We have the waiter – now we have the beer !!
Not only do we have the wonder boy Cesc from Spain, the dodgy waiter turned keeper, the very cute looking Merida, now we have another exciting prospect signed on the professional dotted line, that is
Ignasi (San) Miquel – Nice beer
The young Spanish defender, who turned 17 last week, joined Arsenal in the summer and already has high hopes for his future with the Club – well lad, if you turn out to be anything like two of the three mentioned, then we are all going to be happy, very very happy! Ok, a bit harsh on Almunia!
Then, added to San Miquel – another young one has signed on the same dots, Oguzhan Ozyakup, hopefully another fine ‘clog’ (yes I know it should be cogg) in our current super tuned wheel that seems to be turning pretty well right now.
San Miguel is a left back, and has played nine times for the Under-18’s and twice for Reserves team last season and also played an integral part for the Spain Under-16s during last season, not all bad then…
Ozzie is a central midfielder, who captained the Dutch under 16’s and was part of the Euro 2009 in the Under 17’s tournament, so his future seems bright, maybe even orange !
Add to that he has scored a few goals for our under 18’s side..
Other little snippets around are Paddy is wanted by the Italian manger Spaghetti, but two reason why this won’t happen – 1) They are banned from buying players, 2) Paddy was only at their game because his plane was delayed, he was due to have met Henry and be at our game! So the good old press used all the imagination they could muster up and hence we have a silly rumour. Oh, there is a third; he wouldn’t sign for them for all the tea in China!
Another player rumour is that we are looking to nab another Belgian; Arsene has obviously taken a liking to the Belgium ones – just like me and the chocolates!
Rumors are we are poised to move for Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour who will cost around £8million…
Defour is currently injured with a broken foot, so this sure sounds like a Wenger buy ![]()
Everton, Villa and The Dippers all wanted him, but didn’t get him, maybe the talks will begin when his club come to The Emirates in the CL – who knows.. He won’t be fit to play again until January and by the Liege will be out of the CL.
Waitrose have stolen the bosses comments about not being able to buy a player in their stores, they have decided to use his comment to promote their Essential Range of products, could be worse I guess, it could have been about making omlets
And finally, news is that Big Sol wants to train with us to keep fit, now then, is it worth taking him on board to help out in defence???? We all seem to think Paddy could do a shift for us, what about the big man – I know it would make peaches a smile
And talking of old boys, Thomas Rosicky’s contract runs out soon Arsene, please renew before he reaches 30yrs old!!
Eleven days to go
May Rocky RIP
I was bored bored bored watching the rain fall
Evening Rico
Hi Irish – did you enjoy the game on Sunday??
Are your international boys playing this week
Good Post Rico
I am confused about something: didn’t Sol join Notts County? If so, why would they let him train with us?
Hi Roadsters.
Nice post rico..
London.. Sol resigned after one game and Notts County tore up his contract.
Hi guys,
Only saw the last 20 mins but saw all the goals later. Loved Bendtner’s one and I hope we can finally put an end to people questioning Cesc’s drive to play for us.
Campbell went walkies again London.
Hi ave, ( and thanks
) and London – Sol has to sort out the release from Notts and then he is a free man again, so, could we do with him until next summer??
Him or Silvestre?
Then we would have a San Miguel and a bottle of Sol
Yep Rico – playing Italy on Saturday and the Montenegro next week.
Won’t top the group but should finish second, not that it matters cos FIFA are fixing it to get all the big guns there.
Trapattoni is annoying a lot too by not calling up Andy Reid who has done well for Sunderland.
Good job he got that one Irish, he missed before, just like Theo, missed a sitter and scored a scorcher
What is his reason for not Irish, especially if he is playing well?
As long as your boys get to SA, then let the footie talk and stick one in the pipe of FIFA
Any of you guys got a Wii game…. Its addictive
I haven’t rico.. only you and the money laundering Redknapps can afford them..
Reid and Trapattoni had a falling out because Reid wouldn’t put away a guitar after a late night session when Trapattoni told him to and since then he hasn’t played.
