bye.

Really good points, JJ! Now, I’m getting worked up about the stains again…

  205. JonJon says:

    bye RA/AGAG

  206. avenell says:

    Manyana AGAG..

  207. rico says:

jj, exactly, why didn’t he just say – i’m staying at arsenal no matter what….. he has poured petrol all over this simmering rumour….

  208. rico says:

Looks like an early night for all, off for dinner…

  209. JonJon says:

he wants to go rico..we dont want to sell…unless we get 50+mil for him..

wenger wont keep an unhappy player but he wont do a deal that will mean the club gets financially dry bummed either…

we all know arsenal have become fixatated with the pennies over the years..wenger wont sell for 30mil and if he does then cesc would have played more of a part in this transfer than hes letting on..

  210. JonJon says:

    seeya at the weekend guys..

  211. rico says:

    i think you’re right jj….

be good – see you soon jj 😉

  212. irish gooner says:

let him leave if he wants, fuck him,let him go to barca and do a hleb, all his 100% commited bullshit last year,he has betrayed us when we need him most,he doesnt deserve to play for us with his silence and all thats gone on since the season ended,we should get around 40mill for him though,so im praying aw already knows who he wants to replace him, lets hope it aint gourcuff,we need a real creative player not a flash shemale thing

Agag, I will be glad to talk Baguio, Noynoy or whatever else pinoy-related as well. We own a house in the barangay just below club john hay, but have not visited since 2004. Baguio area was nicer 10-15 years ago, but so many subdivisions have sprung up it has gotten too crowded. Jeepney ride to Session road took twice as long last time we were there.

Hi IG – i can’t be so harsh, but i see what you are saying, i just wish he would speak abou his current club…

don’t want gourcoff either, VDV for me….

  215. oliver says:

Hahahaha! Now we have that clown from republikofmancunia – the expert on all things arsenal – weighing in about our pre-match preparation. Do you think he would even be aware of interview Cesc did, if it wasn’t for that nonsensical, inflammatory article from yesterday? An article that was picked up by other rags, and seems to have support among many gooners?

  216. rico says:

    oliver, who is that??

  217. oliver says:

That republikofmancunia guy, don’t know his actual name. He always has an opinion on things happening at other clubs, always has something to say about our manager. The article popped up on newsnow about 15 mins ago. Pure dosh, of course, but unsurprisingly, he is taking the media frenzy over Cesc’s comments as an opportunity to pile on and have a go at AW.

Jeez, listen to us all, rumour, supposition, interpretation and guesswork, the four donkey riders of the summer apocalypse ride among us… Yes, he may well like to go home, he may not relish being a squad player, he may realise that unless the Catalans come up with a stupendous offer he is at the Emirates next season. We don’t know. All we know is he is keeping his counsel and us therefore unlikely to force the issue, hence no bridges are burnt, he is no Hleb, Cole, Adebayor. The main issue I see is how Cesc is viewed by the 2 clubs. At the Arsenal, he is the Captain, THE Man. At the Catalans a useful political pawn who is no more than a squad player, hence the gap in valuations. Even this is just my OPINION, same as every other comment on this blog. For myself I don’t care, if he goes, he goes, if he stays, I’ll still be singing his name next Season. Let’s all stop trying to second guess what we truthfully know fuck all about and look forwards to battering the scousers at Anfield and showing Blackpool what the Premiership is about… COME. ON. YOU. REDS!

  219. rico says:

oliver, thats sad, i feel for arsene in all this, if he sells he gets slated, if he keeps cesc, cesc will be unhappy (if he truly wants to leave)

and some thought this post/site was bad 😉

I’m off for the day, catch up soon all…

    stay safe, nighty night….

  221. Fed up Gooner says:

This article is rubbish fed up with so called gooners slagging off our captain every time he opens his mouth the press twist his words and you lap it up like mindless morons sometimes I think you want him to leave!
I personally think he is stuck in the middle and if he says “I’m staying” and we sell him he will look like a mug and if he says “I want to leave” and barcelona don’t come up with the reddies he will still look like a mug.He has said he will leave his future up to Arsene and arsenal and they have said they are not selling, until I here different that is what I will Believe.

  222. goonergerry says:

I agree-its very likely that Cesc or his agent has put this request in writing-we just haven’t been told. But is there a way back when you are the captain and on field leader of the team wants to leave? He cant stay as captain.
No one knows whats been said between him and Wenger-but his father doesnt come out and say let the boy go to Barca if its all speculation.
After the world cup and hopefully the arrogant ones are dumped out-we can then see how much he wants to go-my guess is its a lot. Will he get any more playing time for Barcelona than he does for Spain? Answer-no. He will be making a mistake.

  223. blaze gooner says:

    you know what?
There are too many people who love fabregas sooo much, they wont agree with you. It’s not my case though.

Whether we like it or not, he has asked to leave/ wanted to leave, definitely. he’s too good at PR work and just didnt say it openly — doesnt mean it didnt happen, my friends!

take past years as example, when Barca shit comes out, he denies it all. now? he said “im in no hurry to leave”. Things change.

  224. Stryfe says:

    What a load of tosh!!!,
C’mon every Arsenal fan already knows this already and what the media is calling a damning indictment I think has been taken purely out of context….
I remember the good old days, the days of the invincibles and this type of statement was made regularly by the likes of Henry, Vieira & Pires.
The amount of times I heard them say that in the build up to the games that Monsieur Wenger prefers his teams to concentrate solely on their own performances and ensuring that we are focused as a team instead of watching endless footage of players that may not even play in the match, which makes sense.
The problem here is these players aren’t of the same calibre (Sorry I love him but yes FABREGAS included!!) of say the our double winning teams and pale in comparison to the invincibles!
Our current crop of players probably do need to be Moddy Coddled (English slang) this is where FAB4 is right as they are younger and aren’t anywhere as good, so probably need to be told things like “look there’s Crouch hes nearly 12ft tall..he’ll try and win the ball in the air….STOP HIM!!” but this has been Wengers way from day one and anyone jumping on this buring media bandwagon has less sense than a manc wiv an sheiks cheque book!
    BTW
3pts at Anfield on the opening day please Sir Arsene 🙂
