Morning All…
Not too much going on in the world of gossip, but according to Carlo Ancelotti, we have a good chance of finishing first. About time to I think, so many managers have dismissed us as a team that can challenge for trophies this year, its good to hear a ‘half decent’ one finally recognise just how well this team is coming together. Personally though I didn’t need Carlo to tell me that to have belief in Arsenal, after all you don’t score for fun the way we do if there isn’t something pretty special going on!
I am sure his comments are genuine though, he doesnt strike me as the kind of man to join the Fergie Mind Games before their little tussle takes place tomorrow.
Tonight we will be in Brummy Land, looking to get three points off Wolverhampton Wanderers and pinch that second spot from Manchester United. After the game we head off into boring old International week – so three points and a good display is vital. Not only for the obvious reasons but that break would be awful for all of us if any other result occurs. I don’t even want to think about the glee it would give the Manchester United Television Channel, aka Sky Sports to show our ‘low lights’ during that time!!
This weekend’s fixtures are as so:-
Saturday, 7 November 2009
Barclays Premier League
Aston Villa v Bolton, 15:00
Blackburn v Portsmouth, 15:00
Man City v Burnley, 15:00
Tottenham v Sunderland, 15:00
Wolverhampton v Arsenal, 17:30
Sunday, 8 November 2009
Barclays Premier League
Chelsea v Man Utd, 16:00
Hull v Stoke, 13:30
West Ham v Everton, 15:00
Wigan v Fulham, 15:00
Monday, 9 November 2009
Barclays Premier League
Liverpool v Birmingham, 20:00
To be honest, I don’t care about most of the fixtures other than Tottenham, Both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool, all of whom I want to lose. Only trouble is Man Utd and Chelsea play each other so something has to give!
Part of me wants Utd to win and put a dent into Chelsea’s run, (and Drogba’s leg on the way) but I know the best result for us would be a draw.
By the time they kick off on Sunday afternoon, we could be second in the league, level on points with Manchester Utd, a game in hand and a superior goal difference. My head tells me that’s how it will remain as well, I think Chelsea will be too strong for Utd, if the Dippers can beat them 2-0, then they are doomed on Sunday.
All we have to do then, is keep on winning until the end of the season and the Premier League title is ours – Simples isn’t it
This weekend is not only about continuing our winning form, but proving we can travel and secure points. We need to stop leaking the silly needless goals away from home and get this game put to bed early and convincingly – Wolves are a championship side who sit fourth from bottom in the league and twelve points behind us. If we can’t boss this game and win, then we really don’t deserve anything, do we??
Wolves have managed only two wins so far this season, one at home and one away so there cannot be any other result than an away win. Saying that, our mighty side need to be all the ball from the off, treat the game as if they are playing Real Madrid or Barcelona, play football, don’t silly passes or free kicks away – in fact, just play like they did against AZ or the Spuds and all will be mighty fine.
My selection would be
Almunia
Sagna Gallas TV Gibbs
Cesc Song Rosicky
Nasri van Persie Arshavin
But hey, we know Diaby will be in there and as long as he plays as good as or better than he did against AZ, against Wolves, that should be ok. Me though, I would rather play the strongest eleven we have fit and get the game done and dusted by half time
Finally, Well Done Robin van Persie, he has scooped the Premiership player of the month for October!

Morning Roadsters…
Will this be the highest score for us yet this season, or will we sneak a 1-0 win??

ARSENAL are planning for life without skipper Cesc Fabregas by lining up a £15m swoop for Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil.
But the Gunners have been told they will have to wait until the summer to snare the Werder Bremen midfielder.
Fab underlined his commitment to the Gunners’ cause by making it eight goals for the season in the 4-1 demolition of AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday.
But the Spanish ace continues to be heavily linked with a return to boyhood club Barcelona at the end of the season.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants highly- rated Ozil to replace Fabregas’ creative spark should the 22-year-old go.
Ozil’s contract expires at the end of next season and Werder want him to sign an extension.
But talks have been put on hold until next year, casting doubt over the his Bundesliga future.
It is understood the 21-year-old, who is also being tracked by Manchester United and Liverpool, is open to a move to England and will assess his options.
Wenger was eager to steal a march on his top-flight rivals by moving for the German star in January.
He fears that a successful World Cup for Ozil, who is rated the third best player in Germany behind Bayern Munich pair Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, will see his price tag rocket.
November 7, 2009 at 8:11 am
Walcott, Wilshere, Traore, Vela and Denilson are all either back in training or due to be back in training the second week of the break
I think that is great news, by the time we go into December, a busy busy month, we will have a strong squad.
No update on Nikki though