Gibson and S.Reid are out injured but he calls up Martin Rowlands from QPR instead
Reid has apologised and said he wants to play for Ireland…..
I don’t think Campbell can play for another club till January as you can’t move clubs 3 times in the one year or something like that
Trap is a bit stoopid then Irish, why cut your nose off etc, was he tiddled as well as playing guitar
I didnt know that rule Irish, bummer
But to Pompey count as being a club
Ha Ha ave, I have to do something now I am an old retired lazy good for nothing…….
Might have been but seen as our midfield is awash with averageness it would be clever to let Reid play, at least put him on the bench.
I know, I know I thought Pompey was just code for money laundering too
I never like to argue with you rico.. you know that..
You must ask Santa for one, they are really good and such fun – a bit of a work out without having anyone laugh at you
We have just captured for rescue a little Greenfinch, she was trying to eat the nuts off the feeder but couldn’t, she then jumped on to my hand for food – she is so so sweet… Right now she sits in the washing machine all cute and fluffy ready to be taken off and looked after properly… Bless her, she couldnt fly…….
Aggggggggh
We saved a wee little bird a few weeks back – see flew into a window and knocked herself out so we had to put her into a cat cage for a while till she came round
Irish, don’t tell me the cat was in there at the same time
Don’t know. One of ours caught a small, ickle rabbit last week. They normally eat half of it and then leave the rest for me to clean up
After all the trauma
I am off to cook some dinner, the little tweetie pie has been rescued
Guys, I have to now go, so night night from me, and a good noght from…………
catch you early in the morning… NOT !!
Evening all,
Put me down for Arsenal 4-0 Blackburn please. Thanks.
Hi all
Nice post rico – I would drive Sol to London Colney myself every morning if he wanted me too
Anyhow I can’t stand this weather any longer so I’m off to Florida for a few days to visit one of my brothers who very kindly insisted I come to stay while there’s no football……nice eh
See you on the other side of the big pond…..you will stil talk to me won’t you….
Now that is what I call thoughtful: an invite to sunny Florida during the dull Internatonal break.
gday all,
geez i hate internationals, bloody boring time of the season! I cant believe the dutch are flying all the way out here for saturdays game, which is a friendly only. Hope RVP doesnt get injured!
Thank you rico for the last line in your post.
Morning Roadsters,
What a miserable gloomy morning again, lucky old peaches, have a fab time in the sunshine…
Hi kelsey, how you doing this morning? Is it still warm in Spain?
I must say the weather is exceptional for October. It is still about 31 degrees and sunny all day. The nights are still quite muggy about 22 .Time to blog later in the day,but not sure what to talk about.
Lucky you weather wise – theres not much news about and with the break its a dull old time
Morning Roadsters and Roosters,
You can tell there is no footie … Its been like Judith Chalmers having a chat with Alan Wicker on here lately
…. I’m only jealous …
Its funny, I always knock old Eboue, but when he plays a RB he usually puts in a really good shift – maybe this is why Barca want him…
BARCELONA are said to be weighing up a January move for Arsenal full-back Emmanuel Eboue.
The Spaniards need cover for Brazilian defender Dani Alves and have failed to land their first-choice target — Shakhtar Donetsk’s right-back Dymtro Chygryskiy.
But reports in the Spanish press suggest Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola has now turned his attentions to Eboue.
The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international has been in fine form for the Gunners this season — and the Catalans could launch a £7million raid for him in the next transfer window.
Good Morning Rasp, Chalmers here
Unlike you boys who are just…. Charmers
Hi-de-hi rico,
I’m sad that Almunia may have some personal strife. I don’t think he’s good enough but I know he tries his hardest and loves the Arsenal. I think it was unwise to promote himself as a possible England keeper particularly when his performances were patchy.
Morning all,
Evo – RvP isn’t playing internationals this week cos his wife is expecting baby number II so he gets to stay at home.
Rasp – Was it the meeja or Almunia promoting himself to be an England keeper?
