With another season in transition out of the way, the silly season is about to begin. With Arsenal’s traditional end of season stumbling and overall lack of quality signings in recent years, we once again find ourselves being linked to every player the media decides they feel fit.
A perfect example is the fact we are being linked to every keeper the world has ever produced. Due to our Goalkeeping crisis it is only natural that names such as Buffon are thrown into the mix. Although I would love Buffon between the Arsenal stick’s, I find it hard to believe that we would part with the large sum of money required to capture his expert services. Sir Wenger has never spent big on a keeper so I think it’s highly unlikely he will start now. We definitely need a signing in this area though, you know the omens are bad when we are linked to keepers like Rob Green and Paul Robinson..To be honest I’d rather keep Almunia than waste pennies on either of those two..
Any I’m moving off topic a little..
One player we have been linked to and what is possibly Arsenal’s worst kept secret since Samir Nasri, is the certain arrival of Bordeaux’s Marouane Chamakh. I personally think we are lacking a lethal finisher up front, but I believe Chamakh will be a fantastic signing.
I’ve been studying him a lot recently and although his finishing needs improvement he will provide us with an extra dimension up top. His all round play is rather impressive and his link up play is top notch. He fits the Arsenal style completely and above all else, he’s free!!!
Which brings me onto my next point.. Yoann Gourcuff.. He’s another quality player and like Chamakh, he’s been pivotal in the clubs progression this year in the Champions League.. Gourcuff is a playmaker type player and from what I’ve seen, he and Chamakh have a telepathic style of playing together (a lot like what Bobby P and Thierry did). They play like they are best friends on the pitch as well as off it and it has worked well for Bordeaux.
I’m sure that there is many clubs interested in Goucuff this summer and it has been proved in recent seasons when Cesc is absent the Arsenal midfield are rather toothless and out of ideas. We could use another player for him to play with and take the reigns when he picks up an injury.
With the club now being in an apparent situation to spend a bit of money this summer, is Gourcuff on Sir Arsene’s radar?? By signing his buddy Chamakh we have certainly put ourselves in a good position and for the price of one, we could end up with two of Frances best combination players.
Is Wenger set to pounce?? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see..
just what we need more in attack
i knew that was coming.. lol
but lets face it without cesc and robin are we actually that good in attack???
rosicky, nasri, theo, diaby, none of them are cutting it are they??
we look crap without cesc
Yoan not a bad signing Diaby can warm the bench for sure may be that will get him fired up
if Gourcuff was signed it would be brilliant but somehow he’d get frustrated competing with Cesc for a place. However having seen him play he could become an eventual replacement…
Morning all.gourcuff won’t come unless he is assured of starting and so long as cesc is here he won’t come…xavi is saying cesc has barca DNA…AGAIN!i love watching barca play but they are seriously pissing me off!
Nasir reckons 5 Arsenal players don’t get along with Gallas what you make of it JJ?
id send diaby out on loan for a year to a team who are defensively disciplined…
hes not going to learn that at arsenal..
bring him back after a year and see if hes learned anything…if he has then we have one hell of a player..if not we let him go
i dont think he’d compete with cesc..we play him with cesc and song..
K-TR7 Rubbish Xavi is suspended for the final game seems he has alot of time in his hands. Yoan can play along side Cesc is there any chemistry between them and can he be the box to box play we need?
erick
i wrote something similar on the last post but if the 5 players are nasri, almunia theo denilson and diaby id rather keep gallas..
and lets face it gallas has out performed nasri the last two years..
ive just seen the cesc interview on sky..
he said basically what he said all along…
it would be a dream to play for barca one day and IF he leaves Arsenal it would be for barca..
its a world cup year..the spanish press have regular access to cesc everyday..we are going to hear this shit all summer
again..
but i wont be suprised if he goes this year
another thing ive noticed about chamkaka is that he defends from the front..
Gourcuff is a no.10;he can’t play next to song,id rather diaby play there!barca is obsessed with cesc you would think he was born in their academy.he was there for only three years while he has been with us for 7 years!they think realmadrid are cocky but i think they should look closer to home…
Morning all………..
