Yesterday The Boss stated in the press that the player we are all desperate to see be given a chance is ready to play. Yep, he says Ramsey has grown into a man and expects him to play 15 -20 games for the first team this season?? Well Arsene, he won’t reach the target you have set him if you don’t play him will he?? You have said now though and publicly, so can we please leave Diaby on the bench at best, and leave Eboue to play in his natural position at RB when you need him to and start to play the lad! After all, Ramsey is a natural midfielder isn’t he??
Nasri makes his first start tonight, so its ‘only the CC’ but I don’t care, the man is back and he could just be the other half of what has been missing the last two games. I honestly think with him and Tomas back fit we will return to winning ways in the league, starting with Tottenham on Saturday. Of course, the best thing about Nasri being back and Tomas being fit means that AW won’t have to play Diaby and won’t have to play Eboue on the left of midfield – Cripes, I hope he sees it that way too. Then of course we have Theo to come back too. That all sounds a little bit better….
Another player making his comeback is Fabianski – our No2 keeper – well he was, but now Arsene has said that the fight for the gloves is between Almunia, Mannone and Fabianski. He says ‘Mannone stays in goal at the moment as we are winning – yes, its as straight forward as that – simples’
‘Arry’ has confirmed Lennon is out for the little derby at the weekend which is good news as he is their biggest threat in my opinion, Defoe too as the lad is banned.
On to tonight, the funny accents are back in London as the kids take on Liverpool in the CC. The only news on the opposition front is that Stevie ‘woe is me me’ is out, Mascerano is out but their new £20M midfield man will be on the bench ready to make his mark.. Yeah right, he is unfit, has played for ages and he shouldn’t cause too much trouble, should he??
As London said last night, this result won’t make a lot of difference to the first team, but I for sure would start to feel a whole lot better if we can will this game tonight, and win it well. You never know, win, and the big boys sitting in the crowd watching may just learn something from them – I have always believed it’s never too late to learn, and you cant rule out footballers in that belief..
The difference we will see tonight in the team I think will be a crop of players who want to show how good they are, want to prove they are worth playing amoung the big boys, want to play for eachother and ultimately want to win at all costs. I don’t expect them to be strolling about tonight wondering what to spend their big salaries on, no, we will see a team that will be focused until the end, and I honestly believe they will beat The Dippers and go through to the next round.
My team would be
Fab/Almunia
Eboue Senderos Silvestre Gibbs
Ramsey Coquelin Merida
Nasri Eduardo Vela
Just read that Wilshere is out for the match
3-1 winners
Morning Roadsters
Footie is back tonight, woop woop
Last nights results – no surprises in there then
Barnsley 0 Man Utd 2
Blackburn 5 Peterborough 2
Portsmouth 4 Stoke 0
Sunderland 0 Aston Villa 0 (Villa win 3-1 on penalties)
Tottenham 2 Everton 0
From AFC.com
Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski will make their first appearances of the season in the Carling Cup Fourth Round tie with Liverpool on Wednesday but Jack Wilshere will be missing.
The return of the French midfielder (broken leg) and Polish keeper (knee) was widely expected after they came through a Reserve game at Wolves last week. However, the loss of Wilshere (ankle) is a blow. The 17-year-old has been one of Arsenal’s shining stars in this competition for the past couple of seasons.
Armand Traore (groin) is also missing but Wenger will be fielding a relatively experienced side. He intends to use the game to give Eduardo (thigh) and Nicklas Bendtner (groin) a start. Both came off the bench against West Ham on Sunday but, before that, they had missed a few games with injury.
“Nasri comes back but Traore, who played in the last round is out,” said Wenger. “He has a groin problem.
“Fabianski will get a game too, he will start. But Jack had a knock on his ankle and will be out unfortunately. It is a question of days but we made a trial with him on Sunday and we are resigned to the fact he will be just too short to play.