Also Kelsey sorry to hear about Rocky
Hi Irish,
I think it was a bit of both. I remember reading a quote from him where he said he’d like to be considered. He’s a nice guy, its a shame he’s not top top class…..
Morning Irish
I think it has been on AFC.com at some stage too, shock horror
Suppose he knows he’s not going to get a look-in in Spain.
I’ve said it before – very few top class keepers doing the rounds. Given, Buffon, Casillas, Akinfeev then you have the next tier of Reina, Van der Saar, Sorenson etc then you have the rest.
Oh and then you have Foster
Ha ha Irish
I am off out for the morning, enjoy the rainy day, catch you a bit later
Morning Rico – How is the bird?
Its not raining here
Arsenal.com, in fact the whole Arsenal PR machine is far too cheesy IMO….. I find ‘The Wonder of You’ slightly embarrassing when the crowd kinda mumble the words with no conviction …. if I had my way we’d replace it with a Queen anthem and I’d retire Gunnersaurus and replace him with Darth Vader
Irish – she has gone off to be fed, watered and given some proteins – the couple who rescue them will let us know later how she is getting on, she looked so cute sitting in the washing machine
No rain – you are lucky
Darth Vader in an Arsenal shirt? What a great idea
PS Rico – meant to point out why you should never read the Sun
“BARCELONA are said to be weighing up a January move for Arsenal full-back Emmanuel Eboue.
The Spaniards need cover for Brazilian defender Dani Alves and have failed to land their first-choice target — Shakhtar Donetsk’s right-back Dymtro Chygryskiy.”
Someone at Barca should ask Chygryskiy why he keeps running around their defence in a Barca jersey and why he’s on their official website…. The Sun

What a life….
Afternoon Guys and Gals
All the talk about Cesc and Barca, has someone tried to get back at them… This is from the Independant, not the Sun Irish
Manchester City and Arsenal will battle for the services of defender Carles Puyol next summer according to reports.
The Barcelona captain is out of contract at the Nou Camp at the end of the season and is allegedly interested in a move abroad.
According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Manchester City, who have been interested in the Spain international for some time, will face competition from Arsenal for his signature.
Arsene Wenger is aware that his back four needs strengthening after the loss of Kolo Toure in the summer and feels that Puyol would bring added experience to his squad.
Carlos Puyol?? To Arsenal. i personally cant see that one happening, Puyol is Barca, Like terry is chelsea, and gerrard is pool….
if wenger pulls that one off that will be a major transfer…puyols quality…
i just cant believe barca would let his contract run down..
hi guys anyone about? im around for an hour or two if anyones fancies a chat..(oh and ive watched a replay of the chelseaVpool game and jamie carragher is past it, his legs have gone…drogba did a job on him big time…i know drogba is a handful to most defenders, but carragher is supposed to be worldclass!!!! if that would of been senderos he would of got ridiculed, but at the moment id take sendeross over liverpools best (?) defender anyday…)
Hi JJ, hope you and Mrs JJ are fighting fit and healthy
I can’t believe the Puyol story either, but wouldn’t it be some buy, his contact is up next summer, so if he truly wants to move then Jan would be a great time for Arsene to splash some of that cash
Carragher – he has been passed it since Henry p*****d passed him a few seasons ago
And he is a bloody cheat!
hi rico,
yeah thats a good point, carrachers been shit for a bit but he cheats to make up for it, and until now its worked..ive seen him get away with alsorts…loadsa penaltys….but he isnt getting the decisions anymore, hes been found out…
so that means our 5 choice CB is better than pools 1st choice..