I actually care if Gallas leaves I think the fella is class but he’s obviously looking for a big payday and his wages are a joke so bye……….. As i said yesterday a couple of big hard 22 yr olds would do me fine…!
Cesc going nowhere…………… UNLESS he is unhappy with what AW says regarding new players..! We’ll see..!
heres something else thats interesting..
birmingham are after ben foster..which means hart wont be at brum next year and he’ll be sat on the bench if he stays at citeh..
i think the hart rumour is more realistic than the buffon one..
ktr
diaby is a number 10 too..but gourcuffs better
My only concern JJ is injuries to Gallas not performance wise he is an exceptional player but as Wath said he said he seems a goner
hey wath..
if we lost the shite in the squad we could give their wages to gallas..
like i said rather have 11 top players on 80k than 22 shit ones on 40
i think cesc is trying to nudge wenger into action..i dont think he wants to go..but i do think he wants to play with better players and win something..
like i said yesterday erick gallas injuries are muscle pulls and stains due to burnout..he always breaks down towards the end of each season cos we over play him..
the exact same thing happened to TV and it will happen next year too…
our players aint crocks..not all of them anyway..
wenger just overplays them cos he doesnt have the squad to rotate…
the fact we get crushed in the cups prove it..we need better players so we can rotate..
cesc and rvp would also last longer if we did this
Oi oi oi Sailor
JJ Yoan and Chamaka I have not seen enough to pass judgement but anybody who can play better than Diaby and can defend that I like
U have a point JJ BUT the you know that wont happen and no way will he sell D or D cos that admits to him being wrong. I can’t see Gallas staying but I can see him buying 2 new CD’s that may be it mind you…! Again wait n see time eh……!
@jj I think chamack’s arrival will improve our defense:he can hold the ball relieving mf from pressure unlike AA who would lose the ball,he works very hard and he is very good at defending setpieces.in the 4-3-3 we play its actually difficult to obtain balance:if you have song and maybe a ‘flamini’ holding against park the bus opponents we will look too conservative ending up with goalless draws like lpool but if we play a more attacking player ie diaby next to song our mf seems defensively weak so it isn’t as easy as many fans think.as the brazilians say:on a cold night with a small blanket if you cover your feet the neck will freeze and viceversa…this formation is PERFECT with the right balance.
Gourcuff won’t put his foot into a tackle though and do we rally need yet another like that..?
Diaby on loan for a season JJ hmmmmm where to Stockport..?
someone seems to forgetting a certain injury to the citeh no.1. Why wud dey sell him wen they need him most???? and he’d probably see this as a great opportunity to prove himself. Bad timing…
JJ but John Terry , Ivanovic, Rio and Vidic play most games unless they are injured even the CC and FA while our first choice are not in the CC may be the FA hope I make sense English is tough
get Gourcuff, kick arshavin… hates that russian mouth for sure…
good point eion but why would he stay when he knows he’ll be back on the bench wen givens back and he could also be playing cl football
buy gourcuff and let him partner cesc and song. he also a good all round player. let diaby be song back up. he’ll do a good job, just like game againts fulham. if cesc and van persie injured again, we’ll have gourcuff and chamakh. if they all fit and play, wouldn’t that be terrific? dont pass on this wenger.
ktr yeah chamakh has inpressive workrate..he reminds me abit like adetwatface and although i hate him a fully commited ade was a handful..
defend from the front..make it easier to defend as a whole
I don’t get the fuss around hart;he is a fantastic talent no doubt but do we need another youngster considering sczeczny is coming through?would you trust him to play in the pressure cooker environment of a top club?id rather a seasoned international for abit of insuarance.
wath we should send him to fat sam for a year..or stevie bruce
erick we play a different style to chelsea and manutd
their cb’s get protection from midfield..ours dont..
our cb’s are left covering three positions and lewin has already said our players run more than anyone else in the league..
this new gps system will help but we need rotation more than other teams because of it..
didn’t know a dislocated shoulder took a whole summer to heal is he having an op.