So Nikki and Eduardo are starting the, maybe we won’t see Merida
Surely he will play Vela from the off, unless he is keeping him for the Spuds…
I am off out for a while, catch you later
So what are they going to, do put him in a grow bag!?
Lets just hope we have a real go at them and keep a nice tempo going without too much show boating, lets wait until we are 3 in front before we start all that!
Morning Rico
I remember, what I think was your first post: The Yellow Submarine one. Which, I thought was a good, honest, endearing first attempt, but this above is very much the confident, finished article. Superb post.
I may have miss understood this but do you want to say that Aquilani has or hasn’t played for ages?
Morning Benwell
Are you going to the game tonight?
Now I understand. Doh
“We are resigned to the fact he will be just too short to play” (Wilshire)
“So what are they going to do, put him in a grow bag!?”
Unfortunately not, so I will watch it down the pub and look forward to Saturday!
See you then, London!
A very nice post, it’s high time we all start accepting the fact that Diaby is not good for the Arsenal team and if we must play him he should only come in in the 2nd half. In todays game i will like to see Eboue,Senderous,Silvester and Gibbs in the defence. Wishing them best of luck.
Moening Roadsters.
Welcome aboard sammy j..
Nice post rico, some very good points in there.. I am going to read it again over a coffee.
The squad has been announced.

Francis Coquelin
Craig Eastmond
Emmanuel Frimpong
Aaron Ramsey
Mark Randall
Samir Nasri
Eduardo
Gilles Sunu
Nicklas Bendtner

Morning roadsters
We seem to have forgotten something!!! the more we call for Huggy to be left on the bench, the more likely it is that Monsieur le Stubborn will play him
My guess at the team
———-Fab
Gilbert,Senderos,Silvestre,Gibbs
—Ramsey,Nasri,Merida
–Watt,Bendtner,Eduardo
Hi London,
We should be able to perm a match winning 11 from those 18. I hope Nasri and Eduardo will also be in contention for saturday
Hello Rasputin
What team would you like to see tonight?
Just seen your 11 London … yep, that should do it nicely …
I’d be more than happy with your team London. I think he may not start with Nasri and Eduardo and maybe see how Coquelin and Sunu get on and and save the big guns for later.
These also work for me.
——————-Fab
Gilbert,Senderos,Silvestre,Gibbs
—Coquelin,Nasri,Merida
–Ramsey,Bendtner,Eduardo
——–———-Fab
Gilbert,Senderos,Silvestre,Gibbs
—Ramsey,Coquelin,Merida
–Nasri,Bendtner,Eduardo
No one seems to know why Vela has gone awol.
I reckon Coquelin will start and maybe Nasri too, so the first team of your last post seems the most likely … but you can never second guess Le Boss!!
Morning London/Rasputin..
I am not going to mention the new avatar Rasp.. too late..
Hi ave,
The new avatar is not staying … it’s too boring and unoriginal
What new avatar? I can only see the red and white yin and yang.
The old one was different.. are you going back or hunting out a new one?
London .. what home page do you use? It seems to make a difference, I use firefox.
It makes wordpress work slightly different to when I use the BT one.
I don’t think my old one was very popular in some quarters …. (maybe I should keep it then!) … so I’m looking at my options. The difficulty is in thesze – its difficult to reproduce anything complex in miniature….
I’ve changed it again …. it will take some time to come up. Hey ave, how about an online voting poll to choose Raspno’s new avatar
I liked the old one.. I think you either need to keep it simple or iconic.
I used to quite like Peaches old one (wherever she is) because the colour was different.
How are we going to do that rasp? We would need the choices.. perhaps in pictures. doing it via avatar could be a long process.
Haha I can see the new one in the dashboard now..
Afternoon all
London, I remeber the yellow Submerine one too, ave told me it was shocking but let me put it up anyway
Strange no Vela in the squad
Maybe he is to be unleashed against the Spuds
Eduardo and Nik are definately going to start according to AW.