London – I read the article about Song as a family man, bought a tear to my eye. What a lovely family man he seems…
November 7, 2009 at 8:57 am
The Dutch international side are re-thinking Robin’s role in their side and are giving consideration to playing him more centrally..
Funny story really as several months ago many fans of Arsenal were saying Arsene should play him in the same position as the Dutch do.
Funny how quickly things can change now that he has found his feet in the middle and of course, scoring for fun…
November 7, 2009 at 9:29 am
Off for while…
November 7, 2009 at 10:24 am
Morning Rico
Well, I enjoy reading your posts and like to make the effort to say so.
November 7, 2009 at 10:26 am
Family is everything to Arsenal star Alex Song
Song, 22, is married to childhood sweetheart Olivia and they have two sons, Nolan, two and Kaylian, 11 months. But Song also has a staggering 17 sisters and 10 brothers.
HOW MANY?
November 7, 2009 at 10:29 am
Rico, I agree with your team, that is undoubtedly the best we have but also agree that Diaby is a banker to start. We win 1-5
Diaby is a what?
November 7, 2009 at 10:55 am
Banker London, Diaby is a banker
Morning London
November 7, 2009 at 11:00 am
Song’s father died when he was 3 years old London, surely some of his siblings are half/step brothers/sisters
November 7, 2009 at 11:02 am
All the WW players are saying they will play football tonight and there not be a No9 bus in sight – I hope they are right, should be a cracking game then with lots of goals…… Ours
November 7, 2009 at 11:13 am
It’s interesting that Eastmond has travelled.
November 7, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Suggestion is London he may be the player to cover for Song when he goes to ACON, strange one really when you think Merida, Jack, Frimpong, Coquelin and even JET have been ‘around’ longer than him, itching for a chance to play…
November 7, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Another one has to be Lansbury, he has been doing well at Watford
November 7, 2009 at 1:12 pm
That’s our Arsene for you Rico
November 7, 2009 at 1:15 pm

I’d give everything to be there, under the 10ºC; I HATE summer and hot weather. It stinks, rico.
November 7, 2009 at 2:32 pm
I think its always the same Freire, when we are in the heat we want the cool weather, and vice versa
November 7, 2009 at 2:33 pm

TTFN
November 7, 2009 at 5:18 pm
Just before I go, Merse has just slated Citeh, he said, Toure is a rubbish defender, Lescott is rubbish and the team just bomb forward with no idea of defence….
School boy stuff
Definately off now
November 7, 2009 at 5:19 pm
London..hello mate…your image is correct…lol..
we have to win against wolves now…manure are wobbling and are getting by,by reputation..i think it may have been you who said this…and liverpool and city are in free fall…we have a chance this weekend to open a few biggish gaps…we need to keep momentum…if we are in this position or better when the ACN comes along i think we are better equipped than chelsea to deal with it and then we open the gap on them…a win against wolves and im not just tipping arsenal for the league with my heart…but also with my head..
rico
thats a good team i feel..
November 7, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Greetings all, 4 zip today aye?!
November 7, 2009 at 5:27 pm
i prefer ian wright in the commentry box…especially for the arsenal games…
yeah rico merse was good again today…
i know alot of our ex players get alot of stick sometimes, but really when you listen to them arsenal are close to them…
ian wrights got a massive gob…but hasnt he always been like that??? he was mouthy and cocky when he played for us so its to be expected for wrighty to talk shit…but then you see him junping up and down in the commentry box and you know hes still a gooner..
November 7, 2009 at 5:58 pm
Oh, and one more thing….
Now anyone say we won’t miss Song… Thank goodness he is now on, he would have not let WW dictate as they have done so far…
Hi Evo
November 7, 2009 at 6:10 pm
hi evo…
two own goals…but weve been solid at the back so far so i wouldnt call it a lucky 2 nil…
November 7, 2009 at 6:22 pm
3-0 JJ, 3-0 and the third was just Arsenal at their very very best….
November 7, 2009 at 6:28 pm
the third was a cracker…
November 7, 2009 at 7:32 pm
4-1 –
Ramsey should keep Diaby out
Song imho settled the midfield
the rest were good, but not great but again i think its because it wasn’t one of the big clubs – We need to sort that out Arsene, approach every game as if it Mancs or Chelsea – do that and the premiership is ours this year…
All the same, great result and we are 2nd……..
Night all
November 8, 2009 at 1:20 am
I’ll never predict the right score
Now a draw today between the Mancs and Chavs to keep them both in sight.
How nice is it to see Arsenal do what they couldn’t do last year – beat mediocre teams easily.
Laters all.
November 8, 2009 at 1:23 am
my 4-nil prediction was looking for all but the last 2 minutes, oh well, good win nonetheless!
November 8, 2009 at 1:26 am
I knew we’d leave one though Oz ha ha
November 8, 2009 at 10:28 am
Morning Roadsters and Roosters
I agree with rico, after yesterday’s excellent performance, Ramsey should be first choice over Diaby. AW played a risky game by resting Song. The side looked unbalanced with Diaby in front of the back four. The injury to Diaby and introduction of Song made us look a lot better instantly. There is an international break ahead so why did we need to rest players?

New Post
Rasp can you put copy and paste that onto today’s post please. Thanks