*******BE AWARE – NEW CREDIT CARD SCAM ******
This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information, except the one piece they want. Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it. This information is worth reading. By understanding how the VISA & MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you’ll be better prepared to protect yourself. One of our employees was called on Wednesday from “VISA”, and I was called on Thursday from “MasterCard”. The scam works like this: Person calling says, “This is (name), and I’m calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I’m calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank) did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for £497.99 from a Marketing company based in London?” When you say “No”, the caller continues with, “Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from £297 to £497, just under the £500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?” You say “yes”. The caller continues – “I will be starting a fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 0800 number listed on the back of your card (0800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. “Do you need me to read it again?” Here’s the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works the caller then says, “I need to verify you are in possession of your card.” He’ll ask you to “turn your card over and look for some numbers.” There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he’ll say, “That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other

questions?” After you say, “No,” the caller then thanks you and states, “Don’t hesitate to call back if you do”, and hangs up. You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card number. But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of £497.99 was charged to our card. Long story – short – we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new number. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don’t give it to them. Instead, tell them you’ll call VISA or MasterCard directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you’re receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you’ll see charges for purchases you didn’t make, and by then it’s almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report. What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a “Jason Richardson of MasterCard” with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA scam. This time I didn’t let him finish. I hung up! We filed a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking several of these reports daily! They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is happening. Please pass this on to all your family and friends. By informing each other, we protect each other.
Bout bloomin time JJ, him and a few others on that team cheat no end – Stevie Me Me Me is another, maybe the good thing that came out of our very own Dudu fiasco is that refs have been told to look a little harder at all clubs, not just a few
Old Red Nose has shot himself in the foot too – having had a lovely little friendly giggle with Wiley during the 20 minutes of extra time against Citeh, he turned villain on him a couple of weeks later. Other refs will not like it that he accused Wiley of being unfit and they all want the book thrown at red Nose for his comments..
That won’t happen, we know it won’t but the refs may just look a little closer at Rooney, Scholes, Ferdie and those others who cheat each week…
i never talk to people on the phone about my money…whenever someone rings up asking for info i just tell them it all should be on a screen in front of them…they know it already..why they asking you??? then i either just leave my phone on and let them talk to themselves…or i slam the phone down…the former is my favorite cos it makes them more annoyed when they think someone has been listening to them only to find out theyve been talking to themselves all along….
i once checked my mobiles last call time and i had the guy chatting to himself for a whole 4mins 15 secs..
i bet he was well annoyed…
as it goes, i once had an appointment with the bank manager…and that very morning ihad a dodgy phone call from the ‘bank’…the woman got as far as the banks name and she was ringing on ‘behalf’ of my bank, before i stopped listening to her…
when i met the bank manager i asked him about this phone call and mentioned the banks name and he said hed never heard of them…
it amazes me though that they can robb you over the phone..
technilogy makes things easier for theives too..
yeah fergies messed up there..the refs will hold a grudge..dont think fergies gonna get no more ‘fergie time’ or as many ‘penaltys’….
as for gerrard..his is a dirty cheat. but as long as he his hitting 30 yeard screamers and hitting 15 goals a season he will never get knocked….besides hes one of the golden balls of english football…
I do that too JJ – I love the saying – ‘Excuse me, which part of No do you not understand’ – I have had a few call back and have a pop, I love it
Nearly five minutes – that is bloody funny, ‘credit’ to you JJ
JJ, you are spot-on about Gerrard, the man is a thug and assaulted a DJ, paid him off no dobt, but still he is a hero of England for football – what a load of trash!! I know Barton and Bellamy have done worse, as has Pennant, but they get slated by so many fans for what they have done (rightly so) but what makes Gerrard any different?? Add to him Woodgate & Bowyer (sausage head!) Pees me off…. Grrrrrr
Off for my dinner now – chip sandwich
his time will come..like carraghers has..
fergies looking at a lengthy ban too i think…the refs wont drop this..
how are we supposed to impose discipline and respect towards the refs in grass routes football when managers like fergie slag refs of every week…i think hes gone too far this time..
ive gotta go guys..seeya
I have been trying to avoid asking this question. Do we think the club will give Rosicky a new contract? I know we would all like him to stay and I am sure he would like to himself but do you think they will actually give him one baring in mind that we have a glut of quality midfield players, add to that list the fast improving Ramsey: a young man who will not be happy sitting on the bench next season and that’s without even mentioning Wilshire.
I am a huge Rosicky fan and hope he stays but I would be amazed if he isn’t playing in Italy next season. Just help us win the league and we will thank you for the entertainment that you gave us and wish you the best.