No Eboue in the squad so I reckon we will see Coquelin at RB and a team of:
Fab
Coq Silvestre Senderos Gibbs
Ramsey Randall/Frimpong Nasri Merida
Nik Eduardo
Benwell – i love your comment about putting Jack in a grow bag
Arsene – sort the lads contract out then please
Arsène Wenger believes Fran Merida has “too much quality” to leave on loan this season. That is why the Arsenal manager made an 11th-hour U-turn about sending him out for a season at Levante.
Merida travelled to the pre-season friendly at Valencia with significantly more luggage than any other squad member. A temporary transfer to the Segunda División side was about to be completed and so the 19-year-old thought he was making a one-way trip to Spain.
But Wenger changed his mind and the benefit could be seen this evening at Emirates Stadium if Merida plays against Liverpool in a mouthwatering Carling Cup Fourth Round tie.
“I wanted to keep him,” Wenger told TV Online. “I nearly gave him out on loan in the pre-season but, in Valencia, I made the decision to keep him because I feel he is a classy player. He just has football in his blood and these players always have a good chance to come through.
“On the day I had to make the decision and I decided to keep him. He was going for the year to Levante. It would have been good for him but I felt that he has too much quality to go out.
“We educate the players and in the end they play for somebody else. I find that a little bit too generous, especially when you have worked with them for years.
“I believe it is important to give them the maximum chance with your club.”
Tonight is a huge opportunity for Merida given that he has entered that ‘Twilight Zone’ between Reserve and first-team football. There have been reports of interest from outside but Wenger, though aware of his predicament, is sure his future lies at Arsenal.
“I like Fran,” he said. “He had a good pre-season and unfortunately after that he was away a lot with Spain and then you get him out of sight a little bit. But he played well in the recent Under-20s tournament and now he’s back so I hope he can show how good he is [against Liverpool].”
London,
ave’s right, if you forget Google and use Mozilla Firefox (about a 2Mb download) as your internet explorer, everything is faster and there are more features …. one click and you can delete all the evidence of where you’ve been surfing
Rasp
I have firefox but I have only seen your red and white ying and yang, well certainly in the last six months. By the way how do you delete the evidence with one click of where you have been surfing?
Ha ha London, its all in the options menu for you….
Didn’t you see my Emirates avatar or now pinkie’s boots?
Blimey I am rarely right..
I see bright red Boots Rasp …
Scores for tonight please ???
You are never right ave!!
Can you do your score predictions?
Sadly I am going for a 2-2.. Liverpool will take it more seriously than Arsene..
We have had someone in with a blog hoover and tidied up the widget..
You’re right when you say you are rarely right ave
Hi rico … its gonna be 3:1 tonight, trust me
Hi Rasp, great minds
Yours is added Rasp
Is that blog hoover just another one of your slaves ave
Poor Mrs Ave
I need one of those big drums..
You ‘Aint Half Hot’ you know
Where has everyone gone – soon as I get here you all go
No peaches again today
Robbie Keane is such a twit….
Remember those days at school, when you boys and some of us bullied girls used to tell the bully, my dad is bigger than your dad…..
Well that twurp is saying..
‘Our bench is stronger than your bench’!!!
Two things to say to you Robbie Keane:-
1) It would have to be because Tom Huddlestone sits on it
2) By the time the players from your bench come on, the game on Saturday will be over, you having lost!!!
I don’t believe that the tub of lard will take it more seriously than Arsene, I don’t think he knows how to, although, when I think about it I’m not sure if Wenger does either. Hhhhmmm. Leave it to the players,I’m going for a barn storming 3-2.
Hello – I’ve been rushing around like loony today…. how is everyone
Hi peaches, I was just about to email you and make sure that creature from USA hadn’t jumped in your suitcase and attacked you at home…
Whats you score for tonight? Bet you are lucky enough to be going….