Gourcuff could play in the same side as cesc. It would be worth trying them both in midfield with song, or he could play further forward as nasri does.
It would be worth it to secure this player now if it were at all possible because hes the only one who we could sign who Id be confident could replace fabregas in the middle were he to leave (which hes likely to do in the next few years)
Otherwise gourcuff will probably go to another big club and it will be impossible for us to get him.
ppl said the same about seaman ktr look how he turned out..
harts got alot to learn but ive seen him play a few times at eastlands and ive sat behind the sticks..the lads got presence and shouts at his players..
then we changed halfs and you could here a pin drop in mannys area..
we lost three nil..
buffon would be my first choice but i reckon harts a future england no 1 and he’d be cheaper than buffon and better than what we have..
the thing with chesny is that our gk situation has got that bad tht everyones looking to him to be our saviour…sure the lads got talent but so did fabianski..weve seen hart play last 4 years and he can handle it..we dont know if chesny will
K-TR7 thats why I think Buffon is ideal but the money involved Aw must be saying that is his last option if he is even thinking about a keeper
Davi is that a risk Aw is willing to take bring in Yoan means Diaby, Denilson or Yoan himself will warm the bench
@jj thats the point,we don’t want someone who is learning!we need experienced players not prospects.i have not said szeczeny is our saviour but whats the need for us having two fantastic prospects separated by a few years in the same team?aw has faith in szeczeny and it would be better if he learnt from a buffon…
Since Yohan Goucuff would cost a bit of cash, Arsene Wenger (AW) and Arsenal’s Board will NOT sign him. Arsenal had a fine chance for the EPL but stingy AW and Co opted to wait and have Chamakh for free instead of paying 8M in January!! Gunners’ fans must realise that AW and his Board are more in rapacious pursuit of cash than silverware! If any new player comes joins Arsenal (at a fee), expect an unknown from Cameroon or Ivory Coast arriving at an ‘undisclosed’ fee!! Just asking? What is the trophy cabinet at the Emirates stadium used for??!!
Szczesny will be able to handle the pressure. He should have started the season as our no2 really. Hes the only one of our keepers who doesnt show any weakness mentally. You see it in all the others. They are talented, but at times they have that “deer caught in the headlights” look. Szczesny doesnt seem to have that. He needs testing and probably some time to get used to playing at the top level, because there will be more pressure, but Im confident he can handle it now, and even if not, he will do in the relatively near future.
The trouble with goalkeepers is that they always come with inflated prices, so I really dont see us signing a new one to be honest. I think fabianski ro almunia will start as no1, but honestly, szczesny might end up with that spot by the end of next year.
agreed ktr7
buffon is everyones first choice…hes got at least 4 years left in him and chesney will learn what he needs to in that time…
fabianski has talent but hes learning from manny..wat else did we expect..
i just think the price is a stumbling block although ive heard a rumor juve still owe us money on the vieira deal so you never know
Jj what a way to pay a debt
I have been reading the Cesc interview and I can’t understand what the Captain wants seems their is smoke
Davi I have to agree with you I doubt if Aw is thinking about a keeper
Gourcuff didnt do to well at Milan so going on about a big club grabbing him is maybe little premature…! Can he hack it at the big end..?
How about James on a freebie til Chezny is a few yrs older…? Free as well just like AW likes..?
do you understand spanish erick??
we need to know what he actually said and not the translated media one..
i seen the spanish interveiw this morning on telly and it was translated into english and he said nothing about wanting his future sorted..
just the same old stuff which we all know already..
dont know if it was the whole interview..im dying for someone to tell me they speak spanish…
i’ll send them on a mission..