Ooooooh 91 degrees
Hi guys – how are we all, gonna have a read and comment
See, I knew you wouldn’t talk to me
I’ll have to try to be on really early tomorrow, highly unlikely as I’ve been up for 20 hours now and I’m really tired now so catch up tomorrow, nite nite
……and weirdly my Phillipe didn’t play yesterday either
Thats it, enough of the peaches show, peaches signing off from the sun-shine state
Morning Roadsters – bit of gossip on the transfer market
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/375605519?-19387
London – re Thomas Rosicky, I hope the club extend his contact, no doubt they are just waiting to see how he holds up before sorting anything out. In years he is getting old, but his body is still young having been laying down for the last two years
I think we need to keep his experience in the squad, and isn’t he just a little bit older that Arshavin ?
He has at least three more good seasons in him and talent like his is hard to find.. (imho)
Arshavin – born May 29, 1981
Rosicky – born October 04, 1980
Keep Thomas Arsene
Off for a while, stuff to get done
Catch up later..
Morning peaches – enjoy the warm sunshine
Morning guys
London – I agree with rico about Rosicky, I reckon they’re waiting to see how his body holds up and whether he has ‘normal’ recovery time from injury – because lets face it he will get injured at some time won’t he – its a given in our team
Hi Roadsters – morning peaches
We have riches in talented youngsters waiting to get into our midfield, but Tomas is in the top 3 in terms of brilliance and the ability to change a game ….. so we should try to keep him if his fitness seems OK and let one of the ‘not quite good enoughs’ go if we are worried about the wages IMO
Hey rasp
How are you? Whats the weather doing?
Its 7.45 and already 85 degrees ……
So, anyone know why Phillipe didn’t play the other night in the reserves – he was at the Emirates on Sunday in civvies giving out a reward for something….
Hi peaches,
The weather is a lot better today than yesterday’s torrential rain. There was a frost this morning, but now the sky is clear and the sun shining (obviously
)
Actually peaches is sitting with me on my terrace
Now you know what we have to suffer every day for about ten months in the year.
Enfield ” the sunshine State” has a certain ring to it, like out of order, please try later.
i agree with peaches who agrees with London who agrees with rico about Rosicky. Well, there’s a first
Hi kelsey …
Don’t you agree with me then?
All that sun must be very boring
and i agree with rasputin, in fact as from now i agree with everyone.life is too short.
Put me down for 1-1 russia v germany, and please may arshavin come out of it in one piece.
kelsey – don’t give all our secrets away
How are you?
Enfield ‘the sun-shine state’
I know one should not make light of mental illness but this dude is retarded:
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/stan-collymore/Never-mind-Adebayor-Gooners-gripes-are-growing-over-Wenger-article154439.html
Afternoon all,
Ireland vs Italy woohoo sadly both the team’s tactics are the same
Hey Irish – d’you want to visit Enfield ‘the sun-shine state’ next week?
Hiya Peaches – Yes please
Normally I only listen to rumours I like and I like the one about Arda Turan the Turkish winger, very good player and brave. Although where exactly he would play I don’t know, what with Nasri, Arshavin, Rosicky, Vela, Van Persie, Walcott etc there
That Puyol one is terrible, what an overrated cheating heap of junk – FACT!!
peaches you should be doing holiday things not blogging
Hello Irish.
Afternoon Kelsey – sorry to hear about your dog
least he’s not in pain anymore.
Hi Guys, kelsey and peaches, will you stop rubbing our noses in the fact that you have sunshine and heat, I am bloody cold
Irish, I was harping on about Turan last summer, I love the look of the guy, and at 22, he is no kid either
Thankyou Uncle Kelsey its only 10am here so I’ve had a leisurely breakfast and am going to be taken to a Japanese garden very soon – ‘busmans holiday’ springs to mind
I’m off to the local cop shop to file a missing person report on ave
Hope he’s ok out there
Hi Rico – Yep, he really impressed me in the Euros.