Hi rico – yes I am going tonight and it’d better be full cos I’ve been trying to get a couple of extra tickets for the past three hours and there are none
I’m exhausted….. and very confused now that Rasputin has pink boots
I’m gonna go for 4-1 tonight please Philippe, Nasri, Vela and Ramsey.
But I want Nikki to score too…….make that 5-1
Don’t panic, he is thinking of changing them – maybe they will appear on ebay
You have a fab evening and look forward to hearing about it tomorrow…
Thats not so good – but I bet it is full…
Off for an early dinner – then ready for the game
Later all
The arsenal team is miles stronger than I thought it would be.. we should win 5-1..
Damn that’s already gone,, make that 6-1
Frannnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Now then – anyone tell me that boy isnt good, and how long have Rasp and I gone on about him… eh eh?????
What have we been saying rico ??????
MERIDA MERIDA MERIDA
Merida, Ramsey and Nasri v’s EE, Diaby and Denilson …. no contest ……
Bloody heck, that wasn’t bad either
OK … 1 all, Nik should have done better …. lets see how much fight these young guns have?
No contest Rasp, not today, not tomorrow, not ever!!
Their goal was good, but a fluke
I see the Beach Boys have follwed them
Nik’s miss, I hope its not another Burnley
hey, any stream please??? :S
Why can’t just one of our keepers be positive….
Sorry Freire, I dont know – for us here in the UK its live on sky television…
Dippers are starting to take control
thank you, rico.
Nik’s probably our worst player at the moment – hope he gets a goal to build his confidence.
Freire – its 1-1 at the moment, Merida scored a gem
Same old poop defending for their goal, but a good goal
Slick smooth football purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and then Nik!!
How good is Ramsey?
Rasp – one day you will all believe me about Nik
Ramsey oozes class in buckets – Cardiff is a long long time ago…
Do you like the new widgets Rasp
Where are they rico?
Right side is weak in defence – Coquelin needs to come on and give us more imho …
Down the right handside of the site Rasp
Would you like me to email you my pink booties avatar since you love Nik so much rico?
Poor ‘ol Nik’s having one of those evenings …. maybe he should put the pink boots back on?
Rasp – No Thanks, I thought they were a pair of stilletoes
Goodness Gracious… How did we not score then… was it Nik…
What forwards are on the bench Rasp, any idea please, i didnt see earlier…
Gibbs is really good tonight
Off to make a cup of tea, unlike ave, I dont sit and demand mine be brought to me
I think maybe we should just put the bench itself on instead of Nik – it’d probably have scored that last chance
OK that’s it, I’m off to source another new avatar – all I get is abuse on here
Hi Friere .. try here to start with. http://iraqgoals.net/ch1.html
gday all, 3-1 looking good id say!
Morning.Evening Evo.. Whatever it is it’s good to watch..
ok ok – he was ok there
I told you Nik was crap …. ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yo Evo, good to see you – all good with you i hope
With Lennon out, would you guys play Gibbs Saturday???
Actuallly, would you just not play this team, but with TV and Gallas
Eastmon has done really well
Phew, that was close
it was nice to hear smudger say that pinkys finish was ‘torres’ like…thats a massive complement….
and i feel sorry for big phil…i like him but getting skinned by drogba is one thing and getting skinned by N’Gog is another…hes lost it…doesnt help playing alongside tweety pie though…
and ave, you gotta admit mate, ramseys first half super show has won me over, the kid was class…..
Hi JJ, that was better than Torres
Its great to see the first team all there in the stands, the smiles on their faces when the two goals went in was awesome
We need one or two more goals yet I fear…
JJ, I think Big Phil is even slower now than he used to be…
it was a good goal all round….good strikers goal…took the ball past his man in the box with pace and power and smashed it into the roof of the net from 1 yard….ha…
world class finish that…no keepers saving that…
i like merida too….and weve missed nasris energy and trickery…
our defence has been crap so far weve and weve only conceeded to another wonder goal…
great game of football….