Proff. Arsene, use diaby in part exchange for gourcuff, and allow gallas to leave inoder to buy simon kjaer and philipe mexes
lol wath
that would be one way of signing a buffon..
thats one hell of a ‘fro
@jj our keepers are excellent shotstoppers and good reflexes but they don’t command their areas enough.lehmann would rather have received a card than allow blackburn bully him the way fabianski was.i saw a stat that our goalies have to face only 3 realistic attempts a game but at least one goes in.when we dominate a match our gks lose concentration and thats why we concede from counters and long range strikes.if you look at szceczeny’s eyes you see he has it in him, cesar, cech, buffon…that is not taught but completely natural.if we get a new gk and keep big al as no.2 and let mannone and fabianski have loans to learn the basics first…
who is this simon kjaer bloke??
ive heard his name mentioned but i dont know anything about him..
is it one of those situations where we are that desperate we want anyone?? cos if thats the case we might as well get bramble..
or is this kid kjaer actually shit hot??
bob wilson has said what all the fans have said ktr
they have no presence..reflexes yes but overall they are weak keepers cos they cant control their area or their defence like quality keepers do..
it makes them targets for the opposition and they aint clever enough to deal with it..
times up..get someone else who takes no shit and runs through brick walls to clear his area..
jens was technically no better than manny..but he was nuts and took no shit..
JJ, Wath reckons he knows Spanish
give him the task. I don’t even know a spanish word
‘ola chicas
Nobody would be suprised if we went for David James
Aw is written all over it
Rsd you were in Barcelona Crack the Cesc interview for us
where the transcript then?
i can send it down to fam how live on the
costa del crime
Just 4u Erick…….. “por favor dos san miguel..!” Fluent me….!
un sac a puntas..
Seems am the odd one in here
Wath hope that doesn’t mean GG RSD you go the secret agent you can ask him if he is not gambling JJ and I though english was hard
anyone got the cesc transcripy for rsd??
erick??
Only seen it in English JJ no spanish transcript
@jj simon kjaer is a 21 year old danish centre back plying his trade in palermo.he has had a good season i must add…on our defense:our gks have not covered themselves in glory but also our pressing game.our pressing game is there but it isn’t effecient enough;our players crowd out a player but if he can get through the first wave of pressure there are massive gaps in mf where we get caught cold.barca players not only deny the attacker space but also limit the passing options to the nearest teammates and hence they win the ball back so quickly.as sacchi,a footy philosopher, set up milan in such a way that when defending there was only 25 metres between the attack and defence making it a compact very difficult to break down.he also played his back 5 against 10 forwards for 15 minutes and they would keep cleansheets.this helped to make his defense stronger as a unit and we can only hope aw will try to improve on this aspect.@jj he is also a huge fan of 4-4-2…
apparently erick according to other europeans, english is the easiest language to learn..its pretty basic..
but they probably speak it better than me and im english
by the way i think what i said in spanish is translated into something like ‘a pencil sharpener’
very helpful when i go to spain..
Yoan would be a great addition to the club! Wenger sign sign sign! I’d like to see him play along side Cesc. But if Fabregas DOES leave and Wenger is thinking Gourcuff is the man for the job I’m not sure if he’s up for it. Theres no doubt that the lad is extremely talented but this is the premier league way more physical then the french league. The good thing tho would be that he partners up well with Chamakh so that would be a plus for us. A player I would definitely like to see if Cesc was to leave is Diego! I watch him play and I’m always very impressed and I just think in my head why he’s at JUVENTUS. Anyway it’s far too early to predict who wenger will buy and who will go even tho gallas and silvestre do seem to be on their way out the door. As for keepers just get rid of almunia and fabianski get at least a decent keeper like Hart or Green I myself would like a seasoned keeper also because if we get Hart what will that mean for chesny? to good young keepers is a waste of talent so if we really did have the chance to get buffon I’d like to see him as our #1.
Erick…. Dozen beers please
JJ this Kjaer sounds like a very good player…! Another one for the list and the right age not 2 young..!.
true about the pressing game ktr
we need to earn the right to play wenger ball first..we need to win the ball before we think about silky passing..
guardiola says the further up the pitch you win the ball the less distance you have to cover to get to the goal..which is why it works for barca cos they press teams for fun..then rip them to bits..
ive been reading about him wath and he won the danish talent award or something like that..
gotta be more than decent i suppose..big lad too..
lets face the talent award aint no CL medal..but it better than the ‘financial security trophy’ or the ‘weve got the best stats cup’
jay i like diego i think hes a good player
but i wouldnt touch rob green with a barge pole..we are desperate but not that desperate..