Its sunny and warm here too Rico, must be only raining in England
No rain Irish, just real chilly now the sun is going down, just lit the log burner
Euros, thats it, I could recall where i had seen him, really quick and a true winger – now that would make a change for us, eh
” a true winger” – yep so Wenger would play him centrally
Getting a bit nippy here too, I have the fire ready to light for later
Is he tall – he could be a keeper maybe
We do need a new goalkeeper
Glad I am not the only one lighting fires Irish, many think I am a whimp
Mme, how tall is Turan
I don’t like the cold Rico …. I don’t like the heat either which may prove to be a problem quite soon
Not too many logs then
Numpty me, you mean Oz
Off for a game of Wii tennis now, that should warm me up a bit
Catch you in a while
Yep, Oz 8)
Must get me some sun tan lotion, although I never tan, I’ll come back from Oz tanless
Irish – how long is your stopover in London?
One day
Getting in about 8 Saturday morning and our flight to Hong Kong is 12.20 Sunday morning so have to be at Heathrow about 9.
It was a battle for me to get that day to go to the match let me tell ya.
I’m not at all happy about this
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5617324,00.html
peaches, its just rumour….
i am off all, catch you tomorrow
nighty night
Where is everybody…… ave are you ok?
Hi everyone.. yeah I’m fine.. just having a couple of days away from the computer..
You have a good time Peaches.. Oh and get some sleep.
Hi ave – my brother has plied me with copious amounts of vodka and wine – just what a girl needs after a day in the sun…..
Just seen the time….have to go to sleep, more exhausting sunshine tmoro……
Catch up tmoro – it won’t be early
Morning Roadsters, and Roasters just for peaches burning in the sunshine
Well blimey, you lot are quiet……can’t we even start a few rumours……
Hi peaches
I was on earlier but its international dead time so I didnt hang around too long
Nikki – forget numbers, just start scoring
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has candidly revealed the reasons behind his decision to change his squad number from 26 to 52 and how his teammates, the FA and personal reasons prevented him from getting the shirt number that he truly desired. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online, the Danish attacker shed light on his unusual choice to swap:
“[The number] 99 is true, I’ll explain it.”
“Originally I wanted the number 9 shirt, because number 9 has always and will always be my number. I’ve always played in it and this is the number that suits me and the one I want.
“Unfortunately I’ve asked Eduardo ever since he got here if he wants to swap, but the number he wants is taken and the guy who has his number doesn’t want to change! So he says ‘why should I change to a different number, when I don’t mind this one either?’ I can understand that.”
Asked which number Eduardo really wants, the Dane revealed:
“He wants Gael’s [Clichy] number [22], but Gael doesn’t want to change his number because he’s always played in this number as well. So you can see everyone would have to change numbers for this to happen.
“I asked the FA if I could have the number 99, they said no, then 77, they said no. I also wanted 7 but of course Tomas [Rosicky] has that, same story. They said I had an option to pick from 30 – 60.
“My choice was number 52 for a number of reasons. It’s a strong number for me and it has a meaning to me. There is a bigger meaning behind it then the numbers 5 and 2 adding up to 7.”
Asked how long he had wanted to change his number, the Dane made clear:
“Ever since I got it, I wanted to change it. I like to walk out in my shirt and feel this is a thing that I like and that I want. Everytime I walk out in 26 I didn’t feel that was right for me.”
Now that Gavin Hoyte has gone out on loan we’re a bit short of right-back cover aren’t we? Sagna, Eboue and one of the babies will have to step up…….
Kerrea Gilbert played in the Carling Cup game against WBA. Lets see how he does against Liverpool in the next round.
rico – don’t you want to come and see that game
Trust me peaches, I would love to, but for a 7.45 ko, i would have to leave home about 2pm to get there, we don’t trust anyone to shut away the chickens – so its near on impossible
Coquelin is a good RB peaches, wouldn’t surprise me if thats where he ends up either, albeit i would hope he stays in midfield, he is a little terrier, another flamini but with more talent
Deep, ha ha, how on earth does it make any difference what number is on your back, he is stupid for coming out with that – he is staring to get a bit of a knocking on a few blogs, this won’t do him any fav’s with the fans
Some people are superstitious like that. I used to like wearing number 3, even if I couldn’t get “3″ I wanted a variant like 13 or 23 etc.