Randall…. No, Not Randall………….
and thats his problem rico…spot on…his pace was found out alot before he went on loan…and its got worse…he struggles against pace, ngog and babbel are quick and he cant cope…hes shit…sorry phil, but 90% of the PL strikers cant run 100 meters in like 2 seconds…the PL isnt for you….
*can run.. CAN…..
Why’s he making subs that are going to weaken the side??????????
Off to watch the reast with my cocoa – catch you tomorrow – and i so hope its to talk about a win
Nighty night all – stay safe
Ramsey’s my MOTM so far … he’s been outstanding…..
Bollox – that is the last player we need Sendersos and Phil to face – my confidence has just dropped!!!
Where is Coquelin????????
Tough one Rasp – Gibbs and Ramsey for me
Cocoa has to wait now….
PENALTY OR WHAT?????
rico it was great to see cescs reaction when merida hit that beauty…
and i think this will be close rico…we need more goals and i think they might come but liverpool are getting alot of chances too…
but we need to use or heads and stay calm when we have the lead..weve thrown alot of leads away recently and i wouldnt mind a 2-1 if honest..
Arm across the chest dragging him back ????? Wiley you….
hi rasp….i didnt see the subs..who were they?
i wanna see coquelin…
i think watt will score you know rico
Spot on JJ, just what we are not doing right now
Hi JonJon,
Randall for Eastmond and Swatt for Bendy….
Apparently Coq is injured – but hopefully not in the coq
JJ, please please be right…
I want to see Coquelin too – why Randall when we have him??
players are tired…we need more energy in the middle…
all good, hope the footballing gods let us win this!
Rasp
dreadful free kick by tweetypie and awful keeping by Fab …. calm down boys – do what the seniors couldn’t at the weekend
watts a good move but im not sure about randall…dont think he has the right attitude for this kind of game..
Here comes the boy…………………..
What do know – his coq must have got better – he’s on
Raspy….
hi evo…
i think weve got this on…..good sub by wenger…coquelins on…
energy to the tired midfeild..dont let us down now lads..show the 1st team how to do it…
bet they add on 6 minutes
Heads boys, keep your heads………
thats good play by gibbs…well done mate
whats the 4 minutes for???
Subs and injuries I guess….. we look the most likely to score ….concentrate boys ….
To get the Ambulance to my house JJ, Im about to have a coronary
i hope we win this..this has been a good game…icing on the cake if we get the result.,,,,
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop
Night all, sleep very very well
you facking beauty!
Hi Jonjon.. That’s the trouble with Ramsey plays well nearly all game. then nearly threw it all away with one stupid pass.. everytime I have seen him play he does it..
seeya rico…
that was a good result…and gibbs played well in the last 5 minutes…showed maturity
and we kept the ball…closed the game out…
Ramsey … MOTM … quite right too although he looked tired in the last 10 minutes …
hiya ave….
yeah he looked tired he should have come off after an hour….but up until then he was superb…
hes being groomed i think ave……pardon the phrase..
hes 18 and playing like that…the mistakes will cut out as he gets older hopefully….and then we’ll have a great player…but hes got alot of competition…
fuck me, did redknapp junior just say that bendtners goal was kruyf like?????
wenger just said that the quality of that game was excellent.. and i agree..
and i agree with rafa…
i hope liverpool dont sack him….hes never going to do it with liverpool so i dont mind if he stays and i like him as a PL manager…he entertains me…
Ramsey did play well, but I thought Gibbs was MOTM.
That’s the best I have seen Merida play too..
After watching Nasri, Merida and Ramsey, it sickens me to think that Diaby will almost certainly play against the spuds.
i think i know what merida is now ave…
i think hes a central attacking mid….good left foot, can shoot and has abit of power about him…good passer and excellent close control and first touch…
which reminds me. kinky boots still has the first touch of a brick wall…he looks clumbsy…therefore hes a striker not a winger….
oh and nasri was great to see again..good player..
so many good players for that midfield….should be the end of diabyin the first team..