Apparently the Manc are up for Di maria after missing out on Villa that could be poor coz the have Nani and Valencia. K-TR7 a little information about Benficas Di maria
And as for the Interview I saw it myself. I just got a big scared when they asked Cesc if it was true that he had signed a 4 year deal with Barcelona he just smiled big. (witch worried me). They didn’t let him answer cause they asked him another question right away they said if he were to leave Arsenal would it only be to Barcelona? and he said yes definitely. I saw a longer version of the interview. theres a short one that was edited to make it seem like Cesc said he wanted to leave the club. Al tho at the end he does say he’d love to player for Barcelona some time because he see’s his mates playing (messi, pique xavi and others) and he see’s their success at the club and it’s something that makes you wonder. And he finishes saying some time in the future I’d love to play for barcelona and if they want me or not that is up to them but I would love to play for them…………..so I just hope Cesc doesn’t mean next season! I’d love to have him for at least a year or 2 more if we could keep him for 5 or 6 years I’d love that but it’s a fact fabregas has to leave sometime.
Jay I also was told Green is the English version of Almunia. Diego I was thinking to myself the best replacement for El Captain meaning Cesc am trying my hand on Spanish
hes supposed to be the mutts nutts erick..been tearing the portugeezer league to shreds
JJ, That Kjaer is playing in Italy so surely learning from them dirty fuckers should be good…!?!?!?!
We were loking at De maria a few yrs back but would not of got a work permit for him…!
Jay am also worried
thanks so can i have spanish lessons from you
All the Barca talk has made me start to hate Barca hope the fail to win la liga rubbish crap
Wath Especially now that we need a natural winger. Jj the price is crazy 45mill not in this world or the next
haha that could be true well I think green is slightly better then almunia he makes some good saves some times. But wow…..almunia plays like he’s playing with a blindfold. Al tho I do have to give him credit in the first match against barcelona the first 15 mins all credit to almunia we would of been 4-0 down if it weren’t for him and we would of been knocked out from the start cause theres no way we would of scored 5 at the nou camp.
And as for Diego he is definitely the best replacement for Cesc. Some players flop when they go to other leagues Diego at Werder Bremen was fantastic and at Juventus also fantastic. He’s 24 still a young player so thats another good thing
manutd have no money so i cant see that..
they will spend but it wont be what they are used to
Jay Diego is a natural player confident on the ball and got lots of heart just like El- Captain. Buffon wins hands down but Aw can’t accept the price David James seems to be warming up today for Arsenal
i think greens rubbish..
almunia was good v barca but those shots were straight at him and u expect a top keeper to make those saves
2nd half he was back to his normal self
Yeah you have certain respect for other clubs but when they just come and try taking your best players it makes you hate them more and more. Imagine how Henry would of been if he would of finished his football career as a Gunner? he probably would of knocked some sense into Theo and maybe Theo would have a secured world cup spot he’d also be one of the best wingers in the premier league but as of now it’s all been going down hill for him. And I’d love to teach you some spanish Erick haha.