” he is staring to get a bit of a knocking on a few blogs,” – Can give a guess who this is, a bit sad to mock a kid who gives an honest answer to a question asked but then again when all one does is moan and bitch it ain’t a surprise…
Oh well, no one about, so catch you another day ….
stay safe
To be honest Rico I don’t see how you think it is stupid for him coming out with what he said, what is stupid is people getting so worked up about it.
P.S. Not having a go at you Rico, it just annoys me no end that some “fans” have to criticize every little thing our players do especially when its not one of the crowd favourites.
Hi Irish – I do think he is daft, why does he set himself up to be ridiculed? I watched an i/v with him on ATV and he made himself look like he had no interest in football in england and no interest in us – maybe thats when i lost a little respect for him, and why i feel like i do!
Would we hear or read this kind of i/v from Dennis, TH, or NikNak ??
Irish – I know you are not having a go – its how you feel..
But I do want him to prove me wrong Irish, honestly I do
He’s only what 21/22 and trying his hardest.
To be very blunt and honest, if I didn’t support Arsenal I wouldn’t care for football in England, outside the top 4 and even within it at times the football is boring and predictable.
Spain is far better.
That feeling doesn’t make me any less an Arsenal fan just as Nikki’s comments doesn’t make him an less an Arsenal player.
I read an interview with him in the Arsenal Mag lately and he seemed to realise how important and how much an honour it is to play for Arsenal and how he wants to make it work that is enough for me.
Maybe because I’m not from London and/or Islington I’m a bit detached so our views probably differ. Its not like the old days anymore, football is a job first off now.
I was indifferent about Bendtner this time last season Rico but I was at the Bolton game in January where we were 0-0 and struggling.
Bendtner came on and worked his socks off and got that goal, since then I’ve been behind him 100%, added to the fact that useless plank Adebayor was trotting around the pitch just to keep warm.
ok ok ok ok – i promise to leave him alone
You are right though, the footie here is poop, all but the mighty arsenal, and do i dare admit, manure are not far behind us
Being serious, you are spot on about game like the bolton one, but my gripe is why when he starts can he not be the same? Eduardo is similar, off the bench and make an impact, play from the start and just doesnt have the same effect… why is that ??
Agh no Rico you are always fair to Bendtner – if he has a good game you say it, its just some people pick a player and they never give him a chance. Bendtner could look like Pele the next game but people will still say he is cack, you know what I mean?
I don’t know. Bendtner is still quite young so hasn’t learnt how to impact properly and look for the ball although from what I have heard he is more authoritative playing for Denmark.
Eduardo is a quieter player, he just loiters but when he gets the ball he can do anything with it.
The likes of Drogba very much operative by making their presence felt while Eduardo likes to go unnoticed but give him an inch and he’ll take a mile.
Basically what I was trying to say is that you may notice Eduardo’s impact in a short period but over 90mins he looks like he’s not doing anything.
Or maybe he is just a super sub?
Irish – Thanks kind of you to say that, and I really do want him to do well, he is one of us
Its the same with Eboue, I just want him to drop the RADA and play as he does at RB, he has something to give the team in the right place – Its like London always says, if he wears the gooner shirt then support him, sometimes though frustration gets the better of me.. As I know it does with us all..
I have to go now, sadly, as I could go on all night, a trait we women have
Have a great evening and I hope you have the fire lit – nighty night
I do indeed have the fire lit and am watching a League of Ireland match…well kinda, its a bit dull
Take care and talk soon
Oh no there was life on the blog and I was on the beach
No need for a fire here
Irish,
In case I don’t get to blog with you before you go away to Australia, it has been a pleasure to have blogged with you, someone so comparitively young but articulate and one of the best posters around, who really knows their football well.
Good Luck
Morning all, NEW POST