Damn, I was just about to say that Avenell 9:59
I don’t know how you guys can blog and watch the game at the same time.
rasp…you are right of course…
it should be the end of diaby..but it wont…wenger wont give up ‘project paddy’…
its criminal to deny some of them a place because diaby wont be dropped…
What a great game, it reminded me why I love football as much as I do.
Rambo was good but the boy who became a man tonight in my eyes was Gibbs: he did not fade in the last fifteen minutes; his takling, his positioning, his passing, his pace, everything was top drawer; I became a convert tonight.
We will be spuds no worries!
We will beat spuds no worries!
I hope you are right Evo
Ave, re your comment about Ramsey giving the ball away … let’s not kid ourselves, Cesc does that too, its always going to be the case for players of that ilk who ‘pull the strings’
i agree london…
thats what footballs about…and liverpool always brings a good game too…6-3 4-4 that 2-1…
and i think weve played like that all season london, which is why we are on telly so much recently…we are a bloody good side with a good squad….
last year pissed me off cos they were crap alot of the time but we are different this season…
ive rated gibbs for a while now….i think hes better than clichy and cole was at his age…
and i think clichys losing it so we should cash in and give gibbs the slot.
I thought Randall was going to blow it, losing possession twice within five minutes of coming on. This may be unfair but he is the top dog in the reserves and is probably used to playing in that kind of unnecessarily dangerous way but boy did Senderos and Silvestre bark at him; he stopped messing about after that.
That’s a good call JonJon, we have plenty of cover at left back and Clichy just doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. It brings me back to the trainers, why haven’t they worked on him to stop him being too clever …. he’s a defender, he should leave the showboating to others…
Anyway great game, speak to y’all tomorrow.
seeya london
Rasp that’s true, but when Ramsey does it, it is against the teams momentum and we get caught out of position when it comes to defending as it is such an unexpected mistake.
I’m back – what a good game of football that was – how was it for all of you?
Who was MOTM – we thought it should be Nikki – he worked so hard and was always there for a pass – very consistent and he scored too
The last 3 minutes plus injury time were amazing – the crowd really got behind the team as they kept possession, walked the ball into the corners, won a couple of corners and a load of throw-ins – very intelligent stuff.
Did I imagine it or was the stadium fuller than usual at the final whistle?
Have you all gone to bed and left me all alone?
Hi peaches,
Ramsey was MOTM – not for the 1st time ave and London disagreed with me and thought it should have been Gibbs – who also had an excellent game I thought
Hi peaches,
Ramsey was MOTM – not for the 1st time ave and London disagreed with me and thought it should have been Gibbs – who also had an excellent game I thought
Just posted that twice but went into moderation because I can’t spell my own name … delete it for me one of you controllers
Hi Peaches .. Merse and Redknapp said Nikki had a poor (not his best) game up to his goal..
I thought he looked strong and quite good even out wide. but it’s all about opinions I guess.
What struck me was that this wasn’t a pacy game – there were some brilliant triangles and the ball was moved at pace while the players weren’t speedy – does that make sense?
Sometimes the game is played at break-neck speed and you’re exhausted watching – this game wasn’t. Kerrea Gilbert was beaten for pace a lot of the time but seemed to have elastic legs when going into tackles.
Eduardo was brilliant the way he came out of 2 man tackles with the ball still at his feet – awesome
I have to agree with you ave – Nikki was so strong and worked hard and was always available for a pass – rasp texted me that Nikki was having a poor game and then he scored
What was the criticism from merse and rednapp – just that he hadn’t scored I suppose
I texted Irish to tell her what was going on as she was on a long bus trip and she didn’t believe me that Philippe was having a great game
I am with you on the pace of the game.. I think this is one of the secrets of Wengerball.. it wears the other team down and in the last 15 mins we strike.. it goes wrong when we score too early though..