They still got the 80 from Cristiano its probably used up in servicing their loan. Speaking about the Mancs who can believe they bough Berbatov for 30mil what a flop
@erick dimaria plays on the left of benfica’s 4-1-3-2/4-4-2 diamond as an inverted winger who loves to cut in and have a pop from distance.he is very good at dribbling and tracks back alot.he basically plays the AA role for them…kjaer is quite a prospect guess we’ll know more about him at the worldcup.@jj i think we will have a better second season with 4-3-3 and maybe aw will tinker it abit to suit our lot.when in full flow our fullbacks should attack one at a time leaving us with a 3 man defence and song can drop back to form a temporary back four which would not leave us as exposed.although formations are what the press interpret with diagrams when a game is about to start i really do think a team’s structure ultimately depends on the movement of the 10 players on and off the ball since our footy is much more fluid to be plotted on a diagram hence why capello said the modern formation is 9-1…
Talking of Theo, Double D boys Denilson and Diaby have one more season the goalkeeper should pack their bags and Nasir, Rosicky, sagna Eboue and Clichy should pull up their socks Silvester I wont talk about him but Dudu we owe him another season Eboue is on his way up I feel
Afternoon peoples
Nice one JJ, I’m all for more players with experience and oik the sub standards out…
we play a 1-0-9
Afternoon Rico
K-tr7 Di Maria seems the real deal but we wont be signing him thats for sure
afternoon ricolicious..
JJ atleast Song tries to restrain himself 1-1-8 may be
How I would love Cesc to respond to transfer speculation the way Messi does
no one tries to buy messi cos hes got a 250mil release clause and he already in best team in world..
aslong as we continue to win naff all teams will always go after our players..
erick song is the 1
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha JJ you cracking my ribs thought it was the two Clowns
@rico afternoon.i’m telling you there are some interesting formations:4-3-3-0/4-6-0,4-2-4,3-6-1,3-3-1-3…which are in use right now and thats why am eagerly awaiting the wc to see the evolution of footy tactics which has been caused by improved fitness of players and use of statistics(castrol index) in gauging player perfomance.a case in point is how goal poachers like eddy need to adapt into false nines and not only to score but create goals too or they risk being phased off.eto’o has adapted well since he can play as a winger while players like van nistelrooy have not adapted(larmack’s theory) and are a dying breed.rico you should savour the moment and be entertained by the likes of torres, villa since in the near future im afraid there won’t be many like them…
Lets be honest, we lack alot of creativity. Rosicky, Walcott, Bendtner, Diaby, Denilson, Eboue etc can’t create much and this season its been just pass, pass, pass, pass, lose the ball. Gourcuff would be an amazing signing, probably repace AA23 either this summer or next. Eden Hazard to replace Rosicky, Hazard will be one of the worlds best. Balotelli and Lukaku we should also get within the next 2 summers. Fabregas is class, we all know that but you cant really blame him for wanting to go. Home is home and for what barca are doing he on a personal note should go and be a part of that and as much as I’d be gutted I wouldnt hold it against him. We could use that money for Gourcuff and Hazard and possibly Marek Hamsik from Napoli to replace him.
K-tr7 you got the 3rd year honestly i thought i knew footie but am crap as the Double D boys
Year = eye sorry
I feel sorry for Cesc, same old crap being used in the news. We all know he will go but every transfer window this happens…
As someone said yesterday, I’m sure he wants to be reassured that the double d boys will be nowhere near him at the start of each game…
If Wenger finally shows ambition, Cesc will stay a while, if Wenger carries on buying crap, if i were Cesc, I too would go!!
cesc will only stay if we win something and do it regularly..
g4l
i dont want balloteli his attitude stinks…
i think cesc will stay if AW buys some quality players this summer. AW looks serious about buying quality experienced players this time. we might be in for some surprises.
JJ, we could win the PL, CL and FA Cup next season, but i think if Wenger doesn’t renew his contract, Cesc will leave regardless….
good point rico..
but what if wengers replacement is guardiola??
Rico what a season it will be winning 3 trophies
Crapotelli nah
as anyone seen this lad play..just what we need..pace strength vision passing
Ah, then he might stay JJ
Erick, I would be happy next season with the FA Cup, CC and coming runners up in the league if i’m honest..
He looks good JJ, wheres Grimandi when you need him to go scouting
Mark Hughes has been spotted at West Ham……
i would settle for either the fa cup or cc and coming in the top 4..
its not enough for a massive club like arsenal who are regarded as one of europes top 8 clubs to just finish in the top 4 year after year..
Here’s todays rumours….