Morning Roadsters –
What a game, what a game – just knew they would fight for eachother until the end and bou they did just that..
MOTM – Gibbs and Ramsey, both were outstanding inmho
Very close behind them was that boy Merida
Then the rest bar Nik, Senderos and Silvestre
Nik should have had at least two goals, he misses the simple chances and scores a world class one – crazy
Did I mention I really rate Merida
His goal was stunning – the first team need to take stock. If you can see the goal, shoot, you never know you may just score…
Off – got work to do, get that ave, work!!
Morning rico and all
‘Merida’s brilliance lights up the stage as youngsters shine’
Thats the headline in The Times…..
Also Arsene said ‘You don’t know my no 1 goalkeeper but I do’
Well shiver me old timbers no one has had anything to say about the match
Hi peaches – great headline..
Merida has said he wants to renew his contract which is great news….
Fabianski is out for three weeks
What a gorgeous day – I’ve been greenfingered
Good thing we didn’t lose last night and people needed to let off steam eh
What happened to Fabianski?
rico – Meridas goal was sooooo beautiful
Have a peak in the new widget peaches
Thigh injury ….
Merida – I just love him and he now wants to stay
I have been gardening today too peaches, at my Ma’s house, hardly move now !
Does anyone know when the draw is for the next round of the CC?
Hi London, we’ll know by the time we kick off on Saturday who we play in the next round – the draw is from midday on sky sports
Wow rico – did you do all that? I’m impressed….. but who corrected my spelling mistake while we were out gardening
Good evening London – Saturday lunchtime on Sky
Not me peaches – honest, been too busy
I did them yesterday
good evening all…
it was a great game last night wasnt it? but all the paper said this morning about it was senderos penalty and aquilanis return…in all fairness though liverpool looked more dangerous when he came on…they had loads of chances but their strikers cant finish their dinner…
ive just been watching when newcastle beat manure 5-0 in sky sports classics..and phillipe albert scored the 5th with a wicked chip over schmeical from about 25yards…newcastle were a bloody good team back then…and look were they are now due to bad management…
i want chelsea in the next rnd at home, then manure in the next..then someone like aldershot in the final..
my point is i really want us to win this trophy and i want the kids to do it and the icing on the cake would be if we beat liverpool, chelsea and manure on the way to winning the cup with our toddlers…piss on everyones fire that would…
who do we pick in goal for the big game against the little team at the wkend???
do we stick with mannone??? or do we go with Al for the experience???
mannones starting to flap a little but al concceeded 4 at home last season against these lot…
fabianskis injured again…i think wenger has a headache in that department…
the way i see it…is that you can play the best football around but if you dont know who your number 1 keeper is then youve got a big problem…every top team knows who their no 1 is…
i dont think wenger does…we should of gone for given really….solved that problem straight away..
Evening Jonjon
If Wenger doesn’t pick Almunia for Saturday’s game then we should read that he is going in January, I was trying to write a match report but work distracted me, although, I wrote this about Fabianski: I don’t profess to know a lot about goal keepers but after having the rare opportunity to assess three within a short period of time there is very little doubt in my mind that Fabianski is our future number one. He gave a very reassuringly professional performance. I don’t blame him for the goal, no goal keeper in the world would have stopped that; to me the young pole radiated a knowing calmness; it was if he knew that he was going to be our first choice goalkeeper for a very long time to come. 9
My match reports are sounding more and more like school reports.
Diaby: needs to pull his socks up if he wants to succeed as a professional footballer “C”. Stay behind tonight after school and write, I must distribute the ball quicker, one hundred times.
hi london haha..
i agree about fabianski…i think he did well last season and last nights goal wasnt his fault…it was a stunning goal….
mannone has impressed me also but i think fabs experience puts him higher…
and i also feel the same about al…if he doesnt play v spurs hes gone in jan..
Morning everyone
NEW POST