Out:
Fabregas – £40m + Yaya Toure
Gallas – free
Silvestre – free
Senderos – free
Merida – free
Traore – £3m
Simpson – £4m
Eduardo – £8m
Out on loan:
Wilshere, Nordtveit, Galindo, Sunu, Fabianski
In:
Yaya Toure – p/e
Gourcuff – £20m
Mertesacker – £15m
Chamakh – free
Wellington Silva – january, work permit
JJ very impressed by that vid. Al tho I can’t really judge a player by looking at youtube clips. he does seem good.
the important question rico is who has ben spotted at the emirates??
JJ, spot on, are you starting to believe that we may be in for a few shocks this summer?? I know I am..
haha JJ, but Wenger wont do anything until the season has closed, he is too ‘proper’ and we musn’t forget, the french league is still playing
Saying that, there’s nothing to stop him getting on with selling a few like Diaby and Denilson, after all, the Championship ended two weeks ago
:
jay i totally agree that you tube isnt the best way to identify a talent..i could bang a few diaby clips together and make him look like messi
BUT
its transfer season and ive been grumpy so im going to have some fun..if that means scouting for players then so be it..
and the boy actually looks good..stats lie..the eyes dont and capoue has the package..he reminds me of alonso with alot of pace..did you see him close down fanni??? speed is what we need in our midfield and our players couldnt close down woolworths..
and his passing?? wow
Come on POMPEY
rico
wheres the link to the gourcuff rumour?? i thought i was the only one to think of it..
hes my talent i scouted him..mine mine mine..

oi sulky, i’m sorry to dissapoint but its on the transfer rumour site
if i tell you where i got it, you’ll know before me
Another player we could get – Forlan, bet he’d love the chance to show he can ‘do it’ in England….
i prefer to do my own work than look on afc..
i dont know why they are doing that page anyway it aint like we gonna sign any of em..
they just doing it for hits
ive never liked forlan rico..
hes knocking on somewhat now too
http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/
It’s this site JJ, it makes fun reading…
fairy snuff, he likes to score though…. mind you, all men do
they only good thing about the afc.com page is that it shuts all the rose tinted arseholes up that come out of the woodwork and tell everyone to stop speculating and to love and cherish all our players
I think its cack jj, all it does is repeat whats on NN… the site i looked at just makes me laugh…
wenger will buy 3/4 players whom we have never heard of
Talking of NN JJ, No7 right now
@rico as i have mentioned in my earlier post forlan is a goal poacher and if he plays as CF it can only be in a 4-4-2 and thats why he plays with aguero who does the false nine role of dragging the cbs apart and letting aguero finish off the chances.in our 4-3-3 he will be exposed as eduardo has since he can’t adapt to it.in our system there are very few players that can lead the line the way rvp does and thats why ade was sold.rvp is massively underrated imo…
see rico.
sod afc.com and transfer giggle.com..
come to AR..we know what we are talking about..
i wonder if we are one of the sites gazidis reads??
i still think rvp should play RCF..AA on the left and chamkaka through the middle..
get cesc to link with rvp, gourcuff to link with chamkaka and let Aa do wat the hell he wants..
with song or capoue holding it all together..
Good point KTR7 – you think Eduardo is a goner??
that made me laugh when i read that afc.com staff read blogs, what utter garbage eh? but i am sure ours would be one of the first ivan looked at
ave and me think he has a blog name..
ave thinks frank and i think bbk
nah, it’s Spanner
Gotta go for a bit, later all
Play up pompey
@jj rvp on the right is an interesting proposition since he can get the ball to his favourite left foot often.it may work against lower league teams but against the inters he will become predictable.he played there in his early days as a learning curve to know how a winger plays which is why he has excellent linkup since he knows when to drift out wide or through the middle breaking down the walls for other players to take advantage and thats why we scored 55 goals in 19 games before his injury since he is more difficult to mark and he has also learnt to use his chocolate leg.and jj would you want to see rvp tracking back a winger?he isn’t quick although he has fantastic acceleration over 20m(5th best in europe and 2nd best at euros behind olic).i believe aw will tinker the formation to accomodate chamack but i want to see how he acts in the window before predicting.i’ve got a couple of ideas though…
i dont think the wide forwards should play as wingers though ktr7..i dont want to see rvp and aa tracking back it turns us into a 451
what i want to see is defending from the front and winning the ball in their half and i also think its the midfields job in a 433 to help the fb’s
thats why we need box to box duracell bunny midfielders to cover the gaps but we dont have any and we get caught on the break..
preferably id want the forwards to stay forwards and the wide two of the midfeild three to track back
do you reckon we could sign the Wembley goal posts? They’d be a great replacement for Falpianski.
lol rsd
a carboard cut out of fab would be better than fab..
might as well play eboue there..he plays everywhere else
i think if we thethered almunia and flapianski to goal line they might play better.
would definatly stop the stupid decision making
pen for pompey
fuck
shit
@jj if you watch all of aw’s teams he plays his more creative players on the left(no.10′s-pires,nasri,rosicky…) and prefers his most direct players who can also defend on the right(ljunberg, eboue…) to counter the overload of attack on the left.rvp is neither and where he plays now is working brilliantly so don’t fix what is not broken.players like rvp need to have free roles for them to be effecient and leave the wider roles to players who play there.messi plays a free role and more central to get the best out of him.thats why we don’t play a 4-4-2 anymore to give cesc, robin and AA free roles in a more fluid formation with them being closer together in our formation.we need a box to box mf though…boateng has missed a penalty, drogba has scored a peach of a free kick.
Drogba
Diaby is a good player, he has lapses and isnt the sharpest when he comes back from injury, but he is a good player.
oh good arse player are gona get gps next season
http://bit.ly/d99ESH
will help theo no end
plus sol will like the suppository
I do think that for a top team, to not have an international and experienced custodian in goal is a travesty. When we won the titles, we had the England and German number 1′s. We do not have enough quality in between the sticks. Opponents know we are fragile and suspect, we know we are fragile and suspect and everyone knows once under pressure against Arsenal and you can profit, which all together is a bad mental place to be for the team, I really think just by getting the right goalkeeper we can bring that sense of calm, that would allow us to defend better and calmer. Its the panic that sets that causes mayhem.
gk is priority
Armourist nice point have you also noticed we never score from counters especially when we are under pressure poor
@Erick am a huge fan of transition goals(counters).i remember us taking the lead at the swampies during the invincibles with a great counter attacking goal.i miss the 5 touch counters, hopefully we bring them back.with chamack’s imminent arrival id also love to see some diving headers and rasping longrange shots and free kicks…
K-tr7 what was the last time scored from a free kick it feels like last season we have not maximized our potential we need to be deadly infront of goal
we lack the pace required to counter..the pace we do have with eboue and theo is nullified by the fact they run into dead ends..
and denilson totally kills the counter cos instead of threading the ball through he gets hold of it does a 360 turn and passes it to the defence..
we have no width either to counter properly..we dont pull the defenders all over we go through the middle with everything and it makes it easier to defend
Diaby has many drawbacks but he is fantastic on counters.you would think with cesc,AA,rvp, theo, eboue, clichy, sagna and chamack we will do better…i torture myself watching invincibles highlights but…boy!they were fantastic!i hope we get to see that part of our game back.we should also kill teams off early to allow time to integrate youngsters later in the match…the invincibles would lead by two or three goals at halftime and with warriors at the back we knew a comeback was just a pipedream and they would put on an exhibition…but now…
Jj when a player gets a ball he start looking for Cesc which is killing us Theo and Eboue lack the finishing touch is Aw not seeing this. K-TR7 I don’t watch the unbeaten run DVD anymore i get ulcers
Its been real Lads thats a day for me Enjoy the nite and go easy on the GG Peace
we will only get gourcuff if fabregas leaves. and another strong unheard rumour is 19 year old centre back /left back mathew briggs from fulham. youngest player to play in prem. also romelu lukaku. top scorer in belgium league at 16 wow.
new post up…
